PoliticsI Was Appointed S.A To Gov Dickson Before My Arrest -bank Robbery Suspect by suasmablow(op): 10:30am On Jun 08, 2016
A 27-year-old notorious bank robbery
suspect, Ikadoi Isere, alias White Witch, who was
arrested recently by operative of the Inspector-
General of Police Special Intelligence Response
Team, IRT, stunned Crime Alert during an
exclusive interview by
disclosing that he was appointed a Special
Adviser to Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake
Dickson, on Oil and Gas matters, prior to his
arrest.
A native of Nembe Local Government
Area of Bayelsa State, the suspect was arrested
alongside two others;
Daniel Gogo, aka Full- Payment and Ifeanyi Kalu.
They were accused
of participating in no fewer than 15 bank and
bullion van robbery and kidnappings across
Port-Harcourt, Rivers State and some South
East States.
Police sources disclosed that three Ak47 rifles, a
Lar rifle, 360 rounds of live ammunitions, 20
magazines, five dynamites, two pistols, a rifle
servicing equipment and three exotic cars, were
recovered from the
suspects after their hideouts were raided in
Bayelsa State.
N400m Loot
The source who spoke on the condition of
anonymity stated; “White Witch and members of
his gang had killed over 20 policemen and made
away with their rifles in separate robbery
operations within Port-Harcourt City, between
2012 and 2016.” He described the gang as one of
the city’s most dreaded
robbery gangs, identifying, Daniel Gogo, who is
popularly known as Full-Payment, as the leader.
The source further disclosed that having
gathered credible intelligence on the gang’s
activities between 2012 and 2016, operatives
trailed them to Bayelsa State, where they
were arrested and large catch of arms and
ammunitions were recovered from them.
They reportedly confessed during
interrogations that they made over
N400million from robbing several banks and
bullion vans, including kidnappings of prominent
businessmen, civil servants and oil
workers across Port-Harcourt.
Confession of gang leader
The leader of the gang, Gogo alias Full-Payment,
told Crime Alert that he invested a large chunk of
his share of the loot in setting up a local oil
refinery within the creeks of Bayelsa State, while
his patner, Isere, alias White Witch, stated that
he invested a large share of his loots on his
siblings, wife and his aged mother. He added
that he also used
some in sponsoring the Peoples Democratic
Party, PDP, at the last General Election in
Bayelsa State.
He explained that he mobilized people to vote
for PDP and used the gang’s rifles to protect
electoral materials during the last Governorship
Election at Nembe Local Government Area of the
State. White Witch told Crime Alert that he
joined the gang in 2010, when one of his elder
brothers who is a member of Vikings
Confraternity, linked him
to the gang leader called Full-Payment, in Port-
Harcourt.
“I am a member of Icelander Confraternity and I
am the executioner in-charge of Nembe Local
Government Area of Bayelsa State. My elder
brother IJB, who is
also a member of Vikings linked me to my boss,
Full-Payment, who is also a member of Vikings
and he asked him to assist me.
He accepted and brought me into the gang. At
that time, I was highly frustrated because after I
finished learning underwater welding through
the Presidential Amnesty Program, I
had no job. I wasn’t getting the complete
amount from the stipend given to ex-militants of
the Niger
Delta. Before the money will get to me, it has
gone through several persons and when I will
receive mine, it will remain only N20, 000.
There was nothing I could do with such an
amount. I have a wife and children to fend for
and my siblings are still in school and they are
looking up to me.
Our First Operation
“ The first operation I went with the gang was at
Uguruta Junction on the Port-Harcourt
International Airport Road. We attacked some
vehicles conveying a huge sum of money in
foreign currency. We killed all the
policemen escorting them including a man the
police identified as the Regional Manager of the
bank where the money came from.
After that operation, I was given N3million as my
share and when I got home, I gave my sister
who had already dropped out of school some
money to go back to school. I also gave some
money to my younger brother who was also in
school. I used part of it to establish a little
business for my wife.
Another Operation
“Seven months after that operation, my boss
told me that there was a job for us at a bank in
Trans-Amadi in Port-Harcourt. We were five
persons who went for that operation and
our target was a bullion van offloading money
into the bank. Two members of our gang walked
into the bank like customers who wanted to
make use of the ATM, with short
guns and shot into the air when they got close to
a point where the bullion van was.
The people offloading the money absconded.
We drove our car into the bank and carted away
a large sum of money which our vehicle could
carry since we came with just one car.
At the end our operation, I got N12million as my
share. My boss and others who are seniors in
the gang got lion share.
Time To Quit
“After that operation, my boss told us that he
was quitting and everyone should go and look
for what to do with their money. When I got
home, I bought a car, rented a big apartment
and I decided to go into politics. My boss also
told me that he wanted to set up a local refinery
so I linked him to one of my uncles who was also
into such business. Before the 2015 election, I
and my boss had meetings with some of the
political heavy weights in Nembe Local
Government and we offered to
work for them during the election.
To show them that I was serious, we assured
that we were going to bring out our arms,
ammunition and money to support them and
they promised to give me pipeline surveillance
contract in my area. But one month before the
election, I became very broke and my boss has
also invested all his money into his local refinery
business, we were left with no other option than
to go for
one more operation.
Back To Base- Another Operation
“ Our informant, one Promise Barisisia, who had
once worked in a bank, alerted us about a
bullion van that would supply money to a bank
at the main Campus of Rivers State
University of Science and Technology, UST. We
trailed a van supplying money to the bank and
we shot into the air to scare both the policemen,
bank security men and workers around the bank
and they absconded leaving the bullion van
open. We carted away a large sum of money
which our vehicle could carry.
Encounter with the police
“On our way out of the campus, we passed
through the back gate but unknown to us, there
were policemen hiding inside the bush. When I
stepped out of the vehicle to open the gate, I
was shot on the leg, but my boss came out and
gave me a cover. We shot the gate open and
escaped. But the policemen kept on chasing us.
They shot at the boot of our vehicle and one of
the bags
containing some of the money we stole fell off
and the policemen also deflated three of our
tires. We stopped another vehicle and
transferred all our goods into the new vehicle
and escaped. I was given N6 million as my share
of the loot and I used part of it to treat
my bullet wound.
Time For Election
“When it was time for election, we brought in
lots of boys, from Rivers, Delta and Imo States to
work for PDP, Bayelsa State and we paid them
with our own money. After the election, I was
appointed a Personal Assistant
to the Chairman of Nembe Local Government
Area, who gave me a Toyota Hilux van with a
government plate number. I was also linked
to the Bayelsa State Deputy Governor.
By October of that same year, some of our gang
members became very broke and they called on
my boss, Full-Payment, asking him to allow them
do one last job which would
fetch us enough money to enable us quit
robbery, completely. Our informant told us that
money was to be supplied to a bank on Trans-
Amadi Road Port-Harcourt.
......Yet Another Operation
“On the day of the operation, we stormed the
bank with three SUVs and when the bullion van
arrived to supply money, we attacked it by
shooting into the air to scare people away.
The bank was close to a police station and the
police had blocked the route in front of their
station. My boss who had a highlander drove in
first and we loaded his vehicle with huge sums
of money and when he was about
leaving, we discovered that some soldiers had
blocked the route we intended to escape
through.
Then, my boss decided to escape through a very
narrow road linking him to Mummy B Road, but
unknown to him, some policemen had already
laid ambush and he drove into
it. He was shot on the thigh and his driver, one
Kennedy, was also shot and their vehicle came
to a halt. I was behind him in another vehicle
when this happened and I quickly
approached him and rescued my boss. We
abandoned the vehicle and all the money in it.
The next day in the news, I read that the police
recovered N350million from us.
Time To Finally Quit
“That operation was a huge loss and my boss
vowed never to participate in any robbery
activity again. In December, when the
governorship election came, I was given
N3million by PDP and I brought in my boys
and we worked for them. We ensured that all
electoral materials were intact and we prevented
people from the opposition party from snatching
ballot boxes.
We also had some policemen working for us
during that election. Between January and
February, 2016, While I was waiting for PDP to
fulfil the promises they made to me, and my
boss was still nursing his injury, I took our rifles
from Bayelsa State with the government Hilux
van that was given to me and police escort and
organized our boys.
Operation With Government Vehicles
“We attempted to rob two bullion vans, one was
at Agip Junction by Ada-Gorge Road and the
other was at Emenike Junction on Ikwere
Road, Port-Harcourt. We failed in those
operations but our informant, Promise, brought
a job at Fidelity bank and warned that we must
not allow the Operation Manager of the bank to
leave the bank if we must succeed. We attacked
the bank around 4pm.
We accosted the woman while she was about
leaving the bank and we took her back into the
bank. We blew up the security doors, and shot
indiscriminately to scare people. At the end of
the operation, we retrieved the RDV from the
CCTV recording machine to avoid our faces
being detected. We returned to
Bayelsa State with the government Hilux leading
the way. We made N24million from that
operation and I got N4million as my share.
Arrest At Last
“Two weeks before my arrest, I was been
shortlisted as a Special Adviser to Bayelsa State
Governor, and we were waiting for him to return
from his trip abroad so that he would swear us
into our various offices. I did not know that the
police got
to know about my activities. I was
shocked when they trailed me to my
house and arrested me and I took them to my
boss and he was arrested too. They recovered
our arms and ammunition,” he
lamented.

