6 euro per cow per day! What a lie! Subsidy was only done in Europe but only for cattle producing dairies and not beef. The highest amount was $2.20 but has gone now to less than $1. These companies still pay taxes.

India, brazil, china and US owe 73% of cattles in the world with no subsidy. These is another way to line the pocket of the rich. The poor don't owe any cattle in Nigeria. They are owed by rich businessmen
They are into government for lucre. Buhari is working with the worst team ever. Try as he may, he will never achieve anything meaningful until a complete overhaul of these empty barrels is done.
PoliticsRe: There Is Nothing Like Southern Unity. I Am Not In Support by sunbilor(m): 7:02am On Jan 11, 2018
oooduancalmdown:
There is nothing like southern unity. I as a Yoruba do not support it. This is like creating a mini Nigeria. It will not end well because we don't like ourselves. The north look united because there is a dominant ethnic group. It cannot be like that in the south because there are two. The south south tribes like the land grabbing Ijaws always fight itshekiris and edos.
I don't support southern unity. I will only support it if we are to split the country so we can all go our seperate ways and develop at our pace.
I don't want one tribe to blame mine for their woes.
Please which north is united? The ones killing themselves from maiduguri to Benue, from kogi to Adamawa. I doubt you are a yorubaman, but if you are, you seriously need some brain surgery. Very urgent.

Wen I noticed my elder dota was always hitting and pushing down her younger sister I was worried. My parents always thot us to be our broda's keeper... if u hear yur sibling crying, leave whatever u were doing and dash out to see what happend and help; take pains to satisfy yur sibling first before yur self; let yur left eye and yur left ear be for u and yur right eye and right ear for yur sibling; always be proud of yur sibling and thankful to God u hav one; always know itz normal once in a while to get angry with yur sibling and think him a little fool or a big pain in d back cos datz what u yur self are once or twice every other day!... we grew wid dis. The bond, the freindship was too much I had to get married to the girl they all prefared gainst d 1 I loved n opted for. I was happy only when my siblings were happy. Today I hav no regrets. Thier choice has brought so much warmness n greater union and joyful tears only the happiest people cry when they look back.
As I noticed d behaviour of my elder dota against her younger one, I started working on her immediately. I talked constantly to her about her younger sister being her "little child." What ever I procure for her sister I hand it to her to give to her sister - from sweet, biscuit to bottled water or toy car n cloths.I encourage d habbit of saying thank u. "Go n teach yur child how to write, u yurself u write very well!" "Nedadi did u feed yur baby n wear her pampers today?" "U yurself u can do it!" Now, my dota even proudly say "i myself I can open d car door n carry mybaby inside d car" and she does it! All these come with little prizes like "outing to parks; back from work gift, carry me around on real bicycle, drive around with windows at ground or halfmast- nedadi's favourite!
My first dota is now so attached to her sister. The bond is remarkable and very sincere. She calls her now "mybaby." The last time she mistakenly pushed her sis and she fell and cry they both ended up crying and nedadi was so grieve-struck she cried so much, went close, help her sis bak to her feet, hug and hold on to her and, with tear-wet cheeks, she was muttering amidst sobs "ziba am sorry, mybaby am sorry."

She doesnt do it for a prize anymore.
Wow! Wonderful parenting. I love this.

Go ask Uche Ogah to pay his staff first. I expected that by now the debt being owed primary school teachers in Abia State should have been up to 2 years since Okezie has not been paying despite inheriting over 6 months unpaid salary arrears from T.A. Orji. Use your common sense if you have any.

It doesn't take too long to read an article.

Forget the headline. The judge has only asked for the AGF to put on notice the NA for this case.

The application is still pending.
Nigerians are concerned about the interest of the AGF in blocking the trial at the NA being a prominent member of a party that swore to fight corruption at all levels and cost. All comments refer to this. Not the topic or the content.

