What are they writing? Didn't Fairfax buy blackberry last month for $4.6bn? |
Private jet on wheels. From the pictures of both interiors tho. |
Nonsense talk everywhere. Being handsome or fine or good looking has nothing to do with charisma or money or any of those. Thought there were valid points here to buttress the OP's point of view. When you add addictives you have left the scope of "finedom" and the associated words. |
Lol. Some girls are so upset about some of the replies by the guys. Then some girls don't even know what is being fine, handsome or good looking. Then, some also have decided to judge either party (ladies and men) based on what they wear, the use of cosmetics and all. I'll continue to read. I love this thread tho. |
Where and when do they produce cars in Nigeria? Since when? Which companies? |
carzola: Mr man, wheather u lost 4naira or 4milion, nairaland is not a court or a costomer complain center for your bank.. Is people like you that spoil this country and give us a bad reputation outside.... Or is this ur way of berggin for cheap sympertizers?you can't spell so I wouldn't take you seriously. Its glaring you don't know how complex it is to make money. Much less lose N4mn in this present economic situation. You must not comment if you don't have an opinion. |

Suddenly, everyone has an opinion. Leave politics for the politicians.politics is not done on Nairaland. Insulting GEJ, Dame GEJ, Amechi won't make your assertions true or get you anything. Objectivity matters in this quest to move Nigeria forward. Whether NANS, PDP, APC most of them are on the same quest. Get power, loot and increase the suffering of the masses. I don't understand this hullabaloo of most Nigerians. They suddenly know what happens in every state. And seem to have an opinion. |
Goldenheart: how is it gonna be? hire me...hi, what's your email address. I need us to discuss. |
Hi, if you are an illustrator interested in a short time project kindly drop your email. Thanks. |
The slap will reduce him to a not coming artist. LOOOOOL. The funniest thing I've read on NL. Mr. Wellington has a good sense of humor. |
madam_oringo: LWKMD! Obviously you are a dunce to speak so much foolishness or you are ignorant and have never lived in the developed world. So because you have a SSN, you don't require any residency status since you belong everywhere to every state?? See mugu! I guess you've been reading NL posts of Yankee based and started piecing it together so that you can talk as though you live here and know what you are talking about! LWTMB! Abeg go your village before you destroy the little left of your reputation in Nigeria.you actually need a brain. little minds resort to insults. |
Kairoseki77: ,please stop blabbing. do you live in the states? are you a citizen? what is the essence of social security number if you have to register in every state you move to? dont you know if you moved jobs to six states, from your analysis you'll have 6 residency ID cards? please, any state you pay tax, utility bills or might have obtained a drivers' license is your state of residence. |
nora544: Nigerian Pastors make me laugh, one buy a husband for her daughter that she didnot has a child without a husband, the other pastor tell that they cannot marry in the church, and the next pastor will test if she realy is a virginwrite in english. perhaps, you'll make sense. |
senbonzakura_kageyoshi: no, it is a marriage proposal.LOOOOOOOOOL. |
first day i heard the song, i thought it was...back to the mat/open and close/touch your toes...very suggestive something...LOL. |
spongeback: NBC get dirty mind, open and close I felt wizkid was talking about a doorLOL....smh. |
some sound like quotes from spartacus: blood and sand. |
smoothicon: wow!! they got feelings too?they can actually die of heart break. |
gluv01: If there's one thing I dislike, it's short hand when typing a text on a computer, especially on social networking sites. Makes the person look a bit less intelligent. For ...sake, how does he even feel telling the world he wants to have her because she is sexy? Who doesn't knowhe said he "luvs" her cos she is "sexy". which translates to what you understood by the "have" he wrote. its however not a case of internet short hand. but a statement of intent. |
theoctopus: Stop talking nonsense my friend. You are not even questioning the fact that Saraki was going around with 7 policemen. How many policemen does Nigeria have? He is not entitled to police escort, period. If he had any, it was simply goodwill from the police and it was even ridiculous. If one senator has 7 policemen, the 109 senators will have 7 X 109 = 763 policemen. So how many will remain for the rest of Nigeria. Please stop supporting bad thing. He should go and hire man o' war and pay for his own security like every other Nigerian.are senators and other law makers not entitled to security details? i am confused. |
y'all arguing on here, IT isnt computer science, please. in IT, you cant even get a phd because there are significant limitations. universities have found out some folks are interested in learning how to write softwares and manage databases, so, in a school like Unilag, you can go for a masters in Info tech. but you cant advance to do a phd. like some peeps pointed out, most "programmers" without fundamental knowledge of how the computer works cant even write simple compiler argument. and lots more. so, please, computer science isnt about mysql, html and python. |
