The rest of our mi35 (6 or 7) are still caught up in Russia, when do we expect them?
Any idea if these are for army aviation, have been seeing speculation along that line.
BTW, I think its time we pay attention to the police, the military under this administration has come up, though a long way to go still but the police need to be up and doing.
Tension in Cross River State as Fulani Turban Emir In Calabar Despite Several Warnings From Govt.
The purported appointment of an Emir and the creation of an emirate on Calabar, the Cross River State capital, has drawn the ire of the state government and the people of the state.
During the last Sallah festival in Calabar, the recently coronated head of the Hausa/Fulani community in the state capital, Alhaji Garba Lawan, younger brother of the deceased one, was addressed and hailed as the Emir of Calabar and paraded as such.
There were increasing social media proclamations of the reported ‘appointment’, thereby attracting comments from people who claimed the territory of northern Nigeria extends into the Atlantic Ocean.
The action received very serious criticisms from local kingmakers, residents, traditional chieftains, and politicians.
Threatened by the action, the state government summoned the leadership of the Hausa/Fulani communities in the state to the governor’s office, where they were told in very strong terms to immediately abolish the title and refrain from the plots to create an emirate in Calabar.
Addressing the leaders on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, Permanent Secretary of Special Services, Governor’s Office, Sir Alfred Mboto said, “On no account should any member of the public address any Hausa/Fulani leader as “Emir” in Cross River State.
"This is not acceptable in the state. The state has been known for peace and tranquillity, accomodating and uniting all ethnic nationalities who live in the state.”
The government warned that no leader of the Hausa/Fulani community should be addressed as Emir, or be seen with palace guards.
They also warned that “No leader of the Hausa/Fulani community should be seen with men with swords.
“The leadership of the Hausa/Fulani community must report to the State Government any illegal activities around its environs.”
Salientsinmi: I want to assume you guys arguing here have such an ample time to discuss what is not really necessary at this time.
Quota system or not, competency and exceptionality is paramount in this recruitment.
As for JV between IOCs and the government, I think Mr Raphelo still have a reading to do on the operation of the terms in the JV. From what I know, the government doesn’t involve themselves in the affairs of the company but only interested in their own share of the net returns. Are you saying you work or have a link in the human capital department for you to be so certain Shell will consider someone from the South because they want to fulfill a quota system rather than employ a competent hand from the North who is more qualified? Let it make sense bro… This is neither NNPC nor DPR, even those don’t consider federal character in their recruitment.
In the meantime, let’s patiently wait for success mail or love letter and let this thread rest. We want update on the recruitment and not talks that don’t add up abeg
This thing is pretty simple and what he said I believe was straight forward. First thing they consider is competency and subsequently other factors such as gender and possibly where a person hails from.
Dubaku543: No! I can't engage you, you too with this your little article has been bastardized with false stats and utterances, lies and partisan hype. You almost sounded intelligent but ridden with hidden bias!
Dubaku543: Even though Datti is a paper weight... We just want him to concentrate in Kaduna especially the 1. Southern Kaduna, Niger State and then other middle belt regions. 2. Professor Ango, Northern Elders Forum, his influential elder brother, IBB are there to help him!!
3. He should approach Northern Celebrities and Imams to sell his candidate
1st and foremost they should debunk all the lies peddled against Peter Obi. 2ndly they should tell them why Peter Obi is the best among the rest And Peter Obi should make verbal and written promises what he will bring to the North.
Peter Obi should give proofs how he will unite the country. An ordinary northerner is just after who will cater for them and who will uphold their religion!
1. Southern Kaduna and the NC has already been taken, I'd you know what I mean.
2. None of those guys is worth anything politically, Ango Abfullahi, Hakeem Baba Ahmad, IBB and Obasanjo have no political worth in the north.
3. Even if Buhari endorses PO, I don't see him making any headway with the way things are going.
The bolded is the only reasonable thing that remains for him, plus come clean on his own records of negatives and lies.
The italicized is the way forward: talk about security, economy, jobs creation, unity and shared prosperity but all the interviews he has been granting lately were working against him even among the few people that were considering him.
PO already has a bad record, don't even talk about sending northerners away from anambra when he was governor, I am talking about since he emerged candidate of LP through the negatives of him, his campaign team and supporters but I believe with sincerity and getting good people working for him, he may change those.
