PoliticsRe: OPC Alerts Security On Planned Pro-Biafra Protest In Yoruba Land by Stylaay(m): 12:46am On Dec 05, 2015
If I have never liked our crooked senators I think this social media bill is well thought out. I can tell u 80% of IBO's can't comprehend this fuss about Biafra. History has taught us that a few misguided fools can really start a fire that they will run from and can't control. I wonder how any right Nigerian would think an IBO man in his right senses would want to start a war when he knows he stands to totally loose out. My Yoruba and northern brothers forget this internet warriors o. The average IBO man just wants to get his means of livelihood. My wife is from Maiduguri and I am IBO I think something more than youth service should be promulgated in Nigeria like if u must get married u must marry someone outside your geopolitical zone by force o no b choice. We need to really integrate well. Some people have never travelled out if their "geo political zone" I wonder what d text in quote means self, coined by our trubalustic archaic leaders. We should all rise above hate this is the 21st century my people. The IBO's have a saying a traveller has more experience than a grey haired man
PoliticsRe: We Must Cut N18,000 Minimum Wage Or Sack Workers — Governors by Stylaay(m): 7:36am On Dec 04, 2015
When we vote based on sentiments, we voted any tom dick and harry that shouted change without critically analysing what the individual candidates have for the masses. We still go ahead to fight ourselves, even kill ourselves for the political class. The Nigerian political class are the real enemy of the masses not your fellow Nigerian from another tribe. When they get there they think of themselves and families and not of the common man on the street. Do these governors know the abundant opportunities that exist in their States that can generate IGR? Make them wait na. When the poor is hungry the rich cannot sleep. Very soon na from outside Nigeria them go dey rule us cause the heat will be too hot for them. If u see the opulence these governors exude you will agree with me they need to have their heads examined

Whoever is inciting this IPOB youths do not actually know what they ate brewing. It baffles me to think that some misguided youths call somebody like Nnamdi Kalu their leader. What is the troubled youngman's pedigree. I would have had some respect for him if he went about holding conferences, writing articles and presenting his case like an educated person he claims to be. He went about inciting violence, beating the drums of war like he has ever fought a war. The elders in IBO land can't really phantom what the misguided youths want. They lived through the civil war and they will tell. Every reasonable youth of ibo extract really feel bad when we read how some misguided IBO's on forums spread hate between them and other regions same goes to other tribes that vilify every IBO unjustly. In a war nobody eventually comes out victorious. To destroy is very easy than to build. Ask Syrians what they would wish for now. I have lived through religious crisis in Jos and Bauchi and no party really gets to enjoy a war in the long run. Every reasonable IBO leader should better speak out now before this misguided ones bring hardship and destruction to the east. The federal government should really run an inclusive government. The elections are over. Every section of this country should he carried along for the next four years irrespective of where their political allegiance lies. Injustice and inequality can be used to whip up this type of sentiments.

Funny country that pays its civil servant 18k expects the man/woman to afford an accommodation, train his kids, feed himself, transport from satellite towns to the city centre cos the criminal politicians have bought all the the properties in town and then expect this civil servant to remain incorruptible. We know our problems but turn a blind eye to reality. You can't carter for your civil service well and the country is toying with d idea of paying 5k to 25million unemployed people to do what now? To be recharging their phones? Create the enabling environment for businesses to thrive, develop infrastructure and you will see how businesses will create this jobs
PoliticsRe: Kano Bomb Blast Scene - Victims & Bomber (Warning : Graphic Photos) by Stylaay(m): 1:09am On Nov 28, 2015
APC just politicised this terrorism of a thing. Instead of joining hands wih the last administration to codemn this terrorism. The onus lies on them now. They must wave this magic wand to stop this terrorism. The day Nigerians start being patriotic to the nation called Nigeria eschew ethnicity, tribal hate and think of Nigeria first; we are in for a big ride. I can vividly remember the day my colleague in the office opened her mouth to say so many ibos are involved in book haram just cos of the falsehood that was being peddled to tarnish the last administration. I told her of this bomb blast today and showed her this picture and her reponse was I don't know what to say. She is from Maiduguri. The politics of bitterness we play in Nigeria has finally come around to bite us in the ass. APC must wave their magic wand to end all the problems bedeviling this country.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Appoints Azizi As NIMC DG by Stylaay(m): 6:00pm On Nov 24, 2015
Some days back I had a very insightful discuss with a couple of guys i met. They were from the south west I am from the east but we had a point we harped on so long as the youths can't speak with one voice we have allowed ethinic and tribal sentiments overtake our sense of reasoning we are in trouble. After the first coup in Nigeria, divide and rule has being the best political tool used by the elites to keep suppressing the youths. I was discussing with my neighbor who is from Adamawa and a staunch APC follower. We are all in abuja and are feeling the economic crunch. He said something I really thought about that "if this is the change I voted for I think I made a mistake" we should join forces to keep our political leaders in check and really stop this tribal politics. U sing praises about Buhari, Tinubu, Nnamdi Kalu but in reality how does this translate to your economical well being as a Nigerian. For my IBO brothers someone is saying you should kill other ethnic nationalities. U should fight for your sovereignty has he told you of his economic blueprint of this his Utopia. We should be logical thinkers and not blind followers. The east has been really marginalised I agree over the years but is this the best way to become politically relevant. This nigerian mentality of just study to get paper qualification is really manifesting now. I see even south westeners generalizing IBOs same way IBOs generalize the south westerners or the northerner. The day we start practising equality and justice in this nation will be the day we become a federation. The day you stop being judged based on your tribe or place of origin that's the day this nation will achieve it's God given potentials. You reading my post did not choose to be Yoruba, Ibo, Hausa, idoma, bura, ika and the other 200 and something equally important tribes in Nigeria it was God's design that's why we are church andosque goers in this country butwe can't get our act right cos we lie to ourselves. I am dating a lady fr Maiduguri and l might eventually get married to her cos I have overcome the myopism of being a tribal bigot and ethnic jingoist

