komekn: One word for you.
Camelion Someone criticizes Ighalo for his poor run of form in GWG, you tag him hater. Ighalo puts in a great performance and scores goals, you shout “where are the haters” The “hater” praises Ighalo for his great games and improved form, you call him chameleon. What exactly do you want? For people to grovel at your feet and name you the one that must not be questioned? It shows how emotional, rather than analytical as they'd like us to believe, people on this thread can be. A lot of people are more concerned about being right and able to say “I told you so” than seeing the team progress even if it is in a way different from how we want. Ofcourse this goes both ways (both “camps”). |

Asking for players to be thrown away without replacement. Lol.
Just yesterday charlsemeka was saying also that we should do away with likes of Ogu, Onazi, Mikel and Joel. Ok, name replacements asides Eze he was mentioning Billings and Ejaria. Players that don't even have Nigerian passports yet.
I particularly like those 3 words u used NEW, UNTESTED and UNPROVEN. Those are the kind of players that are always the best players for them. Nigerian fans will not cease to amaze. They will not learn. That is why every World Cup we keep producing the youngest team with an inexperience tag, calling them a team for the future. Only to throw them out again looking for another group of "young, Hungary fresh bloods".
I am whole-heartedly with Rohr on his players selection. The only player I wished he had included was Ebere Eze. Team building is a gradual process. Massively throwing away old players and flooding the team with new players will only cause more harm to the team.
Safari like a quote you made recently " there is no best player anywhere ". This same Iheanacho they are attacking if he was not playing for the Super Eagles yet and is posting this same kind of performance at Leicester City we for no hear word here. They would have hyped him to high heavens and even threaten to kill Rohr if he doesn't Cap him. Thank you! Some guys here were making demaria gray seem like the next big star just to prove kelechi was useless last season, even when there was nothing spectacular about him asides showboating and selfish play. If Kelechi were to be foreign born, the same people would have been shouting for him to be invited and capped. But since he's already ours, he's ordinary. We just want to be inviting anybody that bears a Nigerian name and was born outside Nigeria. |

Danielnino00: Bla bla bla
Let Iorfa play some games this season first then we will reconsider calling him up.. Most of the players u hype here are at best championship materials.. They only perform.in the championship. From Tammy to Iorfa to Aluko...
Later u will b telling stories on how they rejected big money move to other clubs out of loyalty... Loyalty that has rendered them inconsequential at their clubs When it's certain players, there's always an excuse...loyalty, prejudice by the manager while quoting some reports where convenient or some behind the scene exclusive knowledge no one else knows about or can corroborate. But when it comes to other players, they are not good enough, even when it's the same situation with the other players. In this case, we should not believe whatever the media reports (obviously because it doesn't support the narrative being pushed). This is the pattern I've carefully observed. Talk about sentimental bias and emotive prejudice |

BlackManta: You damn right. Cavill is still Superman. They just having issues with his contract and uncertain future in DC. WB wanted him to cameo in Shazam, that is how issue of contract arose and the media is blowing everything out of proportion. Until WB or Cavill officially call it quits, I will not believe anything the media sells to us.
About Afleck. Ben is still Batman. Any report of Ben quiting Batman is fake rumors and speculations.
The only report that is 100% true is that Matt Reeves is casting a younger Batman for the movie. The Batman movie is set in his younger years, long before MOS and BVS. So it pretty reasonable that a 40+ year old Ben won't be the major Batman character. He might still appear in future Batman films cuz he is yet to quit. I've just been shaking my head at all the lamentations on this thread. It's obvious people aren't aware of what's really going on, just fear mongering media speculations. The Cavil issue is just the guy and his agent negotiating new contract terms. No one has called it quits, at least not yet. The batman movie is going to be a flashback story also and they won't want to use the de-aging technology like Tony stark in civil war or Nick Fury in Capt. Marvel. Ben Affleck is probably even going to be a producer on the movie. |

