A woman who was told by doctors they couldn't remove a tumor growing on her face as a child has revealed how makeup has helped her to embrace her condition.

Rhonda Manring, 27, from Virginia, was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis, a genetic condition that causes benign tumors to grow along the nerves, when she was two and was told by doctors that surgery could do more harm than good due to her age. Her tumors grew larger as she grew older and she began experimenting with colorful makeup, before starting an Instagram page which quickly amassed thousands of followers.

The confident 27-year-old now believes her followers have helped her to embrace her condition, revealing: 'I'm glad I have the life I have. I wouldn't trade it for anything.'

Rhonda was first diagnosed with neurofibromatosis after her sister pointed it out when they were children.

She said: 'My older sister noticed my neurofibromatosis and pointed it out to our mother. She immediately took me to the doctors.

'When I was diagnosed there wasn't much they could do that would help; it would have done more harm than good doing surgery back then.

'I went through a lot when I was little; from breaking my legs a total of five times each and wearing a halo to try and make my right leg grow.'

Walking out among the public has often been a negative experience for her, with parents pulling their children away from her to avoid them 'catching' her condition.

A driver who mowed down an elderly pedestrian and condemned him to die a ''broken man'' has been spared a prison sentence after he argued that speeding was 'something that happens'.

Businessman Arif Ali, 42, had been travelling at 44mph in a 30mph zone when his VW Passat knocked over 80-year-old Akbar Niazi as the elderly grandfather was crossing the road.

The victim was left with a broken neck following the impact and was subsequently paralysed from the neck down. He was unable to eat by himself and less than two months later passed away after choking on food he was unable to swallow.

Inquiries into the tragedy in Westhoughton, near Bolton, on New Year's Eve 2018 found that had Ali been driving within the speed limit he would have been able to slow down in time and allow Mr Niaz to cross the road safely.He also had previous speeding convictions from 2016 which left him with six penalty points on his licence.

In a statement the victim's daughter Rozanna Niazi a former lawyer and psychotherapist said: “I received a call about my dad's accident on New Years Eve. I was at a neighbour's party and everybody was looking forward to bringing in the New Year.

“I had to go outside as I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I remember being in a terrible panic and just thinking “dad” and “broken neck” being in the same sentence.

'I was in a state of utter shock and trauma. If he didn’t have the surgery, he would have died. They could only offer palliative care.

"If he hadn’t had the surgery, his prognosis would be severe disablement. We had no choice but to have this surgery, otherwise there was no hope. I had to remain as a veneer of optimisation to support my parents who were in such a dire situation.

“The following weeks were a battle. My dad was a broken person. He believed he was never going to recover as he was paralysed from the neck down. He couldn’t swallow for himself, he couldn't eat or perform normal bodily functions.

“My mother travelled everyday taking four to six buses. She became like a ghost, she is also in her 80s.

A father and daughter are both battling cancer at the same time, with the daughter having breast cancer and father battling kidney cancer.

Jessica Duffield, 22, has been forced to put her studies on hold after she was diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time in three years while her dad fights kidney cancer.The 22-year-old was just 19 when she was first diagnosed with the condition and underwent chemotherapy.

But last year, she received the terrifying news that the cancer had returned and she has now been having radiotherapy.

As a result, Jessica, who studies food manufacturing at Chester University, has had to defer her third year.

Her dad Keith Duffield was diagnosed with kidney cancer after medics found a tumour on his spine.

Jessica, from Newcastle, told Stoke on Trent Live : “I had a CT scan last February and nothing was picked up. My oncologist then looked at it in August, spotted abnormalities, and booked me in for another CT scan.

"I was looking at the symptoms online and feeling anxious. A few weeks later, they told me I had secondary breast cancer.

A baby girl born with a serious heart condition, who was deemed a 'miracle' for surviving after she was taken off life support, is about to celebrate her first birthday.

