I was born into Catholic faith and practice till I was 12 and I enjoyed it. My parent became deeper life member while we were living apart and now a pastor in that church. I re-united with them when I was 12 and since then I've been attending the church with them and still attend Catholic occasionally....I love the preaching from the founder of deeper life as he preaches the bitter truth but I believe most other young pastor see d church "doctrine" as commandment and so must be kept 100%.....the founder of the church addressed this issue several times but NO.
18 years on since we re-united, I'm a graduate, married and living abroad but my father still forcing his believe and doctrine on me. I considered myself spiritual but not so religious. I connect with my God easily but not a 3G church guy.
He made me and my siblings antisocial and introverted simply because he believed we shouldn't be involved in any social activities even sports. I still remember being beaten for playing soccer, he believes we would be influenced badly. Watching TV was a crime especially movies.
Fast forward to yesterday he rang my wife to check on us but the first question he asked was if we attend to church. I told him it's been raining and temperature was really low....then he started lamenting asking if I won't go to work if it wasn't Sunday, complaining about the country where I can't worship God...then to get me more exasperated he asked and insisted I tell him how many time I've been to church lately and how many times I've read d bible....I told him we've been attending but he insisted on a number.
This got me so mad that I stood up for myself under a heavy breathe as I do not want to disrespect him or hangup on him.I told him I do not appreciate being asked questions like a 10 yrs old boy and at my age I should know how to live my life and what's best for me.....he got angry and said goodbye and I guess he was still on d phone but I didn't know...I just hang up.....Now I've block him from reaching me ... planning to change my numbers.....but not any financial support. Only cutting all communication with him but not with my siblings as they mean more to me and I wanna see them through as much as God help me...
Please is this not an over reaction because I loved him as he's a very responsible man who puts the family first and strived to make us who we are. But we do not av a close relationship because of his believe even though he's been forcing it.
Make your father a friend. That is the only best way of communication he can do with you. You have to play along with him. Sweet talk him. He s old, he wants to still be able to talk to you. Let go off your gaurd of feeling embarrassed. Just be his friend. Make him understand. Ask him how his ministry is going. See where he needs help financially.
Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Peter Fayose running for President in 2019 under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)has shared another campaign photo on twitter some hours ago with the caption,

alexialin: I like him cause of his sense of responsibility
Have not thought about love with him, cos am in the school of thought that one shouldn't date neighbors, cos we dont know if it will end in marriage or breakup as usual. Thats one.. So inlove? Nope am not but I like him.. Hes a good responsible guy.
Sighs but my fear is ikorodu With the killings going on there and the terrible traffic to and fro to my buisness, I can't risk both at all
First my biz? It took me 11years to keep it running, stable and successful. If am going to relocate my biz, not anywhere near ikorodu at all!
I can't afford to loose my company for anything in the whole world and I can't afford to move my biz to a location where it wil not prosper. And ikorodu is too fetish for my liking With oro festivalsa and all
Then thieves abeg.
Where I live is very secured and safe
Am very paranoid about safety. Due to past experience. Sighs
And on the second hand, I would love to start a family but not at the detriment of my peace of mind.
I just taya.
Babes, all your listed points are valid. It cant get better than that....
But wait, he should have asked you out all that while so that at least feelings go establish.
Your response is just natural. I cant see any fault.

dalaman: Stop regurgitating religious cliches to me, it's making you sound like a robot. Give me an example of an answer Jesus will give me when I call on him. How will he respond so that I'll know it's him and not some other phenomenon?
Look my broda, iv been working in a bank as a contract staff for 8 years no promotion or elevation. Recently, july 2017 i was converted from an outsourced staff to a direct staff with my bank. Now, this is what happened. Iv been praying about this situation, my general life situation and God did it recently.
This is how it happened...there is this kid named Dominion in my compound and i like playing with him though not frequently. July 2017 , i paid my fourth year rent making it 4 years of staying in my compound.
