linaluv: @ stewee and ferdimako thanks for the reply, his real age will be 29 this year october but the passport says 26 , what if he nenews his passport or re write his o levels, such as GCE so as to to get all dates on document sync with whats on the passport.?
is age 30years a red flag to the vo for undergraduate studies? Here are some of the solutions I can profer... Instead of rewriting O' levels again he could go to WAYEK(in Patience Jonathan voice )and try to correct the DOB. Remember he also needs a birth certificate or a sworn declaration of age. If he wants too he could write WAEC again.... Whatever he decides to do, it has to be uniform and genuine. About the embassy... To the best of my knowledge it's not a red flag. The VO will definitely wana know why he is just going to college for an undergraduate programme. He needs to provide a good reason what he's been doing all these time. He definitely needs to write standardised exams too and have good scores. He has to appear at that embassy looking sharp and promising. Not an impossible task but definitely a demanding one! #Bless |

linaluv: hey guys i really like what u guys are doing here, please continue the good work. this is one outstanding thread i have found so far on this forum with a quality set people.
Please tell me how to go about Undergraduate studies there, my brother has a female contact there in MARYLAND USA and shes advising that he studies there in Howard university in washington or university of maryland The age on his intl.passport says 26 years but his waec result says another age different from the one on his passport.
my question is this, will the US Embassy here in Nigeria grant him visa, is there an age limit for those apply for undergraduate program.
waiting for your replies Small small things that come and haunt people in the future. I don't advise he goes to that embassy with that kind of issue, it raises a red flag. Your date of birth should synch with all your documents... You'll have to fix it one way or the other before you begin to deal with oyibo ppl. It usually haunts! |

anfanio: You must stay or better still attend classes for the first semester before transfer to another college. Can you clarify what you mean here? --"but hope if i stay for a semester i wont pay for the tuition cos the tuition is too much eh" Are you suggesting just being around without attending school? I think what he means is.. He prolly has to stay for one semester but he doesn't wana pay for it. I'm not sure if that's possible. They might not allow you transfer iff you don't settle all outstanding bills. |

Walspring: I cant really say because we were together on Monday 11th May (night) till Tuesday 12th May (10am in the morning), On May 15th i called him and he told me he is weak and we will see on Saturday 16th May, then i said to him just go and relax and take care of yourself, On Saturday i called him he didn't pick but he sent me a text exactly 9.56pm I STILL DEY HOUSE, I NO GET STRENGTH TO WALK. THANKS.
On Monday 18th May, as at 10pm i called him back but he didn't pick so i thought maybe he is sleeping. On Saturday 23rd i thought of him and immediately after church service on Sunday 24th i thought of him again then i called his number and it was switched off. I called a friend in the same location with me and the guy told me that when i come on Monday 25th May he will explain to me. Well i never thought of anything serious not until Tuesday 26th May as at 8pm something stuck my heart that why should Abbey utter that word to me that when i come on Monday, Then i called the guy back and he said same thing, I told him to tell me what is wrong and he said to be over the phone that Ope aka Gr8ever is dead, he died last week and i asked him how come, he said ope was sick and they took him to the hospital and he was transferred to Luth, he eventually died in Luth.
RIP Gr8ever... Damn!!! Didn't know him so well... May God rest his soul. Another brother in the struggle gone. This life tho. Rest In Peace @Gr8ever |

amanze15: Funny interview today even though I was denied for the second time.....it goes thus?! At abuja!!!
VO: hey good morning Me: good morning Vo: documents pls VO: sorry your fingerprints hasn't reflected. Pls lets have it again, Me: okay *four fingers left four finger right two thumbs* VO: so why are going to the US ME: for my master degree in geological and geophysical engineering at MST VO: so how did u get to know about the school ME: I catalogued using princeton review, usnews e.t.c I got a good review from a professor in my undergraduate school and my brother in law who is an alumni VO: are u married? *With a smile* ME: NO* with a smile too* VO: what would this degree do for U?! ME: it would come a long way in developing me and setting me up in Nigeria since a lot of expertise and experience and called for in my field, coming home starting up a firm or going back to school as a lecturer VO: so what have u been doing since secondary oh am sorry since ur university?! ME: I did the compulsory service which I finished in 22 october 2014 since then I worked as an hydrogeologist trainee at a state firm saddled with the duties of providing water for the rural populace in kogi state VO: whose sponsoring U?! Me : my cousin my parents would have loved to sponsored me buh he took it as a sign of gratitude to my parents *she was nt listening* VO:sorry who do u say was sponsoring u?! ME: my cousin.............. then she spotted a letterheaded paper from my dad I submitted as a document earlier oh, VO: he's a successful businessman, he sells localand international manufactured cosmetics and he also into real estate and oil and gas VO: why would keep such money for u to study abroad?! ME: *pity and sad face* he's was very supportive of my aspirations to go further my studies in the states after I told him of my plans VO: how does he makes such profits?! * now I knew she was playing with my head ME: I explained profiteering 101 to her as a igbo boi wey I be VO: any bank statement?! ME: yes passes it VO* she looks at the current exchange pasted by her side, she zoomed off for like 5 minutes ME* said hail mary and prayed it clicked VO : oh am sorry ur visa cant be approved now I wish ur the best of luck in ur future endeavours am sorry Me: thank u,....
Guess its the sponsor ish, I didn't apply early so I didn't qualify for scholarship, my dad is paying for my trip but he doesn't have cash flow right now, he's cash is in some estate investments and he's at a traditional ruler at my hometown my cousin is the only one with such cash in flow in his accounts......pls house help me on what to do, am keen on furthering my studies I don't have any motives I need your help and advise Sorry about your denial! At this point you've apparently been making the same mistake. First you have to take a break from the embassy. Then you need to review everything from the top. You already look desperate to them at the embassy even though you may not necessarily be. From your transcript, you trailed off at some point... By that I mean, you started to bore him/her. Even you confessed it. Nothing is wrong with your cousin sponsoring you, the thing is whatever reason you gotta give, let it make sense/meaning to even an slowpoke. There's a lot of things you can do from now to your next application. Avail yourself to these changes, you wana go there again looking fresh, vibrant and purposeful. That you course, did you say you wana come back and build borehole in your village? LMFAO . Dude yo! Stop it!!! A lot of ppl here are skilled to help you. Get all the help you can get. Don't relent!!! All the best brah! #Bless |
