Yes because certificates are not classified illegal exhibits unless if they are fake.

Second, on a tourist visa, she has the human rights to sight-see and go to a school, get admission with her credentials and return home to apply for an F1 visa.

Aside what Bigfrancis said, let me tell you the honest truth, she may not get a non-immigrant visa anymore due to this record and it really sucks.

No VO would be at ease to approve her non-immigrant visa probably out of "crowded intent". Believe me because her intent to return home after an intended trip has been jeopardized.
I kinda agree with you.
Is it illegal to carry credentials on a tourist visa/Visit?

Abi her case is just one big bad luck (that's me thinking like a Nigerian) because really, what are the odds?

I don't see any reason why I can't fly any airline. People still get scared when they actually have all they could to get into the Usa. Some end up becoming victim of half baked agents. A friend that never step USA said I should not fly with qatar, they bounce this and that.

I flew Qatar exactly a year ago today. I didn't have any issue at their POe because my stop over was just 1hr 45mjn .I paid just $625 for that flight, who no like cheap thing.

I got brawl with Cbp at Barcelona. See me see trouble. They were asking for schengen visa, Wetin concern Agbero with overload. I met load of student that have missed flight and never said a word. The Cbp told me to sit down that I was going back home. Na so I start my para. I told them (Spain) should never have allowed Qatar to have a stopover if they know it's a requirement to have a schengen visa. My connecting flight to JfK was in 1hr30min. The other dulling student and some other folks just gathered around me and watch my mouth as I was talking. I told them to attach a officer to each of us to follow us to our departure.

How on earth will I be going to USA and I will elope to Barcelona? Na so their oya sef con reason am and she set everyone free. Am sure they will probably have revised their senseless rule.

This story is to show that anywhere you go, stand out, show credibility, be real, go with the right document. Don't panic.

As long as you got your case right, no one will ever stop you.

Be it etihad, untied, KLM or worefa. If you do meme, Cbp will bounce you
Good one Zee!
Travelers (especially first timers) get unnecessarily nervous at airports and with customs. Insofar as you've not done anything wrong, why would you be worried? I flew Qatar too but didn't go through Barcelona because of the language barrier. I opted for London and my luck even shine the customs guys allowed me enter for 24hrs when I didn't even have a shengen visa.
It boils down to the way you comport yourself. You know we Nigerians can be very defensive especially when we face a law enforcement officer but it's not a good practice abroad. The border control man at London heathrow asked me what I'll be doing for my long layover and I explained how I tried to get a visa so I can visit family and friends but I couldn't complete the process. He then asked me if I would like to still enter and visit them and I couldn't even hide my excitement, he stamped my passport and told me not to be late for my connecting flight. Funny thing is, after I was stamped and I let the counter, I still went to ask a law enforcement officer if the stamp really meant I could enter into the city and he said "if you're standing where you are now you're out already" grin

My point is, do not be nervous when you know you haven't done anything wrong. Explain yourself calmly and politely.

Sup bro. Coming in through Miami POE. How's the POE??

Besides,
How did you cope with the 9 hour layover in Doha.
I'm anticipating an agonizing wait. undecided
Good stuff bruh!
Miami POE was very easy for me... Maybe because I lost the luggage that had all my foodstuff. I was out in about 40mins. The tatted CBP lady said she hasn't seen an M1 visa before, I took my time and explained what it was and she asked to see my I-20. So don't worry you won't have any issue. If you're bringing food stuff expect to spend a lil more time.

My layover at Doha was much longer than that. The airport seems quite big and you'll do plenty sightseeing. That have free internet that you have reconnect every hour so at least you won't be too bored.
Don't leave your luggage and wander off... Dress comfortably and lightly but keep a jacket close.
Miami weather is blazing hot right now.

When you arriving?

I know u are in Fl dats y I asked u lol. My skl is also in Fl. Fort Lauderdale. Its generally very expensive there for accommodation. I saw studios fully furnished n utilities inclusive for 800 whc was almost same for shared 2bd/2ba apartments fully furnished and utilities. Other cheaper apartments of about 650 were either not furnished or utilities would still b paid. As for wat me tick, besides wen I have to read for 12hrs daily for 3months before an exam, u cant find me home.
Nice!
Fort Laud is a lil cheaper than miami...
Don't worry very soon you'll discover how staying at home and saving money can be so much fun! grin
Don't go wasting your money sipping mojito's at the beach when a bottle of gatorade can give you the same fun.

Thanks man; I'll tidy all that up. Just that someone told me to be short with my answers, that if they need more info they will ask, because they cut you in with another question when your answers are getting too long...

Anyways, I'll develope a more explanatory and specific answer with stats. Thanks a lot; I appreciate. And yes the prayer's been on, and yeah, psm 40 is my word, and I'm warring with Is 50:4 & 7, and Is 54...I'll share my beautiful story come monday by God's grace.

