Why give a referee a whistle and still stop him from using it? Why not allow the judiciary to conduct the elections, appoint the governors and other functionaries since the votes don't count anymore. I hate unnecessary waste of resource.

Cost of production for ISPs in India and Nigeria are not the same

Also put in the lack of electricity and infrastructure in the country.Telecommunication companies here spend millions or even billions on disel everyday

The problem is directly proportional to the government not the ISP
What stops them from going solar like their India and Chinese counterpart? They prefer to be buying fuel at high cost. The lack of innovation over here is the cause.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: NPOWER: Important News For The Exiting Batch A And B Beneficiaries 9/8/2020 by SUPERPACK: 1:52pm On Aug 09, 2020
LastNL:
The existing lack of information that the outgoing NPower beneficiaries nationwide are faced with is now creating issues across the states of the Federation. Recall that when in late June 2020, the Federal Government through the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development announced that it is beginning the intake of new applicants for the Batch C edition of the program, it also announced that it will be letting go of the previous beneficiaries of the Batch A and B of the program.

However, the non payment of the Batch A and B beneficiaries, the alleged fake thank you march to the President by this same group and the latest rumor making rounds and insinuating that the Batch A and Batch B beneficiaries should update their information on the NPower portal has caused a lot of people to begin asking questions begging or answers.

The AkwaIbom state beneficiaries are not left out as they approached the state Government to come to their rescue in questioning appropriate authorities responsible for the Npower program so that they could obtain the truth. In response, the State Government immediate swung into action the request of it's people by writing to the Focal Person in charge of the NPower programme in AkwaIbom State.

The letter captioned: "REQUEST OF INFORMATION ON THE EXITING NPOWER BENEFICIARIES" sought among other things to know the way forward of the Batch A and B NPower Beneficiaries and what should be the next line of action of the beneficiaries. In response, the state's Focal person responded, setting the records straight and informing the state beneficiaries on behalf of the Federal Government.

It is worthy of note that the contents of this letter is not only meant for AkwaI bomites but for all Nigerians as the State's focal person was speaking for the Federal Government in general and the ministry of of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development in particular.

In the light of this truth, all Nigerians and beneficiaries of the Batch A and Batch B edition of the Npower programme should please note that this letter is a saving grace which will bring an end to the mysteries and confusions surrounding the Batch A and B NPower beneficiaries.

The letter as written by Dr Godwin Akpan, the Akwa Ibom State Focal Person in charge of NPower in the state which is in response to the first letter of inquiry written to him by the Akwa Ibom State Government reads as follows:

The world may end before next RCCG Convention – Pastor Adeboye Warns ChristianS

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has warned his congregation to get ready for the end of the world

next big programme of the church, PM News reports. The famous Nigerian cleric, therefore warned Christians to be careful in all their ways and avoid all dark activities.
He also said that since the lives of everyone is in the hand of God, he alone has the final say on when a person will breathe his or her last. Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the RCCG (Source: UGC) Source: Depositphotos Adeboye said: “The Lord may return before we have another convention. I don’t know when Jesus may return, but if any of you fails to make it to heaven, it will not be because I didn’t tell you the whole truth. God can be wonderfully angry. “Watch your steps those of you who are playing games with the all-seeing God.
God is angry with the wicked every day.” Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that condolence messages were still pouring in for the family of a former Nigerian beauty queen, Pastor Ibidunni Ituah-Ighodalo, and the latest to express his sympathy was Adeboye. The man of God took to his official pages on social media to react to the death of Ibidunni. Kogi guber: Huge number of APC aspirants is due to my efforts, says Gov Bello In a post shared on his verified Instagram page, Adeboye noted that hearing the news of Ibidunni’s death was really saddening.
He, however, noted that the deceased clergywoman was in a better place. “Hearing the news of @ibidunni_ighodalo ‘s demise was really saddening but I know that she is in a better place right now,” Adeboye said. The RCCG pastor went on to pray for the family of the deceased and her husband, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo.

Crime › Re: Man Recounts How A POS Attendant Almost Swindled Him by SUPERPACK: 10:04am On Aug 04, 2020
Molan123:
A Twitter user identified as Kelly Ovie has narrated how an attendant at a Point Of Service Shop, almost swindled him of his hard earned morning.

According to Kelly, he went to a POS shop to make some financial transactions from his first bank account into his Zenith Bank.

