I thought he wanted to cry a second time. Maybe he now fancies making concession phone calls. |
Before Wadata plaza succeeds in reinventing history. Was this over $300M not part of the funds received by the ONSA to fight boko haram as recent as January 2015? Did it not find it's way into PDP umbrella envelopes and distributed all over the country? $2.1B is the totality of monies embezzled through the office of the ONSA in the initial charge levelled against Dasuki. At no time has the present government claimed it was a single allocation to the ONSA that was embezzled. Now this government has even unravelled more monies outside of the initial charge of $2.1B, and still siphoned to the PDP through the ONSA. In a sane society, indicted PDP members would have been committing suicide already to prevent a justice that must surely come. Or is it the money generated from PDP's fundraising that was given to Okonjo Iweala and later transferred to Dasuki on Jonathan's approval? PDP should kindly shut up and wait for the judgement that is coming in batches already. "The NSA has explained that this is to enable the purchase of ammunitions, security and other intelligence equipment for the security agencies in order to enable them fully confront the ongoing boko haram threat"

Sourceless news. If indeed they were sacked and it be for any criminal activity, then they must be duly prosecuted. Sacking is not a enough where a crime has been committed. Prosecution must follow to totally rid the society of the cancer that is holding it by the jugular. |
Igbo speaking is not a revelation about the communities listed inside the map. |
millionaireman:Of all that was stated, your own concern is who is sitting calmly in the North? Are you that bigoted? What about the likes of Dasuki, and the multitudes of Northerners already mentioned in one corruption case or the other and are also being prosecuted too? Bala Ngilari, Ahmadu Fintiri, Aisha Nenadi Usman, Rickey Tarfa (SAN), Justice Yinusa, etc. Oh! I remember. That's when you pull out the PDP vs APC defence. This defence is the North vs South defence. Soon it will turn to "they are Christian Northerners but the Muslims are not touched". You are really shameless. Stand in the path of the anti corruption fight and watch yourself crushed by the unstoppable train. |
What about the memo from Okonjo Iweala approving the said amount as already discussed with the president, and urging the president to supervise the use of the money for the purpose it was given without appropriation? Or isn't that the proof of the very source of the funds, since we are not even disputing the paper trail that has incriminated a lot of politicians and banks? Wadata plaza should look for another conspiracy to deceive Nigerians with. Useless party that has nothing to show for 16years of government. Akintola actually understood the benefits of being a part of the ruling coalition. But he was an unscrupulous politician and election rigger. The East enjoyed the coalition because they had no competition from the North over positions. They just simply filled themselves into every federal position everywhere be it in the East, North, West or Lagos, and detested the Northern premier who would not allow same happen within the regional government of the North. |
attacker321:I guess the "benefitted" would have been the usual backbone of Jonathan that could not keep him erect alone? The statement made in 2015 is that Yorubas are independent thinkers who would not serve any tribes' greed for that tribe's benefits alone. I reckon you wanted a continuation of the scenario from 2011, when a tribe will claim that some ministries belong to them and Jonathan must not sack or prosecute any erring member of their tribe? What a shame the backbone was accorded strength rating without verification testing done. The backbone failed the body, we only wheeled the paralysed body out of national sight. |
When other Southerners are at the receiving end of the national cake, the South is OK. When Yorubas are present at the sharing they suddenly become the weak link of a Southern unity that never existed. You are talking of the opportunity in 2015, whatever was done with the actualisation that occurred in 2011? Yorubas are only good when they help you to their own detriment or against the national good? Inglorious basterds! |
Bobskylo:You mentioned economic activities in the North that are the rewards of human effort. Why not mention same in the NigerDelta? Or is cow or yam, or tomatoes a natural resource? Did the Northerners just venture into the forest and start packing cows and tomatoes? Was oil deliberately cultivated or reared in any part of the world. What exactly is the economic activity in the NigerDelta and who has forced the people not to have control over it like the cows and yam hardworking men are cultivating in the North? I know that all natural resources, be it Coal, Tin, Gold, Diamond etc are not the result of hardwork by anyone or region, and it is held in ownership by the federal government. It is my hope that since the natural resource called crude oil gives a 13% derivation to the host state, the above natural resources will give the same 13% derivation to the host states too. Beyond that, let everyone go find a job and stop loafing around for handouts, regardless of what natural resources exist in your country, state or community. |
