PoliticsRe: Nigeria To Import 2.1 Million Metric Tons Of Rice, Become Top Buyer Globally by sulaak(m): 12:54am On Nov 16, 2023
Karleb:
It is honestly better and cheaper than producing.

Don't even say it will affect forex because when we were importing our rice jejely before buhari, the naira was stronger.
That is because the country was selling 2 million barrels at $100. A country that can't feed its people is doom to failure

So what happened here?

PoliticsRe: Labour Strike Not In Nigerians’ Interest, Says Oshiomhole by sulaak(m): 8:15am On Nov 15, 2023
Tekzyflex:
Osho make Sense today. The Labour leader is not fighting for the interest of the suffering Nigeria masses. He's fighting a personal fight.
How come it was when election was near in Imo state that he decided to stage a protest.
You cannot be an NLC president and be partizan. You have to come out clean and see if the people won't back you up.
For those quoting me,I guess you were to lazy to read the details of what Oshiomole said. You only read the headline and start squirting trash from your mouths.
You have a president who has done nothing to investigate the mass corruption in NNPC.

The ongoing stealing of the country's oil resources by the security agency and government officials. If democracy and the judiciary fail, the only hope is going on the street.
Car TalkRe: Local Vehicle Assemblers Struggle Amid $1 Billion Investment, Lament Low Demand by sulaak(m): 2:21pm On Nov 14, 2023
designking:
Nigerians can't afford their new cars without auto-credit scheme
There has to be an auto-credit and auto warranty plan to support new car maintenance. There is also the issue of spare parts availability.

The country must first complete the steel and aluminium industries and bring back the windscreen and tyre manufacturers because they make up 80% of car components.

Nobody is suffering, we Yoruba Muslims are very ok with Tinubu leadership, all this picture is ipob made, we Yoruba Muslims are ok and happy
Only 8 million Nigeria voted for Tinubu; the question we should ask is how can a tiny minority elect a president for 220 million people.

They are taking Nigerians as fools; Tinubu and Buhari are both equal leaders and cofounders of APC and directly responsible for bankrupting Nigeria.

tuoyoojo:
The maxim in politics is that you don't change a winning formula.

A huge chunk of the voting population that govt has wesponized poverty against would rather collect and pack of indomie and vote a worthless candidate

When Nigerians are ready for change, we know what to do but meanwhile let this renewed hope be affecting all of us
Well said.

You can only buy vote from a willing seller
Car TalkRe: SA-Based Nigerian Percussionist Olukayode Drove Ferrari That Got Tongues Wagging by sulaak(m): 7:00pm On Nov 12, 2023
BigBlackPreek:
His time has come hence he must shine 🔆

Congratulations to him
This is why Nigeria is a mess today; you don't ask how he acquired the funds to buy an expensive car, yet you say his time has come. Yet you will be the first person to attack Nigeria's corrupt politician.

The man is a fool, living large among poor SA, he will soon be investigated.
CrimeRe: Abiola Tijani Rapes A Woman In the UK by sulaak(m): 6:56pm On Nov 12, 2023
GanagiBitrus:
Too bad.

Some of the liberties we take with women here in Naija, would amount to Rape or Sexual Harassment in UK. smiley
Raping a stranger will not be seen as liberty, even in Nigeria.

This is why I am against Nigerians leaving Nigeria; the new generation of Nigerians are not suited to modern society, and twenty-three years of corrupt democracy coupled with extreme poverty has shaped Nigeria to be only fit for Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: SUVs for NASS members: Nobody'll Contemplate such Under My Administration - Obi by sulaak(m): 4:48am On Nov 10, 2023
rinzaugustine:
Peter Obi is an exceptional human being. I can’t even believe a man like him joined Nigeria politics Nobody have ever inspired me more than Peter Obi. He took Labor party from obscurity to national limelight within six months and never spent shishi, or government funds or donation, something no Nigerian living or dead had ever done! I sometimes go back to his speeches and play it most of the time. I have his potriat in my house. The man is a genius and would have made a big change in this 6 months the incompetent mandate thief is wandering around like a lost baby…a new Nigeria is possible with Peter Obi
What is exceptional about PO?

If PO cannot convince the 8 LP candidates not to accept the N160k SUV, how is he going to convince the Nigerian civil services to support his policies, this was his first test as leader of the opposition and yet he failed.

As governor, his only industrial development was a controversial beer factory. He was the VP candidate for the PDP until late last year when he joined LP 8 months before the election. He made LP relevant by becoming the main Igbo and Christian presidential candidate.

PoliticsRe: Babachir Lawal: CBN Governor Cardoso Has Patch-Patch CV by sulaak(m): 4:09pm On Nov 09, 2023
It doesn't matter the CV of the CBN governor is, what is important is the president's philosophy. Under OBJ leadership and policies, Iweala was very effective and capable of delivering critical monetary and economic policies. She was largely ineffective under GEJ.

