PoliticsRe: A LASTMA Official 'Arresting' A Driver ( Pic) by stunna2(m):
oh, im aware some cretins here (as y'all like to call each other) will not see any connection between the topic and the issue i raised, but let those who can see the connection pls respond...as this is not a derailment affort.

in every instance of that site's interpretation of the aforementioned phrase...there is at least double negative! so, who choose the phrase Eko O Ni Baje to represent the State's slogan and why are people surprised that things are not getting better in Lagos?
PoliticsRe: A LASTMA Official 'Arresting' A Driver ( Pic) by stunna2(m): 6:35pm On Aug 31, 2012
I just looked up the meaning of a phrase i often see here on Nairaland:
Eko O Ni Bage

...according to this site (http://issuesetal..ca/2008/05/eko-o-ni-baje.html)

This is the new slogan for Lagos State since the emergence of the present Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola. "EKO O NI BAJE simply means
- "Lagos shall not deteriorate."
- "Lagos no go spoil"
- "Lagos will not spoil"

In other words, Lagos shall continue to be the Centre of Excellence!

Since I am a firm believer of POSITIVE affirmations, I truly really appreciate the phrase...

BUT STOP!! where do these people get their education from?? The last time i checked i was taught that POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS PHRASE MUST NECESSARILY NOT CONTAIN THE WORD "NOT" RATHER IT SHOULD CONTAIN WILL OR SHALL OR MUST OR SIMILAR WORDS...

Am i not right on this? ...because if i am, then they need to change the phrase so they dont have millions of people saying 'not' for lagos!!!!!

The whole idea of positive affirmation words or phrases is to constantly repeat what you want rather than repeat what you dont want because in the psychology of the unconscious mind the active word in a statement is what is captured and repeated and acted upon and in this case it's the word "not" that the minds of the millions of people register and act on!?!

i wait to be corrected...

airfinance: If you want to take a space coach the double decker buses in the UK please make sure you follow up the queue. Don't rush as you do to get into Lagos Danfo.
They love orderliness. A. Nigerian man once rushed into the space coach, the white passengers and british blacks that were sited already had to get down frrom the bus thinking the man has a mental problem the bus driver had to called the metropolitan police to save the situation.
Before the guy could realised what made people to left the bus for only him.

RomanceRe: Ladies Are To Be Blamed If They Are Aged And Still Unmarried? by stunna2(m): 11:08am On Aug 24, 2012
Actually the Internet makes it very easy now for 26 years old gurls to abuse their father's mate on NL with no fear or regards at all...so you think those girls will calm down in real life and have a 29 year old husband tell her what to do in a marriage...nope, unless the dude buy her a plane ooo, I think!

So, it's even gonna get harder for 'em to settle down...I think

I still find it funny when women talks about men being intimidated by thier success...as a general rule, we men usually don't care about ur money or what university you b prof at!! It's u women who worry about those things and then you engage in projection and convince urselves that since such things/worries rule ur lives, it must rule men's lives too.

Either you r ugly or have ugly attitude or too old by the time you get ur PHD and men ur age with similar status will always go for younger women than you because we prefer youth in a woman to how many degrees she has or how much money she makes!! or something...

Beside, y'all start looking for weak men that you can control anyways...but as some of u have found out, it does not work that way...
If a 37 year old you with a phd convinces another 37 year old man to marry you and he has a phd too...you should be worried what will happen when u both turn 45 or 50!

Not just a Nigerian man thing...though, it's just the way men are everywhere...as an example, look at American top Politicians with multi millionians wives in their 50s!!

They constantly cheat with younger poorer gurls or worse leave and marry some broke ass younger gurl still!

So, please learn that you r not a man who will go marry a 24 year old with the approval of her mom after he has made it at age 39...!!

We r not saying this because we hate y'all, not at all...some of us actually love y'all n care and don't want you alone or worse lonely at old age!

It may be hard to believe, but we actually do care, we really do...even when you don't because we know that sometimes just because you think you know what you want now does not always mean that you will be happy when you get it...!

Bless
RomanceRe: Ladies Are To Be Blamed If They Are Aged And Still Unmarried? by stunna2(m):
This is my take on the issue of marriage and, having kids and or a career:
Here in my city, everywhere I look...what people built 50, 60 or 100years ago are being destroyed and replaced with what we of today see as better designs and better knowledge, right? Well, right...!

So if I chose a career as an architect today n hail myself as having designed this building n that...and could not have a family because I was too busy, then it's very possible that 100 or 150 years from now...the children of the children of my mates now will pull down the houses I designed and replace it with what they see as more modern to their times...but I will have no future generation to contribute!??

This is to me a totally unacceptable proposition and it therefor follows that I must have a family and kids...

So for a women talking about career and so no marriage or kids...just make sure you are not talking about some secretary work in some corner office...while welfare moms use ur tax dollars to raise a future generation of children that will wipe out memory of your company's work a few decades from now!

Just a thought...

If u care, then be wise...
CrimeRe: How We Killed Cynthia Osukogu — Suspects (Pix) by stunna2(m):
My message, parents please create the environment where your children feel free to talk...it could save them some day from a grave danger, please people.

