I don’t think he’s referring to buying of these stock..
JIJO means jump in jump out oo.. which you can do in any stocks on nse whether fundamentally sound or not..
If you must make it in NSE or maximise returns, you must JIJO the only thing is the right time to JO.

NSE is not for keeping any stock long time...you must continue to evaluate. Take profit and move to the next or re enter at a lower price.

Those saying JIJO is not a strategy are just amusing me. In an irrational market which could last longer than your liquidity, JIJO is the best strategy. I will not go into details.
Let them be, they should ask those that accumulated fundamentally sound Lafarge are still bleeding...

For now am buying stocks for keep for minimum of 10 months, most especially the stocks that will give me 100% return by March/ April next year. Even if they go down they will still move up, with God on my side I strong believed that 100% capital appreciation is for sure, with dividend on top. It might not be the stock you are thinking for now, I have chosen not to disclose any stock I am in. But will always add them when recommending good stock to buy. JIJO strategy does not help at all, it only makes one miss opportunities.
Those fundamentally sound stocks hardly do 100%, yes good dividend but not 100%price appreciation, unless over a longer period of time not 10 months.

When I be like my Oga Loco, i will go for more of dividend stocks, for now I need more of those penny with potentials like Fidelity and CHAMS, that can do 100% appreciation and still give me dividend.

If the only problem is excessive split of their shares and our regulators approved and listed...up till now SEC & NSE says they did no wrong. We have NO case against MTN. grin

I am more concerned about adding more CHAMS until above N1.00 and OLAMS deal announcement than MTNN. MTNN has the least share in my portfolio

You are the cause, one secret in NSE is that don't advertise the stock you are already into, it seen as monkey hunting. The company might be good. But the more you advertise them the more loophole people will see. You are already in mtn, and we may join you later after seen their q2, which will be their first result to enter corporate action of NSE. Then if their result match their price them you that already in will be at advantage, but if the reverse been the case OYO.
What you just stated above is also applicable to Zenith bank that you are accumulating, cos I will enter at below 18 after you are done accumulating at N20. grin

I can tell you for free, Zenith you have all your hope on will find it hard to break N20, but faster and easier to reach N17.00, advert or not a stock that will go up will go up...

Over analysis...continue until you see it @N200. grin grin grin

You are now comparing MTN to Stanbic and GTB that will pay you less than N2.50, did you look at that balance sheet carefully or you just rush to pick just the part you like.

And people still think DF's 5 plants including mills and pasta, logistics and access to 2 ports is expensive for the binding offer.

I have made it a policy not to attack people on Nairaland even when they come after me.

But one thing I don't appreciate is misrepresenting me or painting lies about me.

1. When have I ever talked about South African market? To the extent of saying it's better than the Nigerian market? Kindly quote me on this.

2. No! I am not more active on the NSE than you, nor you than me, why? You don't know me and I don't know you. So that is just an assumption that is baseless.

3. I don't discuss the stocks I have? Really?

a. I said it here I have sold my holdings and I am waiting patiently for the economy to show me signs things will change. Cc, my advice on having a liquid money market fund to hold funds and wait for opportunities.

b. I have said it here that I used to hold UCAP and Afriprud, I have said good things about Afriprud here. If logical reasoning won't make you understand I probably used to hold Zenith bank and 1 or 2 FUGAZ, then that's not my fault.

4. As for negative things to say about all stocks on the NSE, kindly refer to 3b above, but let me explicitly state that I have said people should be careful of Diamond bank, Unity bank and later Access bank for buying Diamond. I have said Transcorp at 1.7 naira was overvalued and newbies should be careful of buying it and expecting the price to keep increasing. I have also said MTN is overvalued, but I never ever attacked MTN as a company. I have said Dangote Flour is overvalued at the price Olam wants to buy, definitely something else is involved and because I don't know the full details it's a risk I am not interested in.

5. Still on negative things to say, I have also said the ASI of NSE will still be pressured downwards due to current economic realities and outlook. See 3a above.

6. Finally, I have quoted one more company I can't currently remember when someone brought it here to talk about and gave my opinion on why I thought it was overvalued.

GT bank? Stanbic? Zenith? Mobil? Total? Even the controversial Oando? What have I said about them?

So let's put everything in perspective - Diamond bank? Access bank? Unity bank? Dangote Flour? MTN being overvalued at current price? Transcorp being overvalued at 1.7 naira at the time? Nestle being a good business but also overvalued? All my opinions. Which I will always stand by.

My opinion about the NSE still going down? Still stands!

I am not always bullish, deal with it! Bearish or bullish I will make my money. I.e. diamond and Transcorp shorting.

Next time you want to come at me, please do so without lies. Thank you very much.
Since you have sold all your holdings and currently out of the market as clearly stated in point 3a. You will do us good by not confusing people.

We all cannot leave the market. Once people leave the market they start predicting doom and economy collapse. Forgetting that an economic collapse means your money anywhere invested is worthless.

I don't know what is hard to understand ....OLAMS is the one that approached DF. They need the Flourrmills and other added benefits from Alhaji for their other businesses.

