@azpunpin, I really can't say why your package is being held up, as I also sunmitted on the 10th and mine was ready since 24th, but u knw up till now I have not gotten any text from VFS office or the UPS guyz, just saw one funny msg on my status abt my processd visa delivered and I just went straignt to UPS office.and got it myself. My guess is maybe they are making some enquiries on ur docs, or there myt be a mixup sumwhr, if ur schls start date is close maybe you should send them an email..am sure it will be out soon.

Yeah @cliff I agree totally with you, we shouldn't let this thread fade just cos we have gotten the visaz, there's still so much to share n talk about, esp all the new experiences.

Well I went to the UPS office and can u imagine my package was sitting on top of their table!! No calls or text from VSF office or the courier (UPS). Made a little scene b4 I went my merry way. Economically imo is a dead zone, see them calling adapalm,saing imo produces rice and cocoa, and we still pay high prices for these food items.

Lets leave personal vendettas aside, because everybody knows that no good working governor needs to use media houses to sing his praises, your performance should speak for you. Let me make this comprehensive for his gullible praise singers to understand.

1. Education:
He claimed he would pay primary school children 100naira per day(for God knows what), this turned out to be another of his deceptions, didn't last, or even take off. He also said he would give free education, to every imo citizen, a good plan, if only we had the right factors in place, the university in town, imsu is so dilapidated, no facilities, even the structures are begging for attention, no school hostels, i mean i know those who value education know that you would gain more paying for quality education that churning out graduates that don't even know how to write a simple application letter.

2. Employment;
This is one of the worst hit, while our industrial layout lies out, empty, praying for just a little bit of that his self serving attention. He claims to be an industrialist and cant even attract a simple Indian or Chinese firm into the place. I am sure my friend that traveled to Lagos in HER young shall grow bus didnt even catch a glimpse of the place while she was rushing away, back to lagos, to greener pastures.

3.Infrastructure:
With all our massive oil wealth (17% of oil revenue) about 1.5bn per month, plus our security votes which he has converted, all we could get were collapsed gates, poorly constructed roads without gutters, even the roads behind the govt house wasn't spared. Painting all the fences white and green like he is reenacting a scene from one of his childhood fantasies. by the way he did not even have the decency to use original paint. Then those roundabouts and over head bridges, cant they be constructed by tried and tested companies for crying-out-loud. These hack jobs could only have been done by a con artist.

4.Security;
well let me dare say this situation got handled after a lot of pressure because as you all know, most of those hit hard were the rich and some of those in govt, so when the rich cry, things are done. But let me just add, that while some of you are cruising your cars and typing away on your china phones the age of the Touts have returned to owerri, bank road, okigwe road, tetlow and douglas, they are all there still harassing people, am sure their excuse is that they have a partner in the Government house, their oga @ the top.

5.Morality;
Building hotels and bongo houses, signing into law an abortion bill, well i am sure he is trying to tell us something, and i don't think it is that is he a man of high moral standard, not that this matters much in delivering promises to the people.

6.Miscellaneous;
I really hate long posts but i just could not resist making my point, from 4th Tier govt that doesn't work, to imo water board, to the lack of jobs and conducive environments, those saying we should not wait for the government, how do you expect people to invest without giving them any assurances, the best of which is the government giving them concessions, entering partnerships and reducing taxes, imo needs drastic help, no matter how much u decide to paint him, he has to much controversy trailing him. As for my friend that didn't see any refuse heaps...please visit one of our numerous ophthalmologists on your next visit.

hehehehe reminds me a bit about myself, am guessing your an only child, or many its just you and another sibling. well in my own case it was just my bro and i, always complaining about certain restrictions, like not being allowed to o clubbing from home, getting calls from home once its 6pm, not being free to travel and do other stuff our friends got to do and guess wat, my elder and i as guys, we did bend the rules, break sum even, and trust me, we made plenty mistakes, and lucky me i didnt have to make sum cos i learnt from my brothers...he was not so lucky. at the end of the day, all she does she does in love, you have to understand that shes not perfect and am sure being alone, shez tryna kip u away from making some of the mistakes she made. freedom is gud, but it has its price, my advise, wait it out,if you have older cousins or fwnds that she knows, like her friends kid, bring them over, the girls oo, they can help convince her that your in good company... its a cruel world out there you wont blame a lioness for holding on to her cub just a bit longer..lolz