This fateful day, saturday, i was doing my laundry outside my flat in my compound and this kid ran towards me, calling me "Dominion, Dominion" Dominion. Meanwhile, thats his name he was calling me. So i luke- warmly replied him " its you that is Dominion, why are you calling me your name!" meanwhile, this kid has never ever call me his name since iv been in my compound for four years. No, never. So, Towards in the evening of same day, i was watching a popular televangelist broadcast, i guess you know who im talking about. This pastor was just declaring " walk into your dominion! Sing into your dominion! Pray into your dominion" it is your dominion! This is your dominion!.......i guess you know the meaning of "dominion"
To cut the story short, this August, i was converted to a direct staff of the bank expecting my new salary!!!
God of signs and wonder did this and He,s doing more.
dalaman: Has the holy spirit finished visiting christians and ending their disputes? Even the basic nature of Jesus has not yet been agreed by Christians while the holy spirit is laying idle without visiting them and correcting their disagreemen. Is Jesus God or is he distinct from God? Some christians say he is God himself while others say he is different from God and just simply a part of the God head as the son. The holy spirit is yet to visit christians and clearly explain that to them the basic nature of Jesus, but It is me an atheist that has seen the delusion for what it is that you want the holy spirit to come and visit abi? Tell the holy spirit to hurry up and come. We will have dinner and eat lots of chicken when it comes.
Thats the problem, you guys keep generalizing! And you keep sinking and twill affect your general life if you dont pause.
The Holy Spirit has been visiting you but you are too carried away with whatever is clouding your judgement.
You papa will not provide everything you want. At some point he will refuse given you what you need, now that dosent stop him from been your papa.
Acknowledge the Trinity. Call on the name Jesus and He will answer you...with signs. Ask the Holy Spirit direct you. Read the bible my broda.
dalaman: It took me like 8 years to finally accept that God is a man made idea and creation and that my religion was just the same like that of the others (nothing different or special about it). I became depressed for reasons I couldn't explain. I felt terrible about myself. I regretted ever going to Europe to study, hated Nairaland . I truly wanted God tp be real but I those questions and the reality kept starring at me in my face.
With the veil off my eyes I saw that the church was just a normal assembly of humans. There is nothing that goes out outside the church that doesn't go on inside the church. NOTHINH AT ALL. All the adultery and fornication that goes on outside the church also go on inside the church, all the fraud, deceit, lies, pretence, violence, marital issuesetc that were going on outside the church were also going on inside the church. I fully realized that nobody holy pass. The pastors were no different ftom me or any other person in reality. We are all humans groping in the dark and trying to find our ways when it comes to the issue of morality and uprightness.
I realized that I was a better human being than most of the people I held or put on a high pedestal because of my religious beliefs.
After a while I settled in accepted atheism and became an unapologetic athiest.
You guys put too much emphases on human behavour instead of God, Jesus and the holy Spirit. Humans are canal they 'll always fail. Have a personal relationship with God my broda. Becos you think you are smart and strong willed, you question everything and you got drowned in your curiousity. The Holy Spirit will visit you again as always.
Marioplus: Parents Gone Wild: Bleaching Children's Skin: by Oluseye Igbafe I heard about this for the first time a year ago at the birthday party of a friend's child. One of our mutual friends walked up to me and after pleasantries, said to me:
“Sis, your daughter is very pretty oh.” “Thanks”, I replied. "What cream do you use for her?” She asked "Cream?! I use Johnson Baby lotion." "Only?! What do you use to bring out her colour?” she persisted. “I don’t really understand you,” I answered her, “What colour am I bringing out?” "No oh, you should use something that will bring out her colour. Don’t you know she will be prettier (sic) if she has fair skin?”
I cringed inwardly. All the while, I had struggled to believe she couldn’t possibly be saying what I thought she was saying. “You mean I should start bleaching her skin? At what age and why would I do such a crazy thing?! It’s not necessary my dear,” I answered her firmly. "It is oh my big sister. Especially for a girl but not bleaching; haba, not even toning! It’s just to bring out her colour oh and it’s not a sin," she said. "Even you should bring out your colour more,” she added.
