I actually see now that a lot have gone missing in the creative sector since the Nigerian economy started dwindling lately.

I saw the advert too and was immediately pissed,it lacks total creative concept,though a unique selling point but with a very wrong caption.

This could reduce their goodwill but I know it would sell,onlt a few percent of its market share will be lost.

They had better changed the tag,as it holds no value-added to customers immediate propensity to consume.

There are thousands of other lovely caption e.g Jumbo pack,Family Size,Extra-Large,King-size,etc

Please indomie I still cherish your 'Mama do good' Advert,not this one at all.It sends a negative effect instead of a positive value-added.

Malcom x-

Rev jesse Jackson-

And many other Muslim men of God all fought against blacks racism and rights abuse way back in the US.

So you should not expect whoever God is going to use to be a lame man.

Pastor Bakare himself cannot stop himself from doing what is doing because his actions are involuntarily controlled by God.

He is an upright individual to some extent and is capable of showing us the truth,though he might not be other people's political favorite,no one should expect him to be everybody's favorite anyway.

Pastor is peoples advocate in the absence of numb and speechless prominent Nigerians including fake Pastors,Imam and Islam Men of God lying and deceiving their followers.

The last time GEJ and his families decided not to listen to the ones who voted him at the beginning of this year over Fuel subsidy issues was he not among the other active people that were present and visible fighting against the wrong GEJ moves,or you all have easily forgotten.

Better don't let the few ones helping that our weak voices and plights be heard,be gone into thin air otherwise are situations would become more worsen.

Reasons some Nigerians could be regarded as gullible is that you are suffering and someone who is voluntarily trying to help is now also being contained by the so called feebles who needed the help.

Is not this same woman a million have called uneducated and uncultured.
Is it not this same woman appointed Secretary while serving as Wife to an incumbent president ? And can anyone tell me what is right about the foolish and babyish policies that passes through our nose everyday under GEJ that some still find it hard to understand why Pastor is doing all this so that our senses can be right.

Bakare is totally upright and only the blindfolded would not see his rightful moves.

Pastor Bakare either a pastor or IMAM is a vessel God is using to liberate the sufferings of his people and you shouldn't have expected Almighty God to use a fraud to direct His cause .

It was also a Reverend that liberated blacks in the US not to mention Malcom x.

And I hope u remember the 'I have a dream March'

Pastor Bakare his doing his bit as God has told him and I see so much sincerity and truth in every of his expressions despite the fact that am not his member.

Nigeria must liberate and we need to stop joking as we are all joking.

It makes me sulk each time someone risks his life to fight and the defended Nigerians tend to garrulous want to fight him back.

Pastor I am solidly in support and behind you.

Touch not my anointed,if Nigeria must break let's know how we go share am amicably and stop all this galivanting,pretence,treachery and corruption by some people because they are in power.

REVOLUTNIS: Ogoni Declares "Self-Government"
Posted: August 3, 2012 - 02:02
Ogoni Flag
By Dr. Goodluck Diigbo/Tambari Deekor

“We are acting with legitimacy to reclaim all of our rights, without exception,” says Goodluck Diigbo

To the Ogoniland people,are we to say congratulations to them.

But on a serious note Nigerians,aren't everyone under severe injustice be liberated like same Nigeria got liberated under the colonial rule.

I think there's something big really wrong with this present country Nigeria and no one seems to care.

If Russia,USSR,China,Sudan and other several new nations could disintegrate for political indifferences and peace to reign,what manner of forbearance and pains should we be holding on to in what name,God,Jesus or Mohammad.

North are ready but not direct,same with the south. can't they just all settle amicable like Koreans and Russia did before it goes into very bad and irreparable proportions.

Jubilations are continuing throughout Ogoniland after the Ogoni people in southern Nigeria, today, Thursday, 2nd of August declared political autonomy.

In a live broadcast on a newly established radio station: Voice of Ogoni, MOSOP President/Spokesman, Dr. Goodluck Diigbo vowed that:“By this declaration of political autonomy, we, the Ogoni people are determined to enforce the United Nations Declaration on Rights of Indigenous Peoples, without fear or retreat,” Diigbo said.

Diigbo affirmed that self-government within Nigeria will secure for the Ogoni people, their indigenous rights, enable them to meet their needs and interests and finally end internal colonialism.

Diigbo said self-government became urgent recognizing the need to arrive at a consensus to collectively review the disputed UNEP Ogoniland Oil Assessment report, because any dialogue must be with the genuinely elected representatives of the people expected to enforce indigenous rights without dictation.

In the broadcast, Diigbo further underscored the reason for the urgency of self-government for Ogoni: “Concerned that in the absence of a responsive government that the indigenous people of Ogoni will continue to suffer from historic injustices.”