Northerners are not driven by hype and noise, if they were Kwankwaso will be reigning supreme in the north right now considering the other candidates.
A lot of northeners are still undecided who to vote for: but its most likely going to be between candidates they think can do something viz atiku and tinubu, if POs team can show sincerity and proffer real solutions to issues, people would support him but false stats, lies and hype won't take him anywhere.
If an Igbo man is the only one with an eye in a group of 10 men, he will console himself and pass down as verdict how he is so special he has only one eye while everyone has two and he can see clearly,
If he is the only one with 2 eyes in a group of 10 men, those are not fit to be called human if he is called human, either they drop the human name or he be called a super human.
You can never win with them, head or tail, they don't accept defeat.
Let's extend your logic then:
All administrations especially those that succeeded had Igbo in them and that's why they succeeded, buhari admin has no Igbo and that's why it failed.
1. How successful were those administration seeing as the country we live in is termed as zoo?
2. The perfect depiction of igbo success in governance as per your wailings is PO, how developed is Anambra? How about any other area he was saddled with a responsibility prior?
3. Tell me, can we now say that the Igbo are major players in the destruction of this country?
4. If any admin that has Igbo is a success, what's the state of the Igbo region? How did developed is it seeing as they at divers of development?
In short, the country is not productive. We need to be productive to earn more USD from various ventures but as of now, our main source is crude (export and sell in dollar, import in dollar, convert to naira, sell at a lower price- the govt off takes the balance of the USD as subsidy).
Non working refineries to reduce the cost of refining and importation, lack of diversified sources of revenue, in productive population (in real terms).
Bialegend: The kilings in the East is being carried out by Buhari's terrorist foot soldiers in army unifmorm. Buhari is angry that the South East is peaceful and therefore he has to create artificial violence through his terrorist DSS and fulani herdsmen. ESN is fighting back and soon buhari's killing squad in the South East will be wiped out.
Dream on. Should never have commented on this thread, now my mentions will be filled by dumb ass warped reasoning.

PROUDIGBO: Dude, the thread is specifically about a road in Aba and not HDI strides! Even if it came to HDI, NdiAbia are not lacking in that regard when compared to other states in the country! Their major problems have been the poor state gov’ts they’ve had since 1999 and the. 2. anti-Igbo and warped Nigerian political-economy that’s been in place since the late 60s to date!
1. Who talked about HDI?
2. The Nigerian 'political-economy' is skewed against the poor, not a certain tribe. Dirll that in. Everything Igbo man faces in politics and economy, another Nigerian from a different tribe faces same if not worse.
Not on this thread to discuss successes and failures of the systems we have, just trying to call out hypocrisy and double face attitude of some people.
Get on any thread about an infrastructural project in any northern state and see the people running it down with their loud mouths while here supporting abject mediocrity.
OldNairalander: If it takes 1 million to build 1km of road in the North, it will cost upto 3.5 million to build that same road in the South. Talking from experience. Ikpeazu remains the worst governor though
Whatever, I have not seen a southern governor in this dispensation who does close to what northern governors are doing. They are all over the place with your people trailing behind them shouting that we don't need roads. Roads they lack.
Someone will now see a project by ganduje or elrufai or zulum or badaru and be saying 'we won't eat roads, we are supporting mediocrity, they don't do anything in the north'. Lol.
Have been following this thread for a while and I must commend the op for this great work.
However, I think it will be great for Poeple to post in the thread when they get those jobs, at least let people know it is for real and keep the place interactive with what to expect and what not.
ArewaNorth: The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Wednesday, assured responsible Fulanis carrying out their legitimate business in the South-East of their safety.
IPOB said it’s not pursuing responsible Fulanis carrying out their legitimate businesses in the South-East.
Emma Powerful, the spokesperson of IPOB, made the remark while commending the Eastern Security Network, ESN, for confronting alleged terrorists masquerading as herders in Lokpanta area of Abia State.
A statement by Powerful reads partly: “We, the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu commend the doggedness of our great security outfit called the Eastern Security Network (ESN) who confronted the terrorists masquerading as herdsmen at Lokpanta on 22nd July 2022.