PoliticsEx-a’ibom Commissioner Dumps PDP For APC by suasmablow(op): 9:17am On Jun 07, 2016
A former Commissioner of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), for Akwa Ibom, Mr Imaobong Inyang, on Monday dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for the All Progressives Congress (APC). Inyang decamped to the APC in his ward in Esit Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom alongside his numerous supporters in the area. He explained that he had been a progressive all along despite finding himself in the PDP and he formally declares for the APC because “Change is a part of life”. “I have looked closely and realised that there are no two ways about the situation on ground, so I have decided to join hands in moving this nation to a better future through the APC,’’ he said. He assured his numerous supporters of a better future and called on them to remain loyal to the party and donated token for the upkeep of the party office. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the erstwhile NDDC Commissioner was presented to members of APC ward 10, Esit Eket by the party leader in Eket Federal Constituency. Speaking, Dr. Emem Wills, the leader of Eket Federal Constituency commended the bold steps taken by Inyang to “dump a sinking boat on time’’. Wills noted that Inyang’s declaration to the APC was a further indication that PDP would lose Akwa Ibom for APC come 2019 general elections. “Mr Inyang is a grass root politician with a massive followership as we can all see today, his decision to dump a sinking boat on time is a further indication that PDP is losing grip in the country,’’ he said. In his remarks, Elder Emmanuel Oton, Eket Senatorial District leader of the party, said the former NDDC Commissioner was a strong political material for any elective position. Oton said that Inyang possesses pedigree and track records and the astute politician was highly welcomed to the party.