Phoenix Da'Vine, from Temple Hills, Maryland, was diagnosed at birth with a double outlet right ventricle, a heart defect that makes it difficult for blood to throw through the body properly.

After undergoing two surgeries, she went into cardiac arrest when she was just seven months old and had to be placed placed on life support.Fearing that Da'Vine would spend the rest of her life in hospice care, her mother, Monique Goldring, made the heartbreaking decision to take her daughter off of life support in April 2019.

Doctors gave Phoenix just six hours to live, but those hours turned into days, weeks and now months.

Phoenix is currently at home and - although she's on oxygen and taking a slew of medications - she will turn one year old in less than two weeks.

Goldring gave birth to Phoenix via C-section on August 25, 2018, after developing pre-eclampsia, a pregnancy complication characterized by high blood pressure.

'I had migraines for like a week straight and my mother was like: "You're going to the doctor",' she told DailyMail.com.

'They found out I had pre-eclampsia - and I had a clean bill of health my entire pregnancy - so they decided to do a C-section then.'

Phoenix was born full-term, weighing seven pounds and two ounces. While Goldring was in recovery, the nurses performed a routine check-up pm the newborn.

They found her oxygen saturation levels were extremely low and detected a heart murmur, so she was admitted into the neonatal intensive care unit.

Phoenix underwent an echocardiogram shortly after and was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition called double outlet right ventricle (DORV).

A teenage girl's body was found inside a rusty steel drum amongst weeds at an abandoned Auckland state home.

Seventeen-year-old Dimetrius Pairama had earlier been given the chilling choice of how she wanted die, the High Court at Auckland heard today.

"There is no doubt that there was a murder, there is no doubt as to the injuries to the deceased," Justice Timothy Brewer told the court.

The teen's body was found in a vacant Housing New Zealand property on Buckland Rd, Mangere Bridge on July 8 last year.

Before her death she had been kidnapped and tortured, the Crown Solicitor at Auckland, Natalie Walker told the court.

She was beaten, tied to a chair, gagged and her naked body burned with an aerosol can and cigarette lighter, Walker said.
Pairama was then "presented with a chilling choice".

She was asked how she wanted to die.

"Death by hanging or stabbing?" Walker said Pairama asked.

She was then strung up from a pole with a makeshift noose made out of old sheets, the court heard.

Her battered, naked and lifeless body was then cut down and wrapped in sheets and plastic.

"Her body was hidden inside a rusty steel drum, amongst some weeds, at an abandoned state home," Walker said.

Carlton Donaldson, 23, was jailed for at least 23 years after he was found guilty of murdering Daniel Baird, 27, in Digbeth, Birmingham.

Donaldson's friend Sashon Brown, 25, was also jailed for two-and-a-half years after he was convicted of violent disorder.

Footage captured from The Forge Tavern showed Carlton Donaldson, aged 22 at the time, and his friend Brown getting into a heated argument with Dale Scott, a friend of Mr Baird.

A 20-year-old Michigan man, dubbed 'miracle man' by hospital staff who saved him, was brought back to life after being clinically dead for 20 minutes.

Michael Pruitt had been working with his stepdad on a construction project in Livonia on April 30 when a metal ladder he was carrying touched a live electrical wire.

He was instantly electrocuted and his heart stopped. 'I remember being electrocuted while holding that ladder and shaking, and then nothing,' Pruitt said.

'Like in the movies, when they're getting electrocuted, it felt just like that, being shook like crazy,' he told 7 Action News.

A bystander called 911 and started CPR, a move the hospital credited with making the later resuscitation possible.

It took around four minutes for paramedics to arrive. They attempted to revive him with the defibrillator while en route to the hospital, but he never regained a heartbeat in the ambulance.

'They brought in this perfect young man who had no vital signs,' said Dr. Angel Chudler, an emergency room physician at Beaumount Hospital Farmington Hills.

'I said to my team, "We’re bringing him back." And then I said to him, "You better come back!"'

