its seems to me like the amount in naira is just too scary to most people. If it were to b in usd, it would hav been USD6.5M... U want to agree wit me dat people squander more than this on things u will consider irrational...

Come to think of it...have u ever heard God speak or do u think HE is now dumb? Maybe HE is blind and deaf as well. His thoughts are higher than urs and his way higher than urs... If GOD has a problem with people giiving that much, HE will say it.

If its a problem that people are sowing to u, pls don't sow. Don't help GOD with HIS problems...I believe He can handle them HIMSELF
I think you have a point by saying that the Polio issue is more to do with attitude and less to do with money....

That being said, I'm still of the opinion that churches need to do more in areas of charity, especially in a country where greed reigns supreme.

In most churches in Nigeria, you hardly hear of pastors raising money to help the needy. What is mostly heard of are funds needed to expand and build more branches; very synonymous to a business venture setting up branches so as to rake in more revenue.

All nairalanders that vehemently defend their pastors, how often do your pastors say to you lots that you should sow seed for widows, orphans, the poor, the homeless, etc?

Some people might say.....hey bro, hold on!!! Why do you want to saddle government's responsibilities on churches?

The answer is simple... Government comes from the people and if the people are church-goers, then the church(mosque) is the right place to start any reform.

These responsibilities we think the church is saddled with will only inspire our future generation to love, be modest and always do what is fair.
Go to winners.., welfare offering is collected monthly. Do people receeive this assistance? Yes but few. Why few? Cos people don't put themselves up for it

kilmix: Section 427 of the Nigeria Criminal Code. I Quote

"Receiving Property Stolen or Fraudulently Obtained and like Offences

427. Any person who receives anything which has been obtained by means of any act constituting a felony or misdemeanour, or by means of any act done at a place not in Nigeria, which if it had been done in Nigeria would have constituted a felony or misdemeanour, and which is an offence under the laws in force in the place where it was done, knowing the same to have been so obtained, is guilty of a felony.

If the offence by means of which the thing was obtained is a felony, the offender is liable to imprisonment for fourteen years, except in the case in which the thing so obtained was postal matter, or any chattel, money or valuable security contained therein, in which case the offender is liable to imprisonment for life."
Ur point precisely...

Wapco n NNPC as I heard offered to rebuild dat road bt will deduct their spendings frm their taxes, bt u knw someone up there needs d money. I even heard d contract for d road was awarded but was not done. That axis is fast becomin an industrial lane and nids quick repairs.

Just as it has been said by Abike Dabiri, d senator representing the Ogun East has said they fighting tooth and nail to ensure the road gets a look in. It was even reported that d construction Amosu is doing on the main town of Sagamu met a lot resistance for the insistence of Amosu.

I hope the road hdts a look in for the sakes of al of us.l

You guys need to read it and go over all the comments mostly made by Muslims. You will be so shocked the North is filled with many Yerimas. The poor lady got the bashing of her life by thick skinned religious bigots. Mehn, after reading all that I hated the more Sir Fredrick Lord Lugard and all his cohorts. This is obviously a nation of many countries. I do not believe I belong to the same nation with those speakers. No, not at all. I personally place a curse on anyone who covertly or openly go against the division of this so called country. I just urge everyone to read all of that including the comments and you will see that there will never be an end to boko haram insurgency no matter the efforts of the JTF.

Hmm, let me look @ d matches nd homebased players dat regularly featured @ confed cup.

Oboabona? Did well in my opinion.
Mba? Nt tu wel. I av my reservations abt im even frm afcon. E is yet 2 convince as bein a gud 'man in d hole'.
Gambo? Missed a glorios chance against Spain. Yakubu did beta certainly in 2010.

Who did nt go 2 Brazil?
Moses, injured.
Ike Uche, club engagement.
Our big centre forward, injured tu.
Onazi, injured.
Osaze, tu egoistic, i used to like im very much bt now very unprofessional.
Anichebe, dont know tho bt i heard e called a time-out.
Ameobi, clause in contract.
Martins, coaches discretion.

Who else? D SE is just a team of overhyped average players. Outside d 1st 11, can d rest beat an average team like Saudi? I doubt!
Why did d SE fail in Brazil? No striker! Who could av done so outside Emenike? Mayb Anichebe or Ameobi.., bt remember they ar nt proven in my opinion.

So y wil Gambo nt b in Brazil?
I think my terms are quite generous compared with what you'll otherwise obtain elsewhere from more structures investors. If entrepreneurs think these terms are stringent, then I'm afraid 'funding' will remain an issue and they're not ready for business. This is the sort of insight I'm looking to get regarding the mindset of entrepreneurs. I've found that most budding entrepreneurs are too protective of their undeveloped idea, and are overly averse to anything equity or concession of some control. Unfortunately, investors are not stupid. Please keep it coming.
its actually not stringent but not automatic. A new start up wil most likely not yield such return as 86k.
