Nigerians and misplaced priorities. You all live in a country that is sliding into a banana republic and instead of taking time out to engage the government in the best possible way via social media, you're talking about tithe and irrelevant issues. One day, you all might just wake up and find yourselves in a country, worse of than Somalia.

In all fairness, I acknowledge the fears of pro-tithers even though it's not done as God instructed them to. I also consider the fact that there are some of them who sincerely give unto the promotion of God's work.

I want to make the following clear:

1) I am not against giving unto God's work. I am against preaching false doctrines on tithing and threatening people with a causeless curse for not paying up!

2) Give unto God and man with a cheerful heart and with the leading of the Holy Spirit.

3) Frankly speaking, the God I serve did not use money to create heaven and earth...and I find insulting when people think God's work will come to a grinding halt due to lack of money. God isn't limited to money i.e tithes and offerings included.

4) Jesus has given us a better model of sacrificial giving as outlined in Matthew 25 v 31-46, and it's not pegged at 10% of crops and livestock... rather it's more flexible and it demands way more than 10% of your money or time.
