Tundesam923: its looking like it(regardless of the Utah match), his shots are been blocked more often...donovan mitchell? 6'1? but mehn, kudos to him. Lebron is a great, great player...top 5 of all time in my opinion. Whose shots are blocked more often? Did you even see the way Bron tried to make that shot? Like say na him get the whole court, instead of using the glass. |

A40: You can only beat what is in front of you. Klay Thompson played 4 games and 3 quarters so heavily depleted is a stretch. Golden State have also benefitted from beating heavily depleted teams.
Kawhi is the best player in the league rn. Make your peace with it At this point we'll agree to disagree. Kwahi is your king, LeBron is mine. |

KarnBarlow: This lakers offense is painful to watch but their defense has been top notch. Playing much better defense than one of the best defensive teams in the league. And yeah thats the Bron i know. DOMINANCE! The only reason Kawhi dropped 30 the other night is because Vogel thought it right to put KCP on him. Just imagine. If it were me I'd throw AD on that man. But as you said, the defence is better, LeBron is even playing some elite D. Maybe it's because his offensive workload has reduced. Long may it continue. |

A40: Alaye. Prior to Kawhi's injury he was in the discussion already. His exploits last post season cemented that position. Give the man his crown. When it was LeNomad's time (from 2011 onwards) everybody agreed he was the best. Why is it so difficult for you lot to do likewise for someone else
If we're going by purely regular season ball then it can be argued that James Harden is actually the best player in the league not even una Queen OK, I get it. For you to be crowned king, you need to win a heavily depleted team. |

Eruditor: On the day those shots fall LAL will win. But how many days will the shots fall against the Clips? Not enough. Because that is not the strength of their game nor the weakness of the Clips for LAL to capitalize. Remember my argument has been about LAL as title contenders not that they are a bad team.
As for GSW, I did not learn anything about the game more than I was angry at Steve Kerr and the...you hate to hear it..refs for some of the nonsense they let Beverly do that they called fouls against LAL.
Notwithstanding, GSW are a new team essentially and things will look off here and there. We have lost by more points with better teams so nothing new. All I know is, every foolish person prophesying dooms day for GSW will be totally wrong. Anyone being too optimistic will be disappointed as well. I am cautiously optimistic. So a team that has two of the top 10 (arguably top 5) players in the world are not title contenders? Lol |

Eruditor: It was one game just like any playoff game will be one game. But what are the upsides to the way LAL played?
That AD will hit most of his post-up shots and that Lebron will have less turnovers. There is nothing else. Lakers will not become this grand shooting team and you won't win an NBA title these days without above average to elite shooting which LAL do not have. That is the reason that game was significant. It showed both Clippers and LAL's strengths and weaknesses but also showed which team had the higher upside. What did LeBron and AD go for combined, wasn't it something like 16/40? And you think that's the template for the rest of the season? I know PG wasn't in the game, but we were missing 3 rotational players(Kuz, Rondo and Caruso) who would have gone a long way to improving our measly bench tally of 19 points. No matter what anybody says, I'll be stupid to be so critical of the first game of the season. There's a lot of rustiness, teams are still trying to find the best way to play. There are 81 more games to figure that out. Bros, you should know better. Or have you written GS off already, seeing that you lost by 19. |

benji93: Partially, we didn't look good for the entire duration of the game. The game was already gone before the end of the 3rd quarter. Clippers is kind of the ceiling now as Golden state was in the last 4/5 years. This is the first game of the regular season though, we didn't expect much from the team. We only hope we make the playoffs. If we are to go by your assertion, then it's safe to say RIP to your darling Lakers. I'm glad you recognized that it's 'just one game', unlike some folks here that think the world is coming to an end. |

benji93: Hell no, you can keep your opinion to yourself though . West brook gets a lot more assists than Curry, but most people consider Curry a better passer than he is. İ am still trying to figure out what sophistication there is to Trae's passing. But in all this, LeBron is still the best passer right? |

A40: Lool you can never stop yarnin Okoto meow meow skrrrrrrrr skrr.
The best player in the league is a moving target and no one player's birth right.
Mind you Kawhi was already knocking on the door before injury derailed his campaign in the 2017 playoffs. Maybe you have forgotten the Spurs were blowing out Golden State in Game 1 till he got hurt. He had finished runner up in MVP voting and 3rd in the years leading to his injury.
I was one of the doubters he could return to form but after what he showed last season, he has usurped LeNomad and that fact you need to embrace If he does a similar feat this year then we can coronate him, but for now, he's just a mere contender. King no dey fall like that na, King fa. |

Roland17: Alaye! Your own player needed D. Green to be out to get his 3rd title. We can bend this thing as far as we want, you don’t want to go there! If we begin to make subjective interpretation of how a title is won, na you go “seke” because your MCM dominated a weak conference in making consecutive finals appearances. You don’t want to go that route bro! Your MCM has not been the best player in the league for 2 consecutive seasons. I know it hurts but don’t worry you would be alright! Lol. E say D. Green , because he didn't play in 6 games. Because he didn't even play in game seven. Chai. Imagine D. Green stopping LeBron from winning a title. And to get to the playoffs, didn't LeBron play WC teams too? If you mention someone like Harden as the best player in the last 2 years I might agree, but for you to mention someone who, out of nowhere, steamrolled his way to a title after months of absence from the game, na that one I no go gree. |

SmooshCHN: Oh!! Now it's depleted Golden State? But the Warriors were not depleted when he won in 2016 because the league suspended Draymond with Bogut and Iguodala got injured and Steph playing through knee Injury? *Laughs in lowercase*.
Kawhi is doing everything LeBron does without the noise but I still got Bron in front because he has been consistent with his performance through the Years. Age is not on his side and you have to accept that.
But you guys ever heard of a healthy Kevin Durant? Lol. Tha f*ck is this? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:48pm On Oct 24, 2019 |
Roland17: Based on what parameter? Maybe you should be specific by saying according to you. My brother, I know it is difficult to accept but your MCM lost that title last season and has not done anything to show he has regained it this season. The best player in the league is in LA but on the other side. Your so called best player in the league needed a heavily depleted Golden State to win Finals MVP and the title. Is that who you want to bestow that crown on? As far as I'm concerned LeBron still has the crown and no one has taken it from him. It doesn't take one year to lose a crown, neither does it take one year to win it. Even Curry tried for 4 years and couldn't. KD has been trying since he came into the league but still can't. It's one nigga from somewhere that managed to win one questionable title that wants to collect it. Make I hear abeg. |

Who would have thought Phoenix suns will beat Sacramento Kings
Who would ever thought Minnesota timberwolves will defeat Brooklyn nets(with kyrie starting,he look very happy at Brooklyn.i know immediately he stood up to address the crowd). Suns beating Kings is not a surprise. They added some good players...Rubio, Baynes. And remember they still have Booker and Ayton. Underrated team. SMH. And why can't Minnesota win the Nets? |