PoliticsAPC Slams Fayose For “mocking” Workers On Strike by suasmablow(op): 7:47pm On Jun 05, 2016
The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has accused Governor Ayodele Fayose of mocking workers by declaring a solidarity strike for them.

Public workers in the state are on strike over five months unpaid salaries among other contentious issues.

The APC in a statement by its state Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, on Sunday said his statement portrayed him as an “unserious leader not prepared for the challenges of governance,” and who had turned a serious business of governance to ‘a moonlight drama’.”

Berating Fayose for mocking the civil servants by declaring strike in solidarity with Ekiti workers, Olatunbosun said his action spoke much about his personality as “a man bereft of finesse to be entrusted with the leadership of the people for development.”

Describing Fayose’s conduct as a height of insensitivity of a callous leader, Olaunbosun said, “Fayose’s self-imposed strike could not have been in solidarity with Ekiti workers, but a mockery of their present suffering caused by him and which he obviously enjoys.

“Fayose’s lies, inhuman and reckless statement on television that he cannot sell his children to pay salary is an acceptance of failure, so he should resign from that position.

“There is starvation in the state over failure to pay salary, which has made workers’ conditions so bad that some of them have resorted to stealing from neighbours before they can eat.

“Thieves are all over the place carting away foods in the process of cooking in the kitchen, while raw foods and soup ingredients, such as yams, garri, tomatoes, pepper, parcels of ‘eba’ are being stolen by hungry Ekiti people.

“How many Ekiti workers can afford to send their children to any of the secondary schools in Ekiti which Fayose has heavily taxed, let alone sending them to the highbrow schools that Fayose’s children attend abroad? This is very wicked and inhuman.”

