AllenSpencer:Maybe he was expecting him to mature shame over time, but the guy is barren. May God not afflict Nigerians with Peter Obi standard of infrastructure. Rich man that hates spending money on quality. |
Make I save space here. |
I like that we are doing this throwback, but can you handle the whole truth of this throwback? |
YorubaNOlevel:Not rape, murderer of his wife. He will face judgement of God, having likely escaped judgement of man. |
Nigerians do not bother about some states where nothing much is expected. |
helinues:Why are you asking a wicked question? When stationed side by side in Peter Obi's village, the one he provided will be for the Osus and the stray dogs and goats, while the one from Ayra Starr will be for the human beings. |
OriOko88:Old money bank did not save the giant Union Bank when it refused to modernize. |
Ofunaofu:Is this the poor standards you all complained bitterly about Gov Peter Obi when you lots were counting down to his exit from office so as to have a better replacement? Una dey try ooo. Very shabby charlatan. |
toneroforever:There is a state government to provide such amenities, but does not stop private individuals from doing their bit with some dignity and class. Are you not ashamed that Ayra Starr has more dignity and class than a former Governor cum political prostitute? |
LegendHero:That fellow has no standard. Rich man wey dey proud to dey wear Akube. Maybe the curse of his wealth is that he must never live wealthy despite having it. So that rules pains him so much that he also refuses to spend for others. Or maybe it is a psychological problem. Abi no be him state dem strike for 13months? |
SadiqBabaSani:Modest means but rich enough to hide his wealth in offshore accounts under his daughter's name? He is not a thief but a wholesomely corrupt charlatan who domiciled state funds in the bank he had interests and was a former Chairman. Or do we talk about investing state funds in the brewery he also had significant interests? Which Governor was found with N250m cash in his convoy? |
helinues:Her Majesty over His Excellency, any day any time. You cannot give what you do not have. Obi does not have standard. Little wonder the Anambrarians then were complaining bitterly about how useless he was as a Governor. |
mrvitalis:You mean as President, this is the quality he will provide on a national scale because it is multiples being installed? Will you as Governor or President provide this 15th Century infrastructure and pay the contractor for a job well done? Peter Obi is so shamelessly stingy. Like a tale of 2 ICT Centers between 2 Senators. Even you complained about this rubbish charlatan when he was a useless Governor. You know that Borehole is rubbish and typical of Obi's obsession with cheap articles. |
One was installed by a very rich man hiding his wealth in foreign offshore accounts under his daughter's name. He was infamous for always using cheap articles and even as Governor he was providing cheap infrastructure that could not compete with the standard of his predecessors or successors. The other was installed by a Musician who is only just climbing the ladder to riches. Those who love quality will vote for Ayra Starr over a charlatan. Her Majesty's Water Service over His Excellency's Water Supply.

ScarletBrace:Who was accessible to Jonathan and Yar'Adua the recluse? Even Obasanjo was more outgoing and accessible than any of those 2 you mentioned. Shut the latrine in your house. |
Juliusganduje:The problem with Sanwo-Olu is that he is too humble, accessible, and available for Nigerians who have been so mentally abused and dehumanized by the military and those in power over the years. This commendable feature of Sanwo-Olu is a weakness when juxtaposed with the masses around him, hence why he becomes an easy target to be maligned and vilified with every opportunity. No Governor in any state in any particular crisis situation has embraced the protesters the way Sanwo-Olu did during the End SARS protest, yet he was insulted while in their midst, but still took their complaints personally to Aso Rock to deliver to President Buhari for prompt action. We all know that he declared a curfew to eventually end the protests and allow economic activities to return to the Alausa and Lekki axes of Lagos, but we all saw how the subsequent Police/Army assault on the stubborn protesters at the Lekki toll gate was put on his head and how the assets of the state were vandalized as a result with many misguided youth vowing then and attempting to get him sacked at his re-election in 2023. Meanwhile, the politicians who do not care about anyone striking or protesting, or being killed extra-judicially in the states where they rule, have become the darling candidates to be supported. |
Juliusganduje:He is telling you that nothing stops the NigerDelta from also developing as any other state that has received allocations owing to government revenue from NigerDelta oil. What is also stopping the NigerDelta states from improving in their IGR performance? |
“We have also started securing convictions. Schools that charge Nigerians in dollar, supermarkets that trade in dollar, estate developers that sell their property in dollar, hotels that are invoicing in dollar, we are coming after you and we have made arrests in that area. This Tinubu regime is alive and kicking. No rest for those who undermine Nigeria and Nigerians. |
fareed69:Indeed they are. We must chase dollars out of the psyche of Nigerians. we must exorcise it from our mindset. |
Warn them, then prosecute them for hard labour jail time if they prove stubborn and treasonous. This country must not tolerate economic insecurity of any kind. |
The new deputy governor was unambiguous that his becoming deputy governor, months to the expiration of the eight-year tenure of Obaseki, was part of the political permutations for Ighodalo to defeat his closest contenders like LP’s Olumide Akpata and Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC). StOla:When we that know the political game give our assessment of a political move, political babies should learn and not argue. Some even tried to correct my assertion by claiming that Olumide Akpata is not from Akoko-Edo, as if I even made such a claim to begin with. That somebody is projected to get support from a particular region does not mean he originates from that region, but could draw familial sympathies from there. Following Naija politics since 1996 with Abacha´s 5 political parties no be beans. Now we have received the very identical message from the horse´s mouth. Maybe the political babies will still argue with this fact. |
By the way, how do you tax the rich who hide their wealth in tax havens? That JAMB question go knock Obi off his seat in the exam. |
ngwaIgbo223:You are still living in the old and decayed past of Eastern Region where NigerDelta oil money was being used to develop Enugu, and when the NigerDelta struggle for secession was lead by Isaac Adaka Boro, his group was violently quenched by Aguiyi-Ironsi and Ojukwu, while Adaka Boro himself was locked up for Treason. Even the SouthWest does not hold on to the Midwest of Edo and Delta, the way you SouthEasterners have refused to stand alone without the former parts that are now part of SouthSouth with Edo and Delta states. Is it a case of Inferiority complex or a need to return to the past when you fed fat off the minority NigerDelta? |
Penguin2:You mean the same Lagos state government that grants approvals for every property development and land use in the state, did not know that landmark is owned by an Igbo man? You guys are irredeemable. You actually love being tribal victims of every government policy. |
Wetin Tinubu no fit do in the realm of politics, does not exist. The master of political alliances and political strategies. APC President that is settling PDP disputes. When Tinubu has time, he will also help the rudderless LP put its house in order. With Tinubu, leadership na abinibi ab initio. |
Donaldoni:I swear it must be rendered useless by fire by force. I would have preferred a more aggressive suppression. |
Kingpele:Give him sound not noise. |
garfield1:And you think regardless of which party is strong there, the people would not want to support their own son to become Governor of the state? |
garfield1:Are they bearing Yoruba names or they are Yorubas? Akoko Edo are Yoruba whose land happen to be cut inside the boundary of Edo state. Just as Itsekiris are also in a particular local government (Ajoki, Ikpoba Okha LGA) in Edo that shares boundary with the greater Itsekiri land in Delta State. |
That singular move is to eliminate Akoko-Edo support for Olumide Akpata. |
helinues:you mean like that foolish partisan hack claiming to be a journalist? |