Diigbo stated: “In order to make indigenous rights practicable in Ogoni, we have through a very transparent electoral college process, beginning with community by community elections, set up 272 village councils, while the village councils in turn elected representatives for 33 district councils and the district representatives went on to elect representatives to serve at the center as custodians of customs and traditions, otherwise called lawmakers.”

“The law makers in turn elected the executive arm of the Ogoni Central Indigenous Authority (OCIA) with checks and balances inbuilt to ensure corruption-free, effective, efficient and answerable system of grassroots self-government instead of the old, corrupt and mismanaged local government system endured by the Ogoni for decades,” Diigbo explained.

“In taking these measures, we are quite aware of the discomfort to about 56 local politicians that control local government politics in Ogoni, however, we care more about the 1.2 million people that have for too long been excluded,” he stated.

He announced that a Transitional Committee was already set up to facilitate dialogue to ensure peaceful transition, within 30 days, while consultation with the national government and international community begins without delay.

Diigbo emphasized the need for Ogonis to remain law-abiding and act nonviolently; saying “we are acting with legitimacy to reclaim all of our rights, without exception, and for the sake of peace and security; let no one test the collective will of the Ogoni people, because we will not surrender our indigenous rights anymore.”

Excerpts:

In 1990, we the people of Ogoni presented the Ogoni Bill of Rights to the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in which the Ogoni nonviolently demanded among other indigenous rights:

· Political autonomy to participate in the affairs of the Republic as a distinct and separate indigenous unit (by whatever name called), provided that this autonomy guarantees political control of Ogoni affairs by Ogoni people; The right to control and use a fair proportion of Ogoni economic resources for Ogoni development; adequate representations, as of right, in all Nigerian national institutions, and the right to protect the Ogoni environment and ecology from further degradation as recognized under international law to which Nigeria is obligated.

Nigeria, a multi-ethnic nation state, a legacy of the British colonial administration, granted political independence October 1, 1960, after the British violated Ogoni independence in 1901, did not respond to the Ogoni, inhabiting their ancestral land in southern Nigeria.

When in the struggle for indigenous political autonomy; especially, in matters concerning confiscation of sacred ancestral lands for oil production without prior informed consent, there comes a moment to assert powers derived from the consent of the people and Nature’s blessings in order to protect, preserve and pass on inherited sacred ancestral heritage to succeeding indigenous generations. On behalf of the entire Ogoni people, I am highly honored to present these issues surrounding the proposed Ogoni Declaration of Political Autonomy.

Part of Full Text

30. That despite the fact that the “Nigerian Constitution” and other laws and policies provide for a local government system, in reality, the local government constitutional provisions meant to extend the principle of Federalism to its logical conclusion, by bringing the government to the grassroots level, do not apply in Ogoniland as a result of corruption and public deception by local and state political actors and the lack of enforcement of the shaky “Nigerian constitution” by the federal government;

31. That, this is because quite often local governments are frequently dissolved in Ogoniland without any explanation rendered to the Ogoni people;

32. That, essential appointments into local government service are often suspended for several years without information to the Ogoni people about the reason for such suspension, when the local authorities still operate budgetary provisions for needed manpower;

33. That the elected representatives who have supported this proposed declaration of political autonomy for the Ogoni people as they have bitterly complained that the present system of local government in Nigeria does not allow them the freedom to govern according to the wishes of the people;

34. That individual local government chairman has to remit monthly allowances in substantial amounts to those politicians at the state and national levels that put them into office;

35. That since local government operators are often imposed on the people, they, the local operators are required to compensate for the way they are often put into office through massive and violent rigging of elections;

36. That in the circumstance, the local operators, expected to respond to yearnings of their grassroots constituencies have become perpetually vulnerable to threats of illegal removal from office without reference to the electorate;

37. That, we the Ogoni people take very serious, the complaint by the Ogoni local officials that have confessed that they still hold office because they are able to settle their political godfathers, meaning political stalwarts that planted them as conduit pipe for siphoning funds meant to help in the development of Ogoni villages and wellbeing of Ogonis;

38. That the application indigenous rights will end this manner of abuse of power and mismanagement of public resources as the representatives of the people have been duly elected by the people in Ogoni, and controlled by the people and to end the system whereby politicians handpicked by political operators at the national and state levels, remain in office without accountability to the people as long as they satisfy those who put them into office.

39. That the local government employees, some in service for over 30 years cannot even afford a good meal with their families, but have seen politicians that come into the local councils buying houses in Port Harcourt and Abuja, even in overseas countries within six months in office.

40. That we believe that the Ogoni people are equal to all other Nigerians that now lord it over the Ogoni by means of indirect internal colonial rule through the corrupt local government system, which violates indigenous rights of the Ogoni people.