While he was at the shop, he recalled that the attendant at the shop had asked him to call out the details of his account loudly to her, unknown to him that the attendant and her friend had conspired to defraud him by showing him fake transaction.

Continuation.
.
Kelly said he left with the expectation that the delay in the transaction was due to the network issue but was shocked when he came back after 5hours and demanded to see the transaction history as he is yet to receive the money.
He wrote, Today, I went out to a POS station to credit money from my First Bank account (which I don’t use for internet banking) to my Zenith Bank account (which I use for internet banking). It was to enable me send cash to a friend and also to make some other financial transactions.
After successfully withdrawing the money, I asked the cashier, a young girl who should be about 15 – 17 years, to send it to my other account as per my intention. She asked for my details, and I gave it to her.
Rather unusually, she asked that I read it out loud for her and soon after showed me a debit alert of the transaction being successful. I didn’t get an alert on my end to corroborate, but I left assuming it was some network issue.
Some five hours later, when I still hadn’t received a credit alert, I went back to make complaint. She claimed it was probably the network issues with banks and that I should give it some more time.
Reflexively, I requested to recheck for the debit alert, which she had received just to be sure there hadn’t been a mix-up. She obliged.
I went through the alert information and discovered something funny. There was a number attached to the “First Bank” debit message she received, which I instinctively considered odd. I called the number and her friend’s phone rang right before us.
Long story short, this demon had me read my account number and name for confirmation, just to have her friend type out a debit alert; her friend whose number had been saved as “First Bank.” I was furious and was near physically violent, restraining only because she was a child.
But I was angry, and I yelled at her, which attracted a crowd. I explained to them what had happened. Someone called her employer and I had my money returned to me.
She had been running this scheme for a some time on unsuspecting people. The fact that you can’t even trust guys these days.
Things dey occur for this country!!!

Family › Re: Can We Say Our Daddy Is Proud? by SUPERPACK: 9:39pm On Jul 23, 2020
Deepocean:
Let me go straight to the point.

My daddy is good when it comes to financial fatherly responsibility but lacks fatherly pampering and caring towards the children and wife.

This issue of returning home without first greeting those people at home annoys me a lot.

Whenever he is returning from town he would just enter like that, not greeting anyone with the expectation of we the children and our mummy to first greet him even if we are not aware that he has arrived.

What happened today annoyed me so much, he came in some minutes to 8 this night from the town, I came home from my base a few weeks back to do some things at home but Covid couldn't let me return as planned, I have been ill for the past three days and I am the only one with my mummy, mummy has been doing all the house chores alone since when I was ill.

As daddy got home I was expecting him to at least check on me in my room to greet me for being ill, but he didn't, although I wasn't that concerned about that because I knew him already, and besides I don't get too emotional with things like that.

But, I was emotional and concerned with my mummy, she has been the only one doing all the domestic works at home since all these days. I could not help her, hence, she got tired this evening and had to sent someone in the neighborhood to buy her analgesic to relieve her pains.

She was also resting in her room when daddy came in, my daddy could not just check on anyone even when he didn't see anyone while entering and could not see anyone in the sitting room, of him knowing fully well that I would be inside my room all he was saying was why didn't they switch on the lamp that the house was dark.

I was really annoyed hearing that from him, his food had been ditched already on the table in the sitting room, all he did was just to eat and went to bed.

Honestly speaking I am very angry with him, and this is someone that everyone will be running up and down at any slightest illness of his.

What is too special there for a father to enter and just greet everyone at home?

Is this character a pride or what's can it be called?
His house, his rules.

My problem with transcribing is the time frame.
I use about 2 hours 30 minutes to transcribe a 4 minutes audio. Anyway out of this?.
May be because you are new. Even FC Uk of 4 mins won't consume that much time. 4 mins should not take more than 1hr 10mins to finish. The more you learn the lesser time it will take you.

Everything he said is the plain truth.. Alot of Nigerians don't know about processors, which happens to be the brain of a phone. Forget ram in fact..
What concerns the average Nigerian with processor, what many want is the battery and ability to chat and make calls. The only people that disturb themselves with processors are those that have enough time to play games on their phones. How many people in Nigeria multitask with their phones.
One thing for sure is that the early birds gets the best worms, Transion will continue to dominate the Nigeria market for a long time.
