frankline5:Dude stop disgracing yourself here and enough of the name calling. Try and pass your opinion like an adult. I do not see where I have condemned any of the named personages as guilty. I am indeed right that both have criminal cases in court. |
kcnwaigbo:Hasn't Otti already lost his own case in an inter-politicalparty suit? This is an intra-party suit. How does the outcome concern Alex Otti who is not an involved party? Is he the one seeking for legal redress? |
frankline5:The learned lawyer who has a criminal case of his own to deal with? Tell me more about learned lawyers like Adegboruwa and Ricky "the bribe lord" Tarfa. Don't disgrace yourself here. |
What exactly is Adegboruwa's problem with APC? Must a lawyer allow his personal hatred for Tinubu affect objective reasoning? What has APC got to do with a fraudulent PDP governor and the opposition he has within his own party? |
She looks more like a man, even handsome doesn't cut it for this she-man. I hope Donna doesn't decide to become Donald someday. |
tempest01:In conclusion, any accused should always try hard to prove they are guilty? You've already alluded that the previously accused persons like Diezani and Oduah, were innocent. I reckon it's because they never showed up at any of the panels that summoned them to come defend the allegations against them. Or could it be because perpetual injunctions were obtained against being ever investigated that you arrived at this conclusion? So that Aisha Buhari intends to attend an event in the USA in her capacity as first lady, makes her guilty? The very same requirement that her accuser gave to prove her innocence and reveal it was just a coincidence of names between the criminal Aisha Buhari who American court records show as residing in the USA, and the Nigerian first lady who had not been to the USA at any of the times her supposed court appearance occurred. She is trying so hard to prove her innocence you say? Is she supposed to try so hard to prove her guilt? I have countered you with very objective points and brought it down to a very comprehensible level for you, yet you are adamant to make a laughing stock of yourself. Stop raising a eyebrow and keep your gaze steady so as to capture the intelligible information in all the litany of stories that is revealed by the press. I honestly hope nobody inherits this idiocy from you. |
tempest01:Your manner of reasoning and arriving at your opinion reminds me why Nigeria can never practise the jury system in its judicial set-up. How many Nigerians have a functioning brain? Does your statement that I quoted above show that you have even a mediocre brain? When then do you consider someone to be innocent if you consider them guilty for defending themselves in a manner their accuser had already prescribed as the only proof of innocence? That you defend yourself by naming worthy criminals who refused to defend themselves even when all manner of documentary evidence showed them to be guilty, is really of no surprise to anyone. In your brilliant mind, the innocent never defend themselves and never honour panel invitations, instead they get perpetual injunctions not to be ever investigated. You are a wholesome disgrace to the reasoning man. |
tempest01:But if she did not try to prove her innocence, you would start thinking she's falsely accused? Who can ever please a determined hater? No one can. |
Shame on Fayose and his friends. So all of a sudden the dullard in Ekiti and his mathematically challenged media side kick just realised she has a diplomatic passport, yet they categorically said she had been avoiding the USA and gave 3 instances since Buhari's regime that she avoided a trip there. So did she just get issued a diplomatic passport? The problem with such people like Fayose and his hungry supporters, is they can never be pleased since their initial claim is already even known to them as false. Next thing they'll say is that she did not visit FBI headquarters. |
It is a shame that stupidity is now an epidemic in Nigeria, no thanks to hate. So you all knew she was ever going to be travelling with a diplomatic passport, yet you said she had been avoiding to travel to the USA since Buhari's regime for fear of arrest. You all have no shame. |
chuka5000:I'm forced to ask you if you had any reasonable education, no pun intended? If you did and you can reason, then you would know that Sam Omatseye as you already stated writes a weekly column. So how does a weekly column by Sam Omatseye who is editor in chief of The Nation, Tinubu's newspaper, represent a quoted opinion of Tinubu? Does he also double as media aide or spokesman of Tinubu? When exactly did intelligence depart from Nigerian kids? It would be a shame if you are an adult, so I'lld adhere to calling you a kid knowing there's still a redemption in sight. |
This man na real old school Otondo. Are you a learner? |
Isn't this the recently disgraced pastor that is also giving advice to others? Anyway, he has maintained his innocence, claiming that it's the handiwork of some disgruntled church leaders who are positioning themselves for his eventually departure from leadership. |
Did Fayose file loan application forms for the purpose of purchasing nomination form? Was any collateral tendered for a loan that wasn't even applied for? I really do not understand why Nigerian youths pretend to be stupid just so they can convince themselves that a crime committed was not a crime at all, while looking for the most irrelevant comparison to vindicate their argument? Now answer this question, since we know Buhari legitimately sourced loans from a bank to purchase the nomination form of the APC, how exactly did Fayose's bank legitimately sponsored his own campaign? Some people truly think every Nigerian is an idiot who ought to support the criminal acts of politicians. |
Achuwa1:Why does she need to go clear her name when no prosecutory agency both local and international has accused her of any crime? Has any agency in the US or Nigeria invited her for questioning? She gets to the FBI office in USA and says she has come to clear her name having been invited by special detective Fayose of the FBI? The knowledge I'm trying to pass to you is that the relevant agencies know who they had documented as the involved Aisha Buhari, they are not interested in the president's wife. Ayo Fayose is irrelevant to the investigations carried out, and does not command a private citizen of Nigeria to visit the USA or not. Now who is in trouble because they speak without thinking first? |