Concluding Declaration:

“Now, therefore, acting on the General Assembly mandate on the questions relating to the Political Autonomy of Ogoni in southern Nigeria, and in the spirit of the General Assembly motion DPA/001/2012, and its resolutions DPA/002/2012 and DPA/003/2012 adopted and approved on July 31, 2012; in accordance with the wishes of the Ogoni people contained in the Ogoni Bill of Rights of 26 August, 1990 as revised on the 26th of August 1991; expressing the collective will of the good people of Ogoni in the referendum of 2010 and the second referendum of 2011, obeying the command by the Ogoni people and their elected representatives from 33 district councils, comprising over 272 village councils, living in the six kingdoms of Ogoni, namely: Babbe, Eleme, Gokana, Kenkhana, Nyokhana and Tai and two administrative units: Ban Goi and the Bori National Territory; conducting this solemn affair in accordance with the United Nations Declaration on Rights of Indigenous Peoples adopted by United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 13, 2007, guided by the purposes and principles of international law in accordance with the United Nations Charter, I, Dr. Goodluck Diigbo, hereby make this historic statement, to announce the proclamation of this General Assembly Declaration of Political Autonomy for the Self-determination or Self-government of the Ogoni people within Nigeria, today, the 2nd Day of August, 2012. So declared, and so be it; for the advancement of liberty in freedom and the preservation of the ancestral heritage of the Ogoni people.”

Thank you.

I have critically assessed the whole story and it pointedly sounds like a cock and bull story.
Blatant excuses of the defendant and it reads to me he is a counter-opposition (hater) to the youngstar,Davido.

The defendant could take clean pictures of his cab and not even any from one or two or other of the parties involved.

No shots taken at the Hotel incidence with the Hoteliers confirming the story.

The defendant sounds extremely fraudulent and he is obviously trying to pull a fast one which has no concrete foundation,he makes me sick !

I don't have anything to do with Davido but the whole story looks like a amateur fraudster trying to hone his wacky skills.

The bros should go get a day's job at least.one kobo he won't get.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”

27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]”

28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”

29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.

31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.

32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.

34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’

36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”

Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

@ Stupor
Can't you just see the Priest say. . ."Abeg, Abeg me I don't have time for this, I have important business to take care of."

Cant't you just see the Levite saying "Well I am not the only one helping. At least me I didn't laugh at him like the priest that just walked by.

How encouraging will the story had been if you the point of your thread (since you felt a need to open) was about how you saw your fellow brother passed out from being drunk and sensing the grave danger he might be you helped him out? Think about it!!

You didn't even try to wake him. . .splash water on his face, slap him upside the head, anything even though you knew why he was there in the first place. . .to take the all important test you were also taking. Wait, could it be that you happy that there is one less person to compete with? After all by your own admission he was very intelligent and he spoke well. Hmmmm.

The reason I brought the Bible into this is because if I remember correctly you were the one of the people listing the churches that can lead someone to hell fire. How about Behaviors that do the same? You wanna tackle that one?
Nice bible stories ! Though it's not my bed-time or Fellowship class.

God is always a good God.

Very funny ! And indeed quite funny when you converse with very controversial respondents especially when they have nothing to prove and only to lull in spiritual scriptures to come help them out of their worldly and guilty folly.

Let me simply state here my humanitarian gestures to this man in question.

1.I prevented the rest of his bag containing his valuable credentials from getting totally all wet.

2.I tried pushing the bag round his neck gently,in a manner as not to belittle or abuse him so that probable street miscreants would not easily take the advantage to steal from him.

3.I got hinted by my pal to take his pictures just in case this youngman's whereabaouts could not be traced,just it in case the story goes different as he looked very unwilling to move his body and susceptible to kidnap and may be the few shots taken could help to start from.

4.To also teach a lot of culpable others about irresponsible drinking esp.when at work or at very important occasions as your wedding day or at very important times as these,a job Testing day.

5.On the contrary to your scriptural and hypocritic gestures,it took me extra one and the half hours to get into the exam hall because the time wasted while attending to see to what could be done to him.

6.When you lull in scriptures and mundane personal feelings on everyday occurrence,it brings nothing else but a slow response to good corrections.

So may be when you see a fellow drunk church member in public with this irresponsible attitude,or when you catch a member red handed stealing church's offering all you will do is,shout ! Hallelujah and start clapping.

What is wrong is actually wrong !

If I see or catch publicly anyone in obscene situations,doing anything irresponsible and you feel I should not expose it,its totally against my own religion also.

I'll speak the truth at all times because that's what the scriptures say !

I also remembered it was my pal that hinted I took his pictures just in case his whereabouts can no more be traced.