[quote author=kodewrita]Without contesting the evident merit of what you posted, I just want to state that the degrees are only irrelevant if you do not use them for what they were originally designed for. In its true sense, computer science was never aimed at producing super coders who bang out facebook-level apps with one hand while assembling a robot with the other hand. A typical computer scientist( in the real sense) would be busy trying to create the next level of compression algorithms to speed up the internet or creating better languages to better make use of multicore processors or trying to find out how to ensure data consistency in an environment with multiple database clusters and other such whatnot. It requires some mathematical thinking and mostly logical thinking with a dose of domain knowledge. That's why schools in the US try to create majors focused on creating software engineers. That said, I believe we have piled on p.josh and I really do not like the insults being levelled at his uncle or his person(this is assuming p.josh is a dude). Lets contribute without insulting him. For the undergrads who detest the maths aspect of computer science, please know that maths, comp sci and elect are deeply interconnected. You can never achieve true understanding without knowing the first principles on which your field is based. Ask any physics grad and they will tell you of the need to always identify and master the fundamental laws/principles before going on to study phenomena(be they natural or manmade like computers). You want to jump on to Cisco networking, OSPF etc and you refuse to learn the Shortest Path First and other path finding algorithms who derive their existence to the Graph Theory maths that you detest. I could go on and on about the beauty of algorithms including encryption algorithms, packet sharing algorithms, fuzzy logic etc. Its heady stuff and if you already love logic, you can fall in love with them easily. Finally, I want to flip to the other side and say that university knowledge is a refinement of generally held knowledge too. As such, it is possible to actually engage in a period of self study and still achieve the same level of knowledge gained by attending a university. Don't argue that with me, just google AUTODIDACTISM. There are lots and lots of articles on it. P.Josh. If however you have other interests, I would advice doing either a combined major of computer science and another course (e.g Economics which you will find supremely useful or Maths). The other option is to study another course but gain practical IT skills by taking A+(practical IT maintenance skills), Java/Python/.net( programming), MySQL/oracle(DBMS), Net+/CCNA( Networking) to make you a versatile individual. All the best and God's guidance on your choice of career. i like your mind. |
boyroy02: Going on and on abt this argument is so not called for,its simple d only good use of spending 4yrs in a Nigerian uni is jst having d cert. Where as in d real world having d cert nd not being able to live up to d cert u have practically to me its simple 4 yrs wasted, cause u can do any other cause whether science or art it doesn't matter if u really have a flair for computers nd want to do great tinz with it, u can with out studying computer science in sch, u need is self development nd probably a good Computer INSTITUTE too, i studying mech Eng in sch thou wanted to study com sci but realized it was point less considering d so many great tinz i can do already without even evr enrolling in any computer training center or institute imagine if i had attended 1 d greater possibilities i'll be able to achieve, again i say it doesn't matter wat u study cuz as a mech Eng student i do assignments for computer science student in sch, i was so good a group of dem suggest dat i start up practical lessons for dem nd yes i did nd earned 4rm it. 'In essence all am trying to say is u can be great in d world of computer regardless of ur area of study if u have d love for it nd can identify ur area of interest in computer cuz d world of computer is very vast'your english shows everything about your thought pattern. going to a computer institute doesnt make you a computer scientist. being able to write computer programmes or design website, will never make you a computer scientist. y'all just come on here to blab. do you honestly think computer science is about programming alone? please, do some research before your reply. |
p.josh:lie of the devil. |
mitwitdot: Haters! Make them hang for wire...typical naija pull down syndrome.typical nigerian. everything is about hate. why not be rational? this was a report. |
uj_sizzle: I remember watching Bill Cosby's 'Kids Say', and it occurred to me how as kids we had some real weird imaginations, had silly things we believed or just swallowed the lies our parents and elder kids told us hook line and sinker; ofcourse until aftersometime in our adult life we realized we'd been real sillyLOL @ the colour gist. toh red nigerian. |
Rexphobia: Religion is indeed an opium... When you are high, you do stupid thingsopium of the masses. |
ziccoit: About "Money isn't made out of paper it is made out of cotton wool" is not true for Nigerian money which is made out of polythene bag.polymer not polythene bag. |
Life is too short to open the second page of a google search. |
naija_swag: Is fluency in english intelligence and brilliance. The best programmers in world now are Chinese and Russians. Able to hack into any computer system in the world - white house, nsa, cia, fbi- name them. Faster than standard computing speed by millions of times in their programs. They don't know a damned single english. They speak chinese and russian. Does that mean that they are not educated?dude stop the long grammar. russian and chinese are official languages in those countries. where as back home in Nigeria, our official language is the english language. which mean we often measure intelligence based on a nigerian's ability to communicate up to a certain level especially when the person in question claims to have attained a higher level degree like a Bachelor of Science or bachelor of arts. |
stolen stone: this is crazy!!!!!!!!! Let he who is without sin be the first to cast a stonethrows the world at you. |
