Thank you Yes, you can try assessing your skills with TRA. Time is not so much on your side so you need to start the process now. With your current age band, (33-39) you already have 25 points but when you clock 40, you will have 15 points. |

I would advise you go ahead with social works as it is currently on Tasmania skill list. VickayThrills: Thank you Sir...
I got two offers from UTAS... I first applied for Social Work which is what I really want but they gave me an offer with a bridging course to do before the Masters.
I applied again for something close to my Bachelors degree and got the Masters which I want to accept and go with.
However, I plan to switch to the Social Work once I get there because I don't want to apply for my visa with the offer that came with a bridging course. I just don't want to risk my chances by any means.
Hope I'm not mistaking with the risk of applying for visa with a bridging offer? Is my move/plan in order? |

Where did you get your information from? Naijabad: As you aspire to study in UTAS, note that the region has no jobs. It is the least developed compared to other cities in Aussie. |

Confirm the genuineness of the visa on VEVO. If indeed he has gotten a job on a ship, then he should be fine. He/she MUST arrive Australia by ship. With this visa, you can... arrive and depart Australia by sea as a crew member of a non-military ship stay in Australia for as long as you are signed on as a crew member of a non-military ship only perform work in Australia as a crew member that meets the normal operational requirements of your ship amanze54: Yeah I know, but the agent secured a crew work along the process. Though what baffled me is the authenticity of all the documents as we verified the visa. But at the Port of entry I want to evaluate the unforseen challenge that will arise with immigration given the nationality of the Visa holder |

Dont waste your money on it, its for maritime crew members. You must: be outside Australia when you apply be a crew member or have a current offer to be a crew member on a non-military ship that is taking an international voyage to Australia not be the holder of a permanent Australian visa https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/maritime-crew-988amanze54: Please does anyone has first-hand experience of Maritime Crew Visa, this Visa was secured for my colleague along a visiting Visa by an agent to allow him enter Australia by flight given the Crew Visa can not enter by air. I am tempted to take up this option but I want to hear anyone who has experienced this Visa option and the outcome on getting to Australia. |

ejikemichael: Good evening everyone. Please i have a question. I got in contact with one agent and he said he can get me a job in Australia. He said: The company will send an email or a fax to our contact over there saying they need workers with so and so skill and qualifications and requirements, our contact will relay the information to us,we look for interested applicants with good cv, character and good medicals, then apply for them on the limited slots or numbers of applicants the company requires for simple. Please those who have experience help me clear this. Ask that agent for the visa class even though this looks more like a scam. |

Please relax, you need to read the first page of this thread to understand some basics. For the point calculator, use this https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/tools/points-calculatorFor 189, you can work and live anywhere in Australia while for 190, you are expected to live and work in the sponsoring state for your first 2 years before you can relocate to another state. State your point breakdown so it would be easy for people to advice you. Wesrene: [Pls which state is good to apply to for EOI that is for cvil enginer is it good for southern Australia or Tasmania...pls reply me o help a sister..quote author=ENGRAGHA2 post=76214963]Please I am trying to use the points calculator. First and foremost, you need to read up the page 1 of the previous thread to better understand the whole process. Find out the occupation from https://www.anzscosearch.com/mltssl/ which best descries and corresponds with what you do. For the 190 visa, you can apply to multiple states as long as they are sponsoring it moneybag4411: Good morning house. Please help a brother out. No response on the above. |

whodeyhere: To my EA fam, please how long does it take my applicationn to be claimed by an assessor, it's been more than a week now and the status is still queued for assessment. I appreciate your response. You can check EA Website, i extracted this from there. Why use Fast Track? Migration Skills Assessment (MSA) applications can take a long time to process. However, you can fast track your application and have it assigned to an assessor for processing within 20 working days. How do I fast track my MSA application? Simply select 'Fast Track' when completing your application online. Already have an existing MSA application that you want to fast track? Use our online form * Check the Assessment fees page for up-to-date pricing information. Current turnaround time for standard MSA applications Non-accredited qualifications: 9 weeks before the application is assigned to a case officer. Accredited Australian and Accord qualifications: 7 weeks before application is assigned to a case officer. Remember, you can reduce this turnaround time and have your application assigned to a case officer in 20 working days with the fast track service. Please be aware of the following: Exact waiting times can vary depending on the number of incoming applications. Waiting times are based on the date of receipt of all required information. Please do not contact Engineers Australia within the time frames listed above, as this will only delay processing times for all applications. Regularly updated advice on the dates of applications currently being processed can be sought by sending us a blank status email request. You will receive an automatic response. |

You would need a transit visa. Infact, no airline would agree to pick you from Lagos if you don't have visa to Singapore/China as the case may be as far as you are on self transfer. The airlines obligation is to get you to Singapore as that is your final destination to them. This means that the airlines do not have an obligation to honor your onward ticket if the first flight is delayed and you miss your connection. However, in the case of Self-transfer flights, your reservation is made via a travel agent who does offer some form of guarantee over any cancellations or missed connections. jayooh: Good day all, please has anyone travelled down to Australia with different flight tickets and/or airline operators that connect in either China or Singapore? Please what was your stop over experience like? Any hassles from immigration, especially when you have to do a self transfer of checked baggage to the connecting flight.
I understand you don't need a visa if you're not leaving the airport, but what of when you need to pick up your checked in luggage from the flight that got you down there from naija and then check it in to the next or last leg of your flights?
Some tickets actually are indicating self-transfer, any better idea of what is meant by these online booking agents?
Thanks all |
