If this right here is as good as it sounds, it would be the best thing to happen to Nigerian ecommerce. Adequately insure this system to protect funds, and put in place a "verified merchant" protection policy like paypal and you'll be all set. by the way, your main logo on the site is missing a home page link. A site's navigation feels broken when there isn't one. All the best. Signed, potential customer. |
Honestly, i cant stand it when people hate on others for being successful. FACT: no matter how much philanthropy you engage, there'll still be wide spread poverty. Do the little you can, and enjoy what you have labored for. Someone said he never had a 9-5 and made it coz people paid for shows and albums . . REALLY?? I'm sorry, but that statement right there is either one or both - ignorance or immaturity (Both of which can be overcome with information and or time) Quick question to that person. Have you ever gone over 50 hours without sleep at your 9-5? Have you ever had to be in 4 continents within 48hrs at your 9-5? My point being, the notion that entertainers make "easy money" is flawed. Now, do they get paid a lot more for their efforts? YES. Do they put in less work and effort than you do at your 9-5? HELL NO! If your 9-5 isn't cutting it, consider a change of direction and remember; If you are working for your money, and your money isn't somewhere working for you, you'll forever be a slave. INVEST. |
Answer: Opportunity cost. Never jump at a major decision with your limited resources. Weigh the short and long term benefits of every move and only settle with informed priorities. |

While you never want to give up on your dreams, it is crucial that you take time out every once in a while to re-evaluate this "dream," as yesterday's dreams aren't necessarily today's. some aspirations are inspired by external factors, like family, peers etc. Such "dreams" typically lack passion, and eventually prove counterproductive. In essence, a young individual might think his dream is to be a doctor; but in reality that might just be his parent's dream. Until he truly discovers his passion, his "dreams" might always elude him. |
it is not entirely the reason, but plays a significant role. |

How does the fact that a case has not been formally reported to authorities automatically amount to it being a hoax? At times i wonder what these clowns in Nigerian authority smoke before making public statements. So his point is that a case must be formally reported by the affected in order to launch an investigation. That is like saying; yeah, we heard about 20 dead bodies found somewhere in Abia, but no one has reported their family members slain or any mass murders, so we're just gonna sit here and ignore the tips. RETARDS!! |
This minister must be slow or something. How can you publicly assert that it may be difficult to convict these individuals simply because their faces are not shown in the vid. That is why there is something called investigation you slowpoke. The vid is a solid framework to base a solid investigation on, but then again the Nigerian factor must be fully factored in. The notion that if someone is not caught with their pants down presents an almost impossible case is just plane ignorant. Little wonder people get away with almost anything in Nigeria. |
The plight of the African American as the game said is that we're born in a trap. Guilty until maybe/maybe not proven innocent. |
@OP I think it would be easier for people to give you valid suggestions if you indicate your location. What works in the U.S isn't necessarily going to work in Nigeria or elsewhere. |
If ever having your father's true respect means anything to you, then i would recommend going off and being a man of his own means. "working for daddy" might appear convenient at this time, but trust me, if you go down that road, you'll be "daddy's boy" even at 50, and thats not remotely a compliment. |
@harakiri Word! dude ain't worth half the time. by the way, where is the fella that started this thread. |
sexkillz:Thats exactly what we're all saying. You lack the mental capacity to reason for yourself and make your own arguments, so you resort to copying and pasting. You just googled and copied your above statement and tacked on another typical question of a mindless drone. Not everything is to be taken literally, and if only half the religious people understood that, then maybe they would refrain from trying to see the bible as a literal manual, rather than a philosophical literary best seller meant to guide you to "do good." So in my own words (which you know nothing about doing) i said his "father's zip code happens to be heaven" and your little mind needs to know where it was written. Really?? we're talking about a god and you really want to authenticate a "zip code" reference. To everyone else, i think we have given this child enough undue attention, and i advise to refrain from further responses to his shallow existence until he or someone else has something substantial to say. |
sexkillz:coming to the father through him in this context clearly represents his being the gateway to his father, whom the bible says is God, and as long as you follow his teachings, you would get "through" to his father; whose zip code just happens to be HEAVEN. Again, i have answered your question, so reply with an answer, and not a question. |
@sexkillz john 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (king James version) john 14:6 - Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. (new American standard bible) Now i have shown where that was paraphrased from, can you now kindly answer the question. As someone rightly pointed out, you consistently don't answer a question with an answer, so i'll recommend you answer questions being presented in your direction rather than resorting to your copy and paste questions as responses. |
i have read through the entire thread, and i have to say sexkillz has reduced the IQ level a couple notches since he stepped in. sexkillz:Seriously?? why is he making arguments based on what he doesn't know? That is the last sentence a religious person should make if he is to maintain any kind of credibility in his own arguments. The institution of religion is entirely based and thrives on this illogical "logic" which has been termed "faith." To the other religious ones, i have a lot of questions, but i would not overwhelm you with all at the same time, so kindly answer this for now. 1. In the bible, Christ said no one would make heaven except through him, and the muslims say infidels would not make paradise. Now tell me, do you agree with either of these stands? and since you only inherited (were brainwashed into) whatever religion you practice today, would you have held this same opinion or belief if you happened to have been born on the other side? |

The current number of FP topics is about right, however, as some have pointed out, there has to be some major relevance in what makes it up there. by relevance, it could be any topic with a substantial message, issue or thoroughly entertaining content. To be honest, at times i wonder if the FP topic selection is automated by a bot. especially how most of them are presented. If the topic sentence is a statement, then let it be a statement. If it is a question please present it as a question. YOU CAN NOT HAVE BOTH. e.g He has finalized plans to murder every nairalander ? or see the title of this topic on the FP. Hey, simply coz you add a question mark does not make it a question, and now coz you did, it is no longer a statement. Moral of the story: a websites FP is its first impression, and for Nigeria's and possibly Africa's most active site we cant afford to look silly before the rest of the world with such stupidly presented topic sentences. I did notice an improvement recently, but it should stop TOTALLY. With that said, Nairaland is freakin Awesome! and no matter what complaints we all have, it is still the best thing that has happened to Nigeria's online interaction. Good job guys. |
that is entirely his problem and no one elses. |
Seun:In 2004 i thought it would be cool to create some kind of online platform where Nigerians can convene and just talk about "stuff." In 2005 while researching ways to go about this, i came across a scanty forum named nairaland with a similar objective. As the months passed, i monitored its progress closely n still cooked up my own ideas while observing daily through the window. In the middle of this, i got carried away by "greater" ideas, n some time in 2006 i registered on nairaland as if to say "forget it, i'll just join the movement" The point is this. We both had the same idea, you executed yours n i did not. So, you have nairaland n i don't (only a company with 3 businesses ).No knowledge acquired or information gathered ever goes to waste. Consider all the research you've done as education. Even in unrelated business fields, they will come in handy. However, DO NOT attempt to try out "all" these ideas. Itemize them and it would be at your sole discretion to select what "few" you really want to implement. While you don't want to be a jack of all trade as someone has mentioned, n nairaland must be time intensive to run, you absolutely don't want to put 100% of your resources into it alone. Whenever you find yourself doing that, just think of myspace.com |
@ OP That is a huge lie Nigeria's problem isn't the isolated fact that power and security are lacking, but the "mentality" of the typical Nigerian which brings about everything "failed." . .If only Nigeria was the 8th largest exporter of petroleum in the world, we would have enough resources to overtake the US. . Oh! i forgot. . we are. |
WOW! BIG SURPRISE |
