Well I do understand you are a pest, all I need is a pesticide. grin. But you know stop ranting about AD, we do know how good he is. You are screaming as if he's not been doing that for a while. grin
Fam, some folks here were questioning his mentality, just because he came from the Pels that had a sh*t team.

What is your problem man? you seem to be pained that the GSW got a win. No body claims GSW is an elite team, we understand we are gonna be having a tumultuous season, you don't have to keep reminding us.
Naaah, that's what I'm here for, I'll keep reminding y'all. cheesy

Great game however, he has been coming for the everyone since he entered the league. Before you'll come and tell us LeBron made Anthony what he is. grin grin
Playing with LeBron has only given him that extra push he needed grin

Put up this line in 3 quarters.

Scary thing is the team is shooting horribly from 3. So many open looks missed.
Yea, we need to fix that. And we need to quit starting games slow.

This is a warning to the rest of the league, Anthony Davis is coming for all of you.

Warriors pouring their anger on the Pelicans... wink

Meanwhile, how did we give up that lead?? shocked huh
Still ended up winning by just 11, and giving up 123 points angry

Isn’t it hypocritical that you can make conclusive statements about the Lakers after only 3 games but you almost drove yourself into a stroke when others made statements after game one? Don’t refer me to your last statement because it quite contradictory.
When you show me what's conclusive about my statement, we can discuss
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:26pm On Oct 28, 2019
The Lakers might actually be the best defensive team in the league right now. I for certain know that we have 3 of the best rim protectors in the league. And our perimeter defence is not lacking much either. It's early days, but I like the signs.

I am sorry for thinking the summer helped improve your mental capacity. I don't think it did.

You see that sign there? It means not equal to.

In other words, when people say Lebron is no longer the same Lebron of 2012/13. It does not mean he is now washed. He just isn't the same player. And it is very clear with each passing game.

You can keep living in denial. Just don't make excuses when it becomes more glaring to you.
I don't care what your yeye sign means, I'm telling you that people on this thread said LeBron is washed.

it's obvious that mauling of GS by OKC is making you not to think straight cheesy

You're a clown with obviously shaky command and interpretation of English.

When it is crunch time, it is what AD can actually do on the court that would matter not your opinion or that of Pelinka so stop inundating me with nonsense

But tell the king his clothes are made with invisible thread not that he is naked.

You must be a drycleaner for you to say LeBron is washed.

Lol

Pelinka is not AD's son or father.

That was the essence of using Eric Trump as an example.

I tried to forget who you are for a second. But you always want to remind me.

Lol
If I say I get your point I'm lying.

What's good for the goose? I just gave them a taste of their own medicine but they can't take it and the funny thing is they can't see the parallels or the motive behind it. I was actually about to speculate yesterday that Kawhi Leonard is washed for the same reason.

Celebrating the clippers beating the lakers as if they didnt do allstar numbers on them. Shameful thing is he called the clippers the lakers neighbors in CAL, Last time i checked the warriors are also in California, how can a warriors fan not know that? Its funny how warriors fans have gone from chest beating to trying to troll other teams when their team is a pitiful joke.
Such a bitter pill to swallow.

Unless I am not getting your point, no one has ever done what before? No one has ever had such a ceiling? Does potential count as doing? You might want to think of the kind of phrases/ words you put together to make your point. His potential could put him in the conversation of top 5 point guard in the future(your perspective) or even a top 5 player for the best case scenario. However your argument so far puts him up as a top 5 point guard amongst PGs like dame, Kyrie and co, you even went as far as stipulating that Stephen curry is no longer himself. How can u come to such a conclusion after 1 game? Na so you go go do wey the guy go drop 50. Trae's potential does not describe his now. And as i said he still has to outperform Doncic , and actually get ATL to the playoffs. So get out of here with your basket argument. grin
But some folks here said LeBron is washed after one game cheesy

You clearly answered your own question.
Right. We should look at it in isolation, just like their game against the Lakers.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 8:26am On Oct 27, 2019
Can we now say that this Clippers defense is grossly overrated? I mean, how on earth do they concede 130 points to the Suns?

Or maybe it's just one game and we should look at it in isolation.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 8:23am On Oct 27, 2019

You dont need superpowers to be able to take advantage of a big on the perimeter. And Kawhi is elite.
That's where you're getting it wrong. AD is not a big

Hornets Grizzlies Mavericks Spurs Bulls Heat Raptors Suns Warriors Kings Hawks Thunder x2 Grizzlies Spurs Pelicans Wizards Mavericks.

The lakers next string of fixtures look very favorable before they have to face the nuggets, jazz (most likely firing on all cylinders this time around) and trailblazers. Perfect opportunity for them to blend and gain some momentum.
We should be 18-1 by the time we face the Mavs for the second time smiley

Why would he? as good as AD is defensively in the interior hes barbecue chicken for someone like kawhi. Hes like a fish out of water against an elite wing.
Smh. You think this is video game, where Kawhi has some kind of super powers.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 5:24pm On Oct 26, 2019
KarnBarlow:
AD moves his feet well enough to do well against some wings especially on switches but to consistently stick with a good wing let alone kawhi is a tall order. Danny Green was very good guarding kawhi but the lakers need another defensive wing. Igoudala would be a seamless fit. They may cut him but if they wont, give them kcp.
Nobody is saying he should or would stick to Kawhi the whole game. There would be switches obviously, and they won't even be on the floor together the whole time. The thing is Vogel didn't even try it at all. What was the point stationing both AD and Javale/Howard in the paint when he could have been useful somewhere else?
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:27pm On Oct 26, 2019

AD cannot guard 1-5. Quoting Pelinka even makes you sound very ignorant. Will Eric Trump not say Donald is the best US president ever?
Pelinka is not AD's son or father, so why would he say he can guard 1-5 if he can't actually guard 1-5? Pelinka is a basketball GM, so I'll take his assertions over yours any day. Even Steven A. regularly says AD can guard 1-4.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m):

Lmaooooooo you're dreaming. You think snagging a few blocks here and there is the same thing as on ball defense. It's actually Kawhi that can check AD not the other way round
I have a feeling you're concluding that every tall player should just be a rim protector.

Here's Pelinka saying he can guard 1-5, and you're here on Nairaland thinking your opinion matters

AD can not, I repeat, can not guard four positions. There are few players who can do that right now in the league IMO. Draymond Green and Giannis.

AD doesn’t have that kind of quickness to guard Kawhi for a long stretch. Help defense is different from On Ball defense.

Let’s not confuse the two.
Lol, you're funny o. You think AD just glues himself to the paint? AD is a forward, don't let his height deceive you.
And for your info, AD played point guard in highschool.