Olatunbosun, while accusing Fayose of taking N250m security vote monthly, advised him to emulate other governors facing similar challenges by engaging workers with honesty and frankness needed.”

He added, “Fayose believes in employing lies to deceive Ekiti workers with bloated salary figures and distorted federal allocations and IGR profile.”

Christianity EtcRe: Kano Killing: Urgent Questions For Muslims by suasmablow(op): 1:33pm On Jun 05, 2016
kiuusm:
All Muslims condemn that and here is your answer.. Please read from beginning to the end

The general answer to blasphemy (Sabb ala Allah wa Rasulihi) as commanded in the Qur’an is to respond with patience, beautiful preaching, and graceful avoidance. The Qur’an records the fact that the Prophet was called a “sorcerer,” a “madman,” and a “liar,” yet Allah commanded him to be patient and to increase his acts of worship.
Allah Said:
Be patient over what they say and avoid them with gracious avoidance.” (Surah Al-Muzzamil 73:10)
And Allah said:
“So be patient over what they say and exalt with the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting.” (Surah Qaf 50:39)

And Allah said:
So be patient over what they say and exalt with the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting.” (Surah Ta Ha 20:130)
These insults deeply hurt the feelings of the Prophet and his Companions, but Allah did not prescribe revenge for them.
Allah said:
We already know that your heart is constrained by what they say, so glorify the praises of your Lord and be among those who prostrate.” (Surah Al-Hijr 15:97-98)
In fact, Allah told the Prophet and his Companions to expect more insults and mockery from the followers of other religions, and that they should remain patient and not let their abuse shake their faith.
Allah said:
“You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves, and you will surely hear from those who were given the scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allah that is of the matters requiring resolve.” (Surah Ali Imran 3:186)
In other verses, Allah commands the believers to simply avoid those who mock Islam and not to sit with them until they discuss something else.

Allah said:
When you see those who engage in offensive discourse concerning our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversion.” (Surah Al-An’am 6:68)
And Allah said:
“It has already been revealed to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah, they are denied and ridiculed. So do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Verily, you would then be like them.” (Surah An-Nisa 4:140)
Generally, the Prophet was commanded to endure any insult or mockery from his enemies which resulted from their bad character.
Allah said:
“Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant.” (Surah Al-A’raf 7:199)
Abdullah ibn Zubair explained this verse, saying:
“The Prophet was commanded to forgive the people’s bad character.” (Sunan Abu Dawud 4787)
There are many recorded incidents in the life of the Prophet in which he was mocked, defamed, and even physically attacked for his faith in Islam, but despite this abuse the Prophet responded with patience, forbearance, mercy, and forgiveness.

