KNIGHTBlaed: Ok then... look at your roster and tell me if the Lakers team is not stacked to the brim. Y'all still added D.Howard, Boogie, Danny Green, Bradley, Cook and you still have Kuz, Rondo, McGee, Curaso (sic) (remember you guys kept saying he's underrated and has high basketball IQ) . You have the better individual players abeg, fear God na. Kilode? Is that not why we're leading the west? TF are you saying? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:37am On Nov 11, 2019 |
Lol, I had a feeling there'll be some backlash but I didn't envisage this. How long has it been since y'all got the opportunity to slander LeBron and the Lakers. I'm sure you've all been waiting for this moment. Well, enjoy it while it lasts, and I promise you'll have very few of these opportunities this season. LeBron had an average game, and that's the reason we lost. I'd be more worried if LeBron dropped 40 and we still lost. P.S One team still leads the west, I wonder which team that is. |

Roland17: This is not remotely close and the difference is by a gulf..Klay is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than Beal, infact there should be no level of comparison on both ends of the court. Klay is a tier 1 or 2 superstar, some may argue tier 1 conclusively and they will be absolutely right in my books. I'm tempted to ask you whether you watch basketball, but it would be condescending of me. |

Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:14am On Nov 11, 2019 |
VaughnSangrey: Klay Thompson scored 60 points in 3 quarters on eleven dribbles. Better and more versatile defender. Beal is good but Klay is a game changer, playing alongside other great players makes him less appreciated but one can argue hes just as important as steph to the warriors. If you have any doubts, ask OKC. Klay can single-handedly win a game on his day. Among SGs, only harden is better. To be honest, I'm not buying any of these |

Don't consider Victor's injury woes.

benji93: What he is doing is placing Le (3-6) bron on a pedestal. He attempting to create a scenario in which Le(3-6)Bron can never take a knock. It's either he lost because the other team is one greatest team of all time. Or he wins, in which case you know the story. Lol. You folks are just scared af. Don't worry, June is almost here. |

Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 8:52am On Nov 10, 2019 |
KNIGHTBlaed: I see what you're trying to do here. Same thing you did the Warriors, Hyping them as much as you can so you'll be the first to laugh if anything happens. Nice try.
Now tell us, your team has AD and Bron, will you say Kawhi/PG13 > Bron/AD? Then look at the rest of the team and bench and tell us which the best team in the NBA is at the moment. Look closely at your coaching crew and look again, then come and tell us the Clippers are the best team in the League or the best team ever assembled. A team being balanced does not mean they have the best players on the team, you've decided to start arguing recently that the Clippers are the most complete team in the league. PG13 is not even back and so is Rondo and Boogie. Do you even know how many allstars you'll have? Is Danny Green not amongst the Raptors that won the chip? Abegi enough with the hype, we see what you're trying to do.
Please I suggest your face your own team and hype your team. Y'all have got them best record so far, so why not hype your team and leave us alone. Apart from the Lakers having the better duo, and only slightly, I believe everyone here agrees that the Clippers win all other aspects. The HOF coach, the two best two-way wings, the best 6th man, second best 6th man, best defensive point guard, a deeper bench. Y'all should be united so we'll know how to tackle you. |

DeeMain: Would they have beaten the Sixers and Bucks too? I don't think so.
Everyone agreed last season that Ujiri's DeRozan for Kawhi trade was the key masterpiece that won Raptors the championship.
It doesn't mean they weren't a good team before him or that he did it alone. It's just that they were not good enough and wouldn't have gone that far without him.
Let's not play convenient revisionism because we don't like a player or because time has passed and people have forgotten. I just stated my stance, and you added your own. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 3:19pm On Nov 09, 2019 |
TalonVonner: What is that supposed to mean? I have no idea what you're talking about. I know you're hyping this Clippers team so in case they win the Lakers, you'd say "I told you". But don't worry, we'll beat them 4-2 in the conference semis. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 3:15pm On Nov 09, 2019 |
TalonVonner: Best two way player in the league, Kawhi.
Second best two way player in the league, PG.
Best sixth man in the league, Lou.
Second best sixth man in the league, Harrell.
Best defensive PG in the league, Pat.
Hall of fame coach, Doc.
This team is on paper as great as some of these teams, they just need the accomplishments to prove it. On paper no other team in the NBA can come close. I'm glad you mentioned it twice |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 3:11pm On Nov 09, 2019 |
TalonVonner: Paul George is arguably the second best two way player in the league after guess who? Kawhi Leonard. In the right setting PG is a beast in the playoffs as he was in Indiana. Don't mess with playoff P. Lol. There's a playoff P now? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 3:06pm On Nov 09, 2019 |
TalonVonner: Just admit it. The clippers with a healthy kawhi and Paul George are one of the greatest teams ever assembled. The Lakers will be in trouble. I'm a Lakers fan, I absolutely believe this. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. We have to see them do it in the playoffs before making any conclusions. After all, Kawhi and PG are just one man each, they won't make their team play 7 against 5. On paper they are great, but when it comes to the court, you'll see where determination takes effect. The only reason I'm quite confident about the Lakers is because of the LeBron factor, we know he doesn't mess around when it's time. Plus the Warriors ain't the Warriors anymore and KD might not make the playoffs. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 2:56pm On Nov 09, 2019 |
DeeMain: This your depleted teams narrative Not buying. I think The Raptors without Kawhi would have stood a chance against GS without KD (and Klay for 1 and a half games) |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 1:07pm On Nov 09, 2019 |
DeeMain: I do not agree. Kawhi has the it factor. A player can be very good and not have it. A team can be good and still be cut down in the playoffs when the chips are down if they don't have such a player. Without Kawhi or a Kawhiesque player Raptors wouldn't have won that championship. You never can tell, after all, they faced depleted teams. |

SmooshCHN: it's so clear why you saw something else other than LeBron's poor defense on KD or when he switched. Miss me with that gay shít please. Lol. It's now poor defence. That was a propaganda video bro. Whoever compiled that video didn't show the other times LeBron successfully guarded KD. But of course, let's stick with the narrative. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 3:28pm On Nov 08, 2019 |
