IBEXY:This is serious . , . . . The police must be stretched and tired. They're clearly outnumbered by the disgruntled youths/yobs |
r231:Ohh - Well I would get out of there as soon as possible. Trouble is building (check out sky news or BBC news) As a precaution take your personal belongings with you (including any food you leave in the fridge) as your place of work may burn down tonight. And if your wearing new trainers dont run when your on the street - you may get arrested as a suspected looter. Good Luck, |
Mods - This is Front Page material. . . . . |
r231:Your going home to Hackney? I recommend you avoid the area and consider your properties looted - |
denzel2009:Yeah - i heard Statford is scheduled for some looting tonight. But 'Hackney' will be severe if it erupts - there are too many poor people and ethnic minorities there. Seems they dont give a F, k They are looting right now in Hackney and its not even 5pm. |
Looks like rioting is about to start in 'Hackney' - |
buzugee:Its more complex than that . . . A lot of those people have no job and have no hope of getting a job. They have no prospects - and are destined for a life of crime and poverty. To make matters worse its the same plight their parents were subject too - however many of the previous generation were more prepared to suffer to make it in life. I fully understand their frustration - living of benefits or on minimum wage is no way to live life. Sadly, the same can be found throughout London - Both whites, blacks, asians, are all feeling it. London is a ticking time bomb. |
redsun:Oyibo in the area dey panick. . . . Think they are calling for the army to be put on the streets to protect them from rampaging 'Negroes'. |
buzugee:Whites were there looting - -even jewish people were onsite causing mayhem. However, the media are reporting it as just 'n.iggas looting' as usual. |

The Associated Press has learned that more than 20 Navy SEALs from the unit that killed Osama bin Laden were among those lost in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan. The operators from SEAL Team Six were flown by a crew of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. That's according to one current and one former U.S. official. Both spoke on condition of anonymity because families are still being notified of the loss of their loved ones. One source says the team was thought to include 22 SEALs, three Air Force air controllers, seven Afghan Army troops, a dog and his handler, and a civilian interpreter, plus the helicopter crew. The sources thought this was the largest single loss of life ever for SEAL Team Six, known as the Naval Special Warfare Development Group. http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/breaking-news/index.ssf/2011/08/afghanistan_helicopter_crash_k.html |
A Pension Fund is there to Fund Pensioners - not infrastructure development. It should not be risked or gambled with. No doubt certain western countries invest these funds to make more money - but this often backfires. Just look at the worldwide stockmarkets where pension funds have traditionally been invested. When these speculators (Sanusi in this instance) loose the money its never them that suffer. |
Sounds like a good idea. But this pension fund isn't under the control of the CBN, is it? Also, I wonder what the current N2 trillion is being invested in. . .
Your bloody crazy!! That the CBN should raid the pension pot of Nigerian's who have worked hard all their lives to invest in infrastructure? How about you consider the position of pensioners before making such a ridiculous comment. |
Is the problem that they do not have money to buy food or there is no food to buy? This is not solely about being poor - its about famine caused by nature. If anything they need to up their birth rate before the become extinct. |

The 'Revenue Allocation Formula' should be amended in favour of people in the South South/South East. They need to be compensated for the damage oil extraction has done to their environment. |
I suspect IBB's name will come into the mix soon. Somehow I dont think he was just sitting back relaxing when all this treachery was going on. |
LAGOS — Twenty-Five displaced flood victims in Lagos State, who were accused of demonstrating against alleged maltreatment by government officials at the Agbowa transit camp, where they were kept, have been docked before an Ikeja Chief Magistrate Court. The accused persons, who were, yesterday, arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and arson before Chief Magistrate Olufemi Isaac, were said to have conspired and attempted to set on fire the Lagos State Temporary Resettlement Camp, Agbowa in Ikorodu. The offence is said to be contrary to Sections 444(1) and 249(d) Criminal Code Law Cap 617 Vol. 2 Laws of Lagos State 2003. They pleaded not guilty to the charge. They were granted bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum, with evidence of tax payment. However, following the court order, they were moved to the Kirikiri prisons custody pending when they would perfect their bail conditions. They are among those the government had resettled in the camp following the flood that hit the state recently. The accused persons were said to have threatened to set the camp on fire on July 29, when they felt government officials handling the disbursement of government welfare packages had short-changed them. Vanguard gathered that those who protested were up to 69, while only 25 of them brought to court, yesterday. http://odili.net/news/source/2011/aug/2/331.html |

Soludo - Lagos 2015? (Just throwing it out there) https://www.jaguda.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/soludo.jpg |
So we can deduce who ordered the 'hit' on Abiola. But who planned 'Abacha's' death? Was it the same person? If it was the person, from today onwards he must be known as the most feared 'Nigerian - Ever - ![]() What's obvious is that a certain tribe (hausa) constantly take avantage of the treacherous nature of another tribe (yoruba) for political advantage. This presents a dilema - which one of them is actually the most wicked? ![]() But deep down we all know this - So far the revelations released do not shock me at all. Al-mustapha - keep singing - ![]() |

Thursday, July 28, 2011 http://odili.net/news/source/2011/jul/28/501.html The burden created by the payment of the N18, 000 new minimum wage recently approved by the Federal Government, appears to have weighed down on the finances of the Lagos State Government as the state Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola has imposed some austerity measures to cut cost of running government in the state. Daily Sun learnt in an executive order circulated by the state government that the new austerity measures, such as discontinuation of oversea trips for government officials, television set/decoders, subsidy on petroleum products, money spent on frills and jamborees T-shirts/caps, food, car maintenance, among others have been banned. The executive order dated July 12 sent to the Lagos Head of Service, Mr. Adeseye Ogunlewe, ministries, departments and agencies specifically stated that the measures were first in the series of more measures to be introduced by the state government. Amid lamentation over the measures the governor said: “It has become expedient for the state government to strictly monitor the way money is spent on governance as the impact of the minimum wage will no longer permit excessive spending by the government. “The minimum wage has depleted the fund available to the government for social services by N2 billion every month. “From all computations, the Lagos government will need between N5.5 billion and N7 billion to pay its over 50, 000 workers and political appointees against a monthly revenue profile of between N18 billion and N20 billion. Salaries will gulp about 40 per cent of the state’s expenditure.” He stated that: “The overall impact is that government spending on wages and emoluments have increased by about N2 billion. “The implications are that government is deprived of financial resources that were hitherto deployed to the funding of social services such as schools, water supply, waste management security and other amenities which helped to improved the lives of citizens.” It was clearly stated that the governor had scrapped the grants for supports for private or individual problems or sponsorships, except for very deserving educational and medical causes. Fashola explained that the austerity measures does not affect bursary and scholarships to deserving students but warned that conscientious efforts would be made to reduce the training of personnel home and abroad |