AtlanticBreeze:I get your drift and I'm impressed you could intelligently associate the relevance of the immigration service to all Nigerians irrespective of international boundaries. Infact immigration into Nigeria doesn't mean the migration would be confined to the boundary regions of the country, hence the reason why the service is operationally present in all the states of the country. Now since you are actually intelligent to decipher the above, I am surprised you have limited the role of NNPC to just oil production as it relates to oil bearing fields and communities. What about oil consumption within Nigeria? Do the oil producing communities consume more oil than the rest of Nigeria? Is the NNPC restricted to oil exploration alone? What about refining and downstream marketing, distribution and retail ? Are those not a nationwide reality. Why must you limit NNPC to just oil exploration when you don't want me to limit the Immigration Service to just the international boundaries? Do you now see that NNPC is indeed a National entity serving a national purpose? The institutions I mentioned had all been in existence prior to the collapse of our multi sector economy into an oil dependent economy. So I don't see how they will not survive if we revert back to the former economic structure. As for the Navy illustration, I see you couldn't muster a reply to that. It is a Federal institution as NNPC is a federal agency. It belongs to all and serves the purpose of all, hence it must admit all irrespective of who has access to the sea. Whatever belligerent forces invade the country via the sea, would eventually advance to the hinterland. Our national security is the responsibility of all peoples of Nigeria. As for Northern domination of many sectors including oil, the records have shown that every president tilts the NNPC board membership towards their own half of the country. The records shown here reveals that Buhari is even fairer than Jonathan was. |
AtlanticBreeze:They have 13%, they still get NDDC, they also have a full fledged ministry, then they have local and state governments like other regions of Nigeria have. So I cannot understand their self inflicted pain when their own leaders don't either. What I understand is that the local community has refused to see any economic life outside oil. We have seen what Akpabio did with oil revenue augmented state allocations. What has Bayelsa and Delta done with theirs? Who is talking about transportation? What is an Igbo man or a Kanuri man doing in the Nigerian Navy? Immigration service primarily functions at the international boundaries of Nigeria. I don't recall that any Igbo village shares any boundaries with any other country or international waters like we have in the North SouthWest and SouthSouth. The education I have given to you is that you should stop your regional and ethnic bigotry where National matters are being discussed. A federal agency or department has no business satisfying the wants of a village over the national outlook. |
vedaxcool:I will term it setting him on the path of enlightenment. You should google Rose Uzoma, the former CG of Immigration who was forcefully retired in January 2013 for employing over 4500 people illegally into the immigration service and ensured her landlocked Imo state topped the list without any merit. She even refused the direct order of the minister of interior to abort the recruitment, instead she proceeded to issue letters of employment without any vacancies advertised. The minister eventually conducted his own advertised sham recruitment that led to the 2014 disaster. |
AtlanticBreeze:NNPC does not stand for NigerDelta Oil. NNPC stands for Nigeria National Petroleum Company. Same way we see different tribes represented in the immigration service even when their tribes are landlocked within Nigeria and have no business with our international boarders. We even had an Igbo woman (Rose Uzoma) head the service very recently and tried to conduct a corruption ridden employment during the Jonathan regime for which she was sacked. Same thing applies to the Nigerian Navy, where we have Northerners and South Easterners who have no access to the sea as the South West and South South. Same thing applies to this oil you are running mad over. It exist in the SS, SW and SE, but belongs to all of Nigeria. The emotions of the Niger Delta is irrelevant to how the NNPC is constituted, just as the emotions of Lagos, Rivers and Akwa Ibom is irrelevant to how the Nigerian Navy is populated. The only relevant opinion is the Nigerian national opinion as implemented by the federal President. |
If the information given by the OP is factual, then PMB constituted a more even board membership between the North and South. |
dunmotuscana:As the deputy petroleum minister (who is more like the full minister), Kachikwu automatically becomes the chairman of the board. You don't expect the chairmanship to be given to another person when no other person is the minister. Neither do you expect him to be reporting to the board as GMD when he happens to be the head of the ministry supervising the NNPC. Or you would have preferred he be made NNPC GMD, Minister, and board chairman within the same single ministry? Would he then report to himself and also query himself at the same time? |
Still looking very brain dead. Thank God for science, even a zombie can be kept active. |
Gov OKowa's monthly allocation just dropped a couple of million dollars. 13% derivation would now amount to so little when little volume of crude is sold by operators producing in Delta State. When nothing is sold at all, then 13% of zero amounts to zero. NDA should keep up the good work of self destruction. |
Emancipation:Twitter did what was good for twitter. They are not ready to provide their platform as a medium for terrorism. That NDA would make a point in reaction to it is irrelevant to twitter as long as it wasn't with the aid of their platform. Do you understand the logic now? Do you now appreciate the responsibility borne by a corporate entity as regards the use of their services to aid terrorism? |