I swallowed my raging retorts and simply said, “I hope you don’t do that for your son? He is way too small to have anything being rubbed on him. I beg of you." *Well, since he is naturally fair-skinned, I am just maintaining it, I have been mixing his cream with Movate since he was born,” she replied I was unable to dissuade her before we got interrupted and I eventually forgot about the conversation. Till about 2 weeks ago. I walked into a supermarket and saw a heavily bleached woman with three beautiful girls who were looking “toned”. Their faces were conspicuously lighter than the rest of their body and their knees and knuckles were quite dark. Their ages ranged from age 10 to possibly 5.
I then decided to research the concept of parents bleaching their kids and what I found out is that there is indeed a craze for fair-skinned children; and many parents are turning their dark skinned children to fair-skinned. They claim they are helping their kids maintain their “natural skin colour”.
A lady told me it’s not bleaching or toning if it’s done with natural products. She uses Shea butter, Turmeric, Lime/Lemon, Camphor etc. to prepare “natural” soap for her daughter. Another lady recommends mixing their creams with hydrocortisone or clomatrizole creams for a “clear” smooth skin. I was simply shocked. First, I think this generation has totally gone bunkers with vanity. No, this isn’t vanity, its shallowness of the highest order. I wrote a post last year on Sexualization of Children and though it went viral, I can assure you we are getting worse.
Why does your child need to be fair to be beautiful? What is the correlation? Where did that concept come from? What happened to Black is Beautiful? I believe every child is beautiful and even then the very beautiful ones are not just beautiful because of their skin tone but their facial structure and features. Secondly, it’s way too early to start enhancing your child’s features to promote beauty. Children should have no vanity issues. Again I say, allow them to be children and do not give them self-esteem issues by acting as though they are not beautiful enough. Tell your children, they are beautiful irrespective of their skin colour or tone. If you as a parent can’t accept them for who they are or what skin tone they have, how do you expect them to grow into confident women who value themselves?
Lastly, do you have any idea the possible side-effects these creams will have on their skin? Rubbing chemicals on their skin for years could possibly be setting them up for skin cancer. I mean, a lot of those creams contain Mercury and hydrocortisone which have been linked to cancer even in adults. And please do not hide behind, “I only use natural stuff so it’s harmless”. Are those things meant to be rubbed into the skin? Is Turmeric meant to be rubbed into the skin every day? Lime and lemons are acidic and will definitely have their own effect. Camphor?
I know Shea butter is good but your motive should be just to Oil or moisturize their skin to prevent it from dryness. If there is a vanity aim to your “natural method” then you are part of the problem.
Leave your child’s skin alone. Don’t set him or her up for future problems due to your own narrow view of beauty. Personally, I believe parents who bleach or tone their child’s skin should be arrested and prosecuted. It is the height of irresponsibility.
Let’s allow children to be children. Let them know whether they black, brown, yellow or white, they are all beautiful.
Women are the problem, op. Thats what you get with shallow mind social media competition. Lota ladies are loosing comon sense of reasoning becos they want to keep up. Ignorant is not helping matters.
It amazes me when you see kids posing like adault to take pictures on the instruction of an adault. Some kids will be dancing raunchilly at kiddies parties and i'll be like waawoo! Let kids be kids aunties, mommies, ejo, please!
"Pepper Dem Gang", is literarily known ordinary in relation to insta and snap chat chicks as used by "Olamide" in one of his songs (((o baby))), but by wholisticaly looking at the phrase from another point of view, it conotes rigidity and doggedness. So, i was on my way to church today at Park View Estate and i saw this almost completed construction site. The fence is covered with Macdonald banner (pix attached) to cover it from peoples view. I was like, where could they find the banner when there is no Macdoe in Naij. The site is at the second gate of Park View Estate.
I'm prettie sure they are rolling out a flagship Restaurant in Naij and in Ikoyi.
ebosie11: Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, on Friday revealed that the late tele-evangelist, Archbishop Benson Idahosa, got his father converted to a born again at a crusade in Ibadan, Oyo State in 1980 and that his father later sowed the family's only car to propagate evangelism.
Speaking in Benin while delivering the convocation lecture of the Benson Idahosa University (BIU), Fayose said the decision of his father to give out the family's only Peugeot salon car drew the anger of his six wives and 27 children who felt bad about the decision.
"Archbishop Benson Idahosa came to Ibadan in 1980 for a crusade and my father attended and he was converted and after Idahosa had finished preaching he said they should donate something for God's work and since my father was converted and deeply touched, he gave out the family's only Peugeot car.