Cardoso would be largely ineffective if he had Moghalu or Iwaela's CV. The problem is Tinubu and his circle of friends.

People and businesses grow on credit,

Oyinbo.. get iphone on contract, TMobile, Verizon

They get houses on mortgage paying off for as long as 25 years

Car loan

Student loan

Black man goes to bank to hide his money, Oyinbo goes to bank to get money to invest in his life

.
Very ignorant statement, Oyingbo use the bank to save and invest. Mortgages are only provided if you have a good credit rating and can afford the mortgage against income.

Oyingbo that has a car, student loan, mortgage and phone loan are usually cash-poor and broke. There has to be some balance, buy a cheap second hand car , cheap phone and have a mortgage (assets).

Nice deal on paper.

But barca dont have 150 Milla.

Well, unless dem borrow from China, IMF, or world bank.

Barca still dey owe Pique, Buskuet, Messi, Neymar, Ronaldinho, even Eto'o money..
Osimhen wouldn't cost $150 million because he has one year left on his contract and wants to leave Napoli. There is also an investigation into the transfer of Osimhen to Napoli from Lille.

The deal has long been a cause of controversy, as the official €70m transfer plus €10m in bonuses fee was only circa €50m in cash, the other €20m made up of goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis and three youth team players Luigi Liguori, Claudio Manzi and Ciro Palmieri

Car TalkRe: Nigerian Man Spotted Using Palm Oil As Lubricant For His Motorcycle by sulaak(m): 4:20pm On Nov 02, 2023
BreakingNews21:
I salute your intelligence and knowledge of history !!!!!
I don't know whether you are being sarcastic or genuine in your statement. But for your general knowledge, the image below illustrates my point

Igbo men in the Oil Rivers area of present-day Nigeria bring calabashes full of palm oil to sell to a European buyer, c. 1900. Image © Jonathan Adagogo Green / The Trustees of the British Museum, CC BY NC SA
https://theconversation.com/red-gold-the-rise-and-fall-of-west-africas-palm-oil-empire-179112#:~:text=Palm%20oil%20was%20used%20as,%2Dscale%2C%20industrial%20soap%20production.

Palm oil was used as an industrial lubricant, in tin-plate production, street-lighting, and as the fatty semi-solid for candle making and soap production. Breakthroughs in chemistry, in the 1820s facilitated a change to large-scale, industrial soap production.

Ever larger quantities of palm oil – increasing from 157 metric tonnes per year in the late 1790s to 32,480 tonnes by the early 1850s – were brought to the UK by small-scale West African traders.

The trade was not for the faint-hearted. Once a year, traders would spend up to six weeks travelling in small schooners to one of the many trading stations on the West African coast. There were several dozen trading stations in the Oil Rivers area of today’s Niger Delta -– the heartland of the West African palm oil trade.

European traders lived and traded entirely on abandoned sailing ships. This was partly to try and avoid deadly diseases, such as malaria and yellow fever, but also because local authorities didn’t let them build on land. Inland trade was controlled tightly by local brokers and village chiefs.

European traders gave these brokers European goods such as cooking utensils, salt and cloth. Then the traders waited on board their ships for them to return, sometimes for months at a time. Many of the African brokers were themselves former slave traders. The slave trade in the Niger Delta did not immediately stop with abolition but continued alongside the palm trade until the 1840s. Palm brokers and European traders continued to use the same network and system developed for the slave trade.

While waiting, the European traders’ coopers would assemble large casks to hold palm oil.

Car TalkRe: Nigerian Man Spotted Using Palm Oil As Lubricant For His Motorcycle by sulaak(m): 3:25pm On Nov 02, 2023
Nigeria Palm Oil was once used as a Lubricant for locomotives in Nigeria and the UK before the development of petrochemical lubricants.

Palm Oil was Nigeria's main export and used entirely as an industrial lubricant.
PoliticsRe: Nobody Can Take My Political Structure — Wike by sulaak(m): 1:59pm On Nov 02, 2023

FarSide:
My past is seriously hunting me. In the past 4 years I've had unprotected sex with 12 girls. Now I want to get married and my girlfriend is insisting on HIV test first.

All these while I never did any HIV test, I never felt it's important to do it and I never had any known symptoms of HIV.

Since she requested for the test, I've been postponing it citing busy schedules and all that but deep down I'm just damn frightened.

Can it be possible to have sex with 12 girls and still not get HIV? The thing is seriously giving me sleepless night.

I'm planning on going for a test myself alone, then if it's negative, I will then go with her but if not, I will just japa
