With carrick injured, I will suggest DM to pair Jones with Rooney in the middle of the park and let us try kagawa / Januzaj and even Nani In that 10 position in the next couple of weeks.

Jones can seat in front of the defense while Rooney will be expected to launch attacks and do box-to-box runs. At least, he has the energy, passion and strength to spare.

This is not about hatred.

This is about rooney not playing the role he is meant and expected to.play. If he wants to be doing workaholic thing, we can as well draft him into Essien's position of DM.

He can never be great in terms of world football if all he does is playing with passion and working hard.

I like his work rate and passion, if that is what he is all about, for optimal performance of the team, we need to get a new pacy ball distributor into that position.

Just finished watching United's game against Arsenal again. Sincerely, rooney was just more of work rate and passion, he did nothing with the ball apart from the corner kick.

Jones was a beast in the CM position. De Gea ought to have brought his iPad to the pitch for the game, he would have finished watching Lord of the Rings without so much qualms.

The problem is that the 2nd half we were playing with a half fit midfield partnership as it was clear neither Cleverley or Carrick were fully fit (particularly Cleverley who looked almost unfit). By the 2nd half Carrick was getting gassed and added to Cleverley's lack of fitness we couldn't continue or 1st half approach effectively.

Jones was phenomenal in that midfield today.

Vidic injury that led to Jones being withdrawn from the midfield gave Arsenal more time on the ball in the midfield unlike when he was there and was busy harassing them like a pitbull
