Groups in Ogun West Senatorial Disctrict under the aegis of Yewa Connecting minds (YCM), an umbrella body that comprises youths and elders, have raise alarm over “invasion” of the state by killer herdsmen. A statement issued on Friday by Coordinator of the group, Prince Ekunola Gbenga, after the YCM emergency meeting in Ayetoro Yewa North Local Government, stated that the presence of herdsmen in the community had heightened tension. “Just last week, on Yewa aoil, a farmer was killed and another one was also killed in Imeko Afon while protecting their farms. The herdsmen later his farmland on fire”, it said. “The inhumane and barbaric activities of the herdsmen in Yewaland is becoming alarming and the Federal and state governments have showing lackadaisical attitude towards it. “These herdsmen should steer clear of Yewaland if their mission is to come and kill innocent citizens. Their deeds are unbecoming and we will engage in self-defence if those at the helm of powers refuse to swing into action. “Farming is our people’s mainstay. The Hausas/Fulani people rearing cattle here have created too many problems, including killings. They also defile our women and destroy their crops while grazing. They must leave if they cannot live here peacefully or face the wrath we will unleash on them,” they threatened. http://dailypost.ng/2018/01/26/herdsmen-killing-farmers-raping-women-ogun-coalition-threatens-retaliation/ |

The struggle for the restructuring of the country will take a new dimension come March 24, as the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) is embarking on a mega rally in its renewed struggle to liberate the Niger Delta from exploitation, oppression and neglect. This was made known in a communique signed by leaders of the forum drawn from all the South-South states of the region and made available to journalists late Wednesday. The first-ever SOUTH-SOUTH MEGA RALLY ON RESTRUCTURING to be led by elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark, will hold at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State as agreed by monarchs, past and present political office holders, community leaders, academics, opinion molders, leaders of thought, women and youth groups in the region. According to the release, the key essence of the Mega Rally is to “mobilize and raise the consciousness of the people of the South-South region and to, articulate a common, unified agenda on the subject matter of restructuring.” Delegation expected from the South West, the release stated, would be led by Afenifere chieftains, Chief Ayo Adebanjo and Chief Olu Falae and a delegation from the South East to be led by the President-General of Ohanaeze, Chief Nnia Nwodo and His Excellency Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife. Other expected delegations including statesmen from the Middle Belt led by the President of Middle Belt Forum (MBF), Dr Bala Takaya and Jonah Jang, former Governor of Plateau State. Speakers and participants, the release added, shall be drawn from across political, economic and social spectra; government and non-governmental organizations from the whole country. The release reiterated that there was the need to “re-emphasize and redefine the essence and significance of the PANDEF’s 16-point demands to serve as the basis of constructive engagement with the Federal Government and other geopolitical zones in the United Federal Republic of Nigeria, on the platform of equity, fairness and justice.” PANDEF averred that restructuring the country has become germane in a situation where resources taken from the Niger Delta region are controlled, managed and retained by “others who contribute nothing in return to the development of our region.” “Arising from series of strategic meetings of Southern Nigerian Leaders with PANDEF, the Afenifere, Ohaneze Ndigbo, the Middle Belt Forum, and other stakeholders, in Lagos and Abuja, and in each region. it was resolved that the campaign for RESTRUCTURING should be extended to more grassroots levels. “To this end, the South-West region held her own Summit/Rally on Restructuring at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, Oyo State on Thursday, September 7, 2017, where our own Chief A.K Horsfall led the South-South Delegation to that Rally, while the South East Delegation was led by Chief Nnia Nwodo, President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo. “This event which was widely publicized attracted far-reaching commendations. “It is important to note that this all-important South-South Mega Rally on Restructuring which is being put together under the guidance and leadership of Chief Edwin Kiagbodo, Clark OFR, CON, National leader, PANDEF; Convener, South-South Peoples Assembly, and co-Convener, Southern Nigeria Leaders, also enjoys the active inputs and participation of eminent personalities and stakeholders of the South-South region,” the group noted. http://www.tribuneonlineng.com/pandef-plans-mega-rally-structuring-march/

“Those hungry and insatiable APC yes men that visited Aso Rock to endorse Buhari for 2019 under the banner of Igbo leaders should all cover their collective faces in shame. They have brought shame and dishonor to Igboland by openly embracing a mass murderer and genocidist. Are these the guys being referred? ![]()

