Party flag bearer with an Agenda for Governance almost 9 months in advance,

Buhari, won and 6months later doesn't have an economic team, not even an agenda and 3 years later, no direction, least the vindictive anti-coruption war against opposition.

Buhari has made me realize that wisdom is not common, even the High lacks it too.

They were busy watching PDP national convention and forgot to conduct congress in zamfara, even fixed a national convention to elect an already elected lifeless man (apologies to Donald Trump).

Lets see how it plays out, we are watching with PDP.

I was in that environment, and I can say categorically that you are wrong in your assumptions.

Because a few civilians do blood money and yahoo yahoo, does it make all the civilians corrupt and unredeemable?

You can't tag they all corrupt because of an action of a few, and refuse to tag them gallant as a result of actions of majority.

This is so unfortunate that when we are celebrating Christmas, the soldiers are putting their lives in line to ensure we have a seamless celebration.

They gave their nights so we could sleep.
They gave their lives that we may live comfortably.
They deserve our respect.

Religion / Re: 14 Reasons Why I Love Pastor Chris Oyakhilome by Sunshyne200(m): 6:54pm On Dec 17, 2017
nairamaniac:

We as humans are connected to the things we believe in or love through physical-representations such as people, pictures, etc.

For instance I love rap music. My express my love for it through Rappers I adour such as NAS, EMINEM AND BIGGIE as my TOP-3.

Same way I love basketball and adour anything that MICHAEL JORDAN has to do with it.

Now I gush over nas, Eminem, biggie and MJ. I have their pictures everywere on my wall. These people represent what I love and believe in which are basketball and music.

Connect this to the op, perhaps he loves and practicalises Christianity as much as I practicalise my music and basketball.

What Michael Jordan, Eminem nas and biggie are to me for music and b ball is what pastor Chris is to him in his religion and to an extent, to God.

Cause pastor Chris inspires him towards God.

I can aware if the op had said this much about leonel messi or Christian Ronaldo or wizkid, neither u nor seun would have responded the same way.

Bottom line, is leave people to express themselves towards the things they believe in and desist from undue sensitivity.

The op didn't cross the line.

Take note I am not a fan of pastor Chris. I admire his teaching & preaching skills more than anything else he has to offer e.g his healings, miracles, tithe-polycies and tongue-speaking, becos I have my doubts and reservations towards these part of what these men of God occasionally do.

But whoever believes in them, I don't judge the person.

Last bullet: I don't HV seun's picture. The only ways I can express my admiration for him is by spending countless hours on his handwork and defending him to detractors around me.

Cheers!

CC: Sunshyne200

You couldn't have said it better, imagine if everyone had your reasoning, terrorism would be a thing of the past, same way he may like Messi so much to watch him play week in week out, so we love pastor Chris.

I needed not say much.

Thanks

Oga Seun, I disagree with you on this one. I am far from a church fanatic, its so bad that I missed church today.
But people should be free of expressing themselves how they want.

Please how has the op "worshiped" pastor Chris here?

The word here should be inspired not idolized.

Hope you know you seun is a bigger inspiration to most of us than pastor Chris is to us.

Would you say we worship you if we were to express how much you inspire us?

Trust me, it may be better/longer than the epistle by the OP.

You made all the sense in this world.
I hope he reads your mention...

Thanks for being bold to say it as it is.

Religion / Re: Has Daddy Freeze's #FreeTheSheeple Movement Stopped Anyone From Paying Tithe? by Sunshyne200(m): 1:05pm On Dec 10, 2017
safarigirl:
do you know who started Christianty?

The Catholic church, do you know how Protestants came about? By questioning this Catholic church and insulting the leaders, that is what Martin Luther did before the Protestants came about, so if you are not a Catholic your church is as a result of someone insulting the ORIGINAL church, so, what makes you think the church should be above questioning?

You must first of all separate the teachings of Christianty from the DOCTRINES of a Church.... Freeze is not challenging the religion, he is challenging the doctrines of some churches.

Do you think it is all churches that pay tithe? Or you think your variance of Christianity is the only one? There are Roman Catholic Christians, there are Orthodox Christians, there are Protestants, there are Coptic Chrostians, do you think each of these variants preach tithe?

Freeze is a Christian battling the DOCTRINES of certain denominations and he supports his beliefs with the grundnorm of the religion, the Holy Bible.... So, wipe that idea from your mind that Freeze is against Christianity

OK.
But like I said, I ain't against his faith, but against the fact that he has a problem with what we do.
It's disrespectful to us as individuals to come and question what we believed in, and make those we follow look like rogues, he crossed his jurisdiction.

If by anyways he is not conforming with their message, I think all he needs to do was either:
* start a church where he won't take tithe, or
* keep quiet and let us perish in our (supposed) ignorance.

As a Christian, understanding the scripture is Holy Ghost inspired same as documenting the scripture.

So would freeze say, God told him to preach what he did, or he felt(human senses) to do it?

This is religion, Man's connection to a Supreme being, it's not like a constitution, theories, hypothesis or rules and regulations that can be opinionated on, it's divine and if he isn't divinely chosen, he should leave it to those who think they are called.

Like I said, I ain't against what he believes, but he should respect peoples decisions.

With all he said, I can deduce that he believes in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, but would it be morally right if he came and questioned the Muslims faith and idol worshippers because of something he sure knows and is certain?

I am angry that he isn't respecting my right to worship and do whatever with my life and faith.

Off the records.
You are an amazing writer, I can't compete

safarigirl:
You mist first understand that the anti-tithe crusade was not about tithes

Rather, it is about questioning the truth in the words of MOGs as compared to the word of God.

If people are still paying tithe it is because they have reviewed their stand (for some) and chosen to stick to it.....but it has made so many question other doctrines

This question is like asking "Has Nnamdi Kanu's struggle made Nigeria accept Biafra?"

While NK did not get Biafra, it has brought up so many more national issues to the front and so, he is successful to some extent

Would you go to a church were Freeze is the Pastor? Now why do you take his message as Holy Ghost inspired?

I am not against his opinion as he is entitled to it, but for the arrant disrespect to peoples faith and religion.

In this country, we have liberty to believe any thing, to worship anything to serve anything religiously, but he came out and condemn what we have believed and even question our wisdom, he is no different from boko haram who think they know it all.

You can't say freeze started Christianity, some of us were Christians before he was born, now he comes to make us look stupid because of something we believe in, and even insult our leaders.

That's Africa for you.

I didn't want to quote you, but don't know why I did.

Sorry if offended.

I was with a top politician in my state a few days ago, and he said my friend..... your state has been shared, likewise Nigeria. "This country is dead"

It's so unfortunate, as I was having a discussion with someone who has hope in this nation, and I asked him who was going to be next Nigerians president, and our options were Buhari, Atiku, Kwakwanso, lamido etc and then I said, when are they going to step down; 2027... So for the next 10years, Nigeria is gonna be the same or backwards...

I have lost all hope.
