You don't announce a project has been completed until you have tested the project. The confusion is with NNPC, which announced that the project PH Refinery was mechanically completed when, in fact, the project has even started its Quality Assurance process.

The absolute failure is that the same NNPC management team that has managed extreme corruption and incompetence since 2015 have not been sacked by the Minister of Petroleum, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Nigerian oil and refining industry is a fraud.

Corruption has destroyed any trust in Nigeria.

I quoted you because you defended Bola Tinubu's decision to avoid presidential debates. You termed them irrelevant...and they are not.

There are many countries that have several debates where politicians sell their plans to the electorate...and these politicians are in turn quizzed on these plans. These countries are not stupid. These debates are a visible, high profile way of deciding how well politicians are able to sell their ideas to voters. These debates are a way of holding politicians accountable. If Nigerians think that this accountability is for fools then we should accept the consequences of such deluded thinking.

Bola Tinubu has turned out to be no different from those who came before him. He ignored the debates because of the contempt he has for any kind of real accountability to voters. You think debates are irrelevant? Well...look at the disaster our economy has turned into in a space of less than one year. Bola Tinubu seizes every opportunity to talk partisan politics but he carefully avoids any situation where he may have to explain his economic agenda for Nigeria. But it is the economic matters that will put bread on tables and get people into jobs - not the political issues.

What will Tinubu gain in politics? What has he got to offer? I listened to the debates that included Atiku and Peter Obi and all they had to offer was sound bites. I will suggest that Nigerian look that backgrounds.

I recently came across this company when researching the Petrochemical industry in Nigeria- Brass Fertilizer and Petrochemical Company. I wasn't aware of the company, and, on further investigation, I was astonished that it had a delivery date of 2024.

I then loaded the company website to analyse the structure of the board of directors and management team. https://www.brassfertilizer.com/, but the board of directors and management team had no names, which set off an immediate red flag.

There is no evidence that the entity has the resources or competency to deliver a petrol station, let alone a multi-billion dollar petrochemical plant; the fact that the company has got both state and federal government support and an NNPC stakeholder guarantee of natural gas to be delivered over the life of the Project, is further evidence that this is another P&ID fraud or Ajaokuta fraud by corrupt international and local players.

The website had the following government agreements.

Statutory C of O (Land Lease Approval)
99-year lease granted by Bayelsa State Government, Nigeria via accordance of Statutory Certificate of Occupancy (C of O)

Stakeholder in Gas Feedstock JV
Direct government support via NNPC’s 55% stake in SPDC JV

Nature of control: Ownership of shares – More than 50% but less than 75%
Ownership of voting rights - More than 50% but less than 75%
Right to appoint and remove directors.

The company has been struck off in the UK due to non-compliance with UK regulations and has relocated to a Nigeria address.
