'cos they add no value to growth of dia economy,rather they flood dia market with imported finished products,thereby competiting wt dia local budding industries/enterpreneurs. Have u seen these economic leeches in China or other developing countries? If any1 u has seen 1,i am ready 2 receive 100 latches.

While d CBN has alwayz engaged in theoretical monetary policy,itz commendable 2 c CBN trying 2 embark on grassroot/practical monitary policy.

Reason for revisiting this case is oweing to the fact the US Govt. refused to release the about $183m bribe money recovered from Halliburton to the Nigerian Govt. due to the latter's inability to show enough seriousness/commitment to try those indicted in the bribery scandal especially Julius Berger which was used as a conduit pipe in executing the delivery of the bribe money in tranches to the then govt. officials who in turn make returns to their Principal in power. While the US Govt. has tried those involved in the scandal on their country soil,the Nigerian govt. has fined Halliburton owned by former US Vice President,Dick Cheney with about $28m while leaving others like Julius Berger off the hook.
