EYIMICHAEL:The same PDP mull and strange bed fellow? Let the real labourers reap the fruits of their efforts before PDP defectors |
About 500 members of the Accord Party in Edo State have opted to quit the party over comments by governorship candidate of the party, Don Pedro Obaseki, that the party will support the candidacy of Pastor Osagie Ize- Iyamu of the People’s Democratic Party. Among those left the Accord Party are some members of the state executive led by its Assistant Secretary General, Mr. Etionosa Edo. Edo told newsmen that they would rather work for Godwin Obaseki rather than Pastor Ize- Iyamu. He said they were taken aback during the visit of Pastor Ize-Iyamu and PDP chieftains when Don Pedro said they should support the PDP to stop Governor Adams Oshiomhole and Obaseki. According to him, “He did not tell us he was withdrawing from the Accord Party. He said we should support Ize-Iyamu because he cannot work with Godwin Obaseki. “We try to cover for him when he said it was because of the case in court that his name was not published. The truth is that he has no money to pay for the form even though Isibor went to court.” Source: thenationonlineng.net/edo-2016-500-quit-accord-party/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |
I have observed that PDP members in Nigeria seem to be supporting the US republican candidate, Donald Trump While APC Members are trooping behind Democratic Candidate, Hillary Clinton. Is This True?

Yesterday, the Bayelsa state governorship election petitions tribunal sitting in Abuja gave its judgement favouring the PDP and its candidate,Gov.Seriake Dickson. Before this judgement, the PDP has serially been accusing the APC of plans to buy over the tribunal judgement with the APC ofcourse giving a response. Expectedly, there was wild jubilation in the government house in Yenagoa by the friends and supporters of the governor. What I noticed however is that there was absolute calm in the camp of the APC and its Governorship candidate,Chief Timipre Sylva. This is against the accusation by the PDP that the APC had already sewn uniforms to celebrate the victory of the party since the judgement was feared to have been bought. Unfortunately, now that the tribunal judgement has favoured the PDP,Nigerians are deaf and dump. If the judgement has favoured the APC and Chief Sylva, you won't have heard anything else than accusations and insults at the judiciary, the APC,President Buhari and any other person they deem is worth attacking. Importantly, Gov.Dickson would have immediately sponsored violent protest in all parts of the state. Those who love Nigeria must caution the PDP as the party seems the main enemy of our democracy. When they win,its victory for democracy, when they lose its insults and violence. Nigeria Belongs to us all afterall. We mustn't allow any body's, group's or party's desperation to jeaopardise our already fragile situation. Follow @Princely_Suanu |

The Rivers State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, received the news of the postponement of the July 30 rerun election in Rivers State with mixed feelings. In a statement signed by APC Rivers, Publicity secretary, Chris Finebone, the party said it is huge disappointment considering that it will further deny the people parliamentary representations at both the national and state levels while the pressure on our candidates to sustain their campaigns continues apace. he furthers, "However, considering the reasons adduced by the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] for the postponement, the APC believes that had members of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] led by Gov. Nyesom Wike abandoned their official policy of resorting to violence as a tool for seeking political power, the postponement of the rerun elections would have been unnecessary. Indeed, we blame the postponement on the sustained violence and killings orchestrated by the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] in Rivers State. The latest of the string of violence the PDP has been perpetrating in the State is the burning down of INEC office in Bori last Friday morning after Gov. Nyesom Wike’s hate speech against INEC and APC leaders a few hours earlier at Okehi. Just before the March 19 rerun elections, Gov Nyesom Wike employed the use of hate speech as his battle cry, calling on his followers to stop Senator Magnus Abe. Days later, the Senator’s campaign office in Bori was bombed and burnt down. Last Thursday, Gov. Nyesom Wike was at his game once again. Speaking at his party’s Rivers East PDP campaign rally at Okehi, Etche LGA, Gov. Wike let out his usual battle cry and less than 24 hours later, those believed to be his foot soldiers bombed and burnt down the INEC office in Bori, the South-East senatorial zonal headquarters of Senator Magnus Abe. A critical look at the modus operandi of the two bombings