An oil-rich nation has plenty of oil and little population with such level of oil production that when the entire population shares the volume of oil produced, the figure is appreciable. Nigeria in terms of gross earning, the highest we have had so far was $60 billion. If this is divided by 160 million, then you will find that Nigeria cannot be called an oil-rich nation just like you can call Libya, Qatar or Saudi Arabia.

Until corruption is being punished, it will remain our culture to steal 'govt money'.

What we call 'Corruption' here is like giving it a beautiful bridal name that can be tolerated. To me it is simply 'WICKEDNESS IN THE HIGH PLACES' because if the exhorbitant and inflated costs of social projects were taken and the basic Facilities were put in place, it will not matter much, but all the money is gone and nothing was done which was to be for the benefit of the Society - that is WICKEDNESS, ROBBERY AND INHUMAN.

For instance, Electricity was all we needed for some meaningful living, it has been acknowledged by all governments and trillions of money spent, but we still remain at the level of 1973 where we got 'light' 7 hours in 7days; yet nobody had gone to jail for 'eating' the money without doing his job. Rather, all the former MD,, GMs and Contractors of ECN, NEPA, PHCN are now our elderstatesmen and rolling in millions. You merely call that 'corruption'. That is WICKEDNESS joo!!

What are you really at by now in all this zealous arguments and lambastings?

Are telling the person who started the thread that she must use make up and wear trouser to prove that she is a real Christian? or what?

I think you are taking it too far.

The issue of dressing, make up, ornaments and all sorts is like a middle road approach in Christiandom. Me thinks.

My take is this:

1. if you use make up and wear trouser till you die and gets to heaven to discover that it is a sin, what will be your fate? (because what Frosbel is saying is like "you must use it else you are missed it"

2. If you don't do make up or wear trouser as a lady, and you find that it does not matter in heaven, what did you miss?

3. What is make up? Adding something to correct what is missing? is it? Do you then mean you are not good enough the way God created you or how? What I am sure of is that God wants you to cover your unclothedness. As for make up I don't know.

4. Trouser is western, not African nor jewish nor greek. So as African, why not be the african God made you. Wear African dress. the guy talking of the writers of the Bible should know they are not western also, they are Jewish or greek, so if they were inspired to write these things, are they also against western tradition of wearing trousers?

5. Why do you need make up is what matters, are defective you need to patch that part up? if so then check if God agrees to that too.

6. Normal connotation depicts trouser as a man's dress, even in the western world. Skirt is for women. Some circumstances led to women wearing trousers and the origin of the use of make up is doubtful to be righteous somehow (my thinking), so be careful how you buy into it.

7. I heard all the time Christians say 'as many as are led by the spirit of God are the sons of God'. Have you ever been led by the spirit of God on how you dress? Were you ever led by the spirit of God to put on trouser as a lady anyday(I doubt)nor is there anytime the holy spirit tells you the make up to apply for some reasons? I want to think you may times (often) it happen in the opposite, not what anybody said but what you feel or cool with in your spirit. True?

8. Make your choice based on all these things. May God give you understanding.

You need to see the fabulous wealth the ex-millints leaders are displaying currently : Buildings, cars, business etc. or our old politicians whose wealth seems un-ending for their family to enjoy and their children basking in stupendious wealth and positions all over the country and outside. You will envy them and start to regret why you or your parents were so moral, patriotic or hardworking making nothing worthwhile than your ordinary daily need.

However, I still have one believe, old age has a way of showing the difference. When we get to the age of 60,70, 80 .......etc., we will really know those who have really worked!! Look around for those signs e.g. while my Father is relaxing briefly enjoying the his retirement without stress from the little resource at his disposal, people like Anenih who are his age mate do not have a room to rest, it is now there still doing hardwork travelling day and night just to keep armasing money which they may never get enough and still be filled with regrets as well. Their homes are never settled, the world around them is fear.