"He changed the car's ownership and particulars and brought it to Idahosa that he was donating it to support evangelism. Though the entire family was against it because we thought it would affect the family's movement, the seed of faith paid off in the end. Those who donated were prayed for by the Bishop.
"I was so pained that I blocked the gate and insisted that the 504 station wagon will not be taken out of the compound, my father called the police that I was preventing Ben Idahosa's car from leaving our compound, my father had indeed changed the vehicle particulars so I had to succumb to the police.
"But today, God has prospered the family. It's good to give to the Lord and when you do that you are sowing a seed that will germinate for the children and that is working for us now," he said.
Fayose said what he wanted to bring out was the importance of giving to the Lord cheerfully. He charged the management of the institution that the vision of the late Idahosa must not be allowed to die but upheld.
While fielding questions after delivering the lecture entitled "Education and actualization" , Fayose said handlers of the sector must live their words and put those concerned on the driver's seat.
"I withdrew my sons from Olashore International School in Osun State and put them in SUBEB Schools in Ado-Ekiti. My sons attended institutions in Nigeria. Many people in the country say something and do other things," he added.
He also advised youths not to inherit the enemies of their political leaders they know nothing about.
He charged Nigerians to critically examine their leaders before voting them into office. On how he would actualise his dream of leading the country, Fayose said he would only align himself with God's power, saying with God nothing is impossible.
Word of wisdom. He also advised youths not to inherit the enemies of their political leaders they know nothing about. Oshokomole. Peper dem gang. Its only you that practice fair and clean politics. You got ky vote 100 when you contest for prez.
Chemist009: ..... Hello fellows,my name is Shuaibu(not real name),am in my late twenties and am from Edo. So this is my story:
... Everything was going well and I was really at my peak until this happened some 11 years ago(2006 precisely)...... I was at home with my Guardian's wife and one of my cousins at night(around 8pm or so) when suddenly I heard someone call my name at the door and I answered rushing to open the door, only to discover that there was nobody at the door and i was a little terrified. And that ordeal, I can say was the beginning of my mystery.
Later on,I began having series of terrible nightmares that would linger on to become part of my life till this day. Firstly,I would always dream that I want to take something, but my hand will never get to it as i would stretch and stretch-and it was a recurring nightmare that happened on a regular basis. Secondly,I always dreamt that am always being pursued or running and when am running, it's usually at a very very slow rate and this dream too happened all the time. And so for a long sustained period,i had these two nightmares and in most occasions, always in danger.
Fastforward to a few years later and I would notice deterioration in every facet of my life, yet, I would just ignore. Later around 2012, I would gain admission into the University, but I well too realised that I was never the same again..... Before i entered University though, I began having health challenges (chest pain and discomfort) and I inwardly suspected it's a heart problem. So at the University, to cut a long story short, I never got anywhere near my peak and it was always whenever i had it in mind that I wanted to study or exams were around the corner that my chest problem always came, but when free or unoccupied or during holidays, I felt healthy and this was the trend all through my University days.
Again, although it was nightmares pre University, at the university it became somewhat metaphysical and it was in truth worrying. Whenever i slept and wanted to wake up, I always felt as though am being held down and standing up or even shaking becomes impossible and this has continued till this day. In summary, of recent it's either very terrible nightmares or not being able to stand up when awake as a result of being held down-and this mainly happens when am sleeping alone and in most cases when the room is dark.
It's way more mysterious than i presented it, but this is just a Summary of everything. Opinions please cos I feel trapped......
From the name you choose to bear on your tread it seems your a muslim. No, im not trying to profile you or whatever. With open mind. I want to talk from the point of view of you trying to take sumting in the dream without getting the item. Now, i'll relate it to the kind of dream. i "used" to dream im in exam class not writing anything and not submitting while watching others submit their papers. That dream in the scale of 1-10 is 9.
Now, i have this strong passion of been a musician doing music. I tried so hard on my own blindly and empty just moving and going. I was lacking. The dream keeps coming. This passion was around 2000-2006 and maybe further.
