Thank you for your explanation. But I have a question.
If God does change his plan like you said, he created one man and one woman, and through that man and woman, they multiplied by given birth. It also means their children got married or sleep with each other to multiply and we have the world population. If siblings marry or sleeps with each other, that is incest and is that not a sin? Does God approves such sin?
Leviticus 18 answers you that if it was not clear whether it is a sin or not before, God has now changed it and made it a sin very clearly.

Did the bible bringdown a holy people?

Is it not that God took a sinfilled and sinloving and polygamous people from among the sin loving and sin filled peoples of the world and tried to clean them up and work with them, hence the bibles ordinances?

Joseph was about 90 years when he married the mother of your god when she was just 9-12?,
In fact, mary was not his first wife, but oloriburuku like you will reject this historical fact because you don't want Joseph to be labeled as a pedo, but the good thing is that you can't bury history, so shame on you.
Almost all the prophets in your bible committed one "EVIL OR ATROCITIES" or more.
Even if it true that Mohamed married someone at age 4, is he not better than the Isaac in your bible that married Deborah at age 3?

Westerhoffe:
All unrighteousness I know what it means and says; but where is polygamy included in the unrighteousness?

This is what I am asking you.

Where did the Bible call polygamy a sin of adultery or unrighteousness?

You just keep avoiding this and jumping left and right.
If you truly knew what all unrighteosness is and you saw the list of thngs described as unrighteousnesses, then you would have seen that a person must do those things listed as unrighteosnesses on his way to commit the sin of bigamy aka polygamy.

And i even took out the liberty of spelling them out, which you saw and dodged.

So, you are the one dodging and pretending as if you did not see the lists of sins a person must commit before he commits the sin of bigamy called polygamy.

[sub][/sub]I decided to ignore you because you are highly illogical in the discussion. But let me try one more time to point out and address your fallacies on polygamy
See now, you are Lying!

Does this thread not show that our discussion had travelled down to this point where i asked you "How about this other leg of the polygamy issue where you are trying to say that if the married man does not have sex with the second wonan, but goes straight to marry her, is it adultery?
You do remember that the bible Said "adultery even takes place without having sex", so explain, how can a married man have a second wife where he has already committed adultery by just looking at her?"

So, why are you now lying?, yet you say you are a christian.

immortalcrown:
As adultery can be implied by an unfulfilled lustful desire (without a sexual intercourse), fornication can also be implied with an unfulfilled lustful desire. So, why are you selective in your judgement?

If you condemn polygamy because of an unfulfilled lustful desire, you should also condemn marriage because many or all the men and the women in monogamous marriages must have had unfulfilled lustful desires.

It is hypocritical to use unfulfilled lustful desires to condemn only polygamous marriages when the same unfulfilled lustful desires affect monogamous marriages.

If you want to factually and logically discuss polygamy, do not base the discussion on unfulfilled lustful desires. If you want to discuss unfulfilled lustful desires, do not base the discussion on polygamy. Even many or all celibates are guilty of unfulfilled lustful desires. So, why do you treat unfulfilled lustful desires as something that cannot occur without polygamy? In other words, why do you insinuate that polygamy is the only thing that can cause unfulfilled lustful desires?

Polygamy is not good. But adultery is not what makes polygamy bad. Either you are still a child and your age affects your reasoning or you are a misguided adult. No adult with a sound mind will be fallacious like you on this issue.
All these are off points and you know it and have still not directly answered the question.where our discussion landed for you unequivocally resolved the first leg our discussion saying clearly

"A married man that has sex with another woman before making the woman his second wife commited adultery with the second wife."

So, now i ask you resolve the other leg of the equation

"where you are trying to say that if the married man does not have sex with the second wonan, but goes straight to marry her, is it adultery?
You do remember that the bible Said "adultery even takes place without having sex", so explain, how can a married man have a second wife where he has already committed adultery by just looking at her?"

and come to.a definite judgment like the first leg, now you are dragging your feet and talking off point and even lying against me all because you find answering the question uncomfortable for you already know that all you wish to say would be lies.

For you already know that if a married man lusts after a woman he is already guilty of adultery not talk of him going above and beyond the stage of lust to go and marry the person he lusted for that made him guilty of adultery.

And now he adds the offence and guilt of bigamy to his adultery.

bigamy. noun. big·a·my ˈbi-gə-mē : the crime of marrying someone while already married to someone else.

So you already knew.and saw that it is impossible for any person to marry more than one person without being guilty of adultery and other sins. Which is why you refuse to answer the question.

Even you are in shame, being guillty of your polygamy and secret sins and that is why you cannot boldly and openly condemn it, for ye condemn yourself also!

And that is why you are not a christian for a christian can ascend into the hill of the LORD amd stand in his holy place because he hath clean hands, and a pure heart and hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully
Christianity Etc › Re: Another Proof Of Eve's Adultery Is Men's Affinity For Polygamy/cheating by StillDtruth(op): 7:20am On Apr 28, 2024
See it! See how adulterous men think it is their right to cheat and commit adultery and see what a supposed christian said

gohf:
you keep quoting me so let me answer for the sake of others.

The husband marries the wife, pays the bride price is referred to as lord and his wife, children and home are his. Now he can commit himself and all he has to God and becomes God's property. This is basic understanding

I don't know who you were having a conversation with that told you women are the only ones affected by adultery but try and read my own post and response on the subject.

For the sake of others I will repeat it, adultery is between a married woman and a man who isn't her husband, both of them have commited adultery.

I never and will not discuss bigamy. Why, because I am not interested 🥺 and you can keep mentioning it. Someone will probably answer you....
Clearly, you condemn the.woman, what of a married man and a woman who is not his wife, is t not adultery also?

I don't know why I'm being tagged here or my brother Maxindhouse especially by the same person that has always attacked us

God's standard of marriage is
1 man and 1 woman= 1 flesh
Later, Jesus reinstates that standard when he said a man must stick to his wife (singular )

Choosing to acknowledge polygamy just because Jesus did not say you should not practice polygamy equally means someone can say he wants to do every other thing that is morally questionable as long as Jesus himself did not say so. Jesus simply said a man should stick to his wife...

Why not even go and carry concubines and slaves na since all the people you mentioned were polygamous equally had this.

A true Christian and worshipper of God will obey God and Christians stick to one wife... Anything more than that is greed and does not have God's approval

Happy weekend 😁
Come to look at it, in the only case where we have glimpse of God's judgment on polygamy, when Christ peripherally judged the woman at the well, do we not all see that even though she had 7 husbands, let me say 6, even she knew that none were her husband even though she might have married them?

And Christ was impressed by her acknowledgment of Truth?

Lol...you are funny....so what Adam did cannot be described as bad....you are therefore arguing that sin is neither good nor bad.
Is that correct?
Please now, let it enter your solid head and
heart of stone and stop all these endless repetitions.

I have said maybe up.to 8 times that good and bad did not exist at that time and God did not punish them based on good and bad as His Judgment shows., so you dont have any valid thing to say but turn around and around yourself looking for what is not missing.

Michael547:
Lol....SIN did not exist either....neither did God punish Adam for committing a SIN.....so why do you agree that Adam committed a SIN?
Ehen. New topic. Old one don end finally grin

Ah, You don dey find the existence of good and bad since now you don see am say e start only after them on sin,

So the correct question na, "When did sin Start?" grin