Doctors shocked the dead man's heart again using a defibrillator, but nothing happened.

A woman who suffered facial paralysis and partial deafness due to a brain tumour the 'size of a racquetball' was initially told her symptoms were due to pregnancy.

Jessica Holroyd, from Michigan in the US, first experienced dizziness, headaches and unsteadiness after the birth of her first child Josiah, now 19, when she was 22.

The barista, 40, said she initially assumed her symptoms were due to childbirth, lack of sleep and being a first time mother, so she ignored them.But her ailments worsened when she was expecting her second son Ethan, now 17, in 2002, and she found herself in so much pain she 'couldn't get out of bed' for most of her pregnancy.

Jessica was rushed to hospital only to be told doctors couldn't find anything wrong and her symptoms were attributed to her pregnancy.

She then gave birth to her son six weeks early and, instead of her health improving, her condition became worse.

'I first started to notice symptoms after the birth of my first child when I was only twenty-two; I was having dizzy spells, headaches and once in a while the room would spin when I made a quick or sudden movement,' she explained.

'I just attributed my symptoms to childbirth, lack of sleep and crazy first-time mum life. I didn't think much of it at the time.

A morbidly obese man who weighed a staggering 320 kilos after living off fast food has dramatically shed more than 60 per cent of his body mass in just 12 months.

Andrew Zed, from Sydney, fell into a spiral of 'depression eating' after his fruit and vegetable business collapsed eight years ago before his marriage broke down.

At his heaviest, the 41-year-old said he was required to book two first class seats on a flight for $21,000, he couldn't fit into any regular car, and no restaurants could accommodate him because they didn't have any chairs to hold up his large frame.

His daily diet consisted of croissants, bacon and egg roll, pizzas, whole chickens, garlic bread, fries, ribs, pasta, ice creams and litres of soft drink.

The former business owner said his turning point came after his doctor made a shocking admission his 'oncoming death' would see him covered with bedsores.

Determined to lose his weight once and for all, Mr Zed dropped 201 kilos after he ditched mammoth meal portions and soft drinks - and he found love again along the way.'My doctor said I'd be bedridden within a year, I was practically that already and once that happens it's more or less over and I'll die with bedsores all over me,' Mr Zed told Daily Mail Australia.

'Nothing I've ever heard had frightened me as much as dying covered in bedsores.'

Before his dramatic weight loss, Mr Zed said he found himself spending his day just eating unhealthy meals, sleeping and playing online games.

'To call it sedentary is an overstatement. I basically became a hermit. I worked from home on the phone in sales, and when that became too much of a chore I just ate and slept... All I did was order fast food non-stop day and night and play video games,' he said.

'At my largest, you could throw the Lowes 'Big Man' catalogue away. Everything I wore had to be custom made but I wasn't exactly going out much. Most of the time I wrapped myself up in a King-sized bed sheet.'

As his weight continued to pile on, Mr Zed said he went from 140 kilos to a whopping 260 kilos after he lost his business eight years ago, before he went bankrupt.

After his marriage ended, Mr Zed ballooned to 320 kilos.

A young woman who has battled severe sickness throughout her life has revealed how her unwaveringly resilient spirit has carried her through some unbelievably difficult times.

Brianna Worden, from upstate New York, was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis (NF) Type One when she was just two months old; the condition means her entire left side from the neck down is covered in tumors – both inside and out.

The 22-year-old, who loves to sing, has undergone 10 surgical procedures in her life already, having to learn to walk again at eight years old and even learning to speak once more after a particularly difficult surgery recently.

Brianna told Barcroft TV: 'It's just an everyday battle that I face. A lot of my childhood was spent in hospitals, kind of like in movies when you're looking at the child looking out the window looking at everyone else having fun.'

Speaking about her tumors, she said: 'When you look at it, it is scary. But I don't care. I flash it; I'm like, "Hey would you like to know more about it?"'