reveal close similarities and imprints, suggesting that those responsible for the first bombing most likely undertook the latest arson on the INEC office. The APC finds it curious that as soon as the INEC facility was bombed in Bori, the most virulent critic of INEC, Gov. Nyesom Wike, turned around to offer the electoral umpire a Greek gift to the effect that INEC could relocate to the Khana Council. It does not call for any strenuous reasoning to conclude that PDP members know more than they are telling the world about the bombing of the INEC office in Bori in order to force the electoral umpire to relocate to a PDP facility. Why did Gov. Wike not provide the INEC office same security that he says the Council enjoys? The APC calls on the Inspector-General of Police, Director-General of the Department of State Services [DSS], the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command and other security agencies to diligently investigate, fish out and prosecute all those who may have a hand in the spate of killings, arson and violence in Rivers State. "Wholesome peace must be restored in Rivers State so that violence does not continue to be a reason to deny the people representation in the political milieu." saintdennis:That one is chewing gum money. In Rivers State, the least money WIKE gives to APO is 30k.PO receives 50k,SPO 100k each etc.I bet u no state or party can pay more than dis. Dnt ask me y Wike kips borrowing more money thus far |
For all those criticising this post, what wud hv bin ur response if this massive crowd of market women were to be associated with PDP and Ize-Iyamu even if they were imported from Antarctica and paid 5k each? |
Until Wicked Wike stops openly sponsoring violence and bloodshed in a once peaceful Rivers State, INEC may just be heading for a suicide mission. You remember the innocent Corper Okonta? You heard the recent unprintable words from the Rivers Thug Governor on the rerun election? Anyway, the N9billion he borrowed n distributed for this rerun is gone now. Expect him to borrow another money as soon as INEC reschedules the election. Like Rivers, Like Ekiti Its really shameful Blame it on Supreme Court Of Injustices |
The evil desperation of the pdp to win it all is the major challenge facing our democracy today. U hardly see APC protesting over any loss despite open air rigging by the PDP. Recall what happened in Bayelsa State,Rivers state and other places recently. No place has a blood oath with any given political party. if they like they should protest from now till Christ comes, APC has won all the rerun in IMO state. Infact they should prepare for more protest because Edo,Ondo and other SE and SS states hold more surprising victories. The old days are over. PDP must realise that their evil days are over. |
Sealeddeal:Is Benjamine Uwajumogu from the north? |
medpren:So you think APC will still bring up a northerner to deputise Saraki or Lawan? |
The Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha,
has said Ike Ekweremadu should be warming
up to lose his seat as the Deputy Senate
President.
Okorocha said a candidate of the All
Progressives Congress, Benjamine
Uwajumogu, who contested in the last
Saturday re-run senatorial election in Imo State
would displace Ekweremadu as soon as he
joins the Senate.
He said it would be an aberration for
Ekweremadu, of the opposition Peoples
Democratic Party, to still continue to retain his
seat as the Deputy Senate President, after
Uwajumogu had joined the Senate.
Okorocha’s Chief Press Secretary, Sam
Onwuemeodo, quoted the Imo State Governor
as saying this on Sunday night at a victory party
he organised to celebrate the outcome of the
July 23, 2016 re-run election for Okigwe zone
senatorial seat and the two state constituencies
of Oru-East and Oru-West in Imo State.
Okorocha with the outcome of the re-run
election, Ekweremadu’s seat as the Deputy
Senate President had come under “heavy
threat.”
He said Ekweremadu himself had known and
feared the possibility of losing his seat, that
was why he relocated to Imo State three days
to the re-run election.
Okorocha, however, said it had become
inevitable for Ekweremadu not to relinquish
the Depute Senate President seat to
Uwajumogu.
He said, “The position of Senator Ike
Ekweremadu as the Deputy Senate President is
at the moment under heavy threat because in
no distant time the APC senator in-waiting from
Imo State, Benjamine Uwajumogu, will take
over the seat on the grounds that it is an
aberration that a PDP senator from the South-
East is deputy to an APC Senate President
because, before now, APC could not produce a
senator from the South-East zone.
“Senator Ekweremadu had known that such a
development was not only feasible but
inevitable and that was why he fully funded the
candidate of the PDP in the re-run senatorial
poll in Okigwe zone and also relocated to the
state three days to the election date.”