In one incident, a group of Jews insulted the Prophet in his own home. Although the Prophet was the leader of Madinah at the time, he did not order these men to be harmed. Rather, he used the incident to teach his Companions an important lesson about kindness.
Aisha reported:
“A group of Jews asked permission to visit the Prophet and when they were admitted they said, “Death be upon you.” I said to them, “Rather death and the curse of Allah be upon you!” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “O Aisha, Allah is kind and He loves kindness in all matters.” I said, “Have you not heard what they said?” The Prophet said: “I said to them: And upon you.” (Sahih Bukhari 6528).
Al-Bukhari records this narration in his chapter regarding those who curse and abuse the Prophet, which strongly implies that he did not believe legal punishment should be applied to every case of blasphemy.
Badr ud-Din Al-Ayni, a scholar of the Hanafi School, comments on this chapter heading:
“Al-Bukhari has adopted the method of the people of Kufi on this issue, that if someone curses or berates the Prophet and he is a non-Muslim citizen, then he is rebuked but he is not killed. This is the opinion of Ath-Thawri.” (Umdat al-Qari fi Sharh Sahih Al-Bukhari 34/412).
In another incident, the Prophet was defamed and insulted by one of the men of Madinah who was upset with his method of distributing charity. The Prophet did not retaliate against him even though he was very disturbed by it, citing the fact that Musa (Moses), peace be upon him, was harmed by his people with much greater abuse.
Ibn Mas’ud reported:
“The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was distributing charity among the people when a man from the Ansar said, “By Allah, Muhammad did not intend to please Allah with this distribution!” I came to the Prophet and informed him about this, then anger could be seen on his face and the Prophet said: “Moses was hurt with more than this, yet he remained patient.” (Sahih Bukhari)
Indeed, it was the practice of all the Prophets to patiently endure the harm they received from their people, even to the point of asking Allah to forgive their oppressors.
Allah said:
“They said: We will surely be patient with whatever harm you cause us, and let them rely on who would rely upon Allah.” (Surah Ibrahim 14:12)
Ibn Mas’ud reported:
“I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, tell the story of a Prophet who was beaten by his people and he wiped the blood from his face, saying: “My Lord, forgive my people for they do not know.” (Sahih Bukhari 6530)
An-Nawawi comments on this narration, saying:
“In this is what the Prophets, peace and blessings be upon them, were upon of forbearance, patience, forgiveness, and compassion for their people, their supplications for them to receive guidance and to be forgiven, and that they should be excused for their sins because they did not know.” (Sharh Sahih Muslim 1792)
The Prophet continued to set this example throughout his life, even to the point of forgiving several people who tried to kill him.
In one incident, a woman came to the Prophet and fed him with a poisoned sheep. When the Prophet began to suffer and it was discovered what she had done, the companions asked him if they should kill her. In this case, it would have been a justified retaliation against attempted murder, but the Prophet pardoned her instead.
Anas ibn Malik reported:
“A Jewish woman came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, with a poisoned sheep and he ate from it. She was brought to him and he asked her about it. She said, “”I wanted to kill you.” The Prophet said: “Allah has given you no authority over me.” It was said, “Should we kill her?” The Prophet said: No.” (Sahih Bukhari 2474)
In another incident, a man from an opposing tribe attempted to kill the Prophet while he was sleeping. Allah miraculously saved the Prophet by causing the man’s hand to slip, after which the Prophet gained power him. Even so, in this position of strength the Prophet continued to show clemency.
Jabir reported:
“We took part in the expedition with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, against Najd and when the time for afternoon rest approached, he was in a valley of thorny trees. He dismounted under a tree to rest in its shade and hung his sword upon it. The people dispersed among the trees in order to use their shade. While we were like this, the Prophet called us and we came to find a Bedouin sitting in front of him. The Prophet said: “This person came to me while I was asleep and he quietly took my sword. I woke up while he was standing over my head, holding my unsheathed sword. He said: Who will protect you from me? I said three times: Allah.” Jabir said: “The Prophet did not punish him and he sat down.” (Sahih Bukhari 2753)
In another narration, the Prophet said to the man:
“Will you bear witness that there is no God but Allah and I am the Messenger of Allah”? The man said, “No, but I give you my word that I will not fight you and I will not join anyone who is fighting you.” So the Prophet let him go. The man returned to his people and said: “I have just come to you from the best of people!” (Musnad Ahmad 14768)
The man was impressed by the Prophet’s character so much that he returned to his people and praised him. This is an excellent example of how mercy and forgiveness are among the best deeds for winning the hearts and minds to Islam.
In one of the most famous incidents, the Prophet finally gained power over his enemies after being persecuted for 23 years. He could have easily ordered their execution and the companions would have complied. However, the Prophet used this moment to teach the lesson of mercy just as Yusuf (Joseph), peace be upon him, had forgiven his brothers.
Al-Qasim ibn Salim reported:
“When they came to the Ka’bah they were holding onto its door and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “What do you say? What do you think”? They said three times, “We say you are the son of our brother.” The Prophet said: “I say to you as Joseph said to his brothers: No blame upon you today. Allah will forgive you and He is the most merciful of the merciful.” (12:92)
Abu Yusuf reported:
“When they had gathered in front of the sacred Mosque, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “What do you think I will do with you”? They said, “Only good, O noble brother, son of a noble brother.” The Prophet said: “Go, you are free.” (Sunan Al-Kubra of al-Bayhaqi 17714).
All of this evidence indicates the general rule that Muslims should respond to blasphemy with patience, forbearance, and graceful discussion. We need to behave in the serene manner of the Prophet as well as publish articles, set up websites, and otherwise spread authentic information about his life and teachings.

