I am 26, a Microbiology graduate, presently undergoing my NYSC. I have been planning to put in for medicine immediately after my service easy (Direct entry). Pls what advice do u have to render your Boy. Should I continue or i should go in search of job after the service, as age is no longer by my side and I am from a poor family that virtually most are expecting from me. Pls push this to front page for reasonable opinions.

I finished my secondary school in year 2000, my parents are not rich to even register me for jamb. I have two friends that have better parents,one obtained Army recruitment form while the other obtained Police form and they were lucky to be selected after 5months they have started receiving salary while I remain home drinking gaari and depend on my parent.

My parents especially my dad put pressure on me that me too should try obtain either of the forms so I can start receiving salary and taking care of my siblings. I made a statement that day..I told my dad " Baami I will not obtain recruit form, I will go to school become a career man and I will take care of you,my mum and my siblings but daddy I promise you I will build house,buy car,marry and do all the good thing when these guys are doing great things" my dad couldn't reply me he just smile, people will be making jest of me when ever these guys come around,will give them money,gift but I was home waiting for when I will get money for jamb.

I eventually gained admission into The polytechnic Ibadan in 2002/03 that wasn't my choice but I have to go to higher institution. I did some funny job to sponsored myself to finish ND in 2005 time is going and I'm already 23yrs old, I came to Lagos and look for job, after many tries I got a better one in 2009 at age 27(Even with ND ) this job change my life till date, I go back for my HND in 2010 (pt) . One day the Solder among my friends called me if I have like #400k to buy land,thank God i have the #400k he bought the land for me and he took me to the land and even show me his own with uncompleted 3 bedroom flat on it,in two months my building is completed just remain roofing, Four months after I completed my house even bfre his, at age 30 i have own what a man must have.Today I'm better (not my power but by God grace)

My problem do not allow your parent words disorganize you, everybody has his/her time, be focused and believe in yourself, the fact that your friends graduated bfre u doesn't mean they will be employed bfre you and even if they got employed bfre u ..it doesn't mean you will not excel/succeed pass them.You have your destiny and they have theirs.

Peace be unto you and pls face your studies and say no to cultism .

I learnt this the hard way. I got into a relationship that completely ruined me now i got less than 10k naira in my account unlike before i had close to 500k in my account before i got into one over clingy relationship even up till today my stupid self is still yet to break up tho she graduated already I'm waiting for her to move away from school area then i black her out completely.

I bleeped up. Relationship is really expensive for a struggling guy. I got up to 150k debts on my neck now and i can't ask my parent for money anymore cos I used to help them even help my younger ones in school and my other brothers when they got any problem that i can assist. They think I'm able to take care of myself now i. Can't imagine myself calling my mom to ask her for 2k chaii i no fit o.

I'm back to square zero I'm just in school with nothing.

Well I’m in your shoes. I just finished from uni and I started my company as a side hustle but now I’m earning over 300K a month and getting more clients that I’ve employed 3 more people. The issue is I applied for Unilag (just for applying sake) and I gained admission for Msc. My uncle has paid for it but it’s really clashing with my work. I’m really confused right now

My advice is for MEN and this is based on my little experience.

Never marry a woman that does not or would not respect you. (including a woman with bad attitude and low morals). If you do YOU WILL REGRET IT....don't ever think you can manage it ( remember its forever).
The saying that "the 3 most important things men want in marriage is:
Respect, Good food & Good sex" is true, so scan well well to be certain you have the right partner.

Most women nag...but my brother nagging get levels....do everything humanly possible to avoid a woman with high potential of nagging....if you don't...YOU WILL HATE YOURSELF....As a man, if you are not patient (SURU) pls dont marry yet, until you find a way to develop yourself in that regard....its takes a patient man to be a good husband.....you will see many things, but you can't react to everything, else YOU CAN RUN MAD.....

It takes God and high level of luck to marry the right partner (man or woman)....you cannot use smartness alone or discerning spirit or anything....Marriage is like going to the market to buy a parcel wrapped in a black nylon, until get home that's when the nature of what you bought would begin to unravel its content in a slow release manner (good or bad).

It is my believe that for a woman to enjoy/own/control her marriage and her husband she needs to be submissive to her husband....(to people who may not agree) like i said...IT IS MY BELIEVE, it may not be your believe, don't crucify me for my believe.