“We commend the IPOB leadership who has seen what our people are going through at the hands of these terrorists kidnapping for ransom, raping our mothers on farms, killing our men on their farms and snatching cars from all the travellers following the routes in Isiukwuato, Umunneochi, Isuochi and Okigwe since over two years but the government refused to heed to the crying of the citizens.
“IPOB hails them for doing the needful in that area; we are not pursuing responsible Fulanis not to do their legitimate business. But we are after those terrorists masquerading as herdsmen kidnapping and destroying our people’s lives and farmlands in that area.
“IPOB and ESN are responsible for the killing of cows encroaching into people’s farmlands. We also warn the Fulani terrorists not to venture to attack any Community in the area as in their nature.
“If they attack any community, that means Fulani will no longer be allowed to do business again in that market. IPOB advise all Fulanis in a legitimate business to ensure they stay within the designated areas assigned for them in the market. They must not exceed the square meters and measurements given to them in that market. If they do, they will have scores to settle with IPOB.”
IgiveLadiesBj: Okay, I just applied. Do you know the modus operandi of this recruitment?
Well, my experience with GT bank GT program was to first write an online assessment, around 20 minutes consisting of mathematical, quantitative questions, if you are successful, you get invited to an interview and if you pass (don't know what constitutes passing to them), you are invited to another interview after which you will be invited to training school of you at successful. Process may take few weeks to several months, and sometimes I think they select candidates based on geography and other demographics. Don't know how access does things though.
Mohit007: They compiling list for General recruitment. Apl loading disturb ur connect... Those Apl you've been seeing was done through replacement portal.
Hello please, I want to know how these recruitments are done: is it online (didn't hear of it), through the backdoor (connect and so on) or replacement?
The military did not write any constitution — apart from promulgating the enabling decrees. On November 11, 1998, Abdulsalami inaugurated the Constitution Debate Co-ordinating Committee (CDCC) to “pilot the debate, co-ordinate and collate views and recommendations canvassed by individuals and groups and submit report not later than 31 December 1998”. It was not headed by a soldier but by Justice Niki Tobi, with Dr. Suleiman Kurmo as deputy chairman. There was no single military man on the committee. They went round the country to collect memoranda from the public through town hall meetings in Benin, Enugu, Jos, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, Kano, Ibadan, Lagos and Sokoto. They excluded military formations.
After all the frenetic debates — up and down, north and south, east and west — the Tobi committee submitted its report to the military government. Tobi said: “In the light of the memoranda and the oral presentation on the 1995 Draft Constitution, it is clear that Nigerians basically opt for the 1979 Constitution with relevant amendments. They want it, and they have copiously given their reasons for their choice in the different memoranda and oral presentations. So they recommended to the Provisional Ruling Council the adoption of the 1979 Constitution with relevant amendments from the 1995 Draft Constitution.” Abdulsalami accepted the recommendation. When the 1999 constitution was finally published, three of them sat down and placed it side by side with the 1979 constitution. They then did a clause-by-clause analysis. The trio were: Mr. Victor Ifijeh (the current MD of The Nation newspaper who was THISDAY editor then), Alhaji Yusuph Olaniyonu (SA to Senate President Bukola Saraki who was THISDAY politics editor at the time) and THISDAY features editor. They did a word-for-word reading and laughed themselves to stupor: this is pure plagiarism of the 1979 constitution! There were only a few notable differences in the two documents, such as the 13% derivation for oil-producing states and the number of states in the federation. While the 1979 constitution spoke about 19 states, 1999 said 36 states, logically. They were only reflecting the realities on ground. FEDECO in the 1979 document changed to INEC in 1999 constitution therefore it can be concluded that the 1999 constitution is a replica of the 1979 constitution. The biggest irony abt the contentious nature of our constitution is the vicious condemnation of the 1999 constitution by some prominent Nigerians who mostly took part in the previous constitution starting committees or got favour & protection by the system.
Those who believed that the constitution was imposed or dictated by military are just insulting the wisdom and character of their forefathers for accepting what is imposed on them by chairing the committee and drafting what they reject!
Progress17: Good afternoon sirs and mas, please can someone help me with the list of all A- level agencies recruiting underground as at today, please and God bless you Please help me treat it as urgent and i will be so grateful for that sir and ma.
