It's practically everywhere on nairaland. Anytime anyone posts a story here, rather than tending to the issue as it were, many people start to form detective, claiming such stories are fake. Like every story is supposed to follow a predetermined pattern. Stupidity would not let some people go past what they cannot comprehend rather than calling it fake

You can breathe through a double layered cloth mask. It is not comfortable but thats the trade off. My cloth mask even has a removable gauze filter in between both folds.

The objective here is to reduce transmission rates. A cough travels at least 9 feet, Cloth masks reduces and disperses it in front of the face to less than a few inches. Surgical masks ( outside of N95 and variants) spread it to both side of the face - imagine that on a bus.

Because something is low cost does not make it unsuitable.

Not true.

Tests consistently show that the blow through rate on doubled Ankara masks is lower than on regular surgical masks (N95 excepted). Once the mask is properly made you should be able to breathe. No one can breathe 100% normally in any mask. This statement you have made is not only untrue it is capable of creating unnecessary panic and fear.

You just got yourself confused. How do you double an Ankara and are still able to breathe like the surgical mask?

Anybody using Ankara or non-medical materials for face mask is just deceiving themselves. You either won't be able to breathe normally, which forces you to lower the mask most times or the pores in the materials are too wide thereby allowing the microbes to pass through

How about Alaba International? That place is far more crowded than Computer village

Do not come out to justify what you don't know. If there was no hidden agenda, they would never have put Covid-19 on that receipt. Did you also see that the receipt bears the Lagos State Government?

This is to tell you that the figures NCDC posts on a daily are very false and that the figures are grossly inflated by the Lagos State Government just to justify how they spend the billions they get from the federal government and private companies.