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Wednesday reacted to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s statement berating those who endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term. IPOB said the statement by Obasanjo was “timely,” adding that it has been vindicated. Recall that Obasanjo had described as “insensitivity and callousness” the decision of those endorsing Buhari when Fulani herdsmen are busy killing Nigerians. Reacting to the statement, the pro-Biafra group any one discussing partisan politics under an “atmosphere of mass misery is not fit to be regarded as a human being talk less a leader.” IPOB made the remark in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful and sent to DAILY POST. The statement titled, “Obasanjo’s statement timely, we’re vindicated,” reads, “The statement credited to the former president of Nigeria Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was carefully timed to deliver a devastating blow to the scavenging class of political prostitutes in Igboland that shamelessly went to hawk their wares in Abuja a few days ago. “The shameless endorsement of Buhari for 2019 by these bunch of undignified individuals under the banner Igbo leaders have showcased to the world what a bunch of delinquent inconsequential vain glorious misery merchants they are. “We support Obasanjo for his timely intervention because at a time of national crisis and with people losing their lives all across the Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria, anybody discussing partisan politics under such an atmosphere of mass misery is not fit to be regarded as a human being talk less a leader. “What Obasanjo said is the clearest endorsement of the philosophy of our leader and prophet of our time Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, that the only way to reign in a dictatorship is by confronting it head on with the truth. Obasanjo have spoken the truth and should be applauded for it. “Those hungry and insatiable APC yes men that visited Aso Rock to endorse Buhari for 2019 under the banner of Igbo leaders should all cover their collective faces in shame. They have brought shame and dishonor to Igboland by openly embracing a mass murderer and genocidist. “Buhari has nothing to offer apart from misery and premature death. Those who out of ignorance opposed the ideology of freedom as espoused by IPOB can now see that we are visionaries who should be praised not labeled terrorists. “Chief Olusegun Obasanjo have now seen the inherent danger of the cluelessness and visionless leadership of the Buhari administration. We also commend Chief Ben Nwabueze and Chief Mbazuluike Amaechi who have been speaking in this direction without fear or favour for some time now. They are the real Igbo leaders the world should look up to, not the collection of failures, charlatans, pimps and political harlots that went to endorse Buhari in Abuja a few days ago. “Obasanjo’s statement is a slap on the faces of these criminals parading themselves as Igbo leaders. The timing couldn’t have been more apt. “It is crystal clear from analysis of Obasanjo’s statement that the new coalition he is calling for is something similar to what IPOB is doing, but on broader all encompassing scale that will include all ethnicities in Nigeria rather than one restricted to Biafra alone.”

Any party who professes to restructure will win the SE, SW SS, and middle belt regions. The country should develop as per regions. Can you image what will happen to 2nd Niger bridge if the SE region is given 1$ billion to develop the infrastructure dear to them? Every region will choose what they need to develop. Unlike now that the FG chooses what and where to develop...which points to the north and SW...ignoring SS and parts of SS. Every part of the country should feel the effect of governance. |
bishopkay:That will take about 100 years. Nigeria is still delicate and diverse. For peace to reign until Nigeria matures politically, power should be shared among the Six zones for now. With that, there will be peace and people will have a sense of belonging to their country. Detribalized Nigeria can be found in every region. I use Enugu state as an example. Power revolves around the three senatorial zone. This is why Enugu is one of the best states with peace in Nigeria. |

