RecessionistPMB: Good and Great move. Wike and his assembly members should go to hell.
There is absolutely no reason why former governor should boss over current governor. His mandate as executive governor expired on 29th may.
God fatherism is antithetic to democracy and must be resisted. Why should one man think himself to be bigger than the entire electorate that gave their mandate to SIm?
It defies the resources of logic and tenets of democracy to continue turn a sitting governor to a mere remote control.
If it has become a norm in South west, South South should resist such anti-democratic tactics. It's anti-democratic! Wike was never on the 2023 ballot!
This is democracy! We are not practicing monarchy and plutocracy. Nigeria has been practicing Oligarchy and not democracy. Nigerians are incapable of practising democracy. |

he incorrect perception of a problem can lead to the development of poor theories to solve it. This explains why, a decade after implementing Structural Adjustment Programs (SAP) advanced by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), many African countries have still not made measurable progress.
Africa is much worse off today than it was a decade ago because African economists and the world bodies have a poor perception of the African economic problem and so designed SAP—a program which cannot stimulate growth. Why do Structural Adjustment Programs lack growth elements, and what should be done to stimulate rapid development? https://web.mit.edu/africantech/www/articles/PlanningAdjust.htm |

World Bank's Country Director for Nigeria, Shubham Chaudhuri, should consider Nigeria CBN Governor and Nigeria Finance Minister because the country is directly implementing the IMF/World Bank policy the sam policies that destroyed the automobile industry in 1986 when Nigeria implemented SAP. The World Bank has said that the removal of import restrictions in Nigeria will lift about 1.3 million people out of poverty.
It stated this in the December 2023 edition of its Nigeria Development Update (NDU) report.
This comes as some members of the House of Representatives recommended a ban on the import of items that can be locally produced in the country.
Also, the CBN lifted the foreign exchange proper centohibition on 43 items, including rice, fertilizer, and cement.
The World Bank has commended the move by the apex bank, describing it as pro-poor as it enhances consumer welfare.
The World Bank, however, noted that although “the removal of import restrictions may present challenges to certain sectors, these can be mitigated for some of them with a comparative advantage.” |

Set a 5-10 year plan to reduce import....
Set plan to create infrastructure to support local production and stability within 5-10 years in feasible sectors.

Watch how naira will appreciate. Simple. That the only solution, but how do you transform a unproductive country into a productive society. |

This is a shocking statement. Can he name the location and generation capacity of all generators contributing to the 40,000 megawatts of electricity? Tinubu government is proving to be worse than Buhari, I thought it would be impossible to be worst than the dullard. The CBN lifted FOREX restrictions on 43 items, and multinationals (PZ, GSK, P&G) immediately shut down their local operations and announced that they were moving into the lucrative import business. Nigeria gets about 40,000 megawatts of electricity from generators powered by Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, and those run by Automotive Gas Oil, also known as diesel, the Federal Government declared on Tuesday. |

You can land an entry-level Big 4 job in Nigeria. Landing an entry-level Big 4 job in Nigeria is not as hard as people say. You need to know the right things and have loads of preparation!
Big 4 firms in Nigeria usually recruit all year round. Openings for audit, tax, deal advisory, IT advisory and management consulting come up frequently. You only need to bookmark credible job sites so you know when they start calling for applications. Why? First, it makes it easier for you to pass the entrance tests (GMAT, SHL, etc.). Second, during the interviews, if you can craft a perfect story why you’re moving out of science into business, then you’re in. So, whether PWC, KPMG, EY, or Deloitte, your discipline isn’t so relevant.
The Big 4 firms will only let you apply if, at the time of applying, you’re not above 26.
Okay, there’s a ton of criticism hauled at the Big 4 firms over this requirement. They have their reasons.
If you join, your colleagues will be super young. During my onboarding, met a 20-year old colleague.
It’s also not unheard-of to have a manager, who is only 28. So, you might look weird if you’re 30 and your team lead is 23. However, the Big 4 firms have started relaxing this requirement...
Courtesy VC. He can apply as a professional and not as a graduate. He will need to professional certification to balance his academic qualification |

Racoon: No sane investor will put his hard earned money into prospects under a government filled with the manner of despicable greedy super looters criminals as obtainable today in this nation. An intelligent investor will put his money in Nigeria; the trick is to invest in an industry that requires low foreign input, such as low-scale mining, agriculture and software engineering. The labour cost is low, and the returns are very high if the product is export-orientated. You can employ five university graduates for as little as $10000. |

So after the completion of the project we calculated that I have 115k for the period I spent working . Now it has been 5days since we finished the project but yet to pay me I have families that depend on me and he now want me to go home empty handed after this long since I left my family. I have been asking him but now he doesn't even take my call. please how can I handle this issue? The first lesson is that you should have a written contract before you start any work, and ensure that a deposit of 20 -50 % is deposited in an escrow account before you start any contract, never trust an oral contract. I doubt he has the funds to pay you for your work, best appeal to his conscience or call the police. |

Many of these so-called tech companies have nothing more than brightly coloured offices, a few computers/laptops and a half-baked, bound-to- fail idea that they wax lyrics around and sell to investors as a viable business.
Many of these founders have no tangible business or life experience - yet, misguided investors will give them money.
It is no surprise over 95% of them fail.