Why is Buhari not routing for gaoling of Maina? Will he get the Obanikoro treatment as soon as he declares for the APC? Why is a government the claims to have zero tolerance for corruption shielding suspected corrupt people from probe? Why can't Maina be allowed to face the NA if he believes he has nothing incriminating against him? Will the NA put him in jail if found guilty or culpable. So what's the justification for interference of the AGF in this high profile corruption scandal?

It is unfortunate that PMB only visits the South-Eastern Region for political rallies with no project to show for his time in government. The elders who are receiving him are just psychopants and cannot get him any vote in a free and fair election. How did we get here. 2019 loading. We will not touch this party with a long spoon.
Eze Ikonne gave him 'Ogbuagu1' chieftaincy title when he visited Aba during the 2015 campaign period. I wonder what other tiltle he will bestow him now that he has killed many Igbo youths and doesn't care about the death of innocent people killed in the middlebelt by his fulani kinsmen. Maybe 'Ogbunigwe' will be nice. Because I know for sure he has no single project to commission in Abia to convince any reasonable Abia indigene to take him and his gang of looters serious.

PoliticsRe: Benue Killings: Where Lies President Buhari's Sympathy? by sunbilor(m): 7:56am On Jan 09, 2018
nairavsdollars:
Given the current developments in the country especially happenings in Benue state , the impression amongst Nigerians is that President Muhammadu Buhari is sympathetic to the cause of Fulani herdsmen under the aegis of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN). Those alluding to this claim had cited several cases of attacks by the herdsmen since assumption of power by the president yet the federal government failed to take decisive actions just as it did with the Boko Haram menace.

To these ones, the murderous activities of the Fulani herdsmen would have been a thing of the past if the president, as the father of the nation had taken decisive actions. However, given the lackadaisical attitude of the Commander-in- Chief whenever cases of attacks involving the herdsmen occur, it is a foregone conclusion that they will be emboldened to wreak more havoc.

Buhari Meets Lam Adesina On Attacks On Herdsmen (Flashback)

Others also alluded to an incidence in October 13, 2000 when the president (then as General Muhammadu Buhari) alongside General Buba Marwa and other Northern elders paid a visit to the late Alhaji Lam Adesina, then governor of Oyo state.

Giving a vivid description of what transpired on that fateful day, Agbaakin Kehinde Olaosebikan, then Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Adesina who was present at the meeting has this to say:

“It was on 13 October 2000, when words went round that General Muhammadu Buhari was leading the Arewa team to the governor’s office to confront the state over alleged killings of Fulani cattle rearers in Saki, Oke Ogun Area of the state. Buhari did actually telephone the governor that he was leading a team to his office”.

“In less than 30 minutes after the general informed the governor of his visit, we noticed that the entire secretariat was already filled with lorry loads of our brothers from the North. This created some tension but we kept our calm. At about 2 p.m., Buhari arrived in a long convoy at the governor’s office in company of the former governor of Lagos State, General Buba Marwa, Alhaji Aliko Muhammed, Alhaji Abdulrazak and Alhaji Hassan. They all wore long faces. In fact, the anger in them was palpable as all pleasantries extended to them were ignored. “This is trouble” was the expression on the faces of all of us in the governor’s office”.

“Shortly afterwards, the state Director of State Security Service (SSS) and Commissioner of Police arrived. But their presence did not change anything particular on the fears that had already gripped majority of us. The two security chiefs did not come with any operatives, they came almost alone”.

“The meeting was called to order after Lam walked into the Executive Chambers. Introductions over, Buhari spoke on their mission to the governor’s office. Emitting fire, the general accused Lam and the government of Oyo State of complicity in the killing of over 68 Fulani people in Oke Ogun area and perversion of justice.

His words: “Your Excellency, our visit here is to discuss with you and your government our displeasure about the incident of clashes between two peoples… the Fulani cattle rearers and merchants are today being harassed , attacked and killed like in Saki. In the month of May, 2000, 68 bodies of Fulani cattle rearers were recovered and buried under the supervision and protection from a team of Mobile Police from Oyo State Command”.