Brianna explained that she also had a titanium rod going down her spine. Yet despite some truly harrowing experiences growing up, Brianna has remained consistently positive throughout, overcoming every setback, and even getting her Bachelor's degree in Psychology.

Her mom, Janna Walter, said: 'Brianna's personality is like sunshine. She's always positive. She has challenges for sure. However, she doesn't let those challenges get in her way.

'I've been told by a variety of different doctors at different times in her life, "She'll be lucky if she makes it to age seven" or "She'll be lucky if she makes it to age 15, she'll be lucky if she makes it age 20."

The family have been going to the same hospital in Boston for over 20 years.

A retired jockey died when she fell onto an eco-friendly metal drinking straw that went through her eye and impaled her brain, an inquest heard today.

Elena Struthers-Gardner, 60, suffered horrific brain injuries after the freak accident at her home in Broadstone in Poole, Dorset on November 22.

She was carrying a mason jar glass with a screw-top lid when she collapsed, with the 10in stainless steel straw entering her left eye socket and piercing her brain.

Today a coroner said metal drinking straws should never be used with a lid that fixes them in place, and warned that 'great care should be taken' while using them.

They have increasingly replaced plastic straws after BBC's Blue Planet drew attention to ocean pollution, with the UK alone throwing away 8.5 billion every year.In a statement read by the coroner, her wife Mandy told of the moment she found her partner, also known as Lena, with a straw sticking through her eye.

She said: 'I went to the kitchen door and could see Lena lying on her front at the doorway between the den (a room where she watched TV) and the kitchen.

'She was making unusual gurgling sounds. Her glass cup was lying on the floor still intact and the straw was still in the jar.

'I noticed the straw was sticking into her head. I called 999 and requested an ambulance.

'While I was on the phone, Lena appeared to have stopped breathing. The lady on the phone asked me to turn her over.

'I slid the glass off the straw and turned her over. I could see the straw had gone through her left eye.'

A mother whose two children were found hanged in the basement of their home has been charged with their murder, police said.

Lisa Rachelle Snyder, 36, was was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree murder, third-degree murder, endangering the welfare of children and sexual intercourse with a dog in Berks County, Pennsylvania.

Snyder’s children, eight-year-old Conner and four-year-old Brinley, were found hanged and unresponsive in the basement of their home on September 23.

The children were revived by paramedics as they were rushed to the hospital. They were placed on life support, but died three days later.Police took several things from the home after the children’s deaths, including cellphones, computers, and Conner’s X-box gaming system – and said they were looking for a dog that had reportedly been given away before the incident.

Investigators said Snyder told them she owned the dog, which was a black pit bull mixed dog weighing 50 pounds, but she said she had given the dog away. The dog’s weight and its wire leash were of specific interest to authorities as they investigated the hanging, Pennlive reported.

In a 911 call after allegedly finding the children, Snyder told a dispatcher that Conner was bullied and ‘made threats of doing this, but didn’t want to go alone,’ according to a recording of the call.

Snyder later created a private Facebook Page called ‘Remembering Conner & Brinley’ where she reportedly wrote: ‘Everyday it gets harder. I miss you both so much. I just wanna hold you n kiss you. All I do is cry. I love you both with all my heart. I just want you back.’

A law graduate has undergone gastric sleeve surgery in a bid to lose weight after claiming her contraceptive injection caused to balloon to 280lbs (20 stone).

Brittany Nicholson, 25, from Indiana - who suffers from polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) - decided to start having a contraceptive injection every three months, because it was proven to help stop her painful periods and ovarian cysts.

Brittany, who weighed 154lbs (11 stone) at the age of 16, began to gain weight soon after starting the injections, despite dieting and frequently visiting the gym - and by the age of 23, she had put on a total of 126lbs (11 stone).As a last resort, Brittany, opted to have a gastric sleeve - where part of the stomach is removed - in September 2018, and has since lost 100lbs (seven stone) and feels happier than ever with her 182lb (13 stone) frame.

