Business › Re: N50 Stamp Duty Imposed On Bank Customers By FG by Stevosty: 11:59am On Feb 03, 2016 |
In order to avoid any further confusion, here is what you need to know about the CBN’s N50 stamp duty:1.This announcement affects only current account holders and not savings account holders.2.It does not affect salary accounts or student savings accounts.3.The new policy includes all receipts by a bank or financial institution in acknowledgement of services rendered, in respect of teller deposits and electronic transfers for the value of N1000 and above.4.The policy complies with the provisions of the Stamp Duty Act2004 and the Federal Government of Nigeria’s (FGN) Financial Regulation of 2009.5.The N50 stamp duty will be charged per transaction and not per volume that is from N1,000 and above.6.Under the schedule to the StampDuty Act 2004, some exemptionsspecified includes payments of salaries and wages, payments, deposits, or self-to-self transactions, whether inter or intra bank. |

simplemach: Before now, they did not want to make the declaration public, just so that adjustments like this can be made. Earlier also we were told he has about a hundred cattle, now it has risen to 270. Two houses were reported befor now, the one in kaduna and the one in Daura which he borrowed money to build now they are four house. And the biggest of the scam is; they said farm, without telling us what the farm looks like. I bet u, by the time he is out of office, that same farm u heard will be competing with Otta farm and then they will say he mentioned 'FARM' What a SCAM! the paper is dated sept 3, 2015, go check the op link again. |

First born is like an experiment child, they face the trial and errors of life, if successful, siblings tend to be successful or more successful because they learn from his or her success and ignore the failures, but failure first born are on their own because sibling will only see the failure and dodge it. |

governoragweven: NDDC Benin office is as at today, 5th July as at 11am was under lock and key. i went there today to submit mine but could not see any staff to attend to us. the office was closed down by court order as regards to unpaid sum of 97 million naira, yes! 97m being payment for tax according to the document pasted at the entrance. applicants were all stranded today at the state office. Even those who hav submitted earlier may have their application stocked up in the office even upon deadline. No one has the idea of when it will be opened. THIS IS SERIOUS why now? Good one, pls keep us posted, somebody has to contact the hq if we are to redirect our letters. |

samokoduwa: I don't work for nipost, but an address is needed due to the volume of applications coming it better you use register mail so gate man nor go form oga at top say nothing like that. Normal mail would be giving to any staff but does not have to sign, but register have to be sign for, so it wld be sent to the right channel so it can be sent in. Government Administrative process, bro. Choice is urs, since you have all nddc office pick close to your state, all would be sent to abuja, where the sorting would be made.
More so don't sent to a mail box which staff dey get time go mail box. Look at the nddc office with only address n sent, u pay 430 then u still based on one chance, nipost do their own what if the staff on charge refuse to go mail box. Use nddc office without mail box, ur choice or walk down to any nddc office ask of director office n submit in person. make sense. |

samokoduwa: It effective, with register mail it would cost you 430.00 while normal post is 100.00 it takes three working days. Registered is better for it would be delivered to the commission office directly. I appreciate, thanks. |

Funny Nigerians, what should a president be afraid of? An illegal pirate radio that was jammed but went for another frequency? or because he decided to deny the falsehood that was also denied by their source bbc? some Nigerians need to start using their senses. |
