Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Are Chinese Companies In Nigeria Maltreating Nigerians? by sunnyprof: 6:12pm On Aug 11, 2014
We all blame these foreigners, abi?

But methinks in Nigeria, we love life but have no value for quality. Some companies in Nigeria would not have been there based on normal business standard.

We called for investors and believe me these guys spend a lot of money to do these businesses and create the minimal level employment (factory workers, diggers, packers, operators, Technicians etc.), because it is not easy to do business in Nigeria ooo!!! You try it too and see.

Moreover, our own indigeneous millioniars and their children who live in this affluence we all wish to have, are not investors, they just got money anyhow, they never created large scale employment but just got some cronies, they claim to do contract with Oil Companies and multinationals without office, factory or workforce (I.E. no operational expenses) unlike the Asian factories and construction firms.

lastly, the few Nigerians who even had factories or in large scale employment, how much do they pay? The same thing, if not less (but enrich a few cronies and their children who may be somehow involved I the business.

The only companies that pay well are those from Uk or US who run global service system and pay the same universal rate to their staff whether in Glasgow, Amsterdam, Paris, Congo, Port Harcourt, Gabon, Angola, Abu Dabbi etc. That is why they can do cross-posting of their staff to any country, else, their yansh for open abi?

So what have we done to improve our work system and public life: Value for money or value for quality?

Even this Asians we are complaining of, do not pretend to be enjoying life as well. They are also not well paid despite being called expatriate in Nigeria, See them even more shabby than the Nigeria worker on their sites and even more discipline. They do not spend money anyhow neither do they ride luxury cars except where it is necessary for the business, they work like jerky themselves and their life is only around the business. So what do you expect of them when they think if not for them, you will never get a job talk less of Salary.

Our case is complex. Government must be broken down and opulence must be reduced in the high place, then we may have some level playing ground to start something on better quality of life for Nigerian workers.

You think Luis Suarez is too good for Arsenal, Steven Gerrard? Is that why you set him up for the winner against England at the World Cup even though he was playing for Uruguay and you weren't? Is that why I'm drinking my coffee out of the FA Cup and you're probably drinking out of a more traditional coffee receptacle? Is that why Alexis Sanchez left Barcelona to come to my team and Lionel Messi totally wanted to do the same? How many "Messi to Liverpool" rumors have there been this summer? None. WA-BAM!

Here's a complete list of people who are too good for Arsenal:

In case you can't read nothingness, that's no one. No one is too good for Arsenal. Except maybe John Oates from Hall & Oates, but he's not a footballer AND THAT'S IT. In fact, we are so good that the likes of Robin van Persie, Samir Nasri, Emmanuel Adebayor, Cesc Fabregas, Alex Song and Bacary Sagna have all had to leave because they just couldn't handle the weight of the prestige of playing for Arsenal. They all got scared of how good they became. Like a bunch of Spider-Men who couldn't deal with slinging webs like a boss, so they all decided to go be Peter Parkers somewhere else.

Take Cesc, for example. When he was with Arsenal, he had a thick, lustrous mullet. The kind of mullet that could time-travel back to the 1980s more efficiently than a DeLorean fitted with a flux capacitor by the members of Motley Crue. And now he looks like a Catalan Wayne Rooney. But hey, that's his problem now. WA-BAM.

Grim Reapers
The Ten commandment
Passion of Christ
HELL
Night song
the sword and the switch blade
Jesus of Nazareth
Pilgrim progress
the second coming

all these are foreign Christian films

Local ones by MOunt zion, Evom etc are:

Losr forever
the Gods are dead
Storm of life
My birthright
My conclusion
Agbara nla
The unprofitable servant

But somehow, its like Christian bookstores are dying .... many have closed down in the last few years. Why?
The gospel enterprise requires more than just business approach but real mission ministry

Can we stop this craze for all this thing 'abroad'. We have to stop giving undue attention to the 'wanabes'. I wonder if just paying transport to USA, eating 'meat burger everyday and just come home with dollar not worth 1 million naira, is realy an achievement after 20 yrs?

Our 'affluents' do their birthday, wedding, award washing etc. abroad but when they die, they want to be buried in Nigeria. Why?

Home is home, no matter where you run to.

>>>Only a third of Nigeria is POOR..... MORE in the NORTH.....

>>> would suggest that the unemployment rate in Nigeria is less than 10 per cent compared to the 25 percent figure by the NBS.

>>>"This masks the critical problem in Nigeria of underemployment. Most Nigerians cannot afford not to work, but a large share of the population is engaged in low productivity and low paying tasks."

