Pramod Mittal, whose career in the steel industry has been less glittering than his better-known sibling — the tycoon behind the €20 billion ($21.2 billion) ArcelorMittal SA conglomerate —, has a string of abandoned factories and a trail of unpaid debts to his name. Five years ago, his Isle of Man-registered Global Steel Holdings Ltd., or GSH, was put into liquidation over $167 million owed to Moorgate Industries Ltd., a company spun off from one of the world’s biggest steel traders.

The story of the Ajaokuta steel mill on the banks of the Niger River 190 kilometers south of the capital, Abuja, is often cited as emblematic of the corruption, poor governance and incompetence that bedevils the West African nation. The country’s most notorious white elephant still sparks passionate debate over whether it should be written off or revived.

“Ajaokuta has been a black hole that has gobbled up billions of dollars, enriching multiple generations of politicians and foreign enablers,” says Matthew Page, a former Nigeria expert for US intelligence agencies and now an associate fellow at London-based Chatham House. “This last failed reboot — and the giant price tag that came with it — is a preview of the next failed re-concessioning attempt. I will try and keep this short, I have an aunty who works with one of the FG parastatals but she is contemplating on resigning. Reasons being:
1) the transport fare takes more than 50% of her monthly earnings as the distance between her house and workplace is far (ikorodu to CMS)
2) due to the distance she does not have the time to take care of her children as she has to leave very early and return late at night.

Ever since she told me, I tried to convince her to just hold on as i strongly believe that the minimum payment will be reviewed soon which will address the issue of salary but she stated that my solution does not address the other challenge of negligence of children.

Please i need advice on what she can do to get to work faster amd return home faster

Don't be surprised when we call for a protest against this woman her tribes people will not participate. The end sars protest the north did not participate because it was seen as a fight against their own son Buhari. Even some major part of South west did not participate because it was seen as a disruption to the quest and ambition of tinubu's 2023 candidacy
We were all aware that Tinubu's administration is gonna be a repetition of Buhari's tenure because Tinubu was part of it and he was the one who brought upon us Buhari's administration

You guys make so much Noise with Lagos that one starts to wonder if Lagos is the only place Igbos are in large number. The Igbos residing and doing Business in Kano, Kaduna, Abuja and other Northern states is larger in number than Lagos. Why we have so much Igbos in Lagos is because of the monopoly of seaport. YOu can find Igbos in several West African countries running their businesses in peace, none is verbally attacked like the hateful Yorubas that have made it their past time to keep attacking Igbos online.
