Hehe... It depends. On a scale of 1 to 10, how superstitious are you? If between 5 and 7, na the Messenger of the Gods you allow boys carry commot so o. You wey the gods dey protect since you were born, them send messenger to come deliver good news, you nor fit guide. If above 8, you supposed dey kabash "die by fire" right now. Na arrow from fada abi moda side naim day break meet so. Be like village people nor dey change to bat again, na tortoise now. And mehn your spiritual life must be very low o, for them to send tortoise to you - dem reason am say, spiritually, you nor fit even outrun a tortoise. But, if you nor believe in iberiberism. Na just ordinary tortoise wey miss road. |
By now the guy go don humble 🤣🤣 Him go don talk Sir Sir reach 4 billion times by now. We all think rorbish, but not all of us are stew peeid enough to carry camera, record our thoughts out loud, find where network dey, and put it on social media. If he's this stew peid, then good riddance to menta---lly un sta ble werhey in uniform. |
None of them. Na by force to be unfortunate? Both of them have poor judgement about women, and they learned the hard way. |
CodeTemplar:Haba... shey you dey whine me ni 😅 |
Some advise I'll give men today who have children.... and which I'll put in place when my kids start coming too. 1. You see that public father christmas that you're doing, that you'll leave your wife and children at home, but would be spending your money to make friends, colleague, extended family happy, while your kids struggle? ALL OF THEM WILL ABANDON YOUR KIDS if anything happens to you tomorrow. It's okay to be generous, BUT MAKE SURE YOUR WIFE AND CHILDREN enjoy the best of life and you secure their future before you start investing in getting accolades outside. At your funeral, many of them will promise heaven and earth, but 4 months after... all of them go vanish. 2. Set up a Trust for your kids - I don't know if there's anything like a Trust in Nigeria sha, but open a fixed deposit account for all your kids, and occasionally put money there when you have spare change. Over time it will compound, and they can access it after they are 18 years (on certain conditions sha, you don't want your kids to be wayward just because money dey they can fall back to). 3. When they say marry better woman, y'all will think wife is for paparrazi. Hehe... Pray you live long sha o. If you marry a woman who doesn't know how to work, no skills, no sense of survival, your kids will bear the brunt of it (God bless my mother sha, na woman she be!) - some of them will likely be sent out to live as servants where they'll likely be maltreated. 4. Take care of yourself! Take care of yourself! Go for check up... stay healthy, stay strong and stay alive for your family. |
First of all, a moment of silence, in honour of our heroes, who had to go be with our Ancestors, so that they may watch over us from the heavens. Sometimes, I just think back, and I smile. You know, when you look back at the odds you beat to become the man you are today, without any support, you'll just hit your chest and say... "Na man I be!" Hehe. There are many people today who are struggling, because maybe for one reason or the other, they lost their father, and it may seem as though the future is without hope, especially when there is no wealth or inheritance to fall back on; but understand this, you're not alone. There are many people who have gone through life, literally from burnt grass to grace. But it was not easy, but they turned out fine. So you'll be fine. You just have to be a man, take the loss without breaking down, and look forward to the future. So men in the house.... How did you live through life without family wealth, without the presence of a father to teach you the things only a man can teach his son and turn OUT JUST FINE AS A RESPONSIBLE ADULT making your impact in the world. You just might inspire someone to keep building and pushing. And what advise will you give to fathers today, that you wish your father put in place? |
Anishinaabe:Mehn 🤣 John Wick nor even do reach this one Sir |
Osariemen12:🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 And maybe those eyebrows were your magical power like Samson for Bible. |
meobizy:Nah... being sheltered doesn't stop a curios teenager even indoors. Your moniker shows (m - male); you didn't tinker with electronics? Try to connect speakers, work with motoroller - a mechanism that was gotten from cassette radios that year? I once attempted to plug "motoroller" directly inside wall socket - curious to see how fast it will be, so I can invent fan in our sitting room - sha NOR TRY AM EVER is all i can say 😅🤣. |
SirWhiteFish:Some people have zero credit score in their own circle, that even their mother will not loan them money. Not justifying the exorbitant interest though, but Nigerians are high risk. |
According to him, the increased interest shows the APC’s broad penetration and acceptance within Nigerian communities.🤣🤣 Na lie. The increased interest are from people who were hoodwinked into decamping from the party that brought them to power, thinking they can ride on the presidency for their personal ambitions. I'm non-partisan, but I'm in love with the heartbreak that those decampees who dumped their benefactor party have gotten so far. But watch out, hell hath no fury like a heartbroken politician who has tasted power and it's dragged away from him/her. |
Yes. And it should be heavily subsidized. I once saw a statement that said "the only person who's sure about the parenthood of the child, is the mother" The people (mostly women) who fight against DNA testing are the exact people WHO shouldn't be trusted in the first place. Anytime you see people throw tantrums when it comes to accountability on their part, then just know that what they're fighting about is "choice and consequence". I can do the mystery about not knowing which gender my child is until after birth. But I can't gamble with whether or not I'm the father of a child until you decide to confess, or a medical emergency says I'm not compatible cos the child ain't mine. There have also been "claims" of some quack hospitals swapping kids for gender, if those claims are true, shebi DNA test will not also greatly reduce such monstrosity? |
Trust, once lost can NEVER BE gotten back. What you get after breaking a person's trust in your fidelity and faithfulness, is TOLERANCE. NOT TRUST, NOT LOVE. |
teepain:Wow.... 2002. Respect Sir. Thanks for your good wishes. |