I also tried putting his bag very close to him because I felt it might include his credentials,though they were all drenched by the drizzling rain.

And I hope you know I couldn't do more than what I did because I was already late as we were already summoned in for the exams as at that hour,there was absolutely nothing I could do to help a drunk man,or do you expect me to have backed him and carry him to the exam hall! (Laughing) .

So I wonder why you have called me an hypocrite ! An hypocrite for doing what ? Stealing from him,mockery of him,drugging him,being his friend,stripped him naked ? !

The guy here is drunk and nothing can be taken away from it no matter how emotional you try to put it,at least it wasn't as if he was actually dead or rough handled,he brought this upon himself and deserves what comes with irresponsible drinking esp. When you have a serious exams at hand.

There's just something nasty about you...I can't put my finger on it but you're definitely not kosher.

PS: You may think using fancy words make you look smart but your grammatical errors easily shows you up. Why don't you stick to simple English words that won't trip you up?
Hahahaahahaha bros !

Why are you trying to pick on me also,when I wasn't the one that did the shameless and irresponsible drinking ! Or were you the person involved ?
I have been on N/L way back for sometime now and if you really don't know,I hold no bars and hide no feelings when I spill my views especially when I do it for a lot who are too busy to pick a point or share their own opinions on interesting mind-bordering issues.

I express my feelings constructively and for people like you who don't understand literary expressions ,I try to break it down to your own class.

If cheap publicity is all we all wanted on N/L many of us including you would definitely not gain popularity and like many of us a lot of credible information might not get to us and that's more reason,we all here use 'Tag names' so that we don't get cheap Popularity as you have just said here sir.

I cannot be so lily-livered as not to reply your comments because I don't even know you and I don't think you know me either so nothing you would say about me that's going to move me or make me feel downcast.

I keep myself busy by reading articles both professional and non-pro even if it's a randy or funny one.
So instead of me considering suicide like the other dude the other day or drinking irresponsibly in the public like this young man,I gather more broader knowledge,ease and peace of mind by reading peoples qualitative articles and share mine if it sounds nice or worth it's sharing.

Don't you know that a drunken person is liable to cause menace to the society ? Why do you think Authorities chase after Drug dealers and Narcotic Agents.

Or don't you think a drunken person who gets on the wheel could endanger the lives of other commuters or pedestrians pass by on the road ?.

Bros its too late to be painting my pictures on the wall.

Express yourself,its a forum,but I'll not use it to disrespect you because I believe I don't need it and I really don't know you and you don't know me either.

I leave the rest for others to conceal what am sharing and at least its not my suicide letter that have posted because I don't have a job and my lexis and grammatical structure is wrong !.

God bless you indeed and am happy for you at least you have a job !.

berem: Mr poster u sure say no be u be dat! With dat ur name...."Stupor" I smell a dead insect!hmmmmm!
Hahahahhahaha !

God forbid ! Trust I can go down there but not in an aptitude test,haba ! I need a job and not a' Rum'.

I think for those saying they should blur the guys face,I'll like to simply add that we have every right in our own opinion to ensure this man is apprehended on terms of creating public nuisance and getting drunk irresponsibly in the public under the influence of Alcohol.

Therefore he should be thanking his stars that he wasn't held liable for adding nuisance irresponsibly in the open by behaving immorally in the public which is also a guilty and chargeable offence.

we on Nairaland that share articles as these still know our little onions and laws very well,most times is a not showing off, but,a clearly justifiable means to pass conscious societal ills by disseminating articles and stories for others who could gain something and learn from either by adding constructively or juxtapose it as they may wish.

But most times,we try sharing for others to conceal and respond,but in this case,its a total misdemeanour and such immoral behaviours should not be encouraged but corrected.

I wonder what a child who sees his father behaving in the open like this would expect to learn from him as a growing juvenile for moral guidance and proper direction.

I appreciate boss !

The guy really trip me o ,e fall my hand completely

DICKtator: You, A whole "stupor" rejected drinks. You can't even live up to your name!!
grin grin grin grin
Nice one bro ! But why would I join him in the rendezvous when we all knew we have an all-important test we have all come to take !

In fact ! Don't you think the man should be apprehended for being a nuisance in the public.

And why should his face be blurred when it was him that caused his own mischief,drinking irresponsibly. In the open public.

Not even the Chief judge of the world can hold anyone for damages na.

I hope you know under legal terms,what DUI is...chargeable under a misdemeanour
and anti-public behavioural irresponsibility.

Nice one though bros,the real Stupor no be full butter boy but I dey arrange ''small small at times''and I wonder why everyone is trying to get at me when it wasn't me that did the shameless drinking !
But if you want more pictures,I'll kindly send but I won't do that anymore.this is good enough to charge him for public nuisance.