Thanks plenty!
My dear brother, we all have our own experiences... one of the reasons I was denied the first time was because my answer where short and didn't explain anything. Keep talking(and making sense) till you're asked to stop.

It's gonna be 1 year I got my visa on the 7th of this month and it was on a monday...So I was exactly in your shoes one year ago...The same God that made mine possible will do yours as well and make your joy complete!!!

Hello house, good job you guys are doing. I'm going to "take my visa from the vo" on monday, 6th july by God's grace. I want you guys to critiq this rehearsal answers I plan to give when asked the regular questions by the vo...what do you guys think? Any corrections, any ammendments, any subtractions? Thanks.

Me: good morning, and how are you today (with a smile)
Vo: good morning, and fine thank you.
Vo: may I have your documents?
Me: sure, here
Vo: so why are you going to the us?
Me:I'm going to the us to do my masters in business administration and management at university of bridgeport, connecticut
Vo: how many schools did you apply to?
Me: 3 schools; university of bridgeport, alabama a and m university, and florida international university
Vo: so why did you choose university of bridgeport?
Me: I chose university of bridgeport because it gives me exactly what I need. First the course content is tailored to my specific need, 2ndly the quality of the professors and the faculty as a whole, and 3rdly the network opportunity with other business professionals

Vo: what will the degree do for you?
Me: the degree will equip me with what I need to take my business to the next level.

Vo: Who will be sponsoring you?
Me: I will be sponsoring my self; and my company has offered to support me financially if needed, but I'll be sponsoring my self basically
Vo: what do you do?
Me: I am a business man; I have a company, and I work for my company as the ceo, and we have a board of directors that oversee the different sections of the business.
Vo: what's the nature of your business?
Me: my business has 3 main sections for now; 1 is the ..., 2 is the ...and 3 is the ...
Vo: what's your monthly salary?
Me: I draw a salary of ...from the company monthly

(At this point I expect the vo to say: I will approve your visa...)

Vo: can I see you bank statement?
Me: (hands him/her my bank statement) here's my bank statement (9M); and this is for my company (21M) (attached to the company bnk statement is a letter of introduction from my company secretary introducing me to the consular as ceo of xyz company, and stating willingness to support me financialy in my pursuit as it'd be in the company's interest)

Vo: I will approve your visa...
Me: thank you, have a nice day
Vo: thank you, and you too

This is what I expect on monday morning in Jesus' name, amen!

So guys, please critiq this and lemme know what corrections I need to make.

Thanks guys
grin
A walk in the park!
Please explain in details why you chose this school. Tell them exactly what it will do for you, give them statistics and use professional terms...relate it all to your business. Don't just be scratching the surface with your answers...ENGAGE them.

By now I'm sure your fasting and prayers has started! Psalm 40 helped me alot!

Pls guys, wats ur take on shared 2bd/2ba apartment vs a studio* apartment. I know they are about same cost sha. I really like my privacy, coming back home without rules etc but also like making friends and outs too. Do u think it wud be boring staying alone if I also want to explore my area?? Pls slimmy, stewee, zee, others with experience help.. Thnx
Hi There!
It generally depends on your state... A studio apartment gives you more privacy than a shared apartment. A shared apartment helps you share costs. Like they say in Nig, "Soup wey sweet,na money kill am".

About being bored, we really don't know what makes you tick... You having a room mate doesn't automatically count as fun though it has it good sides... Generally, it depends on who you find as room mate.

My question goes to those who have been there:

Anything wrong with gesticulation while one responds to questions from the VO?

I've really been thinking. For me, it tends to be an involuntary action (Sure I'm not the only one with that problem).

Cc: Imperriox, Bigfrancis, Zeezahbee, Msnas, Slimmy, Innovativeme, Stewee.
I did that during my interview... I didn't even look at the VO except when he asked me questions...Looking at VO can be intimidating, not looking at him when I answered the questions helped me articulate my response... I was also leaning on the counter(that took pressure off of my shaking legs) LOL

...can i schedule a date without paying for sevis and pay it later...? also what wud i need to take to gtbank to pay d visa fee

thankss
Well 2 Kaplan students had their visas approved the day I had my interview but the VO couldn't issue their visa, he gave them a letter to come back and drop their passports off when they musta paid it and it has reflected. I think the VO said it's against the law of the U.S. To issue visas without paying for SEVIS.

Nice. My school is in miami too. which one is advisable and cheaper? on-campus or off-campus accommodation.
I know!
Off campus us cheaper but it might not be close to school so you have to deal with transportation. And you need a place to stay while you find one(plus a roommate too).

My school is 'non-residential' so I've never really stayed 'on-campus".

Lately it won't work if I swipe or insert the card...

Anyone with similar issues? I've called them that I know their number offhand.