With the above extracts, it means there is hope in Nigeria...these facts seems to be true, but are Nigerians not groaning?

Are we really happy?

Its not that we wouldn't have been contented with our little and work our growth from there, but the agony, pain and fangs that usually accompany our views with ill-gotten wealth being displayed flagrantly and the wealthy being worshipped is discouraging to those who are hardworking and also pile the pressure to want to belong to the rich group. A seeming display of affluence creates so much ripples in our society today.

or the ones who will tell you to pay a deposit to a bank account and take teller to wait at the Custom's gate in Abuja or Badagry........

Very hilarious... they only need your 10k and nor all the 70k for 'voodoo' iphone.

Buyers should know what it is like once you have a discussion on phone with the seller !!

I expect the seller to tell you his shop or arrange for you to see the product, then pay and collect or you pay on delivery, its simple.
Online purchases are simple but with rules to guide you. So please learn the rules before you dabble into it.

I have paid upfront for Memory cards and Flash drives on Tradestable and it was delivered accordingly thru FEDEX in Yenagoa from Lagos, several times. Paid upfront for Sony Xperia Ultra (N135k) on Konga and delivered to Rivers state accordingly and also linked a phone shop in Wuse II and Computer village for purchase of iphone and Projector on OLX at different times too. Even advert of a seller at Alaba International market on newspaper, paid for was delivered third day by ABC transport to PH, no haxles. The important thing, know the rules and scammers will run from you.
RomanceRe: Myths About Men, Sex, And Marriage by sunnyprof: 10:14am On Jul 21, 2014
marriaige is give and take, play your own part and do everything to keep your marriage (minus any evil). You will love what you get.
RomanceRe: Myths About Men, Sex, And Marriage by sunnyprof: 10:11am On Jul 21, 2014
Marriage is a mystery, you cant understand it all.

But you should regard it more as:

'a personal decision to live and remain by somebody you think you love, admire, respect and would co-operate with to raise a family, enjoy intimacy and partner to create an impact or a new unit for posterity' (my definition).

This let you see it as a life venture, with its up and down, good and bad trends, but you end up with a joy that you have sustained something in life - married till end. Nobody had ever regretted keeping his or her marriage till the end, its always a big testimonies. they will tell you it has some tough times, disappointments along the way, discouraging situations..... but they scale through with love, perseverance, God's help and a belief in what the marriage stood for - partnership, procreation and posterity (these include Children or whatever).

More importantly pray for your marriage and ask for strength to continue till the end. because no marriage is perfect but you can make your an example of a Good marriage ..... and that's your responsibility.

They work with their brains not their looks.

RomanceRe: What Do You Ladies Really Want From Men? by sunnyprof: 6:57pm On Dec 12, 2013
Women don't know love (pls be clear)

They only believe these 3 thins are the component of love:

1) Money (at least regular comfort and affords for basic needs: on regular basis)

2) Attention (Just stay with them and be gisting even on sweet nothing)

3) Good Sex (You must be a man, make her feel like a real woman)

But in all, what they want is that YOU SHOULD BE A FRIEND INDEED, also meaning spend your resources on them and let them be around you all the time. BUT WHAT MAN CAN DO THAT ALL THE TIME?

So women need to just know that Friendship is just being a friend and pls also the man has other thing s to mind, else he will also not grow.

Marriage is just give and take. Don't expect that man to be God. You only have a commitment that he is the only man you relate with and the man should know that she is the only woman that is his own.

do all to remain together, that is marriage. it does not mean the man will meet all your need nor the woman will meet all your expectations.. BUT JUST KEEP REMAINING TOGETHER despite your differences n goals, opinion, personality or fears.

IMAGINE HOW IT IS SWEET TO SAY: THIS IS MY WIFE OF TWENTY YEARS. WE REMAIN THE BEST FRIENDS (not best persons !!)

Even one guy at Computer village delivered Micro SD 32GB to me in Yenagoa by DHL in 2 days. Like I said its all about TRUST and we should just encourage those who have genuinely place their name on the online shopping services. Its a young industry in Nigeria.
BusinessRe: Konga Or Jumia: Which Is More Reliable? by sunnyprof: 9:54pm On Dec 08, 2013
I got my Sony Xperia Ultra from Konga. they delivered on the 6th day as promised (to south south within 6 days) tho I had to keep calling from tne 4th day.

The machine is working perfectly. I think I can trust them. Customer service on all my calls, tho average, but ok. Those complaining about poor customer service may be expecting too much. We need to realize that the respondent to your complain also need to do some in-house investigation in order to give you the correct status of your order.

