Crude oil price always determine the direction of Nigeria stock.
If the price of crude oil move up, stock price will move up, if the price fall stock price will fall.

Incase if the price of crude oil fall below 40 dollar per a barrel, please sell your stocks and hold the cash, but if the price of crude oil move above 50 dollar please look for good stocks and buy.

On Conoil, is like their result came out at a wrong time, if the crude oil price fall further again, I doubt they may not sustain their rally.

Mainwhile, if all things been equal, and crude oil price move up from tomorrow as I wish and pray, that mean we are entering into the bull week, and massive bull period.
If you guys follow these Oil fluctuations bumper to bumper it would cause panic in your portfolio is all I can say...Oil for 2016 would likely stay above $50, which is good for American Oil companies and OPEC. Pay little attention to electronic oil traders. US Economy is strong, Europe is picking up well and looking to end QE (see EUR/USD Chart - 6 months TF). Asia is not bad. Long term market stays bullish.

Thank me later.

I would worry about Oil/Stock Market when the US economy is weak, same with Europe Or shows signs of stagnancy.

Looking at ConOil revenue, the firm continues to increase its revenue from White products than other companies in its sector. This can be seen from the vast business empire of Adenuga.

ConOil is my own Mobil...We Ride and Die with Adenuga as he continues to expand his business empire. Meanwhile J. Berger is welcome. Etisalat, I can't say grin

I would be very interested in what the company generates from the huge pile of cash it is sitting on.

Let me sail my boat towards Conoil, after the bull run, market should look their way ahead of result.
Market should make way ahead of Year end result. If I don't see #70 I will not sell. Looking forward to Q4 2016, Q1-Q2-Q3 2017.

If result is good, then it would enter Long term Portfolio.

The way most people flow price fluctuations in this stock market, they might end up having HBP. Enter @ a good price and walk away. Sell once you hit TP, unless it is for long term 2-5 years.

That you shoul think about. It happens everywhere in the world!

A reputable company like Etisalat would have headed to court if need be!

I guess u clear now?
We know they was a default, just saying bank's cant do any justice. NCC and FG should step in and take over. Last time I checked we bailed out banks run by this same people.

http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/202746-panamapapers-secret-assets-of-etisalat-chairman-hakeem-belo-osagie-uncovered-in-tax-haven.html

Mr. Belo-Osagie’s father, Professor Sunmonu Belo-Osagie, was the gynecologist to the family of former Nigerian military president, Ibrahim Babangida. His family’s connections with the military in the 1980s was a springboard for his appointments as a Special Assistant to the Presidential Adviser on Petroleum and Energy and later as Special Assistant to the Minister of Petroleum and Energy, positions he admitted in interviews opened for him his first road to fortune.

In 1998, he acquired a controlling stake in UBA and became the bank’s Chairman. But the businessman, who is one of the sponsors of a new $120 million shopping mall currently being developed in Jabi Lake Abuja, was in 2004 forced out of UBA by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) following a complaint by US authorities.
In 2002, UBA, under Mr. Belo-Osagie, became the focus of a CBN probe over money laundering and foreign exchange abuses.

This Bello seems to be a bad business Man, but going by news available we need to find out what Etisalat did with the loan. Nigerian Mangers are very funny set of people.

Am I shocked hearing Adenuga is interested in Etisalat... grin You can point to the single denominator.

It would have been a perfect opportunity for the government to take over and list the company on the NSE, but greedy banks would not let it go forward. Watch how they would mess up the company and start diverting contracts and fill in positions for their selfish benefits.

Access Bank has now taken over
the management of telecommunication company, Etisalat Nigeria.
Besides Access Bank, other local
and foreign banks are said to be part of the takeover of the telecommunication company which takes effect from June 15. The take-over came as a result of
a futile effort by Emerging Markets Telecommunications Services, EMTS, promoted by- one time Chairman, United Bank for Africa, UBA, Hakeem Bello- Osagie, to reach agreement with the banks on debt restructuring plan in the protracted $1.72 billion (about N541.8 billion) debt impasse. However, EMTS Holding BV, established in the Netherlands, has up to June 23 to complete the transfer of 100 percent of the company’s shares in Etisalat to the United Capital Trustees Limited, the legal representative of the consortium of banks.
Etisalat Group, the parent company of Etisalat Nigeria, announced the takeover on Tuesday in a letter filed to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirate .
They would not hesitate to take over the firm since its a juicy sector so they can later sell to themselves. If it was their usual junk loans they would sell to AMCON. Access bank in particular are too aggressive. Their escapade with Uba's Capital Oil comes to mind. If not that he was more smart than the management.

But they(CEO's) cant take decisions like this without the approval of their shareholders.
Oando Ceo and his team are masters in their craft. Have you seen Oando financial documents and resolutions, my brother you will go crazy reading it. You need a highly experienced lawyer on standby to dig deeper. When they want to divest they tie it to raising money for business expansion and reducing debt.

I would never forget how they increased their holding in the firm through the back door at a much lower price, it was at that point the market knew their game plan and priced it accordingly. A lot of people on SMN complained about it and till date Oando has lost it.

Mr Tony, separated the hotel from the transcorp and name it Transcohot when the price rose from 50 kobo to #6, without given the Transcorp share holders some percentage of share in the hotel.