overnors, lawmakers and political leaders from both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), met on Tuesday to continue discussions on the formation of a new political party. ThisDay reports that the move to form another major party was in a bid to wrestle power from the APC in 2019. The meeting on Tuesday night was a follow up to previous meetings held by the group in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and London. A source explained the two objectives of the new political force. “One is the Nigeria Intervention Movement (NIM) that is not a political party but is trying to galvanise professionals, civil society groups and activists to support credible candidates in different parties. “The second is an amorphous group of political leaders, serving and former governors and National Assembly members of both parties, as well as retired military leaders who have been meeting in places like Dubai, Saudi Arabia and London to fashion out a modus vivendi for the new party that will challenge both the APC and PDP,” he said. He also admitted that the new party faces a race against time to be registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the elections. “Since time is of the essence and most of the politicians who want to dump the APC and PDP for this new party know that there might not be enough time to get it registered, they are also on the hunt for one of the already registered political parties that they can use as a platform to actualise their goals,” he added. http://dailypost.ng/2018/01/24/2019-governors-lawmakers-meet-form-new-party/ |
NgeneUkwenu:But you Lauretta wants the corrupt Buhari to continue. See>>>> “And some would say President Muhammadu Buhari @MBuhari is not corrupt. “Corruption is appointing NIA DG, a man who failed promotion exam twice to be in a committee to review it’s operation “Corruption is lack of transparency in how a company fined a huge fine gets a massive reduction *Nepotic hiring, appointment and award of contracts * Aiding and abetting those accused of corruption * Dining with people facing corruption charges at PRIVATE dinner “Corruption is taking a share from those who stole, refusing to prosecute one found stealing & having him around * Appointing one who failed promotion exam to head the agency, Hire illegally through the backdoor. “Corruption is also Trucks of food to IDPs stolen and nothing done about it * Finding over $40m in an apartment belonging to head of an agency and that head secured by security agencies * Finding huge sum of money at an airport and nothing heard further. * Not knowing how much has been recovered by whom and from whom. Reconsider your harsh stance against Buhari, Presidency tells Naabba The Presidency has appealed to the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Ghali Na’Abba to take a second look at Muhammadu Buhari administration’s achievements in three years, in order for him to change his negative opinions as published in the press. Mohammed told the Sun that the tragedy of the president’s second term bid was that “there is no politician of consequence from the either the North or South-West who is around him and who could reach out on his own to the leaders in the South-West and even in the North to canvass for support.” Raed more: http://dailypost.ng/2018/01/23/2019-northern-southern-political-heavyweights-abandoned-buhari-junaid-mohammed/ |

It is already known worldwide...that Nigeria ranked 14th world’s worst country for Christians. North Korea clinched the top spot, with Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan, Pakistan, Eritrea, Libya, Iraq, Yemen, and Iran, in the top 10. Nigeria came 14th in the ranks as a result of what the organisation described as “ethnic cleansing based on religious affiliation,” which was said to be “becoming nearly common for Christians in a number of sub-Saharan African countries.” http://www.tribuneonlineng.com/nigeria-ranked-14th-worlds-worst-country-christians/ Christians should wake up |

Which kind wahala be this...? Hope these people no wan use style to shift focus from the killer herdsmen sponsored by the elites to ISWA...? |
Security service organizations including the Department of State Service (DSS) have identified an Islamic State in West Africa (ISWA) network operating within some North Central and South-South sections of the country. Garba Shehu Newsmen report that this information is contained in a security report submitted to President Muhammadu Buhari recently by the affected security service outfits. The report indicated that ISWA network was using foreign terrorists and recruiting young men to fight and kill innocent persons ostensibly to exacerbate tensions along the county’s ethnic, religious and regional fault lines. According to a Presidency source, this discovery was made following the arrest of several suspected attackers made up Fulani herdsmen, government-sponsored militias, militants and other miscreants in Benue Sate. The source revealed that among those in custody were many who spoke none of the languages native to Nigeria but the French language. “”This is the first time that security officials have confirmed that the Islamic State in West Africa members are operating as a unit in Nigeria and the level of their penetration of the country,’’ the source added. The source further revealed that a “good number”of the Islamic State terrorists had been arrested not only in the Benue valley but significantly in several towns in Edo, specifically in Akoko-Edo, Okpella and Benin as well as in Okene, in Kogi. “”It is understood that the cell, which has members in different parts of the country concentrates on recruiting young men to fight for the Islamic State in West Africa by unleashing the cold-blooded murder of innocent citizens. “”There was intelligence that they had planned several attacks here, before and during Christmas and the New Year. Their bombing targets included fuel depots, foreign missions and police and military establishments. “”Their network is very wide. But so much was achieved by the DSS which had made a significant number of arrests in the last two months that helped to preempt those attacks. “”This helped to save Nigeria from the spate of major terrorist attacks witnessed elsewhere that were syndicated by ISIS worldwide,’’ the source maintained. Newsmen gathered that the reports submitted to the presidency had also revealed that security officials now fear an influx of other ISIS members into many parts of the country. “We are learning more and more about this complex and sophisticated network. “”This is the main reason why the secret service is not parading those suspects so far arrested. It has become clear to us by now, that the challenge facing this country is a serious one.” When contacted, Presidency Spokesman, Garba Shehu confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari had been receiving what he described as “report upon report on the situation in Benue and other states”. According to him, the DSS has recorded a lot of success lately but said he had not been briefed on any of those reports.