My opinion is : lets encourage them, they are pioneers of a new phase of business, they need to catch up with further experience and I think they have done well so far despite the poor state of infrastructures for the hydra logistics for such business.

I remember SHOPFORLESS and a few others who ventured into online shopping and delivery parked out. Even dealdey is no more that active: Logistics and cost. Even when you send things on your own thru the courier companies, u need to follow it up else you spend time and for those who use Tranporters, Agofure, Abc, young shall grow etc. you can tell the story: ALL IS ABOUT TRUST AND PATIENCE.

I remember a Trader at Alaba Market delivered my Projector to me thru ABC Transport the following day after I paid into his account.
Christianity EtcRe: Women Wearing Trousers: Conversation With A Brother by sunnyprof: 6:54pm On Dec 05, 2013
vickyO: @ the bolded, what do you meanhuh
I think you should understand what I meant. God will give you understanding too.

You know there is a kind of wave in world domination today. Some fashion or thoughts are like a worldwide acceptable norm today, just like the issue of women wearing trousers. I remember somebody even in school those days puts her own argument on that 'its the modern thing, I cant afford to be in the dark ages please'. You wont know how these things are push, its called world dominion.

Some of this things could just be planted by the devil all over the world and pushed in such a way as to force the whole world to accept it as normal e.g. homosexuality (gay/lesbians). whereas it is from the pit of hell itself. And what do think is the aim the forces behind it? to make people disobey God 'Clear'!! or Look at the rave of 'Illuminatti' or the issue of 'Ogboni fraternity' or the issue of 'Beauty contests' etc

They start from subtle things. However, if we are wise in mind, you would know the dividing line, what to accept about them and what to reject. The Bible said 'study to show yourself approved, a man of God that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth'.

For instance a person feeling gay need to be psychological treated and corrected to regain the natural feeling for the opposite sex but not to force it on others turn to gay like him. It is a mental and nervous or perception disorder. 'God created us man and woman ...... and multiply' no room for gayishness.

vickyO: I attend a church wear most of them do not support trousers and all, and I enjoy their company.
The issue with some of them is that they tell you in your face that you'll go to hell.
I hate it. We are ready to live harmoniously with them but they are not.
Read this thread from beginning to the present level, they are the ones who have been saying we will go to hell for wearing trousers.
We are the ones under attack not them.
Go to any church in Naija, if a sister goes in with trousers on to e.g Deeper life, Mfm, they will so condemn her.

This thread was opened to instill knowledge in Christians and make then know that such trivial issue isn't an issue.
I understand you very well and am trying to address that area as well. But there are some who will still tell you the same and you will be glad the way they put it. The Bible said if our heart do not condemn us, then we are free.

But we should not give room to those people who are really not interested in making any effort to be righteous as well. they are the one who just wear trousers because it is the fashionable thing not just because it may be right to wear it, they don't care and we need to be careful those are not the people we are following. God has his part, we have our part to play.
Christianity EtcRe: Women Wearing Trousers: Conversation With A Brother by sunnyprof: 6:05pm On Dec 05, 2013
Those who just label a lady in trouser may also be making mistake. our motives is what God is looking at here.
Christianity EtcRe: Women Wearing Trousers: Conversation With A Brother by sunnyprof: 6:02pm On Dec 05, 2013
The OP has been able to present a balanced and more matured version of both sides of the divide on the wearing od trouser by women.

However, we divorce righteousness from nature and common sense. I righteousness means 'doing what is right', it is common sense that whatever we do also would not negate the way God made us naturally.

I have two examples here, they look funny but I once looked deep into it and had to come to some reasoning that whatever you do or feel is reasonable for to do and remain righteous at certain and every particular times are ok.

1. The lady wearing trouser and wants to 'answer the call of nature', as someone mentioned above, will just realise it is naturally not comfortable for her wear trouser at that time but a lady engineer who needs to go up the ladder or scaffold heights to do clamping or insulate an equipment would not be wrong being in trousers or long legged coveralls at that time.

2. It is a common tradition that Women covers their hair when praying (this is another area tho.) and some fundamental denominations women in christendom wear headtie at all times (may be except when within her house). This is also being viewed as legalistic. One day a lady who beliefs this covering for praying but does not believe that you must wear headtie everywhere but carrying one in her bag in case she needs to pray.
She went to process her document somewhere and there was a need to pray because of some hinderances and at each stage, had to cover her hair to pray. this happened several times that day. I found it very funny each time she brings out the headtie and return it to her bag. She really paid a price for her beleifs that day.