Brittany, who is now working as a law intern, said: 'At the age of 16 I had started to experience symptoms of polycystic ovaries.

'I went to the doctors due to the stomach pain and an ultrasound found cysts on my ovaries and from there I was diagnosed.

'The cysts had taken over and I was put on birth control to stop the cysts growing any further.

'But the weight piled on, I was 154lbs (11 stone) when I was 16 and then 280lbs (20 stone) by the time I was 23.

An 'evil' mother-of-one who viciously battered another woman at a New Year party then sent a bragging text to a friend has been jailed for a year.

Gillian Walsh, 41, launched the assault on Julie Hampson after travelling ten miles to a flat in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, to see in 2019.

Miss Hampson - who lives in a women's shelter- was punched to the ground by Walsh and party host Molly Apsley and beaten in the bathroom.

Walsh then sent a text to Apsley, saying: 'Was you proud of me coming all that way to batter that bird?'

Miss Hampson was left with bruising to her head, face and body plus scratched eyeballs, a cut lip and swelling to her face and a suspected fractured ribThe distraught victim claims she took an overdose of painkillers following the attack.

In a statement, Miss Hampson accused the two women of having a 'capacity for evil' and said: 'I have suffered from anxiety for four years and this incident had left my anxiety much worse and I have had to have my medication increased.

'Physically, I have a lump on my ribs following the assault. I am still in pain and taking painkillers.

Two years ago, Jillian Hanson, then a 25-year-old from New Jersey, was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer.

Her thoughts quickly shifted to her boyfriend, Max Allegretti. Knowing how rough the road ahead would be, Hanson offered Allegretti, whom she had started dating in college three years prior, an “out” before things got too intense.

Allegretti wasn’t much interested in that.

“Jillian told me that it was going to be hard and that she did not know what to expect with everything and if I couldn’t handle it, she wanted to know now,” he told HuffPost. “I completely disregarded everything she said.”

Mum-of-four Laura Stubbs is known to friends and family as 'Superwoman' after battling back against the odds.

Laura, who spent most of her 20s in and out of a wheelchair and had to learn to walk again because of a neurological disorder, was devastated to be told she may never have children after trying for a family for five years with her husband Rob.

But this summer they welcomed their fourth child, a son Hartley who was born seven weeks premature following fears that she and the baby wouldn't survive.

The PR director from Swinton is now looking forward to Christmas with the four children they had always longed for - Cole, seven, Lyla-Rose, six, Archer aged 17 months and Hartley who was born in August.

"I feel completely blessed," she told us."We always wanted four or five children and we're really looking forward to a great family Christmas where our family is complete.

"It wouldn't be the same if little Hartley wasn't here."

All four children were conceived naturally. Laura and Rob were a month away from starting IVF treatment when she fell pregnant with their first child Cole.

Laura, 37, had her first three children by cesarean because she had Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD), which occurs during pregnancy causing the pelvic joints to become stiff.

A father accused of murdering three children, including his own baby daughter, stabbed them with a screwdriver and left blood spattered all over their apartment, according to new court documents.

Junaid Hashim Mehmood, 27, stabbed his six-week-old daughter Ashanti and her half-siblings, two-year-old Prince Larry Brown and five-year-old Angela Pilot at their home in Texas City on January 3.

Mehmood then attacked the children's mother, 24-year-old Kimaria Nelson, by shooting her in the head with a pellet gun.

She is still in the hospital clinging to life. Police arrested Mehmood after being called to the apartment by his brother who had stopped by to check on him after he wrote a cryptic Facebook status within minutes of carrying out the killings in which he apologized to his family.

The 27-year-old was furious about having been fired from his job at a Good Will Store when he committed the attack.

He confessed to police once in custody and is now being held in county jail on three capital murder charges.

He first attacked Angela, he said, by beating her on the head with a hammer before stabbing her with the screwdriver.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by DailyMail.com, the five-year-old's skull had been fractured multiple times and her elbow was also broken.