“ That some arrests were made by Oyo State Police Command in the massacre with their immediate release without court trial. This was said to have been ordered by Oyo State authorities and they were so released to their amazement. The release of the arrested suspects gave the clear impression that the authorities are backing and protecting them to continue the unjust and illegal killings of Fulani cattle rearers…”

“According to the general, they therefore wanted immediate stoppage of the killings, justice and compensation to the Fulanis”.

“As weighty and indicting as Buhari’s allegations were, Lam remained unperturbed. He fired back with his own well coordinated arsenals”.

“Lam identified all the points raised by Buhari and simply asked the heads of the organizations directly involved to respond to the allegations”.

First to speak was the Commissioner of Police who debunked all the claims. Instead of the allegation that the natives were killing Fulanis, the commissioner said pointedly that the opposite was the case.

“ The killing of the natives by the Fulanis was duly reported to the police and, of course, we can’t make arrest because, as soon as they kill, they migrate to other areas. Who are you going to arrest? That is the problem”. On the killing of Fulanis, which he said was as result of “piled up anger”, the commissioner disclosed that arrests had been made and the suspects were in police custody.

Next was the Director of SSS, who equally debunked the allegations by Buhari. “The natives don’t have problem with the Fulanis who are resident but those who are coming in, they don’t care about anybody. They just go ahead and when they graze the natives farms, whoever cares to challenge them runs into trouble. You said 68 people were killed , and people driven away. I am not saying there were no killings but they cannot be more than five. The petition is on the harsh side, there is nothing like that.”

Not done yet, Lam called in his Deputy, Barrister Iyiola Oladokun; his SSG, Chief Michael Koleoso, both from Oke Ogun, and the chairman of one of the affected local government areas, Mr Ademola Alalade. They stated the true position of things, corroborating the submissions of the security chiefs. At this point, all the tensions and apprehensions evaporated.

Trust Lam any day, he must rub it in. He spoke for about 20 minutes and the generals were at the edge of their seats for the entire period. They were like chicken that had just been thoroughly beaten by the rain.

Lam said: “ Before I thank you for this visit, you have come to tell me something. I also want to tell you something and that something is to make an appeal. General Buhari has been a former Head of State, Brigadier Marwa has governed Lagos for some time and with credibility… so you are national leaders of this country. Even though, by accident of birth, you are from the North, you can be born anywhere; may be next time when I am coming to the world, I will be born in the North or the South-South.

“My appeal will be that effort must be made to unite this country and that will be ïn the best interest of all Nigerians. I am appealing to the Arewa Consultative Forum, under which auspices our distinguished Nigerians are here; in recent times, they have been sending wrong signals to a number of us who believe in the unity and peace of Nigeria; you have been too critical of the efforts of the Federal Government. I am saying this because Nigeria, at this point, cannot afford to break and the words you northern leaders utter are very weighty, at the South here, we normally analyze them critically”.

On all the allegations, he said: “From what they have written in the petition, this government is completely blameless because we don’t interfere either with the judiciary or with the police functions. I always preach peaceful co-existence in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole. We are all Nigerians and that is what we have been preaching all along and we shall continue to be Nigerians , no matter the present or immediate problems which will be solved by the grace of Allah.

“I want to say also that we really have to appeal to our people, the itinerant Bororo people, that they should observe less aggression. It is not good , it is not right just coming from somewhere then you just pass through farm lands cultivated may be with the person’s life savings and then over night everything is gone. That is not right, even Allah does not approve of that.

We even wonder when they talk about this people carrying dangerous weapons, I say do they really believe in Allah? When you just take life like that and go away! Are we not forbidden not to take human life? So I think General Buhari, General Marwa, you have to be educating them… It is my pleasure to inform you that at the Presidential Lodge, we have made some arrangements for refreshments so that before you go we can refresh together”.

“Buhari and his team did not wait for any refreshments. They came in angry and left bewildered” Olaosebikan concluded
