smokers: beginning to fall in love with nba daily. getting addicted to watching skip, Shannon Wright, Stephen a Smith and Max kellerman daily. though yet to decide on an nba team to support any suggestions I suggest you go with a team with actual history, like the Lakers and Celtics, and not teams that want to cheat the game like GS. Pathetic team |

birdman: Yup. Big mistake. In hindsight, Clippers was the place to be or Philly even. This is a tough lesson to learn for Bron. He could never have believed Magic could pull this kind of stunt. Gotta separate personalities from business. Otherwise they smile in your face and rob you blind.
But, adversity that doesnt kill you makes you stronger. With some wisdom, this can work out for good I don't understand, what is the business here? Was his business not to come here and earn a good retirement package while basking in the Hollywood sun? Is he not on a supermax contract. Lol, y'all think Lebron is the loser in all of this, my man has paid his dews in this league and he's just going to enjoy his money whatever happens. |

A40: Lol I don't know what has to happen for the Lakers to realize that players are no longer falling over themselves to play for the Lakers.
The idea that they are this dream Free Agent destination is a strong form of delusion. LeNomad joining them kinda reinforced this delusion and in a way I kinda feel bad for LeNomad, he must be low-key regretting why he didn't just go to the Clippers with Steve Ballmer and his bottomless pockets Why are y'all taking panadol for someone else's headache? It's like we haven't still understood the kind of man Lebron is, even after 16 years. We are going through a phase right now. Lebron knows it, the players know it, who ever is going to join knows it. Because Ty rejected them for offering him 3 years, now hell has been let loose? Just relax and stop letting the media fool you. By October, we are going to have a new coach and at least one more superstar. We are the Lakers, remember. |

Eruditor: I feel it will force him to not be cute and passive but to attack the paint as much as possible and collapse their defense. Expect players like Jerebko to play very well with the wide open shots they will have.
It won't be easy because Refs will cheat like they did in 15/16 to get an extension of a series but if Curry goes back to the guy he was even during the regular season, this will end in 6. Lol, what happened to the wide open threes Curry and Clay was getting when KD was driving to the rim? Or do you now prefer Jerebko taking threes than Curry taking them? |

Eruditor: Your own is to listen to Nick Wright and come here to post rubbish. Go and watch the game and see the type of wide-open 3s Curry missed today and all series long. In fact, the 3pt shots he made were more difficult than his misses. Even Curry misses a few open 3s from time to time. It didn't start in this series |

Stop talking claptrap. Do you think we started watching basketball yesterday? Forgive me if you didn't watch the game against GS when Lebron pulled his groin. |

Eruditor: You have not watched any of the games. It is screaming through your posts.
Successfully guarded my foot. Both players have gotten most of the shots they wanted. It just did not fall. Curry of 2015/16 will average 40ppg in 25mins going by the type of shots he has missed. Lol, gotten most of the shots they wants? Not entirely true |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 8:01am On May 09, 2019 |
Eruditor: We were losing this game with KD on the court and then won it as soon as he left. Not because we don't need him but because other players stepped up. That is who we have always been. All that rubbish from so-called analysts is for ratings. That's usually the case when a major threat gets off before the end of a game. It kinda takes the opposition team unaware, because KD was in their original plan, and suddenly he wasn't. Kind of like when Lebron got injured against GS. GS still got blown out in that game. But in the subsequent games without Lebron what happened? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:54am On May 09, 2019 |
SIRcumalot: This na opportunity the rockets they blow like this. Relax. Now the Rockets have two whole days to draw up a plan to stop Curry without worrying about KD |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:37am On May 09, 2019 |
Eruditor: We can survive without KD if they don't cheat. I know some people will not agree but we kinda looked better without him. KD is the best player on the team but he is more like a bail-out player. Someone who helps you when plan A fails. When he is plan A, we seldom win. In fact, most of his 50 pt game performances came in games we lost.
There was more spacing with him out and somehow our panic instincts set in and we looked more controlled. Lol. It's easy to say all these now that you know KD ain't playing. I don't want to hear you mention KD when you guys get swept in game 6 without him. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:33am On May 09, 2019 |
benji93: I am starting to think, that might be better. Let's have Curry start as the driver with no other dominant offensive weapon, so he can get his rythm early Don't sleep on KD now, without KD this team will struggle. Who are u going to play? Bogut? Looney? Come on. Let's be realistic. And we've seen in this series that Curry and Klay can be successfully guarded. |

Hardetayour: Clown. So Houston as a team lives in the midrange abi Calling me a clown wasn't really called for, but I forgive you. I'm just trying to engage you in a discussion about GS and you mention Houston to cover it up. One thing about Houston is that they can have a bad day beyond the arc and still sneak a win (which they almost did in game 1&2), but GS, they could do it but it's always a struggle for them. It's clear in this series that if ever Houston shoots significantly better than GS on 3s, they're likely to win that game. Damn, I had to go back to find out that I didn't even start up this discussion with you. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:35am On May 07, 2019 |
Eruditor: Green was fouled on his last layup. Curry had a good look to tie the game but I am relaxed. Why? Because 17pts down at their ground and we took it to within 2. With how well they shot the 3 ball..they will need that type of miracle at GSW and they won't get it. Plus we will get more foul calls in that game. We need Klay to go bunkers in one of the next 2 games because this will end in 6. Lol, I like the way you analyse things from a glass half full perspective. But if I were you, I'd press that panic button now. Don't you get it that the threes ain't dropping? I said here before the PS that everything would eventually come down to how well the splash brothers shoot threes. Live by the three, die by the three. |

Roland17: My brother, I have not missed a single second of this NBA post season and that includes Warriors games.
I would have taken up your debate but I can see you already have your Chef hat and lenses on, consequently, it would be impossible to help you see other wise. Wow, you watched all the first round games, both in the east and west? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 8:11pm On May 05, 2019 |
Eruditor: You are sidestepping your own argument. You started by saying he has been short 1 all post season. Now you have backtracked to say not all post season but in the last 7 games. That is the first bone of contention out of the way.
Next you say he was only impactful in games 1&2 of the clippers. That is not true. His only bad game against the Clippers was the game he had 12pts. The other games he even had better efficiency than KD but was limited by foul troubles. These are the arguments I have made.
I don't know how you don't see that it upturns logic to say a player who averaged 24 on 50%/50%/94% was being carried or is underwhelming just because someone else averaged 35ppg. That will mean, you feel like he has to average 30+ppg to not be underwhelming. Which is why I brought up Kyrie, Murray and the likes whose numbers are worse than that.
I have not once come here to say Curry is doing well against Rockets not once. In fact, I said I don't expect him to be shooting this badly (this was even before the game 3 clunker). So I am not excusing him at all. I am only challenging the notion that;
1. He has been bad all playoffs long 2. And is being carried.
Finish.
Takes nothing away from KD who we all know is the best player in basketball. I am sure I even argued when someone wanted to claim it was Giannis of Harden. The past 7 games is virtually the whole of post season, ain't it? |