Prince, two, had been stabbed repeatedly in the chest. His heart and lungs were punctured and he also had cuts on his head.

No information is given about Ashanti's injuries or where she was found in the apartment.

Mehmood told police he could not remember how he killed her.

When police arrived, they followed the trail of blood to the bathroom. The door was locked but once they forced their way in, they found the children's mother lying on the floor, 'covered in blood'.

She was 'grunting and moaning' and had several small pellets embedded in her face.

Mehmood fled the building after the attack and called police from a different location saying he knew they were looking for him.

Paulo Pereira Cristovao, a long-time critic of Maddie's parents who angered them with a controversial book about the mystery disappearance, was convicted of participating in the planning of two violent break-ins at properties in Lisbon and the nearby resort of Cascais.

State prosecutors had accused him of being a key player in an organised gang by giving accomplices information about victims and the target homes.The ex-cop, who left the Policia Judiciaria after a torture trial former Madeleine McCann chief investigator Goncalo Amaral was also implicated in, will remain a free man pending an appeal.

It emerged Pereira Cristovao was facing trial in March when he played a prominent role in Netflix documentary The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

He admitted involvement before the trial at a court in Cascais which ended last month with judges retiring to consider their verdicts.

But he denied prosecution claims he was a gang ringleader and insisted after the guilty verdict yesterday he had been convicted of crimes including kidnapping which he had not committed.

His defence lawyer told the hearing he had returned £8,500 commission he had received for one of the raids, to a victim.

All but one of the 17 defendants were convicted over the 2014 raids, led by police officers with false search warrants who used the illegal operations to steal cash and other valuables.

Two police officers, both sacked before trial, were jailed for 17 and 16 years each.

The alleged leader of a hooligan group nicknamed Mustafa, already behind bars and awaiting trial over a violent attack on Sporting Lisbon players during training, received a six year, four-month prison sentence.

A young woman who chose to postpone cancer treatment to give her unborn son a fighting chance has died.

Brianna Rawlings died on December 29 last year after losing her battle with NK cell leukaemia – a rare and aggressive form of blood disease.

The teenager, from Colyton in western Sydney, died just days after her 19th birthday.

The young woman was just 17 weeks pregnant when she was diagnosed with the disease.She was faced with the decision to either terminate the pregnancy, which would increase her own chances of survival, or carry the baby to term.

The brave young woman made the selfless choice to put her baby's life ahead of her own by delaying treatment – effectively halving her own chances of survival.

She suffered through excruciating body aches and fevers to hold her baby in her arms.

Sadly, Ms Rawlings contracted an infection that had the potential to be passed on to the baby, forcing an emergency caesarean three months early.

Baby Kayden managed to cling to life for 12 days before he died.

The young mother was devastated but kept fighting.

'It's been very hard, long, exhausting and painful. Even though Kyden is no longer with us he gave me the strength to go on and beat this,' she previously told FEMAIL.

'I was very happy and excited to be a mother - all I've ever wanted to have is a family. I was also scared of what the world had in stall for me.'

Despite the emergency caesarean due to a blood infection, Ms Rawlings said her son came out breathing on his own and was even crying.

Mother-of-two Ana Roman, 30, was diagnosed with cancer in November 2017 after she collapsed and medics found a mass in the base of her skull.

The cancer weakened her immune system and she then developed microscopic polyangiitis, a rare condition which causes blood vessel inflammation and left her nose sunken.The car auction manager underwent a complex six-hour operation to remove the back and lower parts of her skull, leaving her with no palate and causing her nose to become deformed, receding into her face.

A mother whose four-year-old was denied funding by the NHS to help him battle a rare stomach disorder has been forced to turn to expensive private treatment to save her son's life.

Patrick Askham, from Leeds, was born prematurely with Gastroschisis, which means that part of his intestine was outside of his body.

