Do you know how long it takes the CBN to do it's review before approval?

The UBA and Access you gave as examples, do you know how long it takes for them to gather the items needed for the YE results together?

YE results of MFBs sef no be moi moi mich less the big banks Oga. Take that for free. And you are not talking to a novice by the way.

The companies release quarterly financial statements which is standard practice so it is not that difficult to collate full year end result by year end.

Note some of the companies are under the supervision of regulatory bodies who granted and gave them licence to operate

For example the commercial banks given licence by CBN and insurance companies by the insurance regularly body so they don't just release any how result that affect investors (both local and foreign) confidence.

It's not the CBN that releases the results. It is the banks that releases them ONLY after approval by the CBN.

The results are due already as they are close to the mandatory 90 days permissible after the YE.

We are almost in the middle of march and this is when the FUGAZ normally release their own.

CBN is just re-emphasizing.
The banks sit on the financial year end result and forward to CBN for scrutiny before It is being released.Let me give a live example right now UBA has sat on their results and forwarded it to CBN since last month so also ACCESS and others.

Your humble opinion is succinct and professional.

Well said.

I think people are not aware that CBN has said this earlier on. They are just re-emphasizing now that the YE results are being awaited.
I am suspecting that CBN is about to release the submitted Audited Financial Statements 2023 results for all the bank and so they are re-emphasizing it.

NASCON.
Which N1 dividend again. Abi was there another board meeting?
The corporate action says dividend of N1 already paid in November and there is no final dividend. Where is this N1 as being reported here coming from?
I saw it too and just wondered what kind of business news reporting is this. The N1 dividend is the interim dividend that NASCON paid last year. This was how the EPS of 518 was reported on nairametrics as dividend of N5.18