One faithful year i decided to take my Christianity seriouse by getting to know the bible very well and also going to a church i have identified. I get to understand that we need to have a one on one relationship with God Jesus the Holy Spirit. Now this is aside. Something led to something i decided to go for deliverance so i went to mfm head quater yaba to do deliverance. I read the bible especially some passages that relates to my situations.
To cut long story short, its been close to 10 years now iv stoped dreaming that dream. Also i could remember i dont sleep facing up because ill always have nightmare. But after the whole thing i can sleep like a baby facing up. God is directing my steps on the verge of my music pursuit.
Op you could be a great or important person that has something you are pursueing or trying to achieve but adversaries are on the way.
Naijahelm: Following rapper FalzTheBahdGuy recent interview with HipTv where he advised his fellow Nigerian musicians to stop promoting and glorifying fraudsters in their songs.
A lot of opinions, hateful comments have been observed on all social media platforms with some section backing the Law graduate turned rapper, while some have blasted him for indirectly shading veteran musician, 9ice 'Living Things'.
The event may now have taken a new turn with fresh facts presented on the length at which this theme has thrived in the industry.
With all the hate finally paving the way for some low self-esteemed, mentally displaced, self-loathing individuals to suddenly be consumed with ego and bragging rights they lack in real life, it should be noted that these norm (glorifying fraud/fraudsters) have actually been in play for a very long time.
To the carriers of the slogan 'I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth, so I must 'Chache', here are 10 songs by Nigerian acts promoting fraudsters.
D'Banj - Mobolowowon Olu Maintain - Yahoozee Kelly Hansome - Maga Don Pay Reminisce - 2Mussh 9ice - Living Things Olamide - Prayer For Client Junior Boy ft 9ice - Irapada [Now this song was meant to be about redemption but instead, it had the artistes hailing fraudsters and giving a couple of them cameo appearances in the video] Shobzy ft CDQ, Ycee - Eruku Remix Small Doctor - Penalty Olalakeside - Elegushi Spender
Heated debates, shades and the likes, have for hours on end been taking place all over the country as to if Falz is right or not. With some agreeing Falz is right, but should have just turned a blind eye like few others have been doing, and others suddenly locating the writing spirit in them, composing lengthy open letters....what do you guys really think? Is Falz right and if he is , will he win the brewing war?

dainformant: This is the latest fitness craze sweeping the United States, “Goat Yoga,” where young and old are lining up for the popular classes that leave participants in stitches. The new workouts taking place on farms across the country involve Nigerian Dwarf goats — miniature goats of West African origin — roaming about as the Yoga participants practice their exercise routines.
Several of the people who tied the fitness routine said while the goats did admittedly get in the way of the yoga stretches and poses, they were a welcome distraction that had everyone giggling and vowing to come back for more due to the warmth of the goats.
Some also said that the routine was a pure release of tension, a pure release of frustration..
engineerboat: Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Friday in Ado Ekiti, said he would become the next president of Nigeria.
The governor, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, boasted that he had the attributes to wrestle power from the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress in 2019.
He also boasted that former governors Segun Oni and Kayode Fayemi would fail if they contest the 2018 governorship election in the state.
According to him, neither of the two performed to an admirable level that Ekiti people would give them a second chance like he was given.
The governor spoke at a meeting with political office holders at the Government’s House, Ado Ekiti, where he also inspected Osoko Political Institute Centre.
He said, “Just because Ayo Fayose has won a second term to become governor of Ekiti, some people also think they can come back now, but I want to tell them that it is not possible. I am the man wholeheartedly loved by Ekiti people because of the many developmental projects that have brought great infrastructural and developmental advancement to Ekiti.
“If you go around Ekiti, you will see my handiwork dotting every nook and cranny of the state. This is why I am the man who every Ekiti people will follow in 2018.”
Fayose said he had the penchant for taking powers from people having defeated two former governors (Niyi Adebayo and Fayemi) in governorship elections.
“I have penchant for taking powers; that one in Buhari’s hand. I will take it. I’m going straight to that villa. I’m the next president.
“I want to be the next president of Nigeria. My own won’t be this change that has brought nothing, we are going to represent the people well and tell them the truth.