TonyeBarcanista:The same Osagie Iyamu of the Lucky Igbinedion fame? Or was he not chief of staff to Lucky Igbinedion? Why do charlatans and political misfits always seem to find a home with PDP even when they leave the party a million times, they always return to their vomit? The same party that accepted an already disgraced Fayose, that made a man they had accused as Boko haram sponsor a party chairman, that re-embraced Saraki, that is trying so hard to have Atiku return and give him the party presidential ticket on a pedestal? What exactly does PDP stand for? What has been PDP's contribution to the political and infrastructural restructuring of Nigeria for the 16years it held sway? What was PDP, Lucky Igbinedion and Tony Anenih's contribution to Edo State when they were in power at the state and federal levels? What was this Pastor's contribution to Edo state while serving as Chief of Staff to a criminal governor who has since been convicted of theft and corruption? |
TonyeBarcanista:I reckon PDP strongly believes in Ijaw supremacy, just that it prefers to zone every position to the North, unbidden? |
What has Edo state election involving 2 Bini men got to do with which Northerner or Southerner Buhari has appointed? Same way Jonathan campaigned for Seriake Dickson's re-election, not on the premise of good work done by the governor in his 1st term, but on the premise that PDP is an Ijaw party. What has Ijaw party got to do with a state election involving 2 Ijaw men in an Ijaw mono-ethnic state? Ijaw party where an Ahmed Makarfi is contesting leadership with an Ali Modu Sherrif? Ijaw party where one camp calls the other boko haram and the other retorts with accusations of Fulani herdsmen sponsorship? Ijaw party that had already zoned its 2019 presidential ticket to the North as early as 2015? Edo PDP should face Edo business as their primary issue of concern in the campaign between 2 Bini men. |
Considering his shaky standing at the moment on what is strictly an intra-party, intra-Igbo and intra-abia politico-legal matter, this Igbo Christian governor has once again shown that the empty chest beating of his tribesmen are just hollow sounds that don't make it past a few metres to disturb the peace of the society. He has only stopped short of revealing that his favourite meal is Tuwo Shinkafi washed down with a bowl of Fura de nunu, or that his favourite tourist attraction in Maiduguri was a visit to the mosque. Yet his supporters would still have the nerve to term another Igbo politician as Okoroawusa? |
Reminez:LOL! You're a clown that knows how to prick the Igbo conscience. |
She has never left anyone in doubt that she is a thief. I wonder what her protector, Jonathan, has to say about this? Her supporters will claim she was already rich and owned an oil firm prior to being minister of aviation, but they won't tell us that she and her firm were also indicted by the house of reps concerning oil subsidy payments. Her supporters won't also explain to us why she loved her house maid so much that she put her own hard earned money of N2.5B in an account that bore the maid's name but the mistress' signature. I hope those that were asking that the minister's name be released to the public before they believe the story, would not now come screaming propaganda and witch-hunt to our utter disbelief. |

kcnwaigbo:The mistake you make is to think a refinery needs to be fed with crude oil from it's host country. There is crude oil all over West Africa. The economics of crude oil is now about who is willing to buy my product that is readily available elsewhere too and what concessions am I willing to make in the broader view of international diplomacy and trade partnership. Even Nigeria is looking for who will buy her crude. The arrogance of the crude oil producer community/country ended more than a decade ago. What obtains now is how best to keep your current buyers from switching to the competitor. Hear it loud and clear, the oil producing states are already capped in terms of revenue generated by volume of crude oil sales due to international sales quota enforced by OPEC even when more crude could have been produced by those states and countries. However, local sales to local refineries is independent of OPEC quota. Why would a Delta State or Bayelsa State deprive their states the opportunity to earn more and pay salaries seeing that both states have no reasonable economy outside of oil earnings? Whoever sells crude earns derivation money, whoever doesn't learn to cry like Delta and Bayelsa Governors have been taught by their own self destructive Avengers. Dangote doesn't need any oil from Nigeria, it is Nigeria that needs Dangote to buy her crude over other West African neighbours who are so eager to sell. |
I thought PDP and it's hoarde of mentally handicapped supporters claimed Aisha Buhari has diplomatic passport, so cannot be arrested in the USA? So why the wailing again that she did not visit the USA so as to avoid arrest? Why are people so contradictory and aimless? |
The PDP era of delaying the execution of judgement since the Obasanjo regime is now truly over. Now the APC led government executes judgements without feigning the presence of any ambiguity in judicial proclamations, that would in the past have required a 2nd suit to interprete an already given judgement. Guess what? PDP is also the beneficiary of this progress made in our democracy but their majority do not like it. Does this surprise anyone? Who is surprised that PDP was the greatest obstacle to the growth of democracy and development in Nigeria. A parasite is of no use to any organism, animal or plant. |