Okorocha described the victory of the APC in
the re-run poll for Okigwe senatorial zone as a
victory for the whole of South-East APC in
particular and the people of the geo-political
zone in general. Source: punchng.com/ekweremadus-seat-senate-threat-says-okorocha/ |
I pull cap for Oshiomhole He is indeed a political mathematician When the APC chose a deputy from Edo North, instead of Edo Central, the PDP justified their parrotness but am sure this action will shut some of them up. On Sept.10 someone should pls tell me the result from Tom Ikini's polling unit |
The same Dr.Don Pedro Obaseki that defected from the APC to the Accord Party, claimed to have won the party's primaries, was later rejected by the party as its candidate and finally rejected by INEC? Please, PDP should enrol in Lai's Political School. Their attempt at political propaganda is always too immature and full of cheap lies. Factional PDP candidate's so-called endorsement by Don Pedro will bring him no fortune. Perhaps what has happened to the desperate governorship ambition of Don Pedro? APC has succeeded in reconciling all her other 11 governorship aspirants who are by far of greater political influence than Don Pedro. No right thinking person will take both Don Pedro and Ize-iyamu serious. Believe that PDP will win Edo State as your own health peril. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Nkenna Nzeruo, winner of the Oru East State Constituency rerun election in Imo State. The APC candidate polled 5,000 votes on Sunday to win the seat in the Imo State House of Assembly in southeast Nigeria. Meanwhile, final collation is still on going at Okigwe Local Government Area as residents await the final result from the rerun election. Major gladiators in the election, the APC and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have continued to trade blames, accusing one another of electoral malpractices and manipulations. The federal government vowed that the killers of the Ekiti-State-born preacher with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Evangelist, Eunice Elisha Olawale, in Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory will not go unpunished. President Muhamadu Buhari, represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal, made the promise during the burial service held in RCCG FCT 2 Provincial Headquarters in Kubwa. The 42-year-old mother of seven was murdered while preaching in the Gbazango - West area of Kubwa, a satellite town, in the Bwari Area Council on Saturday, July 9 2016. Meanwhile, tears flowed on Saturday at the Gudu Cemetery in the FCT, where the deceased was buried. While paying their last respect to their mother, the children of the deceased performed the ‘ash to ash’ ceremony at the cemetery and wept uncontrollably. Some sympathisers who could not hold back themselves joined them to mourn the deceased who was described as a martyr. Lawal said, “As a government, we want to inform you that all the perpetrators of this act will not go free and will be brought to book. All Nigerians should be safe and free to practice their religion anywhere. Government’s resolve is to fish out the perpetrators. We pray to God not only to forgive them, but pray that the perpetrators seek for repentance. On behalf of the President and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, may God console you. WIKE should stop sponsoring violence and bloodshed in Ogoniland. He masterminded this act,few minutes after he has sewn black garment for a visit Why is Wike so interested in Ogoni politics even at the expense of the lives, property and ethnic independence of Ogoni people. Hundreds of people were beheaded in different parts of the state yet Wike never wore black clothes to visit such places. The last time he visited Ogoniland like this was when he ordered security agencies to fish out criminals only for him to turn against his earlier statement because one of his trusted guys was touched. The next thing he did was to shift the blame to an innocent party and her senatorial candidate and instigated Ogoni people against her own very son. Wike should take his evil plots from Ogoniland He should revisit political/general history on Ogoni people. He has taken Ogoni People so long for granted If the N9billion he borrowed was purely to sponsor evil and violence in Ogoniland just to secure victory for his party ahead of the concluding part of the legislative polls, then those close to him should advise him to tread with caution. |

They had just three aspirants. The three have gone their separate ways One with Makarfi One with Sheriff One on his own for the now: APC had twelve aspirants None has either dumped the party or defected All the eleven that lost the primaries have been reconciled Believing that a shattered and battered PDP can even win half of the Edo votes is an invitation for political hypertension and heart attack. |
EXODUS 14:14 KJV "The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace". In times past, we read of how God arose and defended his people from their enemies or people who rose against them in war, just enslaved them or persecuted them for the sake of their faith. These days, events happening globally have ignited my concern to ask If God still fights for his people. Let's restrict this discuss to Nigeria, recently, there has been series of attacks on Christians especially in the north either directly or for what they termed blasphemy against Holy Prophet Muhammed. These actions have unfortunately not received any condemnation from President Buhari and His Government. Even His Pastor Vice President seems to have relinquished what he confessed as his calling just for political gains and intimidation. And because of the lacklustre attitude of this government towards deliberate or sponsored religious attacks and the inefficiency of security agencies to deal decisively with perpetrators of such crimes, its as if others have been encouraged to deliberate intolerance against Christians. And at such, I see no difference between some ordinary Muslims and Boko Haram Members, as it appears they are all fighting the same course but with different approaches. Must we continue to keep quite, fight for ourselves or wait on God to fight for us while we are continually been killed and attacked for no just reason? More recent was the brutal death of a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in a sublet of Abuja. Her sole offence was that she preached