Appear moderately expensive. Have a neat updated portfolio of most recent jobs that have brought you most work. Don't appear desperate to do a job and don't agree to anything the client says. High pricing works too. Its annoying to remember that most people know that designs are intangible products. They can't really quantify it so they think its just a design. You do it all the time, so, it won't cost you any thing.