Christianity EtcKano Killing: Urgent Questions For Muslims by suasmablow(op): 12:42pm On Jun 05, 2016
There seems to be mixed reactions from Muslims in Nigeria after the beheading of an Igbo Christian woman based in the Kano over alleged blasphemy against Holy Prophet Muhammed.
Few are condemning it, while what appears to be in the majority are supporting it either directly or indirectly.
Be it as it may, I want Muslims here to answer the following questions;
1. what amounts to blasphemy in Islam?
2. what is the right punishment for blasphemy? 3. who is to execute the punishment?
4. if a Muslim blasphemes, is he subjected to the same punishment?
5.Is there any condition for pardon in a case of blasphemy?

PoliticsFayose Declares Solidarity Strike With Workers by suasmablow(op): 6:57pm On Jun 04, 2016
Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has embarked on an indefinite strike in solidarity with public workers in the state who are on strike over unpaid five months salaries. The governor made the declaration in Ado Ekiti in a broadcast on the state owned television in Ekiti State. In the broadcast, the governor disclosed that he had paid the January salary of local government workers, primary school teachers and subventions to tertiary institutions in the state. Public workers had on May 26 began an industrial action to press home for the payment of their salaries. Labour unions also shunned a meeting called by the state government, citing insecurity of their lives and properties owing to an anti- workers protest by drivers unions in the state. They were also irked by Fayose’s statement that he won’t sell his family to pay workers. The governor in the broadcast said he had been truthful in what he declared as the internally generated revenue and the N2.6b workers’ wage bill. Fayose said, “I want to tell workers that I have placed myself on indefinite strike in solidarity with you. I share your pains, but it was rather unfortunate that a man can’t give what he doesn’t have. “I have told you the true position of the finances of the state, of which you had played critical roles in allocation of federal allocations to relevant sectors which shows how well I had carried you along since the dwindling revenue to the state commenced. “During my first term, I mean, 2003 to 2006, I used to pay salary of workers by 21st of every month. But the present situation is very unfortunate and we have to learn how to live with it until the country wriggle out of it and things will change for better. “I want to say that I will be expecting you back to your offices when you are ready to return to work. I shall be expecting you, because presently I am handicapped and there is nothing I can do. “But before then, I have placed myself on indefinite strike in solidarity with your course. But I appeal that you put the interest of the state above everything, because the present position affects everybody,” Fayose said.

PoliticsPresident Buhari Condemns Killing Of Igbo Woman In Kano by suasmablow(op): 5:56pm On Jun 04, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari has
described the killing of Mrs Bridget
Agbahime, an Igbo market woman in Kano, as
sad and regrettable.
This is contained in a statement issued in
Abuja on Saturday by the president’s Special
Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi
Adesina.
It said Buhari condoled with the husband of
the deceased, Pastor Mike Agbaheme, the
family and relations, praying that God would
give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
The statement commended the law
enforcement agents for apprehending the
prime suspect in the killing.
It also commended the Kano State
Government for summoning a meeting of
Christian and Islamic leaders, widower of the
deceased, and security agencies, as soon as
the sad event occurred.
``The president assured that justice would
be done in the matter, and urged the people
not to take the law into their hands.
``He charged those who might want to use
the development to fan the embers of
religious or ethnic hatred to remember that
two wrongs never make a right.
``When law and order breaks down, those
who become victims are never distinguished
on the basis of religion or ethnicity.’’
It stated that the incident at Kofar Wambai
market, Kano city, was utterly condemnable,
and the state government has been quite
proactive.
``Let us ensure that we keep the peace, as
justice will be done. Let us learn to respect
each other's faith, so that we can know each
other and live together in peace’’, the
President said in the statement.
The late Bridget Agbaheme, a mother of one,
was murdered for alleged blasphemy against
Islam.

I'm not a fan of Wike or any politician but anyone in PH or Rivers can attest to the fact that Wike is making us of the loan. Nothing is wrong in taking loans for capital projects. And his achievement in road project is impressive. However, I have little issue with the quality of the road especially the open cutter system couple with our maintanance culture. The quality of the road is low especially when compared with Ameachi. But it's understandable, the state revenue has drop drastically. He should improve the quality of the roads.

