Lemme share a similar experience with you guys.
There is this very pretty babe I met sometime ago, in Ph. We did stuffs for like 2 months and both parties were forming loving.
There was a day she called and said she was not buoyant and she needs some provisions. Since I was busy at the office and will be travelling to work the next day, I promised her I'll try and see her before heading back home to prepare for my journey.

By the time I was eventually free to go see her, it was about 9pm but I was still resolute to see her since she said she was broke and needed stuffs. I got to the closest supermarket nearby and got some provisions like milk, Milo, corn flakes, Oats and I think custard.

When I got to her house after all the stress and called her that I'm at the gate. I got the shocker of my life. The babe was ranting that why am I just coming, that it's because I want to sleep over blah blah blah. I just told her aiiigght
I was shocked cos no babe has been so rude to me. Just imagine, my stress, my money, my provisions, my time. I just turned back immediately. She came out and was coming after me trying to apologise and all that trash. I stopped a cab and headed straight home.

While I was in the cab, she kept calling. That was the end of the relationship. She called, text and sent FB messages but I never replied.

After all, I no lose. I'd already gotten what I want from her and was just trying to be a good guy.

Guy place value of yourself. There are better chicks out there that will appreciate your time.

Renegotiate with him on the labour and supervision fee. For the materials cost, I cannot comment on it since I don't know what he is buying.

The figure quoted is not too much for any type of foundation adopted.

Just find out if all the items mentioned below are included in the scope of work (assuming it's a strip foundation):

1. Setting out
2. Excavation
3. Blinding
4. Preparation of Column Base
5. Starter Bars reinforcement
6. Foundation blocks
7. Formwork for the starter bars
8. Sandfilling
9. Surface treatment (Compacting, Laying of Damproof Membrane, Blinding, Mesh reinforcement etc)
10. DPC formwork
11. Rough-in pipe work for mechanicals
12. Pouring of the DPC concrete.

I'm 100% confident that the estimate given is not for a raft foundation.

Also find out the height of the foundation because if it includes materials, labour and supervision, you need to be sure of what you're walking into.

No matter how much of compromise your contractor is willing to make on this build, he will definitely need to make provision for the following if not more:

1. Granite - 150k
2. Sand (4) - 160k
3. Iron rod (1 ton) - 130k
4. Rings and binding wires - 20k
5. Cement (180 bags) - 270k
6. Blocks based on the partitions and 4 block height (1500 pcs) - 240k
7. Planks and Nails - 50k
8. Sandfilling - ??
9. Plumbing materials - ??
10. Miscellanous (DPM, etc) - ??

You have really analysed well. This is based on a project I am handling now.
If its the engineer that will handle the workmanship from the setting out, to excavation till to the German floor. This will include the builders labour, the welder's labour, the carpenter in fact everything about labour etc. Then the workmanship is very reasonable.

Secondly, if he also the one to buy all the materials that will be needed. Hmmm I doubt of that amount will be enough o. Though he knows best.

In my opinion, the price is reasonable but I doubt if he Wont ask for more funds when you already neck deep into the project.

I'm not impressed cos it still comes with a 1gb RAM.

My dear. I'm talking from experience. Leave the job and go for your masters. You will be better off after your masters and if possible PhD .
You will definitely get better job offers going by the experience and educational level you have attained

( let's say husband have no job and poor)

Wife now runs to a rich neighbor for assistance, and he asks to sleep with her before rendering assistance.

Believe me, it will take a strong woman not to give in to save her child.

But, if she gives in for her child, will you say she has been planning it?