However, we need to wary of those who revels in the freedoms of wearing trouser, perming hair, praying without covering (all women controversial matter: na wa oo) and wants to start pointing to those who have bound themselves against those things as being in bondage, whereas you only just want to enjoy that freedom without really being righteous. You may just be looking for a condition where no one will be degrading you as unrighteous, just to make your conscience feel good. Then you are in more danger that person who is ready to go a little extra by add a little a little self effort (of course sometimes more than what the basic needed for righteousness).

So we need to be careful and accept each other once we are able to meet the first demand of 'Being Born again' and leave the rest to the spirit of God in that person to groom his mind. Some people are helped to keep their righteousness when they go extra mile and others wants the basic and enjoy the liberty still available for them without derailing.

Christianity EtcRe: All Catholics Will Go To Hell - Chris Okotie by sunnyprof: 6:39pm On Dec 03, 2013
the Bible says 'The Blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sins'

No other religion promises freedom from sin: Islam, chrislam, hinduism, budahism, shitoism, are Krishna, grail message, eckanka, saotism nor atheism etc.

Only Christianity promises and emphasizes freedom from sin and the only condition to get to heaven.

The unfortunate thing is that Catholicism deviated from this Bible New Testament (Jesus) Doctrine a little.

I guese this is the premise Okotie is looking at.
(forget about whether he is clean or not, that does not mean he can not speak the truth even he is not able to live it)

The above is my observation and opinion in all my years of considering all the religions put together.

You have just confirmed what the OP observed. 'una want make my bros them stop giving me money' is indicative you don't make money yourself.
It is a basic truth that each time a girl, lady or woman gets a good sum of money, they blow it up on clothes, shoes and 'face paints' unknowingly until it is getting to finish, they will now try to keep the left over which they will now manage to get to the bank to queue for collection when broke.

No investment, commitments or bills. No House plan, school fees nor 'empire building' men plan for to accomplish on a long term.

How many women/ladies actually bought their phones, tablet devices or cars by themselves (some do), most na dash

they don't have money !!!! All they got is from men (Father, brother, husband, fiancé, boyfriend, sugar daddy or mugu/maga)

Slizbeat: You cannot give hope to one that he will make heaven. Preach and teach the word and speak for yourself. The fact that you trained a child not to steal doesn't mean he will not indirect or directly steal when he faces the true life he has to live.
You missed the context I try to present. At least there are scripture passages that address the fact of going to heaven. This has to be spelt out by the church, not just worship, traditionalists also worship, if not better.

Also, The Bible said train up a child the way he should and when he is old, he will not depart from it. This has trended to be true over time.
RomanceRe: Nigerian Men Abroad Prefer Marrying From Home? - Why? by sunnyprof: 2:16pm On Dec 03, 2013
Two things I can figure here:

1. Nigerian ladies abroad has imbibed western culture. This shocks the guy's parents all the time. The guys are afraid because she knows what he knows very well: freedom (misunderstood to be lack of respect)

2. Some just want a woman that will at least imbibe the children with some home cultures so that each time they come home, he will not be put to shame locally.

However, I still se this happen in tribalistic settings where people want to mary only from there tribe so they send message home ' help me look for one good one ' (wey guys don puch here tire sef).

There are so many ladies you meet now, they will tell you there fiancé is in 'jand' or 'the states' but here they are the ones doing runs in Abuja and mostly in clubs day in day out. They meet at Easter and Xmass holidays when the lady pretends to be 'village wise' but educated (my Sarcasm pun)

RomanceRe: My Girlfriend Promised Me Sex If I Introduce Her To My Mum As My Fiancee by sunnyprof: 11:39am On Dec 03, 2013
Well. You have reasonably summarise the issue. Though you are not ripe for marriage yet, at least you have somebody to yourself and it shows you respects her too. Keep on with respects for each other, where you can keep sex out of the relationship and be good close friends.

She may become whatever later, wayward, jilt you or even call you mugu who cant floor his woman (worst case scenario) but I have always known this: SHE WILL EVER RESPECT YOU TO BE MORE MAN THAN ALL THOSE WH MAY BLEEP HER LATER (if she goes wayward eventually).

She is however feeling comfortable with you and only wants an assurance from your homefront, that's why she is ready to do anything, including bleeping you, to keep the relationship. Moreover, when you introduce her, it will be easy for her to know if you are not betrothed to another Girl, then she can go all ahead as your own girl to do anything with you.

Remember girls are aware of men who privately promise marriages and after bleeps will dump them, and if they get to family levels she is nowhere.