In summary, the guy is trying and nothing is wrong with borrowing for capital projects
Is that how other governors develop their states?
Borrowing atleast N8.5billion every week?
Do you know how many capital projects over a N100billion could have gotten for Rivers State?
compare the few roads he has repaired with the amount he has borrowed outside the Federal allocation and IGR of over N9billion every month, then u will understand my position better

PoliticsGov.wike Takes Another N10billion Loan by suasmablow(op):
Barely two weeks after securing N10Billion loan to sponsor the botched National Convention of the PDP in Portharcourt, the Rivers State Capital, the state Governor, Barr.Nyesom Wike has been reported to have taken another N10Billion loan granted by his boys in the state house of assembly.
This will make it N20billion in less than three weeks.
The reason for this latest loan isn't clear. However feelers from political spheres in portharcourt has it that the Governor is using the recently flagged-off Saakpenwa/Bori Road project as the new excuse.
It may interest you to know that only N100million is said to have been budgeted for the over 15km road in the secret 2016 budget of the Rivers State.
Those who are familiar with Rivers Politics should please help us calculate how much worth of loans that the Governor has taken in less that 13months in office.
Imagine what the debt profile of Rivers State must have been by the end this administration in 2019

According to the recommendations of the United nation report on ogoni the waters should be clean up, infrastructural develelopmen, health of the ogoni people should also be taking care of.

The Buhari clean up is vague we only hear they want to clean ogoni without any document on how they will go about it that's why the reasons below proof is a scam

No provision for the clean up in 2016 budget
Amechi said the government budget 1 billion dollars for it, where will they get the money from
Are they building the road, hospital and other social amenities in ogoni
No detailed blue print of what the clean up is all about apart from media hype
The state governor is not involve in it

To the best of my knowledge the apc government just want to extend lawma operation to ogoni land by employing jobless youth and give the contract to some apc big men to pay the boys peasant

If a apc could not fulfill any of the promises they have in their documented manisfesto how can they clean ogoni land
I am from Ogoni, I am well informed and I won't allow your likes to misinform the public on the much desired political will demonstrated by the Buhari Govt to clean up Ogoniland.
You need to expand your knowledge by researching on a given topic properly before rushing to post something in a public domain.
This your ignorance would have been cured if only u had spared few minutes to listen to the Minister of Environment yesterday explaining this very issue on NTA's Goodmorning Nigeria Show.
Anyway, You can visit their youtube page, watch it repeatedly, then come over here to openly apologise to all those affected by this your ill-motivated post.
Wike is the scammer here.
Few days ago he rushed to flag-off the Saakpenwa-Bori-Kono road. This is a road that we don't know if it has been awarded, at what cost and to which company. Simply because our 2016 budget still remains a secret document at the Ogboni supreme temple.
PoliticsShould Buhari Appoint Jonathan, As Special Envoy To Niger Delta? by suasmablow(op): 4:15pm On Jun 02, 2016
A Socio-Political group, Assembly of Concern Niger Delta People, has appealed to President
Muhammadu Buhari to appoint his predecessor, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, as special envoy to Niger Delta.
The National Coordinator of the group, Eperemor Governor, made the appeal in a statement on Thursday in Benin.
According to Governor, the appointment will help to reduce the present hostility by the Niger Delta Avengers, which has been responsible
for the blowing-up of oil installations in the region.
He said as an indigene of the area, and former governor of Bayelsa State, the former president would help to bridge the gap between the region and the Federal Government.

