If the plot depends on a specific South African setting to work, then fine. However, you don't run out
to a different country to shoot in very basic settings that obtain locally.

With sony vegas .WMV is really your best option for decent quality and size. If you are rendering for use primarily online, i recommend using the .WMV template "4.8mbps HD 720-24p" . Avoid 1080p to be posted online, as it would only amount to a large file with no discernible difference online. If it does not have to be in HD, you can try one of the lower resolution .WMV templates. Sony vegas is a good editing software. I made a few basic editing tutorials on this page.