The complications from the disorder mean that the youngster has been in and out of hospital since the day he was born and is fed through a tube. He now needs a bowel, liver and possibly a stomach transplant too.

His mother Michelle Askham, 33, has opened up to FEMAIL about the struggles the family has faced.

'Knowing one day you will bury your child before you is every single parent's worst nightmare. For us we live this reality,' she said.

A couple who sold everything to live on a converted school bus before narrowly escaping bankruptcy say they would rather die than go back to their old lives.

Tawny McVay, 34, and her husband Michael, 31, from Billings, Montana, previously had a family gym business, a three-story house and a nice car - but they weren't happy.

After watching a bus life renovation video in spring 2018, they started to research homes on wheels. Just two months later they put their home on the market and sold almost everything they owned including their family business.They found buyers for their business and home but both fell through after they'd bought their bus.

Struggling to make ends meet, they had to live with family for six months and Tawny and Michael came within a week of bankruptcy.

But finally their house and business sold and they could look forward to living life on the road.

They call their bus Oliver - a 2004 RE International school bus that cost £3,900 ($5,000). Renovations set them back £11,700 ($15,000).

This is the chilling moment a sixth form pupil caught a bus to go and stab his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend Ellie Gould to death - as he was today locked up for life for her murder.

Thomas Griffiths, now 18, left the knife in Ellie's hand to make it look like she had killed herself, and then abandoned her in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor while he went back to school.

Griffiths stood in front of a court packed with Ellie's family and friends as he was told to serve a minimum term of 12 years and six months.

Ellie and Griffiths, who swam at county and international level, had been in a relationship since January 2019.

In a message to friends at 6pm on May 2, Ellie announced that she had ended the relationship and he had not taken it well.

On the morning of May 3, Griffiths was driven to school by his mother Rachel Griffiths but he returned home by bus a short time later.

The stockbroker, ex-boyfriend of a New Jersey woman who disappeared three weeks ago has been found dead in his home, authorities say.

The body of John Ozbilgen, 29, was found at his home in Freehold Township on Friday, said the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. Officials called Ozbilgen a 'person of interest' in his former girlfriend's disappearance.

His attorney, Robert Honecker, confirmed that his client died by suicide.

The prosecutor notes in a statement shared with the Asbury Park Press that the investigation into the disappearance of Stephanie Parze, 25, 'remains active', and that more is to follow.Investigators are said to have found at least nine images of children as young as three being sexually abused during a search of his home in connection with Parze's disappearance on October 30, NJ.com reports.

The pornography charge was unrelated to the disappearance of Parze, who received several angry, profanity-laden text messages from Ozbilgen the night before she vanished, authorities said.

Ozbilgen sent at least 10 texts and Facebook messages to Parze, prosecutors told the Asbury Park Press.

He told her that 'she always has to make their relationship suck' and called her a 'f***ing c***,' Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Caitlin Sidley said.

Things had become so bad between the pair that Parze, 25, had filed a simple assault domestic violence complaint against Ozbilgen in September, the Asbury Park Press reports.

While investigating Parze's disappearance, detectives noticed marks around Ozbilgen's neck, and he was named a 'person of interest' in the woman's disappearance.

A mother-of-two has received death threats and been accused of abusing her children after choosing to breastfeed her daughters on demand for five years.

Lactation consultant, Melissa Ostroth, 34, from Toledo, Ohio, always knew she would practice natural-term breastfeeding with her children after watching her own mother breastfeed her brothers when she was a child.

However after receiving abuse from online trolls, Melissa, who has been practicing natural-term weaning - which allows her children decide when they wish to stop breastfeeding - has said no mother feel ashamed of the act.

Melissa, who shares daughters, Emilia, four, and Wrenly, two, with her husband Steve, 34, has been breastfeeding for five years with just a three-month break between her two daughters.Her eldest self-weaned when Melissa was 20-weeks pregnant with Wrenly because she did not like the taste of colostrum.