"As contained in the document, DFM notified its shareholders, The Nigerian Stock Exchange and the investing public that the Board of DFM has received a binding offer from Olam, to acquire all the outstanding and issued shares of DFM that are not currently owned by Olam through its subsidiary, Crown Flour Mills Limited. As at the date of this announcement, Olam, through its subsidiary, holds 5.113.229 shares in the issued share capital of DFM"

The total consideration offered by Olam and being considered by the Board of DFM for the entire 5 billion issued shares of the Company is N130 billion. The document explains that the Consideration represents the enterprise value on a debt-free, cash-free basis, payable in cash at the closing of the proposed Transaction. Furthermore, the proposed transaction would include DFM’s five strategically located facilities engaged in flour and pasta manufacturing, as well as its logistics capabilities including access to the ports of Apapa and Calabar.

Lol. The Olam deal is a bad one if you ask me. All this analysis people are doing. Something else is involved in that deal. There is no how you look at it, the current price is too high. Should be lower.

Because you feel Dangote is a baby in business.

Please dont be angry i just came in . After approval of Dangote Flour mills with who (stock)?
http://venturesafrica.com/the-impending-sale-of-dangote-flour-mills-plc-at-a-value-worth-361-million/

Africa’s largest indigenous industrial conglomerate, Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) on Tuesday released a public disclosure, announcing the impending sale of its business division, Dangote Flour Mills Plc (DFM). The company may sell off its entire equity ownership to partner, global food and agribusiness leaders, Olam International Limited.

As contained in the document, DFM notified its shareholders, The Nigerian Stock Exchange and the investing public that the Board of DFM has received a binding offer from Olam, to acquire all the outstanding and issued shares of DFM that are not currently owned by Olam through its subsidiary, Crown Flour Mills Limited. As at the date of this announcement, Olam, through its subsidiary, holds 5.113.229 shares in the issued share capital of DFM.

“It is I intended that the Transaction will be executed through a Scheme of Arrangement, under Section 539 of the Companies & Allied Matters Act Chapter C20 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 and other applicable laws, rules and regulations. The Offer is subject to, amongst other things, shareholders’ approval, regulatory approvals, the sanction of the Federal High Court, as well as the absence of a material adverse change in DFM. If the conditions of the Transaction are satisfied, and the same is sanctioned by the Court, the Company would be delisted from The Nigerian Stock Exchange.”

"MTN Nigeria paid N123 as dividend per share(DPS) in 2017; N251 DPS in 2018 while in 2019, it is projected that the company will pay N8.8 dividend per share. The sharp drop in its dividend per share was as a result of increase in its shares in issue. Between 2016 and 2018, MTN Nigeria’s shares in issue were 407 million. The shares in issue were increased to 20.4 billion to allow more local individual and institutional investors benefit from the progress the company has made overtime in Nigeria.

How RMB Nigeria Stockbrokers arrived at N147 per share target price

The target price of MTN Nigeria is put at N147 per share with an overweight rating."

The move comes as stakeholders in the Nigerian Capital market are demanding for the list of all brokerage firms that handle the buying and selling of MTN shares, to prove to the general public that its allegiance lies with them and not the powers that be.

According to one of them NSE should “release the names of all brokerage firms that were involved in buying and selling MTN Nigeria’s shares from May 16 – May 22

According to an analyst, Jude Fajoku, “Free float worldwide is all about quantity of shares and not about market valuation. Let us go back to the basics. The NSE should remove this rule amendment immediately, ‘the value of its free float is equal to or above N40 billion on the date The Exchange receives the Issuer’s application to list.’

“The price of a company’s stock should not be brought into the free float discussion. The core and only matter should be number of shares freely available to trade relative to total outstanding shares. Amend the rules so that any company with an intended or expected listing market value in excess of $500 million (N180billion), can only list by IPO.

Listing by Introduction will not be allowed for companies with listing valuation expected to exceed $500 million. The NSE and SEC should never have approved a listing for MTN by introduction. The regulators had the leverage as this is an involuntary listing and they let it go to waste!

“MTN Nigeria is dominating the Nigerian telecom industry; has a dominant stake on the NSE (20%), and is dominating the headlines in scandals ranging from disobeying regulatory directives, exporting cash to its parent market without required documentation and underpaying taxes by $2 billion to the Nigerian tax authority. MTN Nigeria has sued the Attorney-General of Nigeria for N3 billion in regards to the underpayment of taxes accusation. The cycle of serenading the bad and vilifying the good in Nigeria appears to be alive and well.

MTN Nigeria’s listing has been added to a long list of what is wrong by action, while espousing what is right by words” he said
Make una allow MTN rest, every major company has enjoyed one privilege or the other due to our own lapses and lazy regulators.

Even Dangote enjoyed some privileges that allowed him list, such may not be available to those that follow. For now na Airtel and Glo go carry that scrutiny.

MTN is gone and I can tell you the high and mighty all benefited.

But people jumping in are doing so because of capital appreciation the news will bring, or the payment they will get from Olam if the deal go through, not because the like Olam, nor neither do they feel that Olam will do well. But we must always remember that it's 50/50 chance it might favor or fail.

There might be something they are looking that Dangote might not be willing to release or he might release. But a buyer can also change his mind at the dying minutes, he might buy or might not buy. That's why it's 50/50 game.
The only risk here is Alhaji saying No which I fully understand. But I don't think this would be the case as Alhaji is fully involved here and must have given his blessings prior to the news going public.

That said... I am fully in this bus and I await OLAMS alert. Registrar is the least of my worry as I will open and close office with them until they pay.

OLAMS are a stronger player... I think they would do well than Tiger brand. Don't forget they are already playing in the sector with the purchase of Crown Flour Mills. They really need access to those 2 ports not just their Flourmills business as they are a big player in the agricultural sector !