Icon4s: Na so.
It was even during all those arguments I learnt about the major ethnic groups and languages in Ghana. And which players belonged to which ethnic group and which name belong to which Ethnic group. Some Nigerians will go and form one fake moniker and will bear Ghanaian names like Koffi_kwame. And then be making comments like "we Ghanaians should give up. Nigerians are better than us....bla-bla-bla". And the Ghanaians will be smart enough to tell him he is no Ghanaian that no Ghanaian can say such a thing( And very true). And they will go further to say who bears Koffi Kwame? The Nigerian Doesn't know they are names from different ethnic Groups. Just like someone bearing Efe_Dalung. Lol..
Those guys no know joy at all. They will just digress from football and start insulting somebody's President and economy.
Nigerians called them Gayna while they called us Nigayrians. Looking back at those days I cannot but laugh. Looks childish to me now though. @The bold...it's more like their naming convention. Koffi is a guy born on Friday and Kwame is a guy born on Saturday. So when someone calls himself Koffi Kwame... |

komekn: Using the bench mark of Rohr who has called a B team player from Porto.
In this regard there is justification for his call up Porto and Liverpool are not on the same level.
Add to the fact that Bobby Adekanya is the most outstanding player in Liverpool U23 arguably. Then he should be invited.
My opinion is the same as yours he has to go on loan and prove himself in the game first and or make Liverpool first team. But Rohr and NFF terms of selection create the rationale for his call up. Hi boss! Permit me to point out this your, in my opinion, hypocritical post. What happened to basing call ups on top level performances at top level clubs in top level leagues? If someone had called for, say a chukwueze, citing this your excuse, I'm sure you would have started a rant. So because Nwakali has been invited unjustifiably, it's ok to invite Adekanye. Of course it's because it's Adekanye. Basically, since the rule has been broken before, we can as well tear up the rule book. Me I am just saying what I see sha o. I'll return to my ghost mode. |

Minemrys: c0ntrary to that, its the eddie brock story that isn't true to character. Brock was a photographer/journalist who had feud with Peter parker and happened to be where parker was rem0ving the symbiote suit. The symbiote got on eddie and the ven0m began. Thawne's character is that of a professor whose family saw him as a n0n achiever, the world was crashing down on him, he recreated the flash accident, went back in time only to realise instead of taking over as a hero in the absence of flash, he was rather a psychopathic villain and enemy of the flash. That al0ne, broke his psychosis to the point he became obsessed with flash and bec0ming better than him. His story is that of a man who lost his self worth as a result of criticisms and attack fr0m all c0rners that drove him insane and with the urge to prove himself. What i wr0te is way different fr0m eddie brock. I don't get why you all hate it when its practically Eobard Thawne's story. I only added s0me plotlines to humanise him and to present his P. O. V cos n0 villain sees himself as the bad guy. Whats bad with my RF m0vie idea? What problems do u have with it? I admire ur h0nesty though. Thanks. Exploring Thawne's motivations is a good idea, but it doesn't mean they have to make a reverse flash movie to do it. A flash movie can properly show why reverse flash does what he does. However, the story has to be right and the motivations have to make sense. Your story would be ok if that were the actual story of the reverse flash. Except ofcourse it would be an intentional character modification, which is not unusual when adapting comic book stories to live action. In that case, it remains to be seen how it will be received by the audience, critics and comic book fans. |

Minemrys: lol, can u imagine the plot points they could with if the made a RF film? Start with characterizing a science obsessed professor with a dark upbringing whose life c0mes crashing due to the acti0ns of those around him. B0om! He cracks the speedforce code, gains super speed bt then the govt c0mes in to detain him and c0nfiscates his research. He escapes only to find out that those who were closest to him betrayed him. He tries to take care of them but ends up time travelling; a weap0n he uses to wipe his enemies, but then, the speedforce gets to him. He battles the speedforce then ends up travelling to the flash's time era. The flash battles him and has him locked up in star labs. The end of part 1. Part 2: RF doesn't kn0w or understands flash's hostility to him then is told that he killed s0me N0ra Allen which he didn't. He tries to proof his inn0cence but gets treated harshly. He escapes and tries to go back to his time period bt the flash battles him all through. He starts developing a deep seated hatred for Barry, then theorises that if only he could go back way b4 Barry was born to kill Nora, n0ne of what happened would've happened. Barry follows bt the speedforce brings them to the very m0ment n0ra was killed in the original timeline. RF kills her, then he's blasted away. He wakes up in a desolated field with war going on. The end of part 2. Part 3 becomes flashpoint. I don't think this will work. This is not even the story of reverse flash. The guy is obsessed with Barry Allen and he got his powers by recreating Barry's accident. If your suggestion is the plot to be used, it is the same fans who will scream that it is a wrong representation of the character. It seems more like an Eddie Brock/Venom story than a reverse flash story. |