PoliticsEx-governor Sheriff To Court: I Remain PDP Chairman by suasmablow(op): 9:29am On Jun 02, 2016
The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken a new turn, with Senator Ali Modu Sheriff telling the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt that he remains the chairman. He described the “Caretaker Committee” headed by Senator Ahmed Makarfi as a group of “usurpers” and a “contraption” that was set up in defiance of valid court orders. According to certified court processes made available to reporters in Lagos through his lawyer, Ajibola Oluyede, Sheriff is praying the court to hold that only he can preside over a convention or meeting where party leaders could be chosen. PDP sued Sherriff, Prof Adewale Oladipo (who was PDP National Secretary), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the Department of State Services (DSS) before Justice I. Liman. The judge had restrained Sherriff and Oladipo from parading themselves as chairman, secretary or members of the National Executive Committee or National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP until the suit is determined. But, Sheriff and Oladipo, in a motion on notice dated May 27, said those who sued them in PDP’s name lacks “the authority and locus” to institute the suit on the party’s behalf. They are also praying the court to discharge the ex-parte order restraining them from holding their offices. According to them, Justice Liman made the order on May 24, which is 12 days after Justice Ibrahim Buba of the court’s Lagos Division had restrained the party from conducting elections into offices of national chairman, national secretary and national auditor. Sheriff and Oladipo are praying the court to hold that by a community reading of the Section 223 of the 1999 Constitution and Articles 33(1) (a) and 35(1) of the PDP Constitution, only they are empowered to chair and preside over the party’s convention and all meetings through which available national offices can be filled. They said “the illegal contraption they call ‘caretaker committee’” was set up in violation of three orders made by judges of the court. “The so-called caretaker committee or any other person acting under its authority is an aberration under the PDP Constitution and was constituted in breach of the mandatory provisions of Section 223 and 224 of the 1999 Constitution and has no capacity to institute this action in the name of the PDP,” said Sheriff and Oladipo. Sheriff and Oladipo urged the court to dismiss the suit filed against them for being an abuse of court process. “In our humble submission, in view of the fact that persons behind the institution of this action were appointed in defiance of valid orders of this honourable court, this action is tainted with illegality and it is trite that no cause of action can be founded on illegality,” they said. According to them, PDP is a corporate entity and can only be “invoked” by the National Executive Committee, of which they (Sheriff and Oladipo) are principal officers. “In the instant case, however, it is clear that this action cannot be for the corporate interest of the PDP when the officers of the National Executive Committee are being sued as defendants in this action, by which the usurpers are seeking to validate their illegitimate claim to power. “This suit cannot, therefore, be sustained in the name of the PDP…We humbly urge this honourable court to reject the plan of these lawless individuals to cause confusion and thereby benefit from their illegality, by dismissing this action,” they prayed. According to Sheriff and Oladipo, the PDP NWC, which is still under their control, did not instruct anyone to file the action on the party’s behalf. They said only the NWC is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the PDP and has the authority to institute or instruct anyone to file a suit in the party’s name. “The NWC of the PDP did not authorise or delegate the authority to institute this instant suit. “In a desperate bid to confer authority upon themselves, to invoke the corporate personality of the PDP, the individuals, namely Senators Ahmed Makarfi and Ben Obi, who instituted this instant action in the name of the PDP committed several illegalities in order to establish the illegal contraption they call the ‘caretaker committee’, which they believe entitles them to invoke the corporate personality of the PDP,” they said. They accused the plaintiffs of “conspiratorial and criminal contempt of the court by devising means of defeating the purpose and intendment of the interlocutory injunction made by Justice Ibrahim Buba.” But, the party instead appointed the caretaker committee in Port Harcourt. Sheriff and Oladipo are praying the court to dismiss the suit for being an “illegality” and vacate all orders made.

PoliticsAmerican Judge Joins Ondo Governorship Race by suasmablow(op): 6:17pm On Jun 01, 2016
A Nigerian-born United States of American judge, Mr. Dele Alade, has declared his intention to contest the forthcoming Ondo State governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress. Alade declared that he joined the race not as a neophyte, but as one who has the key to turn around the economic situation of the state. The American judge, who spoke with our correspondent in Akure, the Ondo State on Wednesday about his ambition to contest the November 2016 election in the state, said his desire was to help the younger ones in the state develop and enjoy a bright future. He noted that the present Peoples Democratic Party’s administration in the state had failed the people, stressing that the APC had what it takes to take the state to the next level. The New York-based judge said as a legal practioner, he also participated in the Nigerian politics through his membership of different political associations in the USA which included the Alliance for Democracy where he was a national secretary in the United States. He said, “This is a mission to rescue the masses out of poverty, though it is not an easy task but this is a mission to rescue the masses from the corrupt leaders. Attention will be specifically focused on youth empowerment, and the state will be repositioned as the number one cocoa producer in the country and the world.” He promised to run an all-inclusive government saying, “I pledge to govern with the fear of God which shall enable me entrench the core values of equity, fairness, transparency, honesty, accountability, selflessness, forgiveness, reconciliation, peace and unity while running an all-inclusive administration.”