PoliticsRe: Biafra Protest Rages In South East, Group Vows To Shut Down Aba on Monday - SUN by Stylaay(m): 8:21am On Nov 09, 2015
All this agitation boils down to inequality and injustice. The ibo man has always being marginalised in Nigeria. If not for the South Easterner's business prowess that had empowered him economically they would virtually be second class citizens in this country. Why IBO's love Jonathan I believe is that he gave tthem a sense of belonging that has never being witnessed since the end of the civil war which is probably why the easterners seem more pained by his exit compared to those from the south south. That said I have a problem with the way most IBO's on this forum go about insulting other tribes and agitating for Biafra. The same applies to yorubas and the rest who insult and stereotype IBO's. The message is being put across in a very disdainful way. This protest gathered momentum because of the perceived exclusion of IBO's from the APC government. The APC government I would advice should endeavour to ensure every region feels included in its government. I was speaking with a Professor from the east that I know was an adernt supporter of President Buhari even before he became President and he told me something that got me thinking and perhaps less worriedm he said how many intellectuals and policy makers express their opinions via social media forums. He said this because I was trying to draw his attention to the war brewing over the social media and I have really come to agree with him. Most non easterners think the average IBO wants to seceed from Nigeria. A lot of us do not even understand where all this aggressive agitation is coming from. But alas it is very easy to manipulate the uneducated and naive into achieving your goals just as boko haram has succeeded in doing. The fact is we should either conduct a sovereign national conference to decide if we want to go back to regional system of government which I believe every region would want. Or start practicing true federalism. The Biafran agitators will never match the might of the federal government no need to decieve themselves. They will just bring bloodshed to the east as boko haram has done to the north east. The IBO leaders and intellectuals are not calling for Biafra and not in support of it. The business man in kano, Lagos, plateau, and other parts outside Nigeria doesn't understand what the agitation for Biafra is about. He just wants to do his business and empower himself economically. The government just needs to give east some sense of inclusion. At least most of you saw the Enugu Onitsha express way, the gully erosion ravaging the east and parts of the south. They just need to feel federal presence a little more but I advice them to exercise patience let the government find its footing. You social media kids need to grow up. Learn to argue and profound solutions reasonably without resulting to insults and hate. Please the matured mind on this forum have a duty to guide the younger one aright though it can be frustrating but posterity will judge us if we sit quietly and watch the younger ones developed so much have and disaffection amongst themselves. Make I face my job o

HealthRe: Nigerians Dig Up, Eat Contaminated Chicken Buried By Customs In Rivers (Photos) by Stylaay(m): 12:15am On Nov 05, 2015
This is crazy. The one DAT really freaks me out is when the military and civil defence uncover site where crude is refined illegally they puncture and destroy the tanks this miscreants use and set them on fire. I wonder if they do not consider the impact of spilling crude oil, diesel or PMS on the soil. Don't they think of the effect on the environment. Wahlahi something is fundamentally wrong with Nigerians. These poultry products can be used to feed carnivorous animals instead of just burying them an industry could spring up from confiscated products. But alas Nigerians won't task their brains na only corruption and bigotry.

PoliticsRe: Fayose's Aide Replies Garba Shehu by Stylaay(m): 10:08pm On Nov 02, 2015
My take on this matter is let people be objective on national issues. When leaders have very gullible and blind followers they start to loose touch with the needs of the populace. Things are really not moving as expected and that's a fact. We should remind this government they promised us to hit the ground running when they take over. An elderly man use to tell me aNigerians have collective amnesia. The moment we fail to keep this government on their toes, after 4 years the only thing that would have happened is reduction in looting of public funds with no improvement in living standard of the common man. If everybody on the social media can dialogue national issues intelligently and constructively and just leave sentiments and stop being ethnic bigots. I had expected the President to take a working tour of the 36 states of this country like Obasanjo did. Let people understand he is the President of every part of Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: South-East Roads Need Urgent Attention – Osinbajo by Stylaay(m): 11:18pm On Nov 01, 2015
It is very annoying the way some silly Nigerians think. Or maybe it's just idiots on this nairaland. The VP has observed a problem that exits in the south east which is true. The government will not be doing anybody any favour it is their reposibility to fix the road. The scally wags that come here talking nonsense about Biafra that were not even born when that idea was broched are really annoying. Nigeria belongs to everybody and every single Nigerian is a stakeholder and entitled to the same right and privileges irrespective of where he/she comes from. The generation of the 90's will set this country on fire if given the oppprtunity . the way ethnicity and bigotry is freely expressed on thus forum is alarming. Biafra is a dead dream. The IBO man should rather become stronger politically and stop making anybody feel they are doing u favours. In democracy different people and regions have were their loyalty lies politically. After elections whoever wins has the loyalty and allegiance of the whole country
