NOC has nothing to do with points. Except you're planning to reduce the number of years you worked.

teesquad007:
Hello, please I want to ask a question. Please can I edit Noc code and job title in my express entry profile so as to create room for province nomination. Will my point be recalculated and how many days as am counting on Alberta nomination. Thanks

Welcome to thread.. where dreams come true.
For IELTS you need 8777 (LRWS) to stand a much better chance.
How old are you? You age might be impacting your score.
You have a masters degree so that is a bonus for you. I’m guessing the major thing affecting your score is your age. Please verify this so people on here could give you a more detailed response.

lexyj123:

i can see guys here just completing NYSC (only Bsc) without siblings in canada having about 460 plus CRS how come? even with maximum score in IELTS it should not be possible ordinarily.

i did my self assessment with Msc, and 10 years work experience plus assumed conservative average band of 7.5 in IELTS and got a CRS of 431.

maybe they evaluate Bsc and SSCE to get maximum points, is this the secrete? please somebody should mentor me here. kindly signify here so i can contact you i dont just want to release phone contacts here.
kindly help me.

Sigh.. I wish Justwise could delete this so people don’t make the wrong decision.
This journey is/was tough for so many people and this thing you wrote could just leave people who take your “advice” lingering in the pool and praying for a way out when it’s already handed to them.

The advice we gave him was Fact based, IRCC verified and PPR certified.

Your advice is opinion based and not factual.

phemmy26:

This is my advice.

Thank you for responding, this is very encouraging. Those looking for a second degree (two or more degrees) please take note.
Find the CIMA thread here.

Utoechi:
I don't have any background in accounting but it took a lot of back to back studying. It took me 2 months. CIMA is not so bad if you're determined. Materials for study are available in the CIMA thread.

Congratulations! Time to dive into the pool. I wish you a smooth journey from here on out!

Few questions about CIMA if you don’t mind. This would help others make an informed decision

How did you find CIMA in general?
Do you have a background in accounting?
What was your prep like?
How long did you study?
Any tips/tricks?

Thanks!

Utoechi:
Just to encourage someone here. I finished writing my CIMA exams in December and started evaluating immediately. My WES report just came out today and it's the equivalent of 1 year college degree.

I started typing this exact response and just deleted it. It is tiring and annoying to see the extent people would go just to get some change. SMH
One city on the list has a quota of 20 people, others require job offers. And dude claims it is easy.

ednut1:
stop deceiving people. It is not easy to get a job offer in the communities and quota is very small to benefit many people.

Congratulations to all ITA Clinchers! and PPR recipients!

PS: Please guys, before advising others, let us make sure we know for a fact what we are talking about. To many people, this journey means the world to them and dishing out wrong advice could have a detrimental effect on their application.

@Uchboggy Please DO NOT decline your ITA. Add your wife and your scores would be recalculated. Since your first score meets the cutoff, you should be fine.
Read more here

Please take some time to type your questions on google, there is so much information out there.

Good luck with everything!

Uchboggy:
ITA at last but with a mixed feeling for me and my wife.
Our profile as a couple was 468 since October last year so she wrote ielts last month and added 2 points to the score making it 470. My profile was expiring on the 21st of this month so this was the last draw before expiration.
Initially we had agreed to see what this score was then if it didn’t get to 470 today then I will go alone unaccompanied(crs of 475). But because of the anxiety and tension and uncertainties we had to change our mind yesterday and agreed that I go unaccompanied. Now draw comes out and it’s 470.

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Stencil: 7:48am On Feb 18, 2020
No two applications are the same. Some could get ADRs and not others. You never know what to expect so you could be proactive prepare for it just in case.
Goodluck with everything.

amoskitto:
Hello all
After almost 6 months post AOR, I just got to find out my visa office is AVO (Accra). The thing is, I haven't gotten any ADR since. So my question is does AVO sometimes issue PPRs without the 'famous five ADR'? Or should I still expect the usual request? Again my AOR date is 31 August 2019, and that's now nearly 6 months.
Thanks

Ask questions about? (please clarify)
You go about this the same way you go about a regular work reference letter. Show your employer the work experience letter requirement, located here and let them do the needful.

You don't have to mention school and all that, they can see it in your timeline. It is not out of the ordinary to go to school and work. It is very common in the western world.
winner01:
But they'll ask questions right?