Oxenomy:Do you and phockphockman work at the CCB or you are privy to the forms he filled to have known he did not declare the Dubai properties together with his other assets? Even if brilliance is too far-fetched, at least common sense shouldn't. The only question is where did he get the money? So try communicate that intelligibly to your readers and not whether he declared an asset that the military authorities have already confirmed he did and the CCB has not come out to refute. Or do you think twitter declaration is what the law recognises as a lawful declaration of assets that you are looking for an Internet address link? The link you need the most now is the whereabouts of your brains, then you both can emerge from the zombie affliction. |
I guess this is the new way of attracting investment. Where was this taught, London School of Economics or Niger Delta University? |
Despite being declared by Burutai himself as his assets, the question of the source of money is still a valid one. Or are the Dubai assets so worthless to be affordable to a Nigerian army general earning only legitimate income? Does he or his general family have other legitimate sources of income that could have provided funds for this Dubai investment? |
unngraduate:Let us ask Ojukwu, Nwobodo, even Iwuanyawu too who at 78years married a 28years old woman. So the appropriate question is can you marry someone with an age gap of 50years? |
It seems many so-called wealthy Nigerians had been living on borrowed money, while employing government patronage to keep their creditors at bay. Unlike Ben Bruce, I am very much aware that this Nduka fellow has been living like a spoilt child and partying with the likes of Lil Kim and perpetually holidaying at the most expensive hotels in New York. A grown ass man trying to behave like dem boyz in tha 'hood. |
Gennyike:While you remain the victim of every imaginary hidden agenda of the government. Your self inflicted misery will last till eternity. How can Nigeria ever be one when a tribe continues to struggle to cloak itself in the garb of the victim, however innocent and general a policy might be? What exactly is your problem? Where is the sense in all the foolish and bigoted comments above mine that aim to label the government an enemy of a specific tribe regarding a policy and action that was generally applied across the country? Your hypocrisy stinks to the heavens. The good thing is the rest of Nigeria has come to terms with your nature as a people, and have since disregarded your antics. |
nduchucks:Even though the politicians involved might have employed tribal undertones in their accusations, my statement is more about the violence associated with both camps as labelled by their opposite accusations. |
nduchucks:Indeed! I didn't have too, however, the Fulani Markafi had already labelled the Kanuri Sheriff as boko haram, Sheriff has retorted with claims that Markafi's camp have sent Fulani herdsmen to assault the party National Secretary. |
Now that Cameron has announced his resignation for just losing a referendum that he opposed the outcome, not that he lost his seat or majority in parliament, I'm sure no Briton would be canvassing that he be awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize for Peace. Yet an African leader was sacked at the elections, but his supporters clamoured that he be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for leaving office without being pulled with chains out of his bedroom. Africans (Nigerians) should be ashamed of their very low standards. |
mrvitalis:I don't think the British see it that way. The have hardly benefited much, rather, being a part of the EU had seen them shouldering a lot of burden no thanks to European migrants into their country. With this exit, they can now aim to become the USA of Europe while not being under the dictates of EU laws. |
When you invite the devil to come solve your problems, he solves it but gives you catastrophe in its aftermath. Wike and Fayose and Ekweremadu facilitated the emergence of a 2yr old party member to become interim chairman, in a party boasting of other long term dedicated members. The new party member had long been accused by the same PDP of sponsoring boko haram when he was still a member of ANPP, then APC. He suddenly became their darling when he decamped to PDP and was running errands to Chad on behalf of then President, Jonathan. Now Sheriff has come to lay claim to the boko haram legacy of PDP as described by Gen. Andrew Azazi. But the house of Fulani herdsmen will not take it, and are formidably led by Markafi. Who will win this destructive battle between the old dynasty of boko haram, versus the upcoming Fulani herdsmen? The demise of PDP will tell. |
Is Dangote defaulting on his loan servicing? Was Murray Bruce not mentioned as defaulting in his loan servicing? It is not about amount borrowed, but who is showing financial distress by not meeting up with his contractual obligation. Besides, AMCON does not close down businesses, they take over to run it up till a time when all debts have been paid up, then return the business to the debtor owner. I can bet the OP is from the tribe that is ever crying victimization and marginalization. Now they have turned to merchants of that service, ever willing to provide their noise to anyone as long as it will antagonize the government. Shame! |
ajealadick:I believe he did his very best for NTA. I do not know of him being a beneficiary of a money scandal, but I remember he was removed as the scape goat in a scandal concerning broadcast equipment for NTA for the 2003 All Africa Games. I remember that scandal involved Atiku the then Vice President, but Ben Bruce was the one who had to take a fall. He maintained his cool, and all parties involved maintained a cordial relationship. |
Learning from his great mentor who also mounted a Chinese podium addressing uninterested delegates otherwise known as passengers.
|
bender79:I doubt that the Murray Bruce family can be accused of being too wasteful or elitist to the point of wrecking themselves financially. Yes they will enjoy their wealth and not live like paupers, but i doubt any of them own a private jet or have kids schooling at Eton or any of the expensive universities. Everything known to the public about their lives seem to be achievable by any very comfortable middle class family in Nigeria, despite their own very wealthy status. I however like that they have reacted to this episode in their lives as a business oriented and sane individual would. Business can always go bad when a lot is staked on an unstable investment that goes south, but also give huge returns when the score is right. |
The Murray Bruce family is one I will never gloat over their present financial debacle. Their history in business starting from their father, devoid of government loot, is one that is worthy of emulation. I might not agree with Senator Ben Bruce politically, but he has my respect for his business acumen and lofty ideals. How this investment went bad is what puzzles me. |
Nobody would want to be associated with Ayo Fayose right now. He has perfected a way of always smearing all in a bid to stay afloat. |