in the morning in the area. And up till now, our President, who is a Muslim acted as if he was outside the country or as if His ear problem still lingers or perhaps it has extended to his eyes. Even his vice who is a pastor and from the same church with the slain woman has showed unprecedented and unimaginable cowardice in the face of these unjustifiable provocations. As if that wasn't enough, just this Friday, a church was attacked and all their properties destroyed. What was their offence? They worshipped on a Friday, which Muslims have now monopolised as their worship day. I am particularly pained about the death of this woman because she died in active service and the news of her death raised lots of questions and consciousness on my mind. As Christians, we believe that God is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscience; meaning God was there when they were killing her, God was powerful enough to have saved her from that unfortunate end, and that God knew about their plan and mobilisation to kill her. But why did God allow it to happen? Could it be that that's the way God has planned her own end to be? On the other hand, I begin to wonder if this would have also been the case if it had been any of the other men of God that we so much respect and adore. For instance, ENOCH ADEBOYE DAVID OYEDEPO TUNDE BAKARE MATHEW ASHIMOLOWO WILLIAM KUMUYI CHRIS OKOTIE CHRIS OYAKHILOME ANTHONY OKOGIE PETER AKINOLA EMMANUEL OLUMIDE CHARLES OSUEKE UMAH UKPAI WILSON BADEJO CARDINAL ARINZE FATHER MBAKA FATHER EDE TAIWO ODUKOYA D.K. OLUKOYA LAZARUS MUOKA MARGARET IDAHOSA S. AYORINDE SAM AMAGA SAM ADEYEMI ANSELM MADUBUKO REV EZEKIEL MIKE OKONKWO NKECHI ILOPUTAIFE WALE OKE EMMANUEL KURE AYO ORITSEJAFOR BIMBO ODUKOYA PATRICK ANWUZIA PRINCE DAVID ZILLY-AGGREY LAWRENCE OSAGIE DAVID IBIYEOMI TUNDE JODA HELEN UKPABIO Would God have also allowed them to die that way? And would they have even taken the risk to go to such dangerous areas to preach in the odd hours of the morning? What will then become the final fate of that woman? Will she end in heaven on the last day as a reward for dying this way for Christ? Or we should leave that to God alone? Hmmmmm, anyway I think we must be careful in what we do because its my opinion that no matter what happens God will remain God and the world may simply not end just because of the action or death of any individual, even the death of Jesus Christ never ended the world. Religion without sense is absolute foolishness. Most importantly, our Muslim brothers and sisters must stop this intolerance and unwarranted attacks on Christians afterall no religion has a monopoly of violence. Our leaders must also speak and take actions when necessary, all lives matter afterall, otherwise we shall soon plunge this country/world into an unending violence that may lead to the final extinction of the human race. We must preach PEACE We must preach TOLERANCE We must value HUMAN LIVES We mustn't superimpose our RELIGION on others. Finally, Does God Still Fight For His People?

NSA Uncovers 29 Ghost Workers, N4billion Fraud Within The Presidency The Office of the National Security Adviser has uncovered a major fraud involving 29 ghost workers. The ghost workers, have over the years received salaries and emoluments totalling N4 billion. The NSA, Major General Babagana Monguno (rtd) uncovered the fraud after a directive by President Muhammadu Buhari. “A security audit and verification exercise ordered by the President uncovered these can of worms in Aso Rock,” a source told The Eagle Online. “The verification exercise showed that about 29 ghost security personnel have been on security pay roll in the Presidency over the years. “The N4 billion was part of the N6.5 billion voted for security personnel and logistics in the Presidency. The NSA, who considered the N6.5 billion as outrageous, insisted that it be reduced. “He subsequently brought the figure down to N2 billion. It was a move commended and approved by the President. “A particular security agency delayed their auditing and verification for six months before releasing its personnel for the exercise few days ago. “Interestingly, under the N6.5 fraudulent budget regime, junior security personnel in the Presidency received N18,000 per month, while senior personnel were entitled to N35,000 only, with no form of welfare packages. “Currently, under the supervision of Monguno, with a realistic budget of N2 billion being effectively deployed to the general benefit and welfare of men and women saddled with the responsibility of the safety and security in the Presidency, the junior security personnel, who were paid N18,000 under the N6.5 billion budget regime, now enjoy a minimum of N80,000, while the senior personnel, who received N35,000 then, now collect a minimum of N150,000, including other benefits”, he disclosed. The source added that under the new security budget regime, a middle level cadre had been introduced into the security architecture, with those in this category receiving a minimum of N100,000 monthly as allowance aside other benefits. Under this arrangement, N80,000, N85,000 and N90,000 go to junior, middle and senior cadres respectively. Monguno, it was gathered, has also introduced Departmental allowances to discourage any form of corruption and mismanagement of security fund. It shall be electrifying and unprecedented. It will convincingly indicate where the pendulum will finally fling. Its Godwin Obaseki or Godwin Obaseki Be part of history tomorrow. The Rivers State House Of Loans Approval has again granted the usual wicked request of Gov.Nyesom Wike to borrow another N9Billion from Zenith Bank (Gov.Fayose's election sponsoring bank). Recall that the concluding part of the rerun elections in Rivers state is scheduled to hold on July 30th and the Governor has also promised amnesty for his prodigal boys that have so far beheaded over 200 persons in the state. Recall also that barely three weeks ago, he borrowed N14.6 billion. From May 29,2015, Gov.Wike has borrowed over N130Billion within intervals not exceeding three weeks with federal allocation and IGR amounting to over N238.7Billion. Meaning workers and pensioners are still owed till date ranging from six, seven to even a year now, yet He isn't bothered. This is what the NEW Rivers Vision is all about under Wike. Rivers State hasn't had it this bad in recent times. #PrayForRiversState Source: nigerianpilot.com/rivers-assembly-approves-new-n9bn-loan-wike/