Blonchilli: I don't think so. Thanos won't be killed easily. notice when Samuel L Jackson was disintegrating he was paging someone? That's Captain Marvel, she's a human pilot that had the blood of a powerful alien race infused in her which gives her powers one can only imagine. The blood of the Mar-vell. She then has power of flight and energy manipulation, which means the infinity stones power will be limited against her. She can see through its reality manipulation and even use the power against Thanos. She's one of the few marvel superheroes to defeat Thanos in combat. A captain marvel film will be realized and the timeline is between Infinity wars and Avengers 4. Which means she won't be affected by Thanos purge of the universe. Captain Marvel movie is an origin story that takes place in the 90s. It's a time piece. Two movies are coming out before Avengers 4 and they both happen chronologically before Infinity war. |

komekn: In all honesty I should be.
But because I have a little bit of let's say insider knowledge and know the reasons he is not invited has nothing to do with football. But more to do with NFF politics.
Don't believe all you read Rohr is a an excellent coach that understands how to navigate our politics. He is still able to be influenced it's not a one man band where selection is concerned. I don't like to get into long arguments but I just want to point out something I keep noticing. I've been following this thread for a long time now, and I see the patterns that play out in discussions here. Double standards! You keep telling people not to believe everything they read, yet you quote articles and comments that support your argument and present them as fact that should be accepted. Apparently, whatever you say is true, is true and people are supposed to just take it? People here defended Kelechi when he was having difficulty and suggested the coach was not fair to him and the system did not favour him. Whether that was true or not is another matter. However, according to you, he was not good enough and thus his predicament. Those making 'excuses' for him were just sentimental and it was all 'emotive bias', etc. Now you are making excuses for Iorfa, his coach had an agenda and some conspiracy theory brouhaha. Even if he was that good, why did he leave for the lowly 'kick and follow' (i believe in your words) Ipswich? Why didn't another premier league team or at least a better championship side snap him up? I'm not trying to downplay Iorfa's quality. Just trying to point the flaw in your stance. Like I said earlier, I'm not one to get into any back and forth so quotes may not necessarily be replied. I'll just leave it at that. Fellow eagulians, I hail. Over and out! |

If a player can play a role perfectly, then l am willing to overlook his shortcomings in roles that are not primarily his(If you grab what l mean). lf we have a Mickel and Joel obi in the GWG, then we may not need a very offensive Ndidi in midfield. Also Ndidi was involved in the assist for Leicester today, and also gave a timely pass to Vardy which was squandered. If Vardy had converted that pass from Ndidi, perhaps there'd be less of an argument right now. |

TheSuperNerd: I dont know what you guys are trying to get at.... But it is clear that Leicester conceeded because of Mahrez. Nacho gave him a pass (after winning the ball off two players) and yes it was slightly behind Mahrez, Mahrez still got the ball under control and had the choice to go wide right instead of trying to do a maradona when surrounded by three players. Iheanacho was in position and keeping himself onside and an further step from him will be offside.... So the fault is on Mahrez.
So after Mahrez lost the ball, the ball was fed to William and Ndidi had the chance to stop him but he was afraid of the card so he kinda let William thru and viola! William picked out Morata with a beautiful thru pass and morata just did the rest one on one with Schmeichel....
Gbam! So Nacho has no fault in this at all. If for say I no dey watch naa, I go just dey hear this one today. Na wa ooo My thoughts too. |