The same way he removed the oil sector (oil well) from Transcorp and name it "Tone oil" with nothing to the existing share holders of Transcorp, and I believe that soon, he will remove the power sector before the expected huge amount will be paid to him.

He is just using Transcorp as one man business without considering the investors, and that keep moving Transcorp one step forward and 3 step backward.

https://www.google.com.ng/amp/www.nigerianmonitor.com/revealed-check-out-the-full-list-of-owners-of-nigerian-oil-blocks/amp/
In case if you are doubting go through the list you will see from the link above and check the owners of OPL 281 and OPL 2008 "that is Transcorp & Tenoil"wink
This is excatly my anger with most of this CEO'S, investors go through hell with them and when light starts to show up they start unbundling the company gradually for their selfish benefits. Leaving the empty can to small investors.

Look at what WALE is doing @Oando after raising so much from investors he keeps diluting their shares and divesting major revenue generating businesses. Why on earth would Oando divest its downstream assets to Helios

The least I expected them to do was sell to existing shareholders at the same price Helios was willing to pay, and list it as a separate entity on the stock exchange. You can't quantify what Oando share holders has gone through in the last 5 years.

If Tony is towing the same line, time will tell.

with dis audited Q2, should we xpect any dividend?
Don't be in a hurry, the company is trying to raise funds over 100 billion needed. It has raised 9 billion in bonds, next phase is 20 billion through equity.

Be rest assured that the year end dividend would be mouth watering as usual. According to the CEO, power sector contributed 20 per cent, upstream five per cent, and the downstream contributed 75 per cent for 2016 year end.

In the long run more revenue to be generated from power sector, and i hope they prepare for the NNPC biding when it is open, so I guess they are doing the right thing raising capital ahead of time.

My best advise, if you have the money...FORTE OIL below #80 keep accumulating.

On Monday, Forte Oil said it was on track to achieve its target for 2017 and that based on its performance so far, it could pay out half of its earnings as dividend.

It said its fuel distribution and power business accounted for 95 per cent of its operating profit and that it hoped to announce its half-year audited account before july 31
Forte Oil Plc has said it is planning to sell shares worth N20bn to institutional and high net worth investors, and has applied for regulatory approval for the transaction.

The energy firm said on Monday that the capital raising would be done as a public offer for shares through a book-building process to help price discovery, adding that it had applied to the Securities and Exchange Commission and Nigerian Stock Exchange for approval.

It said its core investor, Zenon Petroleum and Gas Limited, owned by billionaire, Femi Otedola, with a total stake of 62.97 per cent in the company, would not participate in the offer, according to Reuters.

They should issue some rights to existing shareholders and the balance to institutional investors, that is the way to go. Anyways better to keep buying from the floor to avoid story that touches the heart.

The issue is this Nigeria is never static in regards to market trend, we tends to switch lanes easily. Today its konga tomorrow its jiji, people are unpredictable most times. Sometimes you start up something with passion and it turns out big, trust me it doesn't make you a professional and for this reasons you need to keep it tone down. Linda blog was doing fine until she moved to social and hardly do i see anybody talking about it. Linda is smart however she did not jump out to start lecturing people on blogging. Almost every young Nigerian wants to blog for fast money nowadays, without the proper knowledge, patience and scopes to drive the traffic. With so much fancy blogs out there nowadays which of them has the traffic NL has? i think he should just repackage if he wants more money but for me, with this child's play he is making millions of naira.
Very true, sometimes expansion if not well manged can be become crisis. Saw it with a large Company like OANDO when they purchased Conocophllips assets. Linda Ikeji, don't know how she is managing it, but I felt the social thing could distract her audience.

In a nutshell, Mark got the smart hands he needed, of course, thanks to the links he got from professors within the space. The support he got really paid off, as Mark Zuckerberg succeeded in founding Facebook, the largest social media empire in the world today, worth over $150b.

Seun, on the other hand, had it really rough, no thanks to the fact that where he comes from, a school dropout is considered nonchalant and unserious. Nevertheless, the zealous Seun never stopped for people’s opinion. Although, he had no professors or advisers to seek counsel from, no team of smart engineers to recruit, and no major fund raising — compared to Zuckerberg who got $500,000 in angel investment in the summer of same year he started his venture — Seun Osewa still managed to create the largest Nigerian forum of today, Nairaland which has over 1.5m monthly users and ranks as the 7th most visited website in Nigeria currently.

https://techpoint.ng/2017/06/14/build-internet-business-ecosystem-nigeria/

Personally I think Seun although I like your style of entrepreneurship, I think its time to connect with the youths more through Talk shows, seminars and conferences.

You have more than enough ideas to share, let's benefit from your wealth of experience.

2015 year end PAT - N5.8 billion

2016 PAT - N2.9 billion Fell 50% due to high finance cost soared by 154.9 per cent from N1.7 billion to N4.3 billion.

Fast foward to Q1 2017 PAT - ₦1.88 billion an increase by 97.49%

Expect more revenue from the power sector and more expansions on the down stream sector.

Give or take Final year end PAT should be within 7-10 Billion

Q2 would give more guidannce, and I think by the time Q2 result is out, the right issue should be on the table. The rights issue would need a catalyst in Q2. grin
