Somethings don't add up here, you don't have the bus registration number apart from the phone number, it is hard for the Park management to allow a vehicle to load in their garage if your identity is not verifiable even after settlement or should I say you failed to handle it well, btw I send things to other locations from Lagos and ensure I snap the vehicle plate number, even the bus without them knowing though, wisdom is profitable to direct.

My brother, started buying that Oil from 10k around January because I serviced every 3,000Km, I wanted to change oil when the price was skyrocketing all the time the Car is due but my partner advised against it.This country is a joke.

For car servicing these are the factors you should consider.

1. The car manufacturer may have programmed the vehicle internal indicator to pop up the maintenance light after every 3000 to 5000 miles of driving from it's last service date

2. The quality of engine oil, for example top quality synthetic oils like mobile 1, castrol, gulf, vavoline. These oils can do 5000 to 10000 miles before servicing

3. Lastly, some would advice you service either first 3 to 6 months or first 3000 to 5000 miles depending on which comes first.

4. If you use the conventional oils for your car, change it every 1 to 2 month interval


If you follow any of the four above, then you would extend your engine life.

For your question, it depends on the quality of oil you used, the miles the car has covered for that period and the time frame based on the duration from you last service date. I hope this helps