But at the end of the day, the blame is totally on the head of the killers n rapists because only them can somehow decide to renounce their evil ways, abi

SEE NAIJA ON NAIJA CRIME

This is bad, real sad.

I was in Nigeria recently and couple of girls came to see me and I was really disconcerted when they both sturbonly refused to tell parents where they were going despite my insistence that they do so...!

I found it unbelievable that a 28 year old gurl with a post graduate education can not simply say, mom I'm going to this state to visit a guy I been talking to...!?

Coincidentally, statistics shows that a lot of children born to West African Parents in part of N America become run-aways because of the harsh uncompromising rules in their home environments where daddy and mommy although lives in America insist on the Africa mentality of you must do as I say rather than talk things over as their white and asian counterparts do...and the end result is youths who are then out of the homes (due to excessively strict parenting )then get into prostitution and drugs dealing...and tens of thousands of black youths murdered each other on the streets of America over the past decade alone.

Sad all the way
RomanceRe: Does Love At First Sight Exist? by stunna2(m): 8:26pm On Aug 21, 2012
Here we go again...a bunch of people who have never had one form of experience try to invalidate the existence of same!!

love is above all of us and no one can know it in all it's ramifications...therefore dont talk about what u dont know!

see people tryna analyse love and come to the bottom of it forgetting that love is greater than we all are!

look up the love concept of mirroring, ye of little faith!

people dont stay with u long term because they love you, but do so because they like you, right? well, since people can like the way you smile or tilt ur head so much that they will forgive anything u do....and like is the bases of love, and people can like ur million dollar smile at 1st sight...how can love at 1st sight not be real then?

now some of yall foolishly believe that because people dont stay with you forever...then they must not love you...no, the reason they didnt stay with ur ass is because they dont like you anymore...even if that love is still there!

is this all too complicated?? lolzz, well love is very complicated...so dont claim to have figured it all out and know what form it can exist and can not exist people!!

bless, n may good love walk ur way...

hmmmm, Cuddlemii...you see this gurl picking a fight with me ooo, stop her b4 i drop a bomb on her case!!

anyways, until you explain why ur "loyal team bit-ches" will not betray you over a boyfriend you clearly confessed to them you have no love for but rather just using (and there is no honor amongst theives or bit-ches)...all reasonable pipo will rightly assume that the game was over when u gave ur socalled mugu boyfriend free access to ur girlfriends alone! case settled, go lick ur wounds if u cant find a come back response to ur conundrum - give him independent access to ur fellow bitches to defend u and risk their betraying you for a man they know u dont love anyways! seehuh!!

sorry Mami, i didnt mean to bu tt in ur game...i was just getting hyped because dude could have put away the game but continued...but he already explained why! besides he won the game hands down all by himself!!

Cuddlemii already invited me to join if i wanted, so i had no need to ask!

but my message to cuddlemii still stands though, if she respond, it will not change the game, but it will slightly alter her selection process...thats all! again, i have no plans to derail her game...just wanted to see it enhanced

be used

okay, thanks dude...that will do it!!!! her two timing self convinced her gurls u r a big time mugu she dont love and they will be too hapi to take u away from her when they get the chance...so, her lil dream team of loyal g/f will not work here! you totally won this dude, banged her one more time and banged all her girls one by one too!!

After all,you would like to prove me wrong with your well laid out plan well , Besides ,i would do anything to prevent such.

,now what are the chances that after the whole planning and scheming , all your friends
who were in on the gist, would be together in a place, very low i guess, then i would call all
the numbers you gave me one after the other in this format.

First i would introduce myself and ask chitchat for a while, requesting their names of course
then ,
i would switch to angry mode, ranting about how YOU are using me and she would try to defend
you and tell the same story as you did. then i would ask what is the name of the said classmate.
What are the chances that all your friends would say the same name afterall, even the one playing
the classmate.
oooo, im getting vex here and want to shoot dowm this girls' child game!
dude you got to the end game in this post and then you kept going...? haba

to win this thing, Cuddlemii can i please add a sentence to the bolded to win this thing for this guy?? i want to add something there and all the girls will say...yup, that will do it...because girls are bit-ches and will betray each other fast! fuc-k

Cuddlemii: Anything is possible! Remember, they left voice mail messages that they were coming. They could have been worried or something.
It could have been laws of nature or destiny or just mere coincidence.
Probably she was always bragging about being a good player & her friends placed a call to her bfs, invited them over to test how she adapts to pressure.
This is just for fun, you can participate if you like.
i must say here that your game idea is brilliant but with one fatal flaw and it's this fatal flaw in the very design vis a vis the people you chose to play it that is responsible for it not somehow meeting expectations so far as you will notice from people's comments on pages 21 onward!

im gonna play a game with you here but very briefly and if you dont know the answer, maybe you could tell your game players what i said and they could somehow help you find the fault...since i have given you a clue as to where the fatal flaw is...!??

this is not an attempt to derail ur thread...i promise to give you the answer, if you try twice and got it wrong, K

great effort with the game though so far on ur part...but again the people you chosed are not doing so well, because you used the ... ... to pick them! find it and choose different players based on the new ...! good luck! cool cool cool