Good character or not, God does not give anybody a partner. He that FINDS a wife, FINDS a good thing and OBTAINS FAVOUR from God. God will give you favour to have the things it takes to have a good marriage z but you will find the spouse by yourself. If you remove the God factor, then your point is spot on. |
Of course, because if we belittle the name of what they truly are, then you guys will feel less incompetent about your inability to clear them out. People are threatening & destroying the life and properties of the citizens that the government is sworn to protect and is the sole function of GOVERNMENT, and you say let's be talking about semantics. Okay sir, ride on. |
goshee:I usually shy away from giving EXACT skills that a person should learn when it comes to tech... Not because it's hard, but because I might be biased towards recommending what I am passionate about (yes, passion is actually important, because you have to actually want to learn the skill and find it interesting enough to keep going) - instead I'll give some recommendations and you do the research and pursue one. There are many roles in tech, which you can either break into, or use domain knowledge to decide (e.g someone who has had experience as a Personal Assistant or Secretary may find it easier to go for Virtual Assistant training). 1. If you've been into marketing/sales, you can actually learn about digital marketing, wirh focus on lead generation, paid ads and influencer marketing. 2. If you've been into finance or accounting, then you can learn things like Data Analytics or Data Science. You get the idea. Now about where to learn: It's still up to you - the only time I went to an actual school to learn any of my current skills, was in 2010 when I went to computer school to learn basic computer application - since then, all my learning have been YOUTUBE, UDEMY or free online bootcamp (ALX when it was free). But if you have the money and time for a physical location, just find around your location. |
teepain:Thank you Chief. Your last paragraph actually just validated the stance I've always taken. I'm more of a builder guy than dependence on corporate jobs with the skills, I've just not had the discipline, i think, to complete any of my attempts at a startup (SaaS). You're right about AI being a blessing too, but not so much for entry level guys as their own "tasks" are now being automated out and companies are not very keen of training new hires either. |
AlbertNewton:Thankfully, it resolved naturally... I can't say exactly, but probably by the next day, because I don't remember experiencing the same thing after that first night. |
VHILL:k. |
ToyeBanji:True Chief. Business orientation will be gotten during the learning - picking an industry - niching down too early can sometimes be a shot in one's leg. I'd say make researh about two or three, test the waters, see the one with better/more fishes, then niche. |
teepain:Thank you my good Sir, that would be greatly appreciated. I think, evidenced by the current shake up in the TECH industry - layoffs and stuff, with some new startups that would often spring up to absorb skilled developers backpedalling due to the uncertainty about AI's disruption - the demand has dropped big time, and the competition is even worse than it has ever been. Not to even talk about the phantom jobs, 7 rounds of interviews that ends with automated rejection mails. |
1Alex:Hehe... you are right. He has a beast of a laptop! |
Mcslize:Hehe... I found mine on one social media platform that has gone extinct now. We were friends for a while before Cupid nack me better arrow for my heart. But that was before social media went to the dogs sha. About where to meet people, think conferences, non-owambe events where people actually come to learn or pay to attend such places. And generally, be a good person - good attract good. |
Man... You have a beast of a laptop. Now when it comes to skills, there are three types of people. 1. The creative 2. The analytical 3. The Seller If you are on the creative spectrum, I'll recommend you go for motion graphics and a pinch of 3d - specifically for building product demos using After Effects and maybe Cinema4D. If you're more on the analytical and number crunching side... I'm probably going to err on the side of caution and suggest Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning or start from Data Analysis for Financial/Business Analytics. If you're the seller personality, I'd suggest you master how to use and help people manage CRM Software - Case in point GoHighLevel - you can actually charge people good money in dollars to help them set up their CRM, Automation Workflow, Funnels and Landing page, there's a ton of them - especially now that everybody is a founder or coach selling one thing or the other. Personally, when I took this kind of decision about 4 years ago, I went into Programming (Became a MERN Developer); but the programming world is very volatile now and not very promising, especially for entry level. Wishing you the best.... And while you're flexible in how long you want to spend in learning and waiting till it pays, it helps to tie the goal to a timeline too. |
Mcslize:Understood Sir. But to each one his own . I'm everything I listed there, and I also happen to have a girlfriend who's everything I listed. Them hard to find, just that most people dey find them in the wrong places or wrong body. |
Heffalump:On your last paragraph, isn't that what the landlord has done? He's asked him to leave - that's what quit notice means - of course he'll refund the outstanding rent if said tenant has before quiting. About legal legal legal.... This is a civil matter, common sense demands that OP explore dialogue or get an intermediary before spending money that can be used for personal matters to pay lawyers, after which the court either enforces the quit notice amd have the landlord refund outstanding rent, or ask the landlord to fix the light. But if the court forces his hands, guess who will still be sent away from the house after his rent expired? The Legal-battle-loving tenant. |
geoworldedu:A court case is an aggressive move oga. My submission was on his next steps... Are you suggesting he should go an arrest the Landlord? Mind you, OP may have signed a tenancy agreement that gives the Landlord the liberty to give him a notice on his own accord provided a 30 day notice is given. |
geoworldedu:No Sir, cowardice is choosing aggression, when dialogue is an option. |
Mathewrichard99: toffyz: koladata: Kalulu44: Chai all these my Ogas want make my shoulder con dey raise this morning o. LolThanks for your kind words Bosses. Ya'll have a great day |
